  1. I also don't care about Bischoff. I had a feeling this would end after the wedding since Tony was pretty clear that was the main reason he did this podcast and they were pretty transparent in trying to shoehorn in t-shirt ideas to make money every episode. It is really cool that it did get him back into wrestling though with him calling MLW shows. Conrad did get on my nerves at times, but this was a pretty fun podcast overall. I think my favorite moment was Conrad saying that the first new wrestling Tony watched since WCW ended was the 2017 Royal Rumble and Tony left him a text that said "Who the fuck is Big Cass and why is he on my tv. He is the drizzling shits".
  2. I was just going to say that Flair being that high seems like the craziest placement out of this new batch. I mean, I loved his first run and he had some great moments/matches in the second run, but the highest I could go with him is mid 40's.
  3. Tony's reaction to hearing about The Mexicools for the first time was absolutely hilarious.
  4. They loved Superbrawl 3. My favorite thing about this podcast is the complete 180 Tony has about wrestling. He's even searching out shows he's never seen on the network. I'm pretty much trying to tune out Conrad at this point. I'm listening for the WCW discussion, but he's very offputting. I remember him seeming fine on the Flair podcast and I haven't listened to enough of the Prichard one to have an opinion on it. He keeps trying to shoehorn in his boring beef with the Steiners in this episode and I don't find him funny at all. I usually skip ahead when he's busting Tony's balls and trying to bait him into an argument. Tony is great, and is why I haven't stopped listening to What Happened When.
  5. These high votes on some of these guys are kind of great. I went with a really safe list for the most part. I went with who I felt as the best, rather than my favorites. I kind of regret it now, as I could've had Viscera, Steve Blackman, and Savio Vega in my top 20.
  6. Add me to the Booker T love. I thought he was a breath of fresh air when he started back in 2011, and then loved him again when he came back. He actually sounds different and unproduced compared to every other announcer (including Graves). His rants remind me of Dusty and commentary needs someone like him to keep things interesting. And, his yelling makes me laugh unlike Mauro's which I just find grating.
  7. Is Kevin Kelly well regarded? He's just Michael Cole except he calls more moves and is even more shrill somehow. Callis gave me some 2012-2017 JBL vibes too and I remember being okay with his ECW commentary. Honestly, I'd prefer really disinterested JR over this.
  8. Big Vis is a good one although I think he probably would've been more respected if he was in a different era. A big fat guy that can throw a nice spinning heel kick would probably get over like gangbusters today.
  9. Chuck Palumbo. He had a great punch, a good superkick, and awesome hair.

    WWE TV 8/28-9/4

His "congratulations, you just cut your first decent promo in five years" line was straight out of the HHH playbook.
  11. There's also the last three months of 2009 when AJ/Joe/Daniels feuded for the world title and Nigel McGuiness got signed to feud with Angle. I also remember Scott Steiner having decent matches with Lashley around this time. It seemed like they finally were getting back to near summer 2005 levels of quality again but then Hogan/Bischoff came in and everything got extra terrible.

  13. They can always use future WWE hall of famer and Diva pioneer Kelly Kelly.

    Mauro and JBL

Isn't RIZIN also a japanese promotion? That might've been it. RIZIN is MMA. It's probably NJPW.
  15. Tony doing the pbp for the Coal Miners Glove match from Halloween Havoc 92 is hilarious. Prbably the best moment of the podcast yet.

    Mauro and JBL

JBL also hazed WCW referee Billy Silverman until he quit the company in late 2001. This has been going on for nearly twenty years without anyone batting an eye.
  17. I'm shocked British Bulldog isn't in yet. Vader if his health holds up. Molly Holly probably as well.
  18. I don't understand why this podcast is not as popular as the Prichard one. The Conrad/Bruce bickering is obnoxious and the anti Meltzer rants got old after the fourth or fifth week. Tony is really funny, honest, and has great chemistry with Conrad.
  19. I like Shamrock in the Bret/Austin I Quit match as well. He stayed out of the way when he had too and really added to the ending without distracting from the match.
  20. Rey Mysterio in the Raw Elimination Chamber at No Way Out 2009. A masterclass in bumping and selling.
  21. Woody Harrelson would be a perfect Stone Cold Steve Austin as long as you replace beer with hemp.
