Buck Zhumoff could be added to the scum bag list. Personally, Benoit was and is still one of my favorite wrestlers and I love Woman so if I get a chance at both of them, I'd be careful but I don't see the wrong with them in our world's timeframe. In regards to david, I told you how I felt, it would be interesting booking to say the least.

I don't think we have too much competitiveness in free agency. It can be a come and go thing to move around what you'd like as much or as little. You just have to stay within the cap.

Mid South Wrestling on Tour Feb. 1984
LowBlowPodcast replied to LowBlowPodcast's topic in Promotions
Power Pro Wrestling Sunday February 5th {Power Pro Wrestling opens showcasing the top talent in Mid South as we cut to the studio and see Vince McMahon standing by.} Vince: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Power Pro Wrestling! I am Vince McMahon and fans what a night it was last night in the Superdome in New Orleans. We saw somewhere near 20,000 fans pack the Superdome to see what many proclaimed to be the greatest professional wrestling event of all times. We have video footage of the contests and we will be able to show you here this evening. Last night there were matches held that could have been Main Events anywhere in the country and they blew the roof off the Superdome. One of those contests was a tag team match between Bruiser Brody & Magnum TA taking on Tully Blanchard & Gino Hernandez. When Bruiser Brody didn’t show up, fans you will never guess who stepped in to take his place. *ALL MATCHES ARE CLIPPED VERSIONS… POOR QUALITY OF COURSE* Bill Watts & Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard & Gino Hernandez -Bill Watts is putting his money where his mouth is here tonight. Gino and Tully are almost laughing until Watts just CRACKS Blanchard right in the mouth as Magnum and Gino are going tooth and nail on the other side. This one is only 11-minutes. We don’t expect a lot from Watts but when he comes in for the hot tag, he is spectacular. The crowd loves seeing him in the ring and he brings the real pain here and Blanchard and Gino sell for him just enough to show he’s still go it. The unsung hero of this contest is Magnum TA who does his best to carry the match but the double teaming is more than he can handle. In the end we see Hernandez and Blanchard just beat Magnum into the ground until he makes the big tag to Watts who pounds away at both men. The big moment happens when Gino Hernandez pulls something out of his tights and he just NAILS Watts and busts him wide open! He is bleeding like a stuck pig in the middle of the ring. We see a SPIKE PILEDRIVER for the 1…2…3 on Watts! Gino and Tully aren’t done yet as they go to work and continue to beat the bloody piss out of him. Magnum comes in to help but Gino and Tully hammer down on him with some nasty kicks and stomps. They walk out to a chorus of boos as the crowd is throwing debris at them. They go up the aisle as officials come down and help Watts to the back as he is busted open and in a bad way. McMahon puts over the tag team contest and the team of Magnum and Bill Watts. He really puts over Gino and Tully and says they may be the most destructive team in all of professional wrestling. He finishes by putting over the injury to Bill Watts and wonders how Watts will respond this week on Mid South Wrestling. *COMMERCIAL* ThunderBolt Patterson & S.D. Jones vs Masked Superstar & Don Muraco w/ Paul Jones -We keep up the momentum with this tag team contest. This one goes around 9-minutes and is a story of ThunderBolt and SD working well together and becoming an established team. On the other side of the ring, Masked Superstar and Don Muraco are just not seeing eye to eye. Paul Jones is trying to get things going for his men but absolutely nothing is working. Superstar has enough and he backs away from a tag as ThunderBolt nails Muraco with a spinebuster for the 1…2…3! The crowd pops but then we see Masked Superstar and Jones just go to work on Muraco. They are hammering him down something awful. The crowd is irate here as SD and ThunderBolt make the save. Muraco acts confused but he appears to see what went down. He shakes hands with Patterson and Jones… what could be glooming here for the Magnificent one? McMahon puts over the big tag team contest and wonders what will be next for Patterson and S.D. Jones. He talks about how Masked Superstar and Jones turned their backs on Muraco. We get an inset promo from Muraco who says he is challenging Masked Superstar on MSW this week and he is willing to put everything on the line to get his hands on Paul Jones! *COMMERCIAL* MID SOUTH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Wrestling II © vs Scott Casey -Our first title match of the evening has got a lot of meat and potatoes with it. Wrestling II and Casey have been at one another for the better