  1. I think I have everything up to date... please check and post here if there is anything that needs to change. I think we can go ahead with the flex on April 1st... you can choose a 3 person jobber pack, a manager, or a regular wrestler. We can continue on with that same deal as we have the other +1s throughout the year.
  2. Mid South adds Lord Humungous and drops E Bracero
  3. I agree. When we get into January we can take another look with the fresh faces of 1985 in which I encourage everyone to try and add on to the list. I think we jumped the gun with some of the names for 84... so that list may be small but high in long term talent.
  4. So the +1 can be used as a wrestler, manager, or jobber pack?
  5. I think the manager +1 is fine... a cap of 4 managers is doable in my book. the WWF in the late 80s had about 5-6 so I think we cap at 4 and go from there.
  6. Just doing some house keeping stuff. "The roster cap of 34 36 workers and 3 managers stays into affect. For those individuals that would like to expand, could we look at upping the worker cap by 1 every four months? The first bump wouldn’t happen until April 1st, then August 1st, then December 1st, to have 1984 end with us having a total roster cap of 37 workers and 3 managers?" Now even since this, we changed things to have a 36 person roster with a 3 manager amendment additionally, we have the two jobber packs. If we continue on this same track, we will be up to 37 on April 1st, 38 on August 1st, and then 39 on December 1st with January 1st bumping one more time to 40 for the 1985 fresh face draft. Are we okay with those changes and movements? I also wanted to see if as companies grew, there would be anyone interested in have the possibility of one of those new +1s being an additional 3rd jobber pack for those interested? I didn't really notice how quickly I cycled through jobbers and just wanted to put it out there. The roster would then be 34 workers, 3 jobber packs, and 3 managers.

  8. I am going to use Grizzly Smith as an authority figure... he was with Mid South around this time.
  9. Mid South Wrestling is coming to you on its Fox Affiliates throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Action is coming to you tonight from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma @ the Civic Center. {We see the hype video for MSW as we cut to the arena where Jim Ross is standing by.} Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to Mid South Wrestling! I am Jim Ross and fans we are coming to you from Oklahoma City and what a night we have planned. I want to bring out Grizzly Smith right now. Grizzly Smith is one of the members of the board of directors and a matchmaker here for Mid South. Grizz… you are here to tell us about the status of the television championship… what is the ruling of the board? Grizzly Smith: Jim, we have been meeting for a couple of weeks now and talking about the status of Wrestling II. His knee was heavily damaged from the match with Scott Casey in the Superdome. He is said to be working through the injury Jim Ross: I think the biggest question on everyone’s mind is when will he be back in the ring and when will he defend the title? Grizzly Smith: As it stands right now… we are giving Mr. Wrestling II 30 days to defend his title. He will first need to be cleared by a doctor… Jim Ross: That date is going to be on Friday Night March the 16th in Houston… Grizzly: If he’s able to defend the title, he will on that night… Jim Ross: Wait just a moment… Rick Rude and King Kong Bundy… Jimmy Hart… what are you doing out here? {Rude, Bundy, and Jimmy Hart walk out and Hart is rolling from the word go right now…} Jimmy Hart: Well lemme tell you something Jim Ross. For too long have I gone without getting a shot at a title for my men! You look right here… King Kong Bundy, the biggest and the baddest man in professional wrestling! You look at Rick Rude… the most ravishing body and the strongest man in the sport! Jim Ross: You’ve got to be kidding me… Jimmy Hart: You don’t pull the strings here Ross! Since Watts is laid up, I am talking to you Grizzly Smith! I want a match for my men… a championship match! Grizzly Smith: In my opinion, you guys may have done well recently, but well enough isn’t enough in my book. How about tonight… we see just how good you are in tag team action against Wahoo McDaniel and Magnum TA! {The crowd pops, as Jimmy Hart wasn’t expecting that! Rude and Bundy don’t look happy but they are going to be in the ring tonight with Wahoo and Magnum! Jim Ross puts over the match and then he throws it to the ring where we’ve got singles action!