He's a guy you'd think would be can't-miss but they sure miss a lot these days.

Are independent contractors contracted with companies with over 100 employees required to be vaccinated?

Brian Cage is a big fan of Drake Wuertz’s political aspirations. If I was Tony Khan, I’d be perfectly fine with allowing Cage to chase his dream of being a superstar on the independents again.

I agree Hangman still has to be the one to win the belt from Kenny. I think Kenny beats Bryan at Full Gear and Hangman makes his return during the Elite beatdown portion of the post-match to save Bryan. The Dynamite following Full Gear is AEW’s first show in Virginia so Hangman can get the true hero’s welcome when he comes out that night and they kick off the feud for real that night.

My guess is that they’re going to wind up circling back to Cody as the TNT champ before too long and that Eddie would be a transitional champ. Eddie definitely doesn’t need the belt but it’s like a lifetime achievement award moment for him.

I agree and think the Arthur Ashe show should be Kingston’s big moment. That crowd is going to be batshit for him.

Agreed. I'm a huge Dustin fan and I thought this match was underwhelming at best.

Oh shit that's driving range for me.

I guarantee Pillman got a text from Austin telling him he needs to lay his punches in.

The whole situation sums up what a dead end NXT had devolved into when they decided to try to be a super-indy under the WWE umbrella.

I’m generally in the same boat RE: Cole, to the point that if he had been the biggest surprise on Sunday night, I would have been disappointed and I didn’t even find it exciting being there live. I was a huge fan of him pre-WWE signing but I thought he got played out pretty thoroughly there, regardless of how over the “Adam Cole bay-bay” thing always was. That said, after his first two AEW appearances I am far more excited to see the direction he goes in in a new company. I felt sad for Tony.

The Jim Cornette Experience

I’m still on the Rampage portion of the show but I can tell he’s going to be high on Punk/Darby. Hearing him call Excalibur “Excrement” is just dumb. I don’t get how the guy who pushed Davey Richards as ROH world champ is burying Daniel Garcia as being someone completely lacking credibility. I was live for a Garcia/Richards match at AAW last weekend and thought it was very good, and I think Garcia has been really good during his AEW run, especially since he essentially came out of nowhere. -
I agree on the Good Brothers. I did like Anderson a lot in early NJPW Bullet Club days, and some of their tag work over there. However, IMO, Gallows is cooked. They are the only part of the Elite act that doesn’t work for me. I guess Nakazawa, too, but he’s so insignificant that I can’t bother to be bothered.

Since I’ve been consuming all the All Out takes this week, I’m going to listen to Corny’s review. Lord help me. -
Yeah I was watching this on a loop the other night when it popped up on the TL. Good shit.

Martin is so good and he’s like 20 years old. An added fun part of being in the crowd for the GCW War Games show this past weekend was seeing Martin, Hook, Bowens, and some other AEW guys (of course Janela and Marko, along with some others laying more low) in attendance soaking that spectacle in. I’m glad they signed Moriarty as long as he gets to keep working his indie dates, which I assume he will. He’s really good.

It deserved every buy it got. I’m hoping to fly down to STL in November, too.

Cutler fucking rules and I will not tolerate any slander.

Nick Jackson is absolutely peaking right now.

Anyone know how long Steve Austin’s legends deal runs?

Reading these @Jimmy Redman rundowns makes me feel like (COVID-willing) I will wind up running into you at an AEW show eventually!

The fact that they don’t even know what company Mt. Rushmore was in makes me doubt the veracity of this rumor. Also, Generico was supposed to turn heel and be in the group originally and I hope we one day get that run.

Nah, I’ll still pass. The Andrade run has been disappointing thus far, though I think he’s been in a general rut for quite a while.

God what an incredible show to be in the crowd for. Easily the best wrestling experience I have ever had in person, if not period. I loved basically everything from the pre-show on. It was my third AEW live show (after All Out 2019 and Revolution 2020) and it blew them both out of the water. We also went to AAW, Black Label Pro, and the GCW War Game shows this weekend and my love for pro wrestling has been completely reinvigorated.

In town for AEW, we went to the AAW show last night and it was good, though the main event was a 60 minute draw between Yehi and Josh Alexander, which made the show as a whole a bit on the too long side. Nothing on the show was terrible, though everything got a bump from it being my first live show since Revolution in February 2020. Going to the Black Label and GCW shows tomorrow, as well.