part of 4-months now. We see some fists of fire as Casey is hell bent on trying to rip the mask off but Wrestling II continues to fight back with the passion of 1,000 fires! He is hammering away and Casey just has nothing left to give. We see a nasty spot when Wrestling II goes for the flying knee but Casey moves and Wrestling II destroys the ring turnbuckle. Casey looks to go to work and just destroy the knee to the point that Wrestling II can barely stand. The crowd is chanting and cheering for him as Wrestling II tries to get back up but simply cant. Casey says is going to finish him off and he goes for the Figure Four Leg Lock but Wrestling II rolls him up and gets the 1…2….3! The crowd explodes! Wrestling II gets out but his knee is a mess. He holds up the title but he’s being walked to the back. Scott Casey is fired up inside the ring. This one is far from over in his eyes but so could Mr. Wrestling II’s career. McMahon talks at length about the television championship and how it is up in the air if Wrestling II will be able to defend the title. He says that Wrestling II will be in Fort Wroth this week for MSW to talk about the TV title and its future. McMahon then turns the tide and puts over how the NWA World Tag Team Champions, the Guerreros will be in Fort Worth this week and word has it they will have something to say to the Fantastics regarding their tag team title victory! *COMMERCIAL* Wahoo McDaniel vs King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart -After the quick action of the previous match, we slow things down a bit here with our next contest that is a great showcase of two big, bad dudes in Mid South. Bundy has got the ace in the hole with Jimmy Hart who looks amazing out there and he is really working up the crowd. Wahoo gets beaten down early and then builds his way back up the only way he can. We see some big chops as both men are covered in sweat as we near the finish. We see Wahoo nails some big chops and then he is looking to finish but Jimmy Hart grabs his leg in the corner and Wahoo picks him up but here comes Bundy with the AVALANCHE! Jimmy Hart holds him and here comes Bundy with another AVALANCHE! Wahoo crumbles to the ground as Bundy covers him for the 1…..2….3! Bundy screams at the referee to count again and we see the 1….2….3….4….KICK OUT! Bundy pulls up Wahoo but he comes back with some huge chops and Bundy rolls out of the ring. He and Hart walk up the aisle, as there is a lot of confusion around ringside. Wahoo wants more as Bundy and Hart leave the ringside area. McMahon puts over the controversial 5-count victory or non-victory. We get a inset promo from Jimmy Hart putting over how Bundy pinned Wahoo for the 3 count and that’s what gets it done at the pay window but he wanted the 5 count to put him down for good! We return to McMahon who says that the victory will not stand and a return bout will be signed in the near future. He then puts over the Forth Worth MSW this week one more time and says that there were rumors of The Fabulous Freebirds- Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, and Buddy Roberts returning to Mid South. McMahon wonders if they will be here to gloat about the JYD situation or if they have other plans on their minds, namely the Guerreros and the World Tag Team Titles. *COMMERCIAL* LOSER LEAVES MID SOUTH NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP The Junkyard Dog vs Ted Dibiase © -Boyd Pierce does a masterful job introducing this match and says that both men agreed in the back that this would be no count outs and no disqualifications and there MUST BE A WINNER! Dog and Dibiase come out and you can just feel the tension in the arena. For 22-minutes, these two men beat the living shit out of each other. From pillar to post, JYD and Dibiase go all over the ringside area of the Superdome. JYD gets busted open from his own Dog Chain that Dibiase used and Dibiase gets busted open from the ring post. The crowd oohs and aahs with ever movement. Both men are covered in blood before all is said and done and we see a great spot in which the JYD grabs Dibiase for a Boston Crab and Dibiase’s head stains the mat red. Dog can’t quite hold on as he breaks the hold but the damage has been done to Dibiase’s skull and his back. JYD looks to finish and nails a THUMP! He covers for the 1….2……FOOT ON THE ROPE! PeeWee Anderson was so damn close! JYD pulls him up but Dibiase has got something left in the tank with a huge low blow and then a STIFF right hand that cracks JYD right in the eye. JYD then comes back with a huge right hand and Dibiase and he flies out of the ring. JYD slowly goes out and picks up Dibiase and he nails a THUMP OUTSIDE THE RING ON THE CONCRETE AS THE CROWD SHRIEKS! JYD then picks up Dibiase again and hoists him over his back before Dibiase slides off and pushes him into the ring post and JYD cracks his