} S.D. Jones vs The Executioner -The Executioner is back here in Mid South after his recent loss to Andre in the Superdome. SD Jones brings some nice offense but the Executioner is something special in that ring. He beats down Jones pretty good and works over his back before going for a reverse bear-hug and even adds in a shake as Jones looks to be out of it. The Executioner gets his hand raised and looks menacing to the crowd… what does his future hold? *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Jim Ross putting over the recent issues with the Russians and Hacksaw Duggan here on Mid South. We see some footage of Duggan vs Kruschev and he puts over how tonight may be World War 3! He puts over how Kruschev says he has something special in store for Duggan here tonight! Jim Duggan vs Krusher Kruschev -We have got a lot of heat behind this one as Kruschev is working the fans when he brings out the Russian Flag. The crowd is really letting him have it. Duggan works the fans over with the US Flag and then we see a nice little 8-minute contest with some HARD HITTING action. Duggan goes for a big clothesline but Kruschev gets out of the way and Duggan goes flying into the ring post! Kruschev then grabs him and tosses him over the top ropes to the floor! Nick Patrick is threatening to DQ him as out of the back… wait a minute… Alexis Smirnoff and Chris Markoff! These two Russians are at ringside and they are kicking and stomping away at Duggan! Patrick calls for the bell and the DQ now as Krusher pushes him down in the middle of the ring. Smirnoff and Markoff throw Duggan back in the ring. This is a nasty 3 on 1 beatdown! Ross is going nuts on commentary as the crowd pops when Dr. Death Steve Williams runs out to the ring! The All-American from Oklahoma is here and the crowd explodes! He comes in with some big shots on all three men but the numbers are just too much! We see officials and agents run out to the ring. Duggan and Williams start to fight back…but the Russians retreat! They look to be in all smiles here… Ross puts this through the roof! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Ross putting over the issue with the Russians and the Americans. He wonders who will be able to join Duggan and Williams in their fight against the Russians. He then turns his attention to the big contest we saw last week in which Don Muraco defeated Masked Superstar, thanks to Paul Jones holding his leg on accident. Ross puts over how tonight’s match is one on one and if Muraco wins, Jose is going to have to leave Mid South… if Jones wins, then Muraco will have to leave! Let’s go to the ring! LOSER LEAVES TOWN Don Muraco vs Paul Jones -This one isn’t much of a contest but a fun little brawl. Jones is able to get in a shot here and there… but nothing special. Ross says Jones doesn’t deserve to be in the ring but we see him get in some decent enough offense to make the match manageable but the end game is Muraco beating him down something awful and getting a measure of revenge. Muraco then sets him up for the big TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER and Jones is out! He picks him up one more time…. TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! Muraco covers for the 1…2…..3! The crowd pops as Muraco picks up Jones and tosses him over the ropes to the floor! Muraco flexes for the crowd and it appears as though he is on to greener pastures here in Mid South… *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Jim Ross putting over the world tag team champions, Mando and Chavo Guerrero. They are here tonight with Hector and they are working the crowd. They talk about being the true champions