  1. Might as well go with Mascaras on the 6th and 7th if that works too. It is Houston and he'll find his way on the card.
  2. Paul Boesch: I want to thank everyone for joining me here today for this big announcement. I want to thank all those promotions that are participating in this huge 2-day grand prix tag team tournament event for $200,000! We are hoping to make this a weekend long event with a very special night starting on Friday April the 6th The doors will open at 3:30 with the first match starting at 5:30pm. In that time before the event, we will have a special photograph and autograph session with Houston favorites, the Junkyard Dog and Ricky the Dragon Steamboat! They will be here to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans as we head into the tournament. Now I know everyone has been waiting and I am going to release the seeding for the tournament. This was part of a discussion with the promoters involved and the various accolades of the wrestlers as a team. Without further ado, let me give you the top 8 seeds. 1st Seed – NWA World Tag Team Champions – Chavo & Mando Guerrero 2nd Seed – Big Time Tag Team Champions – Bob Orton & Dick Slater 3rd Seed – USWA National Tag Team Champions – The Sheephearders 4th Seed – NWA United States Tag Team Champions – The Moondogs 5th Seed – Mid South Tag Team Champions – The Fantastics 6th Seed – The Midnight Express 7th Seed – The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy) 8th Seed – Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch Paul Boesch: Again, these teams were seeded on various different categories and I believe that some of the pairings from the random draw we are about to have will prove to create some entertaining matches for the first two rounds. As a reminder, first round matches will have a 15-minute time limit, second round will have a 20-minute, third round will have a 30-minute, semi-finals will have a 60-minute, and in the finals, there must be a winner with no time limit. We will enforce count outs and disqualifications. Teams can advance via pinfall, submission, count out, or disqualification. If there is a double count out, double disqualification, or a time limit draw, neither team moves forward and the subsequent team in front of them will receive a bye. We have 16-matches scheduled for the first night which is why we are opening the start time at 5:30 and we will go till all matches are complete. {We have a gentleman then bring out a bingo style tumbler} Paul Boesch: Inside this tumbler, we have the names of all 16 teams who did not get seeded. I am going to randomly draw them out for their first round pairings. We will fill in the bracket behind me as we go forward and show you the final pairings upon completion. We will start from top to bottom. The matches will go as follows… Rick Rude & King Kong Bundy vs Barry & Kendall Windham Tully Blanchard & Gino Hernandez vs The Zumbie Express Ivan Putski & Don Muraco vs Tiger Chung Lee & Pro. Tanaka Sam Houston & Terry Taylor vs Lord Humungous & The Executioner Andre the Giant & Tony Atlas vs The Grapplers Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen vs Mark & Jay Youngblood Krusher Kruschev & Alexis Smirnoff vs Steve Williams & Mike Rotundo Magnum TA & Wahoo McDaniel vs Killer Khan & Abdullah the Butcher Paul Boesch: Some really fun pairings there, I am interested to see who will be moving on. I do want to reiterate that these pairings can change due to injury and other circumstances. I know Bill Watts from Mid South said that if the Fantastics lose the Mid South Tag Titles, they would lose their seed to whomever beat them, and if that team wasn’t in the tournament, they would be removed. We will see just who has what it takes to survive through this huge two-day tournament. Let’s take a look at the bracket and how these teams fall with the seedings. Rick Rude & King Kong Bundy vs Barry & Kendall Windham Winner will face (1) Mando & Chavo Guerrero Tully Blanchard & Gino Hernandez vs The Zumbie Express Winner will face (8) Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch Ivan Putski & Don Muraco vs Tiger Chung Lee & Pro. Tanaka Winner will face (4) Moondogs Sam Houston & Terry Taylor vs Lord Humungous & The Executioner Winner will face (5) The Fantastics Andre the Giant & Tony Atlas vs The Grapplers Winner will face (2) Bob Orton & Dick Slater Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen vs Mark & Jay Youngblood Winner will face (7) The Fabulous Freebirds (Hayes & Gordy) Krusher Kruschev & Alexis Smirnoff vs Steve Williams & Mike Rotundo Winner will face (3) Sheephearders Magnum TA & Wahoo McDaniel vs Killer Khan & Abdullah the Butcher Winner will face (6) Midnight Express Paul Boesch: There is the bracket folks. Continue to tune in as we will have special messages from the participants, up to date news, and the official contract signing of Ric Flair & Ricky Steamboat right here.