skull! Dibiase is slow… he picks up JYD and puts him in the ring in what seems like it takes forever. He covers JYD for the 1….2…..KICK OUT! JYD KICKS OUT! It must have taken too long! JYD, covered in blood is slow to get up. Dibiase, covered in blood gets to his feet. He pulls JYD up and hits a couple of right hands but his hands have nothing left in them. JYD however with a huge headbutt in the belly, leaves a blood stain on Dibiase’s stomach picks him up for a THUMP but Dibiase slips off his back and then rolls him up for the 1…2….3!!! DIBIASE HAS WON IT! JYD MUST LEAVE MID SOUTH FOR ONE YEAR! Dibiase is a bloody mess as he is hoisted up by PeeWee Anderson and raises his arm and the title but then collapses in the ring. JYD is in a bad way. Much like Rocky, the medics help both of these men out. Dibiase is on a stretcher and JYD on his own two feet before a standing ovation. What does this mean for the future of Mid South?!? McMahon really pumps up the big issue with Dibiase and the Junkyard Dog. He says he spoke to the JYD after the show and he was in tears for letting down all his fans. He says that there were signs and protests to try and get the JYD back in Mid South but word has it that Dibiase had no comment. Speaking of Dibiase, he spent the night in the hospital with back issues and getting stiches in his head from the hard fought match. McMahon finally puts over the Fort Worth show again, he says that Dibiase will be there live, as will the Freebirds and World Tag Team Champions the Guerreros. He puts over how Wrestling II will be there live and the big main event contest with Don Muraco taking on the Masked Superstar. We will see you in Fort Worth this week! -
Notes from The Battle of New Orleans The biggest story coming out of the Battle of New Orleans was Bruiser Brody. He was a legit no show at the event. He worked with Mid South on Friday night in Houston against Stan Hansen in a no contest Texas Death Match. The story is unfolding that Brody was told the finish of the match in the Superdome before his match with Hansen and then subsequently phoned in his effort. Hansen, who has a good relationship with Watts, did business but Brody was non-committal. It is said that Vince McMahon brokered the deal for Brody to come into the Superdome and booked the program with Magnum and Brody taking on Gino and Tully. McMahon is said to be very high on Gino and thought the best way for him to get over again would be to pin Brody. Magnum offered himself as the sacrificial lamb, but McMahon said with his return to Mid South, they want to keep him strong for house shows and the loss on Brody would mean more. There were rumors that Brody and Magnum would go against the grain against Tully and Gino leading up to the event Saturday night, but instead, Brody no showed and Mid South was left without the top star. The call for Watts to come in was very last minute, however this is one way in which Watts may cycle off television and be more in an administrative role. Mid South has been looking around the area for possible color commentators to go along with Jim Ross and have even reached out to Gorilla Monsoon but Watts balked the idea right from the get go. He said he had respect for Monsoon but he doesn't belong in Mid South. Vince McMahon is still looking to possible get him in as a road agent. Danny Hodge is a name that has been floating around to come in as a road agent and possible color guy or even Grizzly Smith who has done some booking for Watts in the past to come in and help with the new workload. Outside of the Bruiser Brody debacle, the Battle of New Orleans was a major success. With around 21,000 people in attendance, the early figures shows close to if not over a $100,000 gate. Watts had his crew taping the event and he may be trying to sell it to Closed Circuit providers. The Junkyard Dog is legitimately gone from Mid South at this point. Watts made and call and gave him the time off, no telling if it will be for the full year or sooner. It would be hard to see Mid South without JYD come Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ted Dibiase was severely banged up following his match with the JYD. He's said to have gotten at least 10 stitches in his head and possible a ruptured disk in his back. This isn't good for Mid South as Television Champion Mr. Wrestling II may need to have his knee scoped following his contest with Scott Casey. Maniac Matt Borne was in Mid South and may be gone already. He said to have had some heat with McMahon or Watts over his return and them not making it a big deal. He could be looking for work already for the right promoter. Adrian Street has not made his debut on television yet and Mid South is looking for the right moment for him or the right price as other promotions have shown interest in Street but will Miss Linda be too much to bring along if he goes?