of wrestling and say that there is no one who can call themselves champions without going up against them and defeating them. Ross turns his attention to the Fantastics. Chavo says they are 2nd rate champions and don’t deserve the right to fight for the titles. They talk about putting together a showcase here tonight that will prove that they are the ones to beat and the ones who control tag team wrestling. El Bracero & Los Conquistadors vs The Guerreros (Hector, Mando, & Chavo) -A fun six-man with these guys leaving it all in the ring. JR says that they have adapted six-man lucha libre rules and when one man goes to the floor another man from his team comes in. The Oklahoma crowd eats this up pretty good before we see the Guerreros take complete control. They isolate Bracero and hit a nasty combination in which Mando hoists him up on his shoulders and Chavo with a top rope dropkick right to the mush! The Conquistadors try but fall in their effort as we see the 1….2….3. The crowd isn’t happy with the outcome but they appreciate the effort. Ross puts this over and talks about the possibilities of the Guerreros and the Fantastics before we see Fulton and Rogers walk out to the ring. They signal the Guerreros and we may just have our match next week! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Ross putting over all the action from the evening. He then welcomes out Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, and Buddy Jack Roberts to a nice ovation from the crowd. They put over their stance on Hernandez and Blanchard. They talk about wanting to get into the hunt for some gold around Mid South and are looking forward to what happens with the Guerreros next week if they take on the Fantastics. Hayes then comes out and puts down the challenge for Tully Blanchard next week on MSW to the delight of the crowd. They talk about Ted Dibiase and want to know his status… Jim Ross says he doesn’t have anything yet, but perhaps we will know more next week as we head to the ring for our main event… MAIN EVENT Magnum TA & Wahoo McDaniel vs King Kong Bundy & Rick Rude w/ Jimmy Hart -A hot one in OKC tonight. The crowd is 100% behind the Chief, Wahoo McDaniel! This one has got about 15-minutes of television time remaining and these guys use almost all of it. Rude is still coming into his own and is quite green in comparison to the others. Magnum is hitting his early groove as a worker while Bundy is on his way up and Wahoo is right where he wants to be. Jimmy Hart inserts himself into the contest one more than one occasion. Michael Hayes is with Ross on commentary and he puts over the action with in. throughout the contest the big story is the 5-count and if Bundy can put Wahoo down for the 5-count. All hell breaks loose during the match and we see Magnum and Rude outside the ring throwing some huge blows. We then see Hart grabs something from underneath the ring… that’s a… megaphone… wait a minute… Wahoo hits the ropes but Hart CRACKS HIM in the back of the skull with the megaphone! Wahoo falls down and here comes Bundy for the BIG SPLASH for the 1….2…3!! HE screams and the referee counts 1…2…3….4….5!! BUNDY HAS DONE IT! HE PUT HIM DOWN FOR THE FIVE COUNT! Magnum TA then turns Jimmy Hart around and nails him with a big right hand! Rude hammers him from behind! We have got a chaotic end here as Bundy and Rude are helping Jimmy Hart to the back as he puts over how his men will be the champions! Ross puts this over in a big way and says next week we will see the Guerreros taking on the Fantastics and Hayes vs Blanchard! You can’t afford to miss it folks!
  10. Looking to possibly move Jose Lothario and El Bracero for any interested parties.
  11. Pretty good stuff. Sounds like a lot of the stuff Kris talked about with the death of the UWF on Exile on Badstreet but still good things to go along with it. My question would be in regards to the War Games match as everyone in the match has got Mid South ties and not a "strong allegiance" to the NWA either way.
  12. Sounds like a plan. What you've got here looks great, so you will be a very welcomed addition to the crew if you'd like to join up.
