  1. Yeah I was also hoping for Garvin, but it didn't pan out. Instead I got a great heel tag team. I was thinking of adding Martel, but he wasn't high on my list because I had babyfaces lined up. And I had this feeling Steven was after him. So that was out. Now I just hope for a few things to hold until early round 4 and 5.
  2. With the last pick in round 1 Montreal selects Jacques Rougeau. Rougeau stays at the podium for the next pick, which follows immediately. The Midnight Express (Condrey & Rose) are selected. Condrey and Rose walk around the attempted handshake by Rougeau and stand on the opposite side of the podium. Rougeau looks incensed but does not confront the two. The Midnights exit the stage before Rougeau, again completely ignoring him.
  3. Would Hayes be my announcer? Or did they have another?
  4. Looks like Brito is also on there. Valois is not an active wrestler so it seems he is the one.
  5. I just don't know who announced for Montreal. If I did there would be a name there instead of a question mark.
  6. Eh, I'll get by. I figured I wouldn't have an ideal setup for what I wanted to do until at least three years in anyway, so I'm taking it as it comes.
  7. Montreal Owner: Frank Valois Announcer: Jacques Rougeau Sr. & Jean Rougeau Wrestlers/Managers: Raymond Raugeau Jacques Rougeau Dennis Condrey Randy Rose King Tonga
  8. Bravo was listed as an active wrestler for Montreal. Might be a good idea to take him off the owners list.
  9. I'm cool with that.
  10. I've seen quite a bit of 93 AJPW myself and Kobashi's 1993 is one of my favorite years anyone had as a wrestler. If you've read anything I've written about late 90s AJPW or 2000s NOAH you know how I feel about Kobashi later on. I would put Kobashi above Kawada in 93 for the same reasons jdw mentioned. Kobashi was on fire in 1993 against everyone. And it's hard to argue with his point about Misawa. Regardless of match quality across the board 1993 was the year he firmly established himself as the ace of the company. And it was accomplished while changing the style from the Jumbo era to what is commonly seen as All Japan style. When you look at what was happening that year it's pretty amazing things went as smoothly as they did. It could have just as easily flopped due to Misawa being unable to carry the load after it was clear Jumbo wasn't coming back.
  11. I have to agree. Randomizing every round means that some people can get really lucky while others can get very unlucky. Snake drafting it at least gives that fair shot to the people who get shafted on the random in the first, third, etc.
  12. I'm gonna say that PeachChaos has one very obvious choice.
  13. Edit: Okay, I can see that.
  14. Should we start working on a draft order?
  15. Crossface had made a suggestion earlier to start a new thread with rules/promotions/etc. all laid out at the beginning. Seems like a good idea instead of having to wade through 20 pages of stuff to find specifics. Maybe add in the particulars of who comes with each promotion as well.
  16. I think he wants Carlos as owner + a save.
  17. Yeah Ted is your guy if Mid South goes forward after that. Him and JYD were their big draws at the time along with Murdoch it seems like. At this point Magnum was still more of a guy on the rise IIRC. And depending on the rules we go with regarding that he's got three years left before his big accident. Who knows who Parv gets in the first few rounds. Could be he picks up somebody you really want.
  18. I'm doubting whether or not there was ever going to be any secrecy at all there.
  19. Because he is the biggest Ted mark in the world.
  20. Montreal will be keeping Raymond Rougeau.
  21. That would make sense but wiki has International based in Manitoba. I'm all for picking from the International roster though.
  22. Is All Star the Montreal promotion? Didn't see anything else that would be it.
  23. Good we're set. What pool am I picking from then?
  24. How about this punk. You can take Mid South and I'll be Montreal. If that sounds like something you'd want to do we can make that switch and everything is set.