2/4/1984 - Mid South Wrestling Live - New Orleans, Louisiana -The Superdome Dr. Death Steve Williams vs Krusher Kruschev -USA vs Russian to kick things off here tonight in the Superdome. The crowd is wild as we see Williams and Kruschev come out to the ring to continue their issues with one another. This is a fun little brawl to get things going. These guys go about 8-minutes before Williams is able to counter a big Russian Sickle clothesline into a backslide for the 1…2….3! Williams works the fans as Kruschev is irate inside the ring. He threatens PeeWee Anderson before leaving in a profanity laced fasion. ThunderBolt Patterson & S.D. MID SOUTH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Superstar Billy Graham vs Rick Rude w/ Jimmy Hart -This is one of those master vs protégé contests with Rude just oozing confidence or perhaps arrogance. Graham doesn’t look the greatest he ever did but decent enough for the contest. The problem is, he struggles to work the strong style that Rude is enforcing. This one only goes about five minutes as Graham goes big but Rude goes smart. We see Rude utilize the ring post and do his best to destroy the shoulder of the Superstar before taking it to his neck and then hitting the Rude Awakening. He says it isn’t over though and he picks him up again for another Rude Awakening! The crowd gasps for the 1…2…3 as Rude and Jimmy Hart celebrate. Graham is helped to the back holding his throat… this doesn’t look good for him. MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics © vs The North South Connection -This is one that everyone has been waiting for. These guys how off some great tag team action as the 60-minute time limit is enforced. These four men put everything together and go 22-minutes. We see Adonis & Murdoch just tear down Bobby Fulton and they are wearing him within an inch of his life. Fulton is able to get the big tag to Rogers who comes in but falls under the same fate. Adonis and Murdoch just outmatch these guys here tonight but the crowd begins to stir. The crowd begins to boil. The fans are just going wild for Fulton and Rogers and they turn it up a notch. We see Fulton come in with some big chops on Adonis who is selling big time for him. Rogers comes with a huge cross body on Murdoch and the Fantastics are rocking and rolling right now. We see some nice double teaming… even a wheel barrow that gets the crowd going. Adonis and Murdoch cut them off one more time but it builds to the big moment when we see Murdoch hold up Rogers for a Brainbuster but here comes Fulton with a huge dropkick right to the face of Murdoch and Rogers falls on top of him! Fulton attacks Adonis as Rogers gets the cover for the 1….2…3!! The Fantastics retain the tag team championship! They get out of the ring with their lives and the tag team titles for all intensive purposes. The crowd is hot for this one. {Before the contest, we see Gino Hernandez & Tully Blanchard come out to the ring. They are joking with the fans saying that Brody isn’t going to show up. We then see Magnum TA come out by himself. He begins to cut a promo on Hernandez and Blanchard before Bill Watts jumps into the ring and shoots on Brody. He says that he couldn’t handle the fight tonight and won’t be back in Mid South if Bill Watts has anything to say about it. He says he isn’t going to let Magnum go it alone… he then takes off his shirt and the crowd EXPLODES! Bill Watts & Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard & Gino Hernandez -Bill Watts is putting his money where his mouth is here tonight. Wahoo McDaniel vs King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart -After the quick action of the previous match, we slow things down a bit here with our next contest that is a great showcase of two big, bad dudes in Mid South. Bundy has got the ace in the hole with Jimmy Hart who looks amazing out there and he is really working up the crowd. Wahoo gets beaten down early and then builds his way back up the only way he can. NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Hacksaw Duggan vs Ric Flair © -Big entrances from both men here tonight. Ric Flair looks to be in the best shape of his life and the same could be said about Duggan. This one is an interesting brawl, wrestling, brawl combo. These guys only go about 25-minutes and even then, Duggan looks to have spent everything he has in the middle of the ring. Flair looks to have worked everything he could have over the course of the contest. Flair is masterful at working over the knee and does everything to destroy Duggan’s left leg but the big man fights back and we see him with some humungous right hands and Flair is bumping all over the place. Duggan is hobbling around and he is looking to finish as Flair is selling everything and even a huge shoulder-block that sends him out of the ring to the floor! Duggan is in a bad way as he goes outside and goes for a couple of big rights but Flair ducks and hammers away with some chops. The referee is counting as Flair ducks a fist and then comes with a huge chop block and Duggan goes down. Flair gets back in the ring as Duggan is pulling his way up. Flair holds the referee as out of nowhere Krusher Kruschev comes and DESTROYS DUGGAN WITH THE RUSSIAN CHAIN! Kruschev disappears into darkness as the referee gets to 10! Flair retains the title and holds it up in the air. Duggan begins to stir and he chases Flair to the back, hobbling all the way! Andre the Giant vs The Executioner -After the chaos of the previous match, things slow down but go quickly in this one. We only see these guys for around 6-minutes and it is big man vs big man. Executioner is able to get in some strength moves and heat on Andre who inevitably fights back. He hammers some big time rights and lefts and even a big boot. Andre even goes for the nice butt drop and crushes Executioner’s chest. Executioner is struggling as Andre waits for him as he gets up and Andre grabs him for a huge body slam! The crowd pops! Andre with a huge elbow drop and then the cover for the 1…2….3!! Andre has won it as the executioner is in a bad way. Andre works the fans who always enjoy seeing him. MAIN EVENT LOSER LEAVES MID SOUTH NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP The Junkyard Dog vs Ted Dibiase © -Boyd Pierce does a masterful job introducing this match and says that both men agreed in the back that this would be no count outs and no disqualifications and there MUST BE A WINNER! What does this mean for the future of Mid South?!? -
All Set.

I am good with the idea of celebrities being free to use. We can just announce it on the free agent thread or something like... Mid South has agreed to a 3 appearance deal with Muhammad Ali. The dates of the appearance are as follows... That way others can use him if needed or work around it. With Thesz, Bruno, and others, if it is just a territory specific thing, that works. I just thought it would add extra flavor with them coming in as special referees or even a judge for NWA title matches or something along those lines. I would argue that Danny Hodge and Grizzly Smith would be guys that I'd like to bring in to do some of those same things. To go along with Fenton, I'd definitely use the sheets to build it up.