  13. Looks like you've got a good set up to start things off. I'd encourage you to take a look at the 1983 project and see if it is something you'd like to do. We incorporate all the Japanese dates and other things from real life into the game that you've noted. We are always interested in new members and can help you put together a roster to get going. Let me know if you have any questions... http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32550-1983-project-guide/

  15. I know we are 9 months away from this draft, but I simply wanted to get the thread started so we could add names to the list and put together a complete list and also keep track of the draft order. 17. Power Pro Wrestling Sunday February 12th {Before Power Pro goes on the air, we see Bill Watts standing by…} Bill Watts: Ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you tonight a hurt man. It was just two days ago that the wrestling world was shocked by the tragic death of one of the brightest stars that this business may ever have… the Yellow Rose of Texas… David Von Erich. David grew up in Texas and filled one of the biggest shadows ever cast when his father Fritz introduced him into Professional Wrestling. David competed all over the world and he is known for his charisma, his athleticism, and his grit. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have to say goodbye to a man who was something special in the world of wrestling but also to those who knew him and spent time with him. David Von Erich will be missed by millions and remembered forever. {Power Pro Wrestling opens showcasing the top talent in Mid South as we cut to the studio and see Vince McMahon standing by.} Vince: Welcome everyone to Power Pro Wrestling! I am Vince McMahon and what a night of action we have for you this evening with some of the top stars in all of Mid South Wrestling. We’d like to first send our condolences to the Von Erich family after the tragic and untimely death of David Von Erich. He will truly be missed around the world. Three men who knew David on a personal and professional level were the Fabulous Freebirds. They showed up in Mid South just this past week on television and laid claim that they were the baddest dudes on the block and sent out the challenge for Gino Hernandez and Tully Blanchard. We have action with the Freebirds now.. The Fabulous Freebirds defeated Omar Atlas, Raul Castro, & Israel Matia -Pretty simple show here for the Birds who look great in their debut. Vince and Ross put over their history in Mid South and talk about the challenge they pose for Gino Hernandez and Tully Blanchard. Ross and McMahon also put over how we will see the end of the Muraco/Masked Superstar match coming up on this broadcast. For the Birds, Buddy does some good work, Michael gets the crowd going, and Terry finishes it off with a nasty spinebuster on Omar Atlas for the 1….2…3! The Birds work the crowd and it won’t be too long until they step into the ring with the Dynamic Duo! *COMMERCIAL* Scott Casey defeated Dominic DeNucci -Scott Casey is back in action here on Power Pro. Ross and McMahon put over his role in the injury to Mr. Wrestling II, which they say may end up costing him the TV Title if he can’t defend it. They say that there will be an announcement this week on MSW about the tv title. They talk about Scott Casey saying he is the rightful champion and also bring up the names of Rick Rude and Magnum TA. Scott Casey finishes things with a bulldog before he grabs him for a BRAINBUSTER for the 1…2..3! -McMahon puts over Scott Casey and says he’s looking forward to what the announcement will be this week on MSW. He then turns his attention to Magnum TA and talks about him standing up against Rick Rude this past week on MSW for Wrestling II and wonders if Scott Casey will try to take advantage of the situation. He talks about Magnum TA being something special and someone who could jump in and take any title right now if he’s given the chance. Magnum TA defeated Tracey Smothers -Magnum has got a lot of momentum right now and Ross and McMahon put him through the roof. Smothers is a good opponent who is able to jump right on top but it isn’t too long before Magnum comes out with a house of fire and a huge BELLY-TO-BELLY Suplex for the 1…2…3! *COMMERCIAL* Dr. Death Steve Williams defeated The Russian Assassin -Dr. Death looks awesome here tonight and the Russian Assassin… whomever it may be… just doesn’t have what it takes. We see Krusher Kruschev come out with him waving the flag but then Duggan comes out and backs off Krusher. Ross and McMahon put over how these two will be in the building for MSW this week. Tonight, we see Williams hit the Oklahoma Stampede for the 1…2…3 and that’s all she wrote! -We go back to the studio and McMahon puts over the issue between Russia and the United States. He talks about Krusher Kruschev trying to recruit others to help him against Duggan and Williams. He then turns his attention to The Guerreros and talks about Mando, Hector, and Chavo coming in and defending the World Tag Team titles. He says that the titles will be on the line in Houston this week against The Fantastics but says that the Guerreros will be in the building this week on MSW. He transitons again to King Kong Bundy and puts over the controversy with Wahoo McDaniel. He