  1. Holy shit! Enjoyed this list last year, looking forward to setting aside 16 hours for this.
  2. From the start? As in 2003

  4. http://www.sheetsandwich.com/107-year-end-pro-wrestling-coverage-awards-2017-sheetys-nominees-dave-meltzer-wade-keller-fightful-com-voices-wrestling-lapsed-fan/ Please, fellow PWO'ers, listen from the 50-61 minute portion of this episode. Could be that I'm around you cool 'whatever floats your boat' folks too much, but I really cannot see why anyone's that upset at listing Stroman over Okada in a wrestler of the year poll. Is twitter really that bad?!
  5. Episodes 204, 211, 213 and 214 have been covering specific periods from the 80s and are a welcome return to form.
  6. Glad this thread is still going - I think it's a really interesting question. I was listening to the 605 Christmas special and during the group discussion someone asked what modern wrestling everyone watches. Replies were in the 'bit of this/bit of that' range. Most of them were fans since the 70s and 80s, which gets me wondering if that's the normal way of most wrestling fans - you stay interested/current until a certain point and then just delve into your memories and nostalgia when it's not 'your wrestling' anymore. I'm 39 and can already see my viewing tilting more towards 70s/80s/90s as time passes. I'm very specific about what current matches and angles I watch now (I wouldn't dream of watching anything live). That's partly due to the huge amount of current wrestling out there, but even if there was less I think I'd still be picky. Is Meltzer a massive exception to that?
  7. There was a cool little story with Lance Storm on Keller's show a few week's ago. Storm talked about how well-informed and up to date Jericho is when interviewing non-wrestling guests, but the he (Storm) and other wrestlers were startled at how many well known stories from within the business came as a surprise to Jericho when talking with wrestlers.
  8. My wife bought me the book as a Christmas present. I'm up to the start of 1993 now. As everyone else has said, really good, detailed work on the early part of his life and career. I hadn't really thought about how much he disappeared in the latter part of 1990, that was interesting. And I didn't know the first idea was a tag team with Benoit in late 1992.
  9. Hall of Fame discussion on this week's 605 - looking forward to giving it a listen. Also, I'll say that the Christmas special was very good - much better than the recent backslapping festivals the holiday specials have descended into.
  10. Yeah, it's as if Conrad's thrown in the towel on getting genuine insight out of Tony and has settled for whatever gags he can get. Sounds a bit desperate when he laughs uproariously too.
  11. Wow, no 2s yet. Havent decided myself, but I do love savouring and rewatching stuff. And, in my 26 years as a fan, I like to think I've already watched most of the best American stuff already available, so that counts in option 2's favour (I can rewatch anything I've already seen from the past). The devil had his diabolical hat on with this - it's not that straightforward.
  12. Watched it now. The three matches listed above were well worth your time.

  14. It's a belter. I remember Parv and Chad watched it too (one of them did, anyway).....
  15. The devil arrives at your door on January 1st 2018. He offers you two choices. 1. From this day forth, you may watch any wrestling that occurs. But only once. And you may watch any wrestling prior to this date - once - as long as you have not previously watched it. (The Devil is telling you that you cannot rewatch any wrestling ever again). 2. From this day forth, you are only allowed to watch wrestling you have seen previously. You will not see any wrestling from the year 2018, or subsequent years until you die. In terms of wrestling prior to 2018, you may only rewatch footage you have already seen. On the plus side, you can watch this footage as often as you like. (The Devil is telling you that you may only rewatch wrestling from this point forward). Whatcha think?!!
  16. Predictive text on ipad. Grrrr..............
  17. Haven't watched yet, but keen to see joe and reigns again

  19. Sounds good. Can you make available to download on soundcloud please?
  20. I don't post as much on PWO as I used to but still visit daily and enjoy the discussion. This is a really valuable place to me. Merry Christmas.
  21. completely agree. This should have been tackled on a feud by feud basis to give an overview
  22. Really enjoyed this one - No top 10 and nothing I skipped. The Slaughtering a sacred cow on Bruiser Brody should be of interest at all PWOers. http://605pod.com/
  23. I'm still listening. Inoffensive little show but man, wrestling analysis has come a long long way since the 80s.
  24. Their whole Twitter presence is basically doing their gimmick and ripping people who criticize them for flips, super kicks, etc. They are working 24/7. Thats old school. Also, anyone who @s a wrestler to rip them should fuck off. Likewise wrestlers or athletes that seek out mentions of themselves and block those people when they never @ them should get a fucking life. I'm not on twitter, but I get the impression very little good comes from it with wrestling.