There were four corners tags going on around this time in real life, thought they'd be good gimmicks to add on. -
Well Jose Lothario I know is on his last legs as a full time in ring performer. He had roughly 16 matches recorded through cagematch, so he will remain "active" throughout that year and then be able to transition into a different role for me. I think everyone is going to use retire differently. If I had Ladd, I would use him up through his last active month and then transition him into another role in the company since he can be used in multiple different ways. It's like if I brought in Lou Thesz... he couldn't work full time at this point, but he could definitely be a guest referee and MAYBE do a tag match, but it would be highly unlikely. Pat Patterson would also be under the same guard in my opinion. He is on his last moments as a full time in ring performer throughout this year but come 1985, he wasn't active full time but sparingly.

The reign of the Macho Man begins. I loved the title swap and while you could see it happening, pulling the trigger is always great. The Richmond card is coming together. I think you've got some great pieces here and are fitting them in good spots. I personally love the Windhams vs Freebirds program right now. Looking forward to Kamala becoming the man beast we all know and love out of all of this as well. -
The questioning about Bruno is due to possibly him and some others like we talked about with Fritz and even Lou thesz, these polarizing figures in the history of professional wrestling. Is there a way that we could possibly use them for a one or two shot deal as possibly guest referees or something along those lines. I don't personally have any reason to use Bruno Sammartino, but I figured he is the biggest name in the world of Wrestling that is not in our database and wanted to question as to why that occurred in the first place. I was not here when the initial list came in Kris is not here to justify it so I just wanted to ask the question. I would like to ask the same question in regards to celebrities, I would love to use Muhammad Ali as a special guest referee for a superdome show. I don't know how that is accessible right now with the way that we currently run things. Would it be fair to do something where we could book bigger name talent for one or two or three shows in order to build up and use their name value to add value to the presentation of our product. That's all I'm trying to figure out. I already have the rest in peace list going on the Gamestation page if there needs to be a retired list I suggest that we put that together and then start doing some research on who is active and who is not active at this point in our world of wrestling.
-
I think he along the lines of Jeff Sword and even Bruno Sammartino. It would be like... I think that this guy is in the world of wrestling right now, how can he become available?

Mid South Wrestling is coming to you on its Fox Affiliates throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Action is coming to you tonight from the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to Mid South Wrestling! I am Jim Ross alongside Cowboy Bill Watts and fans we have got a great night of action for you this evening. We are just days away from the Battle for New Orleans inside the Superdome and Bill, I think everyone is ready to see just what happens between Ted Dibiase and the Junkyard Dog. Bill Watts: This is truly the war to settle the score. The man who loses this match loses his contract to his opponent. These two men hate one another something awful, and I wouldn’t be surprised to not see either of them around for a year after all is said and done. Jim Ross: Tonight we have got a big main event with the Junkyard Dog and Andre the Giant taking on King Kong Bundy and the Executioner. Bill Watts: Four of the biggest men and biggest names in wrestling, it doesn’t get any better. Jim Ross: The tag team champions will also be in action tonight but I think everyone is going to be… wait just a moment… fans let’s welcome him in right now… The World Heavyweight Champion, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Jim Ross: Ric, you are days away from defending that World Heavyweight Championship against Hacksaw Jim Duggan… any thoughts about this contest? Ric Flair: The more things change Jim Ross, you notice the more they stay the same way. You are looking at the best dressed man in all of professional wrestling. You are looking at the best in ring performer that has ever laced up a pair of boots. Now by hook or by crook, I should only be defending this title in wrestling matches. I have done so all around the world… but Jim Duggan… he isn’t a wrestler… he is a fighter! A bar room brawler! He is nothing but a two cent thug who got the chance of a life time, and Ric Flair is going to put him back in his place before it is all said and done! (Crowd is booing up a storm here and chanting for Hacksaw) Ric Flair: You cant chant and cheer all you want folks but the fact of the matter is this… Duggan… you look around pal… when you see me, you see class, you see ability, and you see the world champion. When I see you… I see a slob, I see trash, and I see a man living on a hope and a prayer and lemme tell you something jack, you are about to have a rude awakening… I am going to show you what it means to be in there with the sixty-minute man! {The crowd pops when Duggan walks out! He is joined by Dr. Death Steve Williams!