Cody is so lame, but I enjoyed most of the show. This run by Bryan has been spectacular and it’s only going to get better the next couple of weeks with the Meat Man and Hanger matches. I love all weird Sting content and his face paint for this one was great.

I know he's not super-popular around here but it was nice to be able to see him sink his teeth into a match for the first time in forever. I'm looking forward to seeing him work on the indies more in the future. Just doesn't seem like he'll be a fit in AEW after his contract is up, and I think it's best for everyone involved.

It is part of my Saturday AM routine, too. Always an easy watch. How vital it is seems to be dependent upon how close it is to a PPV.

I got to see Wayne in person a few times in Chicago during All Out weekend and it’s wild that he’s 16.

Listened to that Danielson ep on a flight this week. Great stuff. Will the FKAABT’s be returning?

It made the Kenny Omega playing basketball scene possible and that is worth all the money in the world.

What an awesome get. Probably still my favorite AEW match. Going to have to re-watch before I listen.

Haha, true! Though I think I have had that since like 2017 and just change the year, and this year had to change his name. I want a Stallion vs Danielson match on Dark.

I hadn't seen this comp posted anywhere on here, but it was made by Brian Mann (a former WWE writer) about the Hangman story. It's a really fun watch, especially for people who are unfamiliar. I watched it with my girlfriend this past weekend and she loved it, even though she had hardly seen any AEW previously and isn't exactly a wrestling fan.

Has to be Danielson for me, but the only promotion I have watched regularly is AEW.

Fun show again, as always. Can’t wait for Bryan/Hanger.

Thought it was a very good show but definitely not All Out. Hard to follow that one. MJF/Darby was easily MOTN for me and I obviously loved Punk/Eddie, as well. I was tearing up just during Hangman’s entrance. Cowboy shit. I had zero doubts Kenny would deliver in that match and he did. I was losing my mind during the finishing kick, especially the lariat that Kenny took the flip bump on. I do agree with those who said that the Bucks involvement was deflating to a degree. I would have liked to have Dark Order out there at the same time if the Bucks were going to show up. Bryan/Miro was underwhelming to me. Especially the finishing stretch, involving a kick exchange where Bryan never kicks Miro’s heavily taped leg, while Miro repeatedly throws kicks with it. Really bizarre psychology and weird to see guys as smart as those two work like that. Then they botched the DDT to the point that I don’t believe they could even show the replay of the finish. Britt is basically in the Cody category for me. If she’s involved in a meaty storyline, I can get into her matches. If not, I am bored to tears. This fell into the latter category. Britt’s not a good enough worker to carry a very good match and no one in that building was buying Conti. Expected the Inner Circle/ATT match to be worse. Was into the Bucks/Jurassic match until it turned into a marathon.

Truly a horrible company.

I have seen people calling Danielson/Suzuki a MOTYC so it seems like the strike exchanges were successful. I thought it was a really good match but was longer than it needed to be and I don’t really think we need to see it again. As far as Punk as goes, the match with Sydal makes me think he’s “From Elvis In Memphis” era Elvis. And that’s the best Elvis.

I finally got around to this episode this morning. Would agree with the Garcia match being the best of Punk’s so far in the comeback. Much like Bryan using the Cattle Mutilation as a finish on Nick Jackson, I liked Punk using the Anaconda Vice to beat Garcia. It’s good for the hierarchy. Garcia has been killing it every weekend against a variety of opponents and it has been really fun to watch. He has a lot of potential and I hope he gets to keep spreading his wings all over the country for a while longer yet. Liked Starks/Cage, too. The rest of the show was pretty much just filler to me but when it’s a 60 minute wrestling show being watched on DVR, it’s pretty hard for anything to be too offensive, at least for me.

This show was one of the definitive tapes of my childhood that I watched a hundred times and wore out. Watching it tonight for the first time in probably 10 years and this match definitely holds up. Of course I wish it had a clean finish but I love it regardless. I’m sure some of it is nostalgia but there are some really clever spots and I really like Tenta a lot. Easily match of the night.

I don’t think they are competition. PWG is its own entity and since they don’t stream, they have access to some wrestlers that other companies don’t. Plus they only run one building (aside from occasional one-offs) as opposed to GCW running all over the country. PWG is essentially a hobbyist promotion while GCW is a true touring promotion. I love them both, though.

I think Jason Jordan was starting to hit his stride before he got hurt. I was really enjoying him at that time.

I had forgotten they actually ended a PPV like this. So weird. It goes completely off the rails when Austin doesn’t cover HHH after the Stunner and spends what feels like an eternity positioning a chair on HHH’s ankle and eventually his neck before HHH finally gets up and they walk and brawl into the backstage area. Once they go through the curtain, it goes from off the rails to absolute absurdity leading to the forklift finish. Just a very messy match, but great blood from HHH and Austin doing Austin stuff that I’ll never not pop for.