  7. Mid South Wrestling is coming to you on its Fox Affiliates throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Action is coming to you tonight from the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Jim Ross – Welcome everyone to Mid South Wrestling! I am Jim Ross and fans we have got a great night of action ahead of us. On the card tonight, we will reveal the 20-men who will be in the big battle royal right here next week on MSW. Plus we will see a big one on one match between Don Muraco and Scott Casey. Casey has really been on a tear as of late and with Muraco dumping Paul Jones, he has been a man on his own and fighting with a purpose! Also tonight, we will see the demonic Lord Humungous in action and it is going to be the pre-party to a celebration by Tully Blanchard and Gino Hernandez who have said they have something big planned. Plus tonight, we will have a huge six-man main event when the All-Americans and the Russians do battle. Fans this is Mid South Wrestling and it is time to head to the ring! Magnum TA & Wahoo McDaniel vs Dominic DeNucci & Omar Atlas - Mr. Wrestling II comes down with Wahoo and Magnum and joins commentary. He puts over his recent training and the big 20-man battle royal next week. He and Ross talk about how a no namer, a man who never would get a shot could walk away with the chance of a lifetime. Wrestling II is kind of heelish but nothing major as he puts over Magnum and Wahoo in a big way. We see Wahoo with a big overhand chop on Omar setting him up for a huge belly-to-belly suplex by Magnum for the 1…2…3! They work the crowd as Wrestling II joins them. Next week these guys will be in the ring together with the chance of a lifetime! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Jimmy Hart out with Rick Rude and King Kong Bundy. Hart is really putting his guys over and he says there is no way in the world we will see Magnum TA or Wahoo McDaniel survive next week. He says he will have something special in store for them just to show them where they rank in the scheme of things! Ross asks Hart if he is going to sign Scott Casey to a contract and he balks. He wants to see how he does here tonight! Ross sends it to the ring for our next big contest! Don Muraco vs Scott Casey -Hart stays on commentary with Ross as they put the match over in a big way. We see Rude and Bundy get involved. They are tripping up Muraco every chance they get as he is taken out of the mental game here. The crowd then pops when we see Ivan Putski come out to help him! The crowd is going full boar for Polish Power here as this one nears the 9-minute mark. We see both men get some offense and just as Muraco looks to finish, we see Rude jump up on the apron and distract him leading to Casey nailing him with a huge double axe handle and then rolling him up with a hand full of tights for the 1….2…3!! Rude and Bundy then charge in the ring and we’ve got a 3 on 2 beatdown but here comes Putski to help fight them off. We get the officials to come down and break it up but Casey leaves with Hart’s First Family as they work the crowd. *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with footage from Power Pro this past weekend and Tully Blanchard defeated Terry Gordy to earn the shot at Ted Dibiase in 2 weeks. He puts over the big 8-man tournament and the arrival of Lord Humungous and how he affected the tournament. He puts over the big six-man Badstreet match from Houston last week and the beating he put down on the Freebirds. We then see Humungous come down to the ring and he looks bigger and meaner than before! ThunderBolt Patterson vs Lord Humungous -This one isn’t pretty. Humungous just DESTROYS ThunderBolt in the middle of the ring. He does a neck ringer move that cripples him, as he is motionless in the ring. Humungous picks him up and then hits a spinebuster that shakes the ring! It is a 1…2…3 as the crowd is in shock! -The crowd then hears Sharp Dressed Man hit the PA and out walks Gino Hernandez and Tully Blanchard. They are dressed in tuxedos and they are passing out balloons to the fans who are letting them loose. They are booing up a storm as we see medics come out and carry off ThunderBolt Patterson. He seems to be in serious condition as Ross puts his injuries over. We see Blanchard and Gino in the ring as they grab microphones… Gino: Ladies and gentlemen… I am here to announce that this is the man who in two weeks will walk into Shreveport, Louisiana, on Mid South Wrestling and he is going to TAKE the North American title from that good for nothing paper champion… Ted Dibiase! Tully: Ladies and gentlemen… I am here to announce that this is the man who next week will talk into Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Mid South Wrestling and he is going to take down the top 19-wrestlers in Mid South and then walk into his home of Houston, Texas and put that good for nothing paper champion Mr. Wrestling II out to pasture. Gino: And let us both introduce the man, who single handedly destroyed the Freebirds… he is the man of the hour, the man with the power… the ayatollah of Rock N Rolla… he is LORD HUMUNGOUS! Tully: Right here ladies and gentlemen is the triangle of terror in the sport of professional wrestling. We’ve got the size… we’ve got the speed… and we’ve got the strength! Gino: In just a matter of weeks… we are going to have ALL THE GOLD! -Gino and Tully continue to work the fans and boy they have got some heat. The fans are really throwing it at them here as they work the crowd and leave the arena. *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Ross putting over the last segment and the triangle of terror as they call themselves. He wonders just how long Gino and Tully will keep their grasp on Humungous and the extent of his power. The fans then begin to stir as we hear the Russians make their way down to the ring. They jump in and start to sing the Russian National Anthem before we hear Hacksaw Duggan lead his men to the ring. They step inside and we are about to see the war to settle the score right here! All-Americans (Duggan, Rotundo, & Williams) vs Russians (Kruschev, Markoff, & Smirnoff) -This one gets about 15-minutes of television time remaining. These guys work the fans from the word go with the Russians really getting some great heat. Krusher Kruschev has come into his own in a big way. Rotundo is the star of this segment as he is without a doubt the best “wrestler” in the match but Duggan is the true star. He works the fans from beginning to end and when all is said and done it is Duggan who sets up the big finish. We see Rotundo and Kruschev fighting outside the ring. Williams with a huge bodyslam on Smirnoff while Duggan lines up and nails a huge leaping clothesline putting Markoff down and out for the 1….2….3!! Duggan, Williams, and Rotundo then get on the microphone and lead the Pledge of Allegiance one more time. The camera then catches the entrance way as we see Kruschev talking to someone… what in the world… THAT’S IVAN KOLOFF! FANS MORE ON THESE DEVELOPMENTS ON POWER PRO THIS WEEK!