puts over a the BIG Houston card for the 17th… 2/17/1984 - Mid South Wrestling Live – Houston, Texas – Sam Houston Coliseum Don Muraco vs Adrian Street w/ Miss Linda Dr. Death Steve Williams vs The Executioner Mil Mascaras vs Matt Borne Magnum TA vs Scott Casey Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Krusher Kruschev Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy vs Gino Hernandez & Tully Blanchard FIVE COUNT MATCH Wahoo McDaniel vs King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart MEXICAN DEATH MATCH Jose Lothario vs Hector Guerrero WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics vs Chavo & Mando Guerrero © TEXAS BULLROPE MATCH Andre the Giant vs Stan Hansen King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart defeated El Bracero -A pretty simple squash here. Jimmy Hart jumped on commentary to say that Bundy put Wahoo down and he’s going to put him down once against this week in Houston. He says the 3 count is enough for a normal man but the 5 count is for champions and Bundy is the real champion of champions in Mid South! We see the AVALANCHE and subsequent 5 count to end things for Bracero. *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro returns with Vince McMahon putting over all the action from the day. He then talks about the big contest from this past week on MSW and the issue between Masked Superstar and Don Muraco. He talks about the contest having a special stipulation in which if Don Muraco wins, he gets a chance at Paul Jones this week… Vince says the match didn’t finish within television time… but we have the ending… let’s take it to the ring in action. Don Muraco vs Masked Superstar w/ Paul Jones - A fun main event but limited television time is remaining. Ross puts over this contest and wonders if the fans will take to Muraco. Masked Superstar looks good here tonight as he is one of the most powerful me in the world of wrestling. He is able to hammer down on Muraco who gets a small pop from the crowd. The fans just aren’t buying into him yet, but he is slowly starts to build some steam. We see some big power moves from both men but Muraco is getting the edge! The crowd is starting to get into it when Muraco NAILS Jones off the apron! Masked Superstar comes and hammers Muraco in the back sending him through the ropes to the floor. Superstar comes out and he is hammering on Muraco but the Magnificent one is firing back and he is fists of fire right now! Ross is going nuts on commentary as we see him hammer Paul Jones and then Masked Superstar! Muraco jumps into the ring as Jones reaches up and grabs Superstars leg as he doesn’t know who he has as Nick Patrick counts to 10! Don Muraco has won it! He gets Paul Jones next week! Paul Jones cost Superstar the match after not knowing he was grabbing his leg! Masked Superstar picks up Jones and pushes him to the ground and tells him to shove it! What in the world is going on here? Masked Superstar walks off! The camera angle is great as Jones has got a huge frown on his face and then he turns around… Muraco is there waiting. Ross puts it through the roof that he gets Paul Jones next week! Jones runs and Muraco is behind him. We’ll see you on MSW this week folks! Hernandez, Blanchard, The Guerreros, the Freebirds, Duggan, Kruschev, and more!
  18. I will listen to any offers for Adrian Street, I like him but just don't have anything for him right now if there's any interest.
  19. 2/11/1984 - Mid South Wrestling Live – Lafayette, Louisiana – Canjundome Jim Brunzell & Brian Blair defeated Raul Castro & Israel Matia Scott Casey & Rick McGraw defeated S.D. 20. HE fits right in as a power house... I may use him with the beard in Mid South though.
  21. Mid South picks up Ivan Putski for Rick McGraw
  22. Memphis continues to move forward here this week with another exciting edition of the show. I said it a couple of weeks ago, the formatting needed some work and you put forth a great effort since then. Now it is not my particular cup of tea, but I am not big on numbering the segments, but to each their own. I know it can help with organization and such. Overall though, I'd say your finding some clarity with your show and the usage of your top guys and finding spots. I am fearful of Lawler's future with so many around him, but he is the King and time will tell.
  23. Continued consistency from Southeastern. You have, since day one, built up your guys with an influx here and there. Namely, the Fabs who look to be getting into their element here. On paper the show may not match up with the star power of others in people's eyes, but your home grown stars are a force to be reckoned with.
  24. I talked with you earlier about the shows. You've got a a very strong formula building here from your start. We discussed your house shows being superb with your television needing some work, and while it may be minor, nothing wrong with making your money on the circuit building up to those televisions and your big show in a month.
  25. BIG TIME! I know your on a little break and no harm there. Nothing wrong with taking a small break to recharge the batteries due to life's circumstances... could be worked into the overall story of your promotion with Detroit running on its own. Looking forward to the comeback... even though you were never really gone.
