Highly recommend episode 30 https://pacificrimwrestling.podbean.com/ Pacific Rim Pro Wrestling Podcast Episode #30 July 17, 2018 For the first time ever released to the public, on the 30th anniversary of Bruiser Brody's death: Fumi Saito's interview with Bruiser Brody recorded in 1985. Among many topics, Brody talks about Jumbo Tsuruta, Jimmy Snuka, working as an independent and his legacy.

Prichard addressed this on STW ages ago (can’t remember the episode). He was unapologetic about it, arguing that as soon as you submit an idea it’s fair game to be used anywhere the company sees fit. Asshole.

I’m listening to the first of the Danielson’s 2006 episodes. Really enjoyable so far. Great detail on the matches.

Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard
BigBadMick replied to Lust Hogan's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I think Conrad's seemed pissed off/bored for quite a while now. It seems like every time Bruce's answer doesn't satisfy him he huffs for a few seconds before moving on. Feels like a couple arguing at times. -
Great show and eagerly anticipated as noted above. However, I'm curious about the Flair discussion. I didn't follow along on facebook but the argument that he did a lot more in the NWA/WCW is only part of the problem in such high rankings, to me. I really cannot see anything in his 2001-08 run that helps put him in a top 40 spot. Justin, would you say Flair was a Top 20 roster member anytime in that second run? Genuinely curious - I think this could be a part of the disconnect you saw in the discussion.

About time! Keep 'em coming mate.

Best of luck with this, Loss.

Isn't there something odd about the finish of Hogan and Race? It looks like the legdrop was filmed in post. Perhaps something to do with Harleys injury.

What Happened When with Tony Schiavone

Query - I'm a big fan of Slamboree 93 (one of the first tapes I ordered way back when). Do they pay much attention to events onscreen in this episode? -
Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
BigBadMick replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
Absolutely, wrestling should not ever be any point of contention in your personal relationships. My significant other isn't a fan and I don't try to change that, I respect that others I have in my life aren't gonna dig wrestling. Amen to that. I wish some of my friends were into it, but what can you do. I'm just happy the wife is cool with me watching as much as I do -- some spouses would complain about someone spending a fraction of the time watching that I do, so its a damn good thing we're comfortable doing our own thing at times I had friends watching with me for a while at university in the late 90s, but it's been a solitary pursuit after they dropped off. I agree about needing to do your own thing too - to each their own, but I've never understood couples that seem inseparable. -

Doctor, just so you know, my wife hates wrestling. I'd imagine most posters here don't have significant others that share a passion for wrestling. Try not to let this be that important to your relationship. -
And Slamboree 93, commentating on the bock v dory match.

Wrestling War Zone: The Monday Night Wars w/ JT & Chad
BigBadMick replied to Bigelow34's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I'll be honest lads, when I first saw these, my reaction was 'Really? Jesus, again?!!!' but you've put a fresh coat of paint on the topic and it's been interesting so far. Now, how about you two bridge the gap from the last WTBBP and cover WCW PPVs from July 93 to August 95? -
83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff
BigBadMick replied to flyonthewall2983's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I listened to the Bret episode. I'll say this for Bischoff - he's put a lot of time and effort into prep for this episode. Not nearly as much 'i don't recall..' answers as I was expecting based on previous interviews. -

He's on Wade Keller's free podcast this week. He's a businessman through and through. https://www.podcastone.com/episode/WKPWP---Flagship-with-Keller--Conrad-Thompson-talking-All-Ins-sellout-Starrcast-convention-the-rise-of-Pro-Wrestling-Podcasts-Reigns-5-17-18 -
How much time a week do you devote to watching wrestling?
BigBadMick replied to SpecialK's topic in Pro Wrestling
I know what you mean. And by the time I've gone through wrestling podcasts at work, a lot of the time I don't feel like actually watching much. -
Got married in January. We've been together six years. I have a 7 year old stepson (his father isn't on the scene at all) and a 16 month old girl. Work as a painter/decorator with my brother. It started as a summer job getting through university, and for short spells of unemployment, but resigned myself to it a couple of years ago as the easy/sensible option. I finished my history and Politics degree in 1999, tried various office jobs, lived in Belfast for a while, but this country mouse seemed to get chewed up and spat out.

First two that spring to mind are Austin and Michaels.
-
That's a really interesting and unique way to get into wrestling.

I'd love it if someone could explain the appeal of curb your enthusiasm. I just see a self absorbed incredibly wealthy man getting into very trivial arguments..

Really doesn't take much to set you off, does it?

Virtually ignoring the Flair-Steamboat match at Clash 6 was the final straw for me.