  8. http://lowblowbookingpodcast.podbean.com/e/low-blow-booking-podcast-ep-24-tournament-edition/ Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Low Blow Booking Podcast! Join Derek Cornett, Dave Hall, and Patrick Fenton as they take on a very special tournament edition of the Low Blow Booking Podcast. The three put together 4 tournaments, only using matches that happened in real life, and using the individuals who won to move the tournament forward. Let's run down the rules... TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT - This was a 16 team tournament in which every tag team match happened in real life and the next round match had to have happened. INTERCONTINENTAL, WCW, AND WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - For these three tournaments, the matches had to have been for the title and the next round matches had to have happened and been title matches. This is without a doubt one of the most creative and innovate ideas that the Low Blow Booking Podcast has put together. Let us know what you think as you sit back and enjoy the Low Blow Booking Podcast; Tournament Edition!
  9. {Power Pro Wrestling opens showcasing the top talent in Mid South as we cut to the studio and see Vince McMahon standing by.} Vince McMahon: Welcome everyone to Power Pro Wrestling, I am Vince McMahon and it is great to be coming to you fans tonight with all the best from Mid South Wrestling. Fans we want to announce the final ruling from this past week’s MSW and the big World Tag Team Championship 2/3 falls match… -We see the big finish from the match with the Fantastics winning the 3rd fall via DQ. Vince McMahon: The official ruling was that the Fantastics won the third and deciding fall, but since it was via DQ, the titles did not change hands. We can only hope to see a rematch down the line, perhaps when both teams are in Houston for the big $200,000 tag team tournament. Tonight we will also see the finals of the North American Championship tournament with the winner going on to face Ted Dibiase in a mere number of weeks on MSW. That contest will feature Terry Gordy taking on Tully Blanchard and what a war these two men had just two nights ago in Houston, Texas. A six-man Badstreet contest where anything goes and anything went. It was Tully Blanchard’s henchman, Lord Humungous that made the biggest impact. We have the big man in action here tonight, fans this guy is an absolute monster… let’s see him in the ring. Lord Humungous defeated Tracy Smothers -Gino Hernandez is out with Humungous and he’s just an absolute BEAST! Ross and McMahon put him over as the most dangerous man in professional wrestling. He nails Smothers with a spinebuster that shakes the ring and puts him down for the 1…2…3! Gino is the perfect partner who gloats the whole time. Who can touch this guy? *COMMERCIAL* Don Muraco defeated Dominic DeNucci -Muraco is really coming into his own against a familiar foe here tonight. Ross and McMahon say he is one of the guys who will be entering that big 20-man battle royal to earn a shot at Wrestling II, but first this week he will have to face Scott Casey on MSW. They put over that contest as we see Muraco finish DeNucci with a tombstone and the 1…2..3! -Power Pro returns with Vince McMahon putting over the 20-man battle royal for the Mid South Television Championship shot. He talks about Wrestling II working out with Magnum TA and prepping for the match. He puts over the Casey vs Muraco match this week on MSW. Casey nails the Brainbuster for the 1…2…3. He looks strong and will be put to the test this week on MSW when he faces Muraco! *COMMERCIAL* Ivan Putski defeated Johnny Rodz -A nice showcase for Putki who is getting over with the crowd here. Ross and McMahon have rumblings of him and Muraco teaming up in the big $200,000 tourney in Houston. Tonight, Putski handles Rodz and finishes things with the bearhug and then the Polish Hammer for the 1…2….3! -Power Pro is back with McMahon really putting Putski over in a big way. We then cut to footage of the debut of Mike Rotundo and his teaming up with Duggan and Williams. McMahon is very high on Rotundo an Williams, saying they are one of the premiere teams in Mid South if they can put everything together. We get to see them in the ring tonight for the first time… we cut to the ring. Mike Rotundo & Steve Williams defeated The Shadows -Rotundo and Williams come out to a great pop from the crowd. They have got little American Flags and their letter coats which pop the young fans. Inside the ring, they put it all together with some great tag team work. We see fluid tags and teamwork that leads to Williams tossing White Shadow into the turnbuckle and then a big splash with Rotundo coming out of the ropes and nailing him with a flying forearm for