} Jim Ross: Hacksaw Duggan… Ric Flair hasn’t had a kind word to speak of you out here… Hacksaw Duggan: Yeah I figured he wouldn’t. I figured he was like that. You’ve got all your fancy do dads here Ric… but when it comes to the boots and the tights in the middle of that ring, you are going to find out why I deserve that title… TOUGH GUY! Now I wanted to take a minute and let everyone know… this right here… this is Dr. Death Steve Williams! He is an All-American from Oklahoma and like me… he knows that America is what it is all about. Now Flair… I know you have hired out those Russians… but we took care of Boris Zhukov and tonight… The Doctor is going to make a house call and put an end to Kruschev as well! Ric Flair: That’s the thing about it Duggan… just when you think you know the game, I change the rules pal… this Saturday night in the Superdome… it is going to be hell or highwater before you touch this title. Hacksaw: Well you keep up your talking and I may just take it right here… right now… TOUGH GUY! {Bill Watts separates the two men as we cut to the ring for our first contest! Steve Williams w/ Hacksaw Duggan vs Krusher Kruschev w/ Ric Flair -This one is about as wild as you’d imagine. Watts puts over Kruschev as a mercenary and Flair has paid him off in a big way. These guys go for about 6-minutes and Krusher looks good as does Williams who still has some weight behind him but you can see the frame is there for the future. We see Williams thrown out of the ring and then Flair is putting the boots to him until Duggan pulls him off and nails him with a right hand! Flair then grabs the belt and lays out Duggan! Krusher runs out and then it is a two on one on Williams as officials come out but Duggan (who is busted open) grabs the board and he chases off Flair and Krusher. He is screaming that he wants Flair…he wants Flair! It is going to happen his Saturday in the Superdome! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Watts and Ross running down the Superdome card. They put over the big title matches and say that we will hear from Mr. Wrestling II a little later in the broadcast. They welcome in Superstar Billy Graham to the arena. He talks about trusting Rick Rude and saying he thought he could take him to the top but it was the money, it was the power of Jimmy Hart that blackened their relationship. He says he will do whatever it takes to get Rude to understand his situation. We then see Rude and Hart come out for the next contest as Superstar stays on commentary… Brady Boone vs Rick Rude w/ Jimmy Hart -Rude is all over Brady Boone here and he looks good doing so. He is working over the neck and the back and even pulls out a bear hug and mouths off to the Superstar. The crowd is booing up a storm here and Graham says he didn’t care about the people but he may have to listen to them. Rude nails the Rude Awakening and gets the 3 count. He and Hart then get on the house mic and run down Graham and Rude says he is going to put an end to his career come Saturday. Graham accepts and it is on for the Superdome! -Watts and Ross put over that additional match up to what is already one of the most star-studded cards in the history of the sport. They talk about Brody and Magnum vs Tully and his mystery partner… we then see in the back that Magnum is running into the locker-room and Bruiser Brody is laid out and he is a bloody mess! We have officials and agents checking on him as chaos has broken out! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Watts and Ross putting over what we saw in our last segment as Bruiser Brody was laid out. We then hear Tully Blanchard’s music hit and he walks out to the ring and he is joined by none other than… GINO HERNANDEZ! Gino walks out looking like a million dollars. He and Blanchard work the crowd and walk over to Ross and Watts who are fuming… Jim Ross: Tully Blanchard and Gino Hernandez…. Tully Blanchard: You are talk about the Dynamic Duo Ross. The two premiere athletes in the sport of professional wrestling. Known throughout the world over… Tully Blanchard and Gino Hernandez rewrote the book when it came to this sport and Bruiser Brody just found out the hard way that you don’t mess with the baddest dudes on the planet jack. Bill Watts: When we signed this deal, I didn’t expect this… Gino Hernandez: Well Watts… it doesn’t take a blind man to see the stupid look on your face. You signed a contract with the hottest free agent in the sport and it is going to change the face of Mid South Wrestling. I have been on a 6-month vacation and I think it is time that Gino Hernandez steps back into that ring and shows everyone why he and Tully Blanchard rule the world of wrestling. Bill Watts: If you two think this is going to work, you are going to be mistaken… Tully Blanchard: What are you talking about Watts… it has worked. Magnum TA is nothing but a two-bit flunkee who doesn’t know any better. He and that old man Wrestling II tried to put it together but this is the real deal. Brody was a pawn and he was taken out of the game. Gino Hernandez: Magnum TA… you better pack your bags boy… get out of the territory… do yourself a favor. If you show up on Saturday you will be alone… and it is going to be bad news for you! -Ross and Watts put this over as we see Hernandez and Blanchard work the crowd. We then cut to footage from Starrcade where Wrestling II cut Casey’s hair. We then hear from both men who are looking for something more come Saturday in the Superdome. Casey says he is going to take the mask and the title and Wrestling II says all that is left to take from Casey is respect and he’s going to beat it out of him. *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Ross and Watts really pumping up the Superdome card and putting over all the big contests. They turn their attention to the tag team title match with Adonis and Murdoch taking on the Fantastics. They also talk about Masked Superstar & Don Muraco taking on SD Jones and ThunderBolt Patterson as headline contests. We cut to the ring for a big preview of that action… Fantastics vs Masked Superstar & Don Muraco w/ Paul Jones -A big time semi-main event contest here with the Fantastics taking on Muraco and Superstar. They try to match the size of Star and Muraco but nothing doing however the speed continues to be their best friend. We see Adonis and Murdoch come out to the ring to get a bird’s eye view of the action. Watts and Ross put them over as they help Don Muraco get back in the ring. They attempt to go after Rogers but Fulton comes down to help them. We see some good action for 10-minutes and then the chaotic ending when we see Muraco holding Fulton for the Masked Superstar who runs and nails him with a huge boot putting him down. Fulton and Rogers regroup enough to come for a big double dropkick on Superstar and then cover him for the 1…2…3! Adonis and Murdoch attempt to jump in the ring but Fulton and Rogers retreat. We then see Superstar and Muraco going at one another until Jones, Adonis, and Murdoch separate them. Watts and Ross expect there to be more chaos this Saturday night in the Superdome! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Ross and Watts talking about the big main event this Saturday in the Superdome. Ted Dibiase then comes out and talks about how this is not his last night on Mid South Television. He puts over how he is going to rid Mid South of the Junkyard Dog once and for all. He is going to do whatever he can to sell that big contract of the JYD to another promotion and keep him out for not just one year but forever! He says he took out the ultimate insurance policy with the Executioner and King Kong Bundy and that the JYD will not survive tonight and may not make it to the Superdome in one piece. Watts is quick to dismiss him and asks about challengers like Gino Hernandez, Tully Blanchard, Mr. Wrestling II and others… Dibiase reiterates that he is the champion for a reason and no one can challenge him. Ross then brings up how he is going to have to defend that title in Houston on Friday night against Andre the Giant and Dibiase says he is going to show Andre who the real Giant in professional wrestling is… he goes on about his GIANT POCKETBOOK! Watts and Ross put over the main event as we head to the ring! MAIN EVENT Andre the Giant & The Junkyard Dog vs The Executioner & King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart -Right off the bat, Dibiase puts over Jimmy Hart and talks about him getting Rick Rude and just how powerful his family could become. Dibiase says he doesn’t need a manager but if he had to, he’d go with Jimmy. This match is one that screams box office and only goes 10-minutes. These guys spend time plotting around the ring, working slower rest holds but frequent tags between Bundy and the Executioner keep things fresh. The crowd erupts when they see Andre come in for action. He towers over Bundy and the Executioner but the two of them combined are quite force. We end up seeing Andre tied up on the ropes but when JYD goes to help him, Dibiase comes over and they start to battle. The referee calls for the bell as Dibiase, Executioner, and Bundy triple up on JYD and then go for Andre. The Giant tries to break free but isn’t able too and they keep him locked in the ropes and they are pounding away with rights and lefts. Here comes Wahoo McDaniel! Wahoo comes out and he’s got the strap. He runs off the competition as Andre is in rough shape. JYD comes in and things don’t look good. Will the JYD be able to triumph in the Superdome. Who will walk away with the North American Title and the contract of their arch nemesis? -Bill Watts recently sat down and address Mid South Wrestling and it's future. He covered the following topics... The Supdome Show on February 4th -Without a doubt it will be the biggest show in the history of Mid South. The most people we've ever had in the Superdome is 28,000 when the Junkyard Dog defeated Michael Hayes in a Dog Collar Cage Match. He said that JYD and Dibiase are putting everything on the line for this show and only one man will be around the next day. Mid South Wrestlers going to Japan -I have working relationships with Inoki and Baba. I've got some real talented guys going over there and the exposure is great. It shows the true star power of Mid South Wrestling. The recent talks of WTBS and it's wrestling programming -I think it is absolutely absurd. You talk about a national television company, one of the biggest in the country just flip flopping every 3 months. Everyone who comes in drops out quicker than a hiccup. I dare say that Turner has absolutely no clue what the hell is going on with the programming. If he ever wakes up and wants something consistent with the top stars in the country, tell him to give me a call. It is too bad the good people of Georgia have to suffer through this kind of malarkey. The recent talks of Mid South running in New York -We simply went to New York to talk about programming. There is absolutely no talks of Mid South traveling East. With the states we have, and the big addition of Texas, we have got plenty on our plate and are more visible now than ever before. Talks of running Texas Stadium -Even with the weather and our current product, it would be difficult to run a stadium show like that after we invest so much into the Superdome. You are talking almost 50,000... that would be a goal of ours down the line and we are going to do our best on February 4th to pack the Superdome. Vince McMahon's role in Mid South -Vince McMahon is working with me as the head of talent relations. He and I work together with talent coming in and contracts. With our recent expansion, my role has been diversified elsewhere. He has done a great job picking up that role. He gets help from Jim Ross who also helps Joel with production on both Power Pro and our Sunday and Monday loop shows. The signing of Gino Hernandez -I think Gino Hernandez is one of the best wrestlers in the world today. He comes at a very high price and rightfully so. We don't have anything locked in full-time yet, but we're still negotiating those terms. The future of Mid South -I am very happy with what we've done moving out to Texas. Like I said with New York, we are looking to get programming throughout the country in some major markets. Vince McMahon has done a great job calling in and getting meetings in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Los Angeles. We just want to get programming and possible down the line look at some shows here and there.

