  1. Lacey Evans is 100% wrong, but Sapp continues to come across as the biggest man-child. I unfollowed him weeks ago and deleted Fightful from my favorites because he constantly sounds like a doofus fan instead of the "journalist" he's supposed to be. More and more, I see CM Punk's point when it comes to wrestling media. Still, fuck Lacey Evans. Just fire her already. She's had a million chances and has whiffed every single one.
  2. Top Dolla vs. Messi at Crown Jewel - book it, Trips!
  3. I caught the end of the game at my parents' house - I don't watch soccer otherwise - and I have to agree it was incredibly exciting! I was shocked to find out Messi had never won a World Cup until now. Glad for him that he finally did.
  4. Dolla is a rookie with two years of experience and very little time in NXT. Of course he's not Bryan Danielson in the ring (and he probably never will be, given his style and body type). The botch was bad - very bad - but someone with more experience would realize they shouldn't be doing moves that don't suit their body type and character. He's still learning. Plus, he said his legs gave out on him, which is fair enough. I won't act like Dolla is a great worker right now - he's still too young in the business for that, and not everyone can be an instant natural like Bron Breakker - but I definitely see the potential future upside.
  5. He is, and they didn't. But, sure, comparing a rookie with two years experience (max!) to someone who has been on the indies for 20 years is definitely fair...
  6. What was her idea? Because it was reported by a TMZ tabloid newz guy in the most ridiculous hyperbolic manner possible.
  7. TIL: His real name isn't Greg Valentine.
  8. There are rumors that Mandy posted something especially racy on her OnlyFans and that's what led to the quick title switch.
  9. It's probably what she wants. I'm not exactly a fan either, but it can't be any worse than what she's been doing all year - which is a whole lotta nothin', and displaying zero personality and passion while doing that whole lotta nothin'.
  10. What did Mick say about Tyrapesaurus Rex?
  11. Unlike the women's, the men's Iron Survivor match was an awesome spectacle and well booked.
  12. I was sports-entertained! New Day rocks. So does Pretty Deadly.
  13. I was hoping for Indi. Just call her up already!
  14. So did the domestic abuser Jake Atlas, but Tony later said he wasn't actually signed.
  15. This is absolutely the worst-case scenario and very bad fucking news. It's obvious that TK did not envision the show being on Honor Club, or he would've done that months ago. On top of that, AEW's version of Honor Club is demonstrably worse than the original, with PPVs now on a 90-day delay. R.I.P. ROH (again!)
  16. This match is dull as shit. I was expecting a confusing convoluted clusterfuck, but not drop dead boring. Update: It picked up in the last minute. That final 60-second stretch was great. Too bad the rest of the match wasn't.
  17. Which is why I think the last person in one of these matches will win it, for a more thrilling moment.
  18. New thread for NXT Deadline:
  19. Men's Iron Survivor Challenge - Winner earns No. 1 Contender for NXT Title: Axiom vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Grayson Waller vs. JD McDonagh vs. Joe Gacy Women's Iron Survivor Challenge - Winner earns No. 1 Contender for NXT Women's Title: Cora Jade vs. Indi Hartwell vs. Kiana James vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Zoey Stark NXT Championship Match: Bron Breakker © vs. Apollo Crews NXT Tag Team Title Match: Pretty Deadly © vs. The New Day Women's Match: Alba Fyre vs. Isla Dawn Iron Survivor Challenge Match Rules Five Superstars will compete in this unique 25-minute match as they battle each other and the clock. Two Superstars will start the match, and every five minutes a new Superstar will enter the match until all five are in the ring. The goal is to have the most falls when the clock hits 25 minutes. Falls can be won at any time via pinfall, submission, or disqualification. When a Superstar scores a fall, they will earn one point. However, when a Superstar loses a fall, that Superstar must pay the penalty. They are forced out of the ring and into a penalty box for 90 seconds. Once the 90 seconds are up, the Superstar can re-enter the match. The Superstar who has scored the most falls when the clock hits 25 minutes will be named the Iron Survivor and become the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship, respectively.
  20. Rhea had a rocky start in NXT and WWE (while everyone else fawned over her, I did not see it), but she has found herself and is firing on all cylinders now.
  21. Now, now, let's not get carried away. In no way does EY compare to the human sleeping pill Tony Nese. I like Marshall, but he's mainly a guy who puts others over, helps with training and office stuff, etc. EY has had a far more accomplished career.
  22. Not sure why all the hate for EY. Sanity wasn't my cup of tea, but Eric Young is a versatile performer who can make anything work and work from any position on the card. We need more of those, not less.
  23. True, but I assume if TV ever comes, it will focus on mostly younger guys with a few indie vets (like the Briscoes and Colt) as anchors.
  24. After thinking about my conversation with brother @Dav'oh and others here, I've reached what is probably the obvious conclusion regarding Bryan's seemingly contradictory statements. 1. Bryan said he loves the feeling of being in big fight main event situations. 2. Bryan also said he doesn't care about the spotlight and wants to work with younger guys. I'm far from the first person on PWO to suggest this, but I think Bryan will end up beating Jericho for the ROH "World" Title, giving him both #1 and #2.