the 1….2…3!! They work the fans as Ross and McMahon really put them through the roof. *COMMERCIAL* -We return with McMahon showing some of the highlights of the semi-finals from this past week on MSW. We see all the chaos of the two matches, the debut of Humungous, and then the final pairing of Gordy and Blanchard. He says this is the premiere match between two of the top contenders. The winner goes on to face Ted Dibiase on the 21st of March… who will it be? FINALS Terry Gordy vs Tully Blanchard -Tully looks to be in decent condition coming out here tonight but Gordy has got taped ribs. Ross and McMahon put this over in the biggest way. They talk about how both men match up with Dibiase and what a great contest that will be. This one goes about 14-minutes. Tully works the ribs and the back as Gordy is doing everything he can to stay in the fight. We get a moment in which Gino and Humungous walk out but here comes Hayes and Roberts and they fight to the back. It is going to be a one on one sprint here in the final moments. Gordy is looking to finish as he picks up Tully for a powerslam but Blanchard goes over the top and pushes Gordy into the turnbuckle and then locks him up with a school boy and a hand full of tights for the 1…2….3!! Blanchard has won it! Blanchard will face Dibiase on the 21st! Ross and McMahon put this over in the biggest way. Gordy can’t believe it as Gino is out here to celebrate with Tully. Lord Humongous will be in the building and ThunderBolt Patterson has called him out! Gino Hernandez and Tully Blanchard will have a celebration and they have a special challenge for Ted Dibiase!
  10. 3/3/1984 - Mid South Wrestling Live – Baton Rouge, Louisiana – River City Arena Scott Hall defeated Johnny Rodz Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell defeated The Shadows Mike Rotundo & Steve Williams defeated Chris Markoff & Alexis Smirnoff Magnum TA defeated Scott Casey The Executioner defeated Don Muraco Lord Humungous defeated Ivan Putski MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics © defeated King Kong Bundy & Rick Rude w/ Jimmy Hart via DQ Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Gino Hernandez MAIN EVENT Tully Blanchard defeated Wahoo McDaniel
  11. -A very interesting week out of Mid South as the doors were closed for a one on one verbal clash between Bill Watts and Vince McMahon. It appears as though both men have different ideas on the Junkyard Dog and the handling of his contract in the future. Watts wanted to bring him back sooner than later with the injuries to Ted Dibiase, but McMahon is hoping to create new fresh faces out of Magnum TA, Wahoo McDaniel, and the Fantastics. The Freebirds came in for a cup of coffee and helped matters along with the Guerreros but it appears as though there are no future bookings for either of those groups in the month of March in which the tour has been labeled the March for the Gold. The big matches they are leading to are the big television title match in which we will see the return of Mr. Wrestling II on March 16th in Houston and then the return of Ted Dibiase and the defense of the North American Championship on March the 21st in Shreveport. - There has been quite a bit of dissension over the production of Power Pro and Bill Watts was moments away from pulling the plug all together. It is McMahon and Jim Ross who have been on the side of keeping the production on Wednesday nights and taping it after MSW. Joel and Bill Watts don't like how the same fans are shown on MSW and on Power Pro. We could see a change in the coming weeks if the show even survives through the month of March. -The Fantastics vs Guerreros was a great draw for Mid South over the past month and there was a great group of time limit draw matches and then the instant classic from the Feb. 29th episode of MSW. There was even talks of a title switch for a quick swap over the month but NWA officials couldn't be persuaded by Watts. The Fantastics are still high on the NWA's top ten tag teams and a powerful showing at the big $200,000 tournament could put them in place for a title reign. -The Executioner will be returning to Mid South over the next couple of weeks on television. McMahon would like to utilize him in a different manner but Watts doesn't see that being a draw and wants to keep him as is. -Lord Humongous debuted to a huge rating on MSW this week. He is coming in with a lot of hype after his debut and his alignment with Tully Blanchard and Gino Hernandez is said to be the key to his success and foreseeable future in Mid South.
  12. Couple of fun house shows here on the loop. I like the 8-man 2/3 falls matches. I also like how I brought the Birds in as faces and you've used them as heels. It adds the territorial feel to how we're doing things.
