  1. Hmmm... seems to have gone to an all live watching format lately. I have mixed feelings about that. I'm not sure whether I hate or despise it.
  2. I don't normally listen to this, but some of the matches intrigued me. Extra interesting when it's a relative novice to 80s American wrestling. Good stuff.
  3. Also, did anyone else think John Hitchcock sounded like a real asshole with the 'pretending to be from Russia to the old lady' story?
  4. Yeah, that was an issue for me too, Matt. Also very light on analysis.
  5. Sounds promising.. http://bowdrenpod.com/
  6. Prichard's covering No Mercy 1999 this week. Fans voted for Unforgiven 1999 last month. Great work, voters.....
  7. Dare I ask but are you boys back for good?
  8. I think it was on the 2007 Michaels set (can't remember the name).
  9. I just encountered this http://www.podcasts.com/japanese-wrestling-classics-with-roy-lucier-57ac2f511/episode/Japanese-Wrestling-Classics-with-Roy-Lucier-Episode-4-With-Kurt-Beyer-8982 Might be just the ticket.
  10. Destroyer was fine, but it would have been nice if Jericho knew more about his career.
  11. Austin and Kendrick provided commentary on Chi-Town Rumble's Flair-Steamboat recently. Worth a listen, in my opinion.
  12. Dynamite kid wasn't fond of him in his book. I know, I know....
  13. The download option isn't available on soundcloud.
  14. Well? I was thinking about this WWF narrative lately. Also, were there any WWF matches prior that topped Savage-Steamboat? And how long did Michaels-Razor stand atop the pole?
  15. Again, thorough stuff boys. Well done!
  16. Really odd bit on the q and a this week - Conrad asked something to the effect of when did Tony feel Crockett promotions was doing well and he replied 'never'. Also, his continuing defense of Russo makes no sense.
  17. I remember him writing a blog about the pressures inside WWE. He seemed quite intelligent in it (can't find it online at the minute).
  18. Not to speak ill of the dead, obviously.
  19. I was going to comment on the fact that I'm not sure how far back I trust my opinion on favourite/best matches, but the last comment above caught my attention too. Ricky, was it a conscious decision to avoid rewatching stuff? I agonize with myself over whether I should do less rewatching and more brand new to me stuff all the time...
  20. So....is it any good? I listened to the interviews with Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan so far, enjoyed both. What's the rest of the show like?
  21. A good show. Charles' point about Meltzer saying 2014 G1 was the greatest tournament in history without discussing other great tournaments or giving context was what I was getting at with the Cena match at Summerslam.
  22. I suppose it does. Would like to hear more from you on this. Do you have a Cena great matches list from the GWE days?
  23. Has he? I see Cena as having great years in 2006, 2007 and from 2013 onwards. Scattered highlights here and there in between.
  24. I'm not defending the match (I haven't watched the wretched thing btw).