  13. I haven't had a chance to full chime in on USWA publicly but I have to say that you have done a very good job thus far. Your talent roster is just incredible and you've done a good job putting some people in top spots to show their legitimacy. Your two shows here have got showcases from some of the top talent and you even bring in guys who add to the show. I have to make my picks and I think Reed is the man of the hour here but Tony Atlas has got the future of this company on his back. With these guys, then you've got Piper and Lawler all fighting to get the top spot from Austin Idol... it is going to be a crazy go and then you throw in Buzz Sawyer and you can guarantee all bets are off. I just hope you don't get bogged down and can continue what you've started and be one of if not the premiere organization in 1984.
  14. 3/2/1984 - Mid South Wrestling Live - Houston, Texas - Sam Houston Coliseum Scott Hall defeated Brady Boone Rick Rude & Magnum TA fought to a double DQ The Executioner defeated Ivan Putski Don Muraco defeated Scott Casey Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Mike Rotundo, & Steve Williams defeated the Russians MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics © defeated The Shadows Stan Hansen won a battle royal featuring Andre the Giant, The Executioner, Hacksaw Duggan, Don Muraco, Ivan Putski, and others. BADSTREET MATCH Gino Hernandez, Tully Blanchard, & Lord Humungous defeated The Freebirds - It was said that Humongous no-sold everything. The Birds gave him his due as Roberts took the fall but Gordy appeared to be pretty hot when the match finished. MAIN EVENT CAGE MATCH King Kong Bundy defeated Wahoo McDaniel - This was an absolute bloody brawl. The cage was hanging by its hinges at the end of the match when Hart helped a bloody Bundy leave the ring.
  15. Lol, it has the makings, but I don't see Duggan doing well in the varsity jacket from SMU. However, if they wore helmets to the ring, he'd fit right in.
  16. 3/1/1984 - Mid South Wrestling Live – Jackson, Mississippi – Mississippi Coliseum Scott Hall defeated S.D. Jones Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell defeated The Shadows Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Mike Rotundo, & Steve Williams defeated the Russians Don Muraco & Ivan Putski defeated The Executioner & Scott Casey Lord Humungous defeated Tracy Smothers Gino Hernandez & Tully Blanchard defeated Wahoo McDaniel & Magnum TA MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics © defeated Rick Rude & King Kong Bundy via DQ

  18. Mid South Wrestling is coming to you on its Fox Affiliates throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Action is coming to you tonight from the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. {MSW opens with footage of all the top Mid South stars as we cut down to the ring with Jim Ross standing by and he is joined by Cowboy Bill Watts} Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to Mid South Wrestling! I am Jim Ross and I am joined here tonight by Bill Watts. Bill, I am told you’ve got a couple of big announcements tonight… Bill Watts: That’s right Jim. Let me first say that it is great to be back here in New Orleans. I want to take a moment and talk about the big $200,000 tag team tournament. I know we’ve had some big teams announced but after speaking with Paul Boesch, Stan Hansen will be finding a new partner for the tournament, no word on who that will be. I am in negotiations with two more teams from Mid South to join the big 24 team tournament and lemme tell you, it is going to be gangbusters in Houston on those two nights. The other announcement I wanted to make was to welcome in here tonight, the current North American Heavyweight Champion, Ted Dibiase! {Ted Dibiase comes out and gets a little love from the crowd but nothing crazy. He still looks heel and holds the title as he joins Watts and Ross…} Jim Ross: Ted Dibiase, it is great to see you back here in Mid South Wrestling… Ted Dibiase: Listen to me Jim Ross, I am here for one purpose tonight, I am here to see just who is going to face me in a couple of weeks for this title. I haven’t been wrestling in Mid South for the past month; I have been trying to heal from the attack that Gino Hernandez and Tully Blanchard put on me. Well they are both in the semifinals, and I hope I meet one of them and then I get to get my hands on the other. I am here to let everyone know that I am going to be back and I am going to be better than ever and you can take that to the bank! -All three men then put over the tournament and the results from the opening round… Gino defeated Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy defeated King Kong Bundy, Wahoo McDaniel defeated Krusher Kruschev, and Tully Blanchard defeated Hacksaw Duggan. They talk about the two big matches and then the 2/3 falls World Tag Team Championship match tonight. It looks as though Dibiase is going to stick around for commentary and it is he and Jim Ross tonight as we cut to the ring for the opening contest. We see Tully Blanchard walk out here with Gino Hernandez as they stand in the ring and look at the action in the aisle as Wahoo McDaniel walks down to the ring and out of nowhere, King Kong Bundy comes and floors him! Rude jumps in and it is a 2 on 1 in the aisle! Officials and agents come out to break things up as we’ve got pure mayhem to get things going! *COMMERCIAL* Wahoo McDaniel vs Tully Blanchard -We join this match in progress as Jim Ross and Ted Dibiase put over the action in a big way. They talk about the beating Wahoo just took in the aisle-way from Bundy and Rude as Jimmy Hart laughed the entire time! Dibiase is still playing heel here but this is a very fun contest. Wahoo is slowly building his way back in for this 15-minute affair. Tully works the knees of Wahoo, who can barely stand but continues to fight with everything he’s got. The crowd begins to chant and cheer for the big Chief and he comes firing back with everything he’s got. He sends Blanchard reeling around the ring and hits a huge overhand chop that puts Tully down! Gino pulls him out of the ring and appears to be checking on him. Wahoo steps out and pushes Hernandez away. We see Gino almost nail him but Magnum TA runs out and we’ve got some chaos here. Magnum backs off Gino as Wahoo throws Tully back into the ring and he appears to be busted from that overhand chop. They battle in the middle of the ring for a couple more minutes before Wahoo looks to finish. He nails Tully with a huge back body drop that has him up in the lights. We see Gino slip Tully something before he tries to distract the referee. Magnum comes over and hauls him off the apron and then cracks him with a huge right hand! Inside the referee has his back turned and Tully with a big right hand, right between the eyes and Wahoo goes crashing down and Tully covers for the 1…2….3! Tully has whatever was in his hand hidden and my oh my, what a mess. He is busted up pretty good here as Gino pulls him out of the ring. Could we see a Dynamic Duo final? That will be the question to answer in just a little bit! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Jim Ross and Ted Dibiase putting over Tully’s trip to the finals and how he will be wrestling the winner of the next semifinal contest this weekend on Power Pro wrestling. They turn their attention to this Friday night in Houston in which we will see a six-man Bad Street match with the Freebirds taking on Gino, Tully, and a mystery partner. They put over the big main event with King Kong Bundy taking on Wahoo McDaniel in a cage match and a huge $10,000 battle royal. It is going to be a huge night in Houston. We then hear the Russians come out and Krusher Kruschev is in the ring with Alexis Smirnoff and Chris Markoff… Krusher: Now you people need to shut up and show us some respect! We are the ones who are braven enough to show our true colors right here in front of the world. We value what the Kremlin has done and what the goals are in athletics and professional wrestling. Since day one, I have shown the world that I will do whatever it takes to put down pieces of trash like Hacksaw Jim Duggan. He is nothing but a flag waving idiot who knows nothing about patriotism, nothing about wrestling, and nothing about being a MAN! What the Kremlin has put together, {The crowd then pops as Hacksaw Duggan is shown walking out with the American flag!} Hacksaw: Listen here tough guy! You wanna sit there and call me out… let me tell you something there pal… I was born right here in the USA and I am damn proud of it! I have got all these people here backing me up every time I get in that ring. I have no problem coming in there and showing you why I am a real man… but I ain’t no idiot. I am not fighting three guys tonight, but I got two buddies who wanna help me! They are some All-American men… Dr. Death Steve Williams and Captain Mike Rotundo! {The crowd gives a nice little jolt when we see Williams come out in his Oklahoma coat and Rotundo in his Syracuse coat. They walk out and rip off their coats and jump into the ring and we’ve got a six-man brawl! The crowd is going wild as Duggan, Rotundo, and Williams send the Russians flying out of the ring. The fans are chanting USA as Duggan grabs the microphone and screams the pledge of allegiance and the crowd goes right along as the Russians work the fans and back off. Ross and Dibiase put it over as we’ve got more semi-final action when we come back!} *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Dibiase and Ross putting over Hacksaw Duggan and his buddies Rotundo and William who are definitely here with something to prove. They turn their attention to the next semi-final contest and put both men over. Dibiase says he’d love to see a Dynamic Duo final but knows that Gordy is one of the toughest men in the world to beat. We cut to the ring for this next big contest… Terry Gordy vs Gino Hernandez -Michael Hayes, Buddy Roberts, and Tully Blanchard come out here with their respective men but are sent back pretty quickly by PeeWee Anderson. This one goes 14-minutes and both of these boys brought their working boots. The ability of Gordy to bounce all over the place just puts this through the roof. He makes Gino look like a million dollars while Hernandez does the same. Both men come away from this with the fans wanting just a little bit more. These guys look to be trying to finish and Hernandez with a huge suplex that shakes the ring. He then nails a falling knee drop right to the skull and Gordy is hurting but the big man fights back. Some huge strikes, rights and lefts and then a big POWERSLAM! Here comes Blanchard as he tries to get in the ring but Hayes and Roberts come and pull him down! We have got a pier six brawl! Wait a minute… WHAT IS THAT?!?! {This monster of a man shows up in the aisle way as Ross and Dibiase are going nuts putting it over. Ross has lost it while Dibiase says that it is Lord Humungous! He steps over the ropes and looks down at Gordy who throws a big right and then another one but this masked man headbutts him once, twice, and then a third time and Gordy is busted wide open. Nick Patrick calls for the bell. This big guy picks up Gordy and then hits a nasty spinebuster! Officials run out but Humungous scares them back. The long and short of it is that Gordy has won and he’ll face Tully this week on Power Pro… but right now, this monster has complete control of the ring. We have got chaos in the arena right now…} *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Jim Ross and Ted Dibiase putting Lord Humungous over in the biggest way. They put over the big night in Houston this week with Wahoo McDaniel vs King Kong Bundy in the cage and a 6-man Badstreet Match with the Freebirds taking on Gino, Tully, and a mystery partner that may end up being Lord Humungous. We then see Grizzly Smith come out. He speaks with Dibiase and says we will have the one on one match on the 21st of March. He says that on the 16th, there will be a big television championship match, but in two weeks right here, we will see a 20-man battle royal to determine the winner. He also announces that if the Fantastics win the World Tag Team titles tonight, they will need to relinquish the Mid South titles immediately… this sends us to the ring for the main event… NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 2/3 FALLS The Fantastics vs The Guerreros © -Boyd Pierce sets the stage for this huge encounter. Ross and Dibiase put all four of these guys through the roof in the biggest way. We are getting Mando and Chavo for the Guerreros and Hector is nowhere to be found at this point. We get a great, fast paced contest here with around 20-minutes of television time remaining. This one is a sprint from the start to the finish with the first fall coming at a mis-communication between the Guerreros leading to Fulton and Rogers hitting a double dropkick on Mando for the 1…2….3!! They go up 1-0 and the Guerreros can feel the pressure. They work their way back and get in control but there is something with Rogers and Fulton here tonight. They have got the crowd rocking and rolling with them. We see a big spot in which Fulton hits a high cross body on Chavo and they go over the top to the floor. Nick Patrick isn’t sure what to call it as we go to commercial. When MSW returns, Ross and Dibiase put this match over in the biggest way. They say that Nick Patrick didn’t make a call on the cross body and the match is still going on. This is when we see Chavo get Rogers riled up while Mando hits a LOW BLOW on Fulton and then a double DDT while the referee is locked up with Rogers. We get the 1…2….3 and it is all tied up now 1-1 and we have limited television time remaining. The match builds to the moment in which Fulton makes the huge tag to Rogers and he comes in like a damned house of fire. He is hitting everything that moves and this is where we see Hector Guerrero come out of the wood work! The contest is going at a blistering pace here as Mando and Chavo are trying to double up on Rogers but Fulton comes off the top rope with a huge double cross body! The crowd is going nuts in New Orleans as Ross and Dibiase are losing their voices. We see Fulton run at Chavo who back drops him over the top rope to the floor! Chavo turns and here comes Rogers with a dropkick to the gut and Chavo goes out of the ring. Mando runs for a clothesline but Rogers ducks and then comes back with a big crescent kick and Mando is down! Mando is down! Rogers is looking to cover but damnit… HECTOR GUERRERO NAILS HIM WITH THE TITLE BELT! The crowd is booing up a storm! This is pure chaos! We have fans trying to get in the ring here as Boyd Pierce announces that the winners are Fulton and Rogers! Ross is wondering if they will get the titles as Dibiase says the titles can’t change hands on a DQ! We have got a lot of chaos and time has run out. Ross says they will have an update this Sunday on Power Pro along with the big finals between Tully Blanchard and Terry Gordy!
  19. As an update, Pwsony has not logged on since Feb 1st, and hasn't posted a show since January 23rd. We agreed to a 60 day no communication and 90 day no show shutdown for promotions. We will cross the bridge when we come to it but that's where he stands right now. Hopefully he can get on and give us an update so we know where he stands.

Other top teams like the Freebirds, the Midnight Express, and the Youngbloods have been signed. Champions lie the Grapplers, Dick Slater & Bob Orton, The Sheepherders, The Zumbie Express, and the NWA World Tag Team Champions the Guerreros. We will have more teams announced in the coming weeks. Right now we have got action from one of the Guerreros… let’s go to the ring. Hector Guerrero defeated Omar Atlas -Ross and McMahon put over the Guerreros and their teamwork. They talk about the world tag team titles and the issue they’ve had with the Fantastics and then Jose Lothario and Mil Mascaras. Guerrero hits three big suplexes on Atlas and then picks him up for a double underhook suplex for the 1…2….3! He works the crowd as the Guerreros aren’t too high on their list… *COMMERCIAL* Gino Hernandez defeated Brady Boone -Ross and McMahon really put over Gino Hernandez and say he’s a top challenger for the North American Championship and the Television championship and then they put over how good of a team he and Tully Blanchard are. They put over a big Bad Street 6-Man Tag coming up this next week in Houston in which Gino and Tully say they’ve got a big surprise for the Freebirds. Gino locks in the Figure Four tonight for the submission as he works the crowd. -McMahon continues to put over Hernandez and he talks about the big NA Title Tournament. He says Hernandez was victorious the other night in San Antonio against Michael Hayes. He says that he will need to face Terry Gordy this week on MSW but puts over the Badstreet Match in Houston next Friday. McMahon wonders just who will join Hernandez and Blanchard against the Freebirds. He turns his attention to the tag team championship and puts over the Freebirds as we cut to the ring for action. Buddy Roberts & Terry Gordy w/ Michael Hayes defeated The Shadows -A pretty good showcase for Gordy and Roberts. Ross and McMahon put Gordy over big time and say he has a chance to earn a chance at the North American title this week when he faces Hernandez on MSW! Roberts looks good this week and he sets up the red show for a big powerslam by Terry Gordy for the 1…2…3!! Hayes and the Freebirds work the crowd as they’ve got some big things coming up this week! *COMMERCIAL* King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Dominic DeNucci -Bundy looks pretty bad ass this week and he makes pretty quick work of DeNucci. He gets the 5 count in about 2 minutes and then we cut to a pre-taped interview with him and Jimmy Hart…. Jimmy Hart: If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times, King Kong Bundy is the real deal daddy. This man is the biggest and the baddest. He has put everyone, even that good for nothing Wahoo McDaniel down for the 5-count! Now this past Friday night… Terry Gordy was the luckiest man in wrestling baby. He got a cheap quick three count on my man who only rules with the five-count. You let Gordy know that if he gets in Bundy’s way again, he is going to go down… the hard way! Wahoo McDaniel, don’t think we’ve forgot about you. I spoke with Rick Rude and together, the First Family has put the word out… it is going to be the END OF WAHOO MCDANIEL IN 1984! HAHAHA! -McMahon is back in the studio and he puts over Jimmy Hart and his First Family. He wonders just who he will add to the Family over the next couple of weeks. He puts over how Bundy was beaten by Gordy, very controversially this last Friday night in San Antonio. McMahon then turns his attention to Scott Casey who says he is the rightful television champion. McMahon says we will learn more about who will challenge Mr. Wrestling II for that title in the coming weeks as that match is schedule for the 16th of March. He says that Don Muraco has put out a challenge to him and they will have to settle their feud before too long. He sends it to the ring where Muraco is in action… Don Muraco defeated Johnny Rodz -Muraco looks very good tonight. He is trimming down a little bit but still has the ROCK figure. Ross and McMahon put over how Muraco and Casey will do battle on the March 7th edition of MSW. Muraco finishes things with a tombstone piledriver for the 1…2…3! Muraco is getting a little more pop from the crowd as they have warmed up to him. *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro returns with McMahon really putting over this week’s MSW and the semi-final matches. He then talks about Hacksaw Duggan and how he’s putting together his All-American team! Krusher Kruschev, Alexis Smirnoff, & Chris Markoff vs SD Jones, Brian Blair, & Jim Brunzell -Ross and McMahon really put over the Russians. They talk them up in the biggest way and wonder how they will fare against Duggan and his All-American team. Kruschev looks great here tonight and hits a big Russian Sickle on SD Jones for the 1….2….3! The Russians wave the Flag around… McMahon and Ross wonder just how long that flag will wave so freely as we see a preview for MSW this week! THIS WEEK ON MSW FROM NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA! Ted Dibiase will be in the building… Hacksaw Duggan says he is going to call out Krusher Kruschev and he has got his All-American Team with him! NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT Terry Gordy vs Gino Hernandez Wahoo McDaniel vs Tully Blanchard WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics vs The Guerreros ©
  21. Just a tremendous main event there. I know I sent you Dibiase and Masked Superstar but they came in with such a bang. An awesome main event to really show the potential of the AWA. I know you're behind but you've got all it takes to jump right back in and you've got all the pieces to do it. Great stuff.
  22. I will be honest, the Zumbie Express losing the titles hurt me as they were pegged as a favorite in the $200,000 tourney... but I can see why and it makes sense and is meaningful. I would love to see if Garea and Gilbert answer the call to Heenan who sets the biggest bet of them all with everything on the line. Will it pay off?
  23. Tremendous catch up work here. I have no problems with the cliffnoted version of the house shows as it makes sense to what you are trying to convey. Also nice to see a little gem like Savage vs Poffo show up as well. I don't know if I ever had any reason to believe in Lanny Poffo, I have never seen him outside of the genius so I don't have the best case to make. Outside of that, some good stuff in MACW and that's a loaded 12-man tag that goes blow for blow with the AWAs.
  24. Can I have Stan Hansen and Andre the Giant on 3/2??