I LOVED seeing Chris Adams with the upset over Bock. It may go completely unnoticed in the scheme but that's a huge win. I have said it before, you've got the three best managers perhaps in the history of wrestling, each with some premiere power. WWA continues to be a premiere territory in the world of wrestling we've created.

Always interesting to see people's booking styles. Your Survivor Series rebooks must have run over with these great ten-man tags. Nice to see the Vachons (as grizzled veterans) getting that last run as babyfaces here. The thing I like about your roster is the old timers, youngsters, and then guys in their absolute primes. You've got a mix of everything and some legit star power to be built in the Mid Atlantic area. Great start to the rebirth of MACW. -

I've thoroughly enjoyed these so far. I am interested to see how the next couple of years go with the roster... could be some very interesting books scenarios with some low spots and some different guys coming into the promotion. -

Power Pro Wrestling Sunday January 29th Vince: Welcome everyone to Power Pro Wrestling! I am Vince McMahon and what a night of action we have for you fans. We have got action with Bruiser Brody and Magnum TA teaming up as we saw that they would be in the Superdome on February the 4th. Let’s take a look at footage from this past week’s MSW and see exactly what happened. -We cut to footage from this past week’s MSW. We see Tully Blanchard calling out Magnum TA and then Bruiser Brody saying he would team with Magnum. We then cut to footage of Brody and Magnum teaming up… Bruiser Brody & Magnum TA vs Raul Castro & Israel Matia -McMahon and Ross put this over in a big way. They talk about Brody and Magnum teaming up and wonder who could be Tully Blanchard’s partner. Magnum hits Israel with a huge belly – to – belly suplex and then Brody runs with a huge flying knee drop! 1…2…3 and Brody and Magnum work the crowd. Who will join Tully in the Superdome? *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro returns with Vince McMahon talking about the influx of talent. He puts over some of the stars who have wrestled in Mid South in the past and he says that one man has returned. He puts over Maniac Matt Borne and he talks about his ties with Ted Dibiase, Dino Bravo, and Adrian Adonis. He wonders just where he will fall in his recent return. He talks about how he is unpredictable and perhaps someone who could make some serious waves given the chance. Matt Borne vs Omar Atlas -Borne comes back to Mid South and he looks to be in pretty good shape. McMahon and Ross really put him over as a challenger for the Television or North American championship. Borne is really working the back and before too long we see nice Northern Light’s Suplex for the 1….2…3! Borne looks to be talking to himself and putting his hands through his hair… what does the future hold for this Maniac? *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro returns with Vince McMahon putting over Andre the Giant. He puts over the big contest with the Executioner in the Superdome. He talks about Andre contending for the North American Championship on February the 3rd in Houston. He wonders if he could walk away with the title and defend it in the Superdome. We then get to see him in action. Andre the Giant vs Johnny Rodz & Dominic DeNucci - A nice handicap contest here with Andre the Giant. Ross and McMahon say that Andre is without a doubt the favorite against Dibiase in Houston. They talk about how he could walk away with the title and then defend the title against The Executioner. Tonight he handles Rodz and DeNucci pretty good and finishes things when he bodyslams Rodz on top of DeNucci and then butt slams for the 1…2…3! Andre works the crowd as the fans love seeing him. *COMMERCIAL* - Power Pro returns with McMahon talking about the big NWA World Championship match. He talks about Duggan’s buddy Dr. Death Steve Williams returning. He says that Williams will be in action this week against Krusher Kruschev. He then turns his attention to the Mid South Television Championship. He puts over Wrestling II and says Scott Casey is looking for return from Starrcade and losing his hair. He says that Casey may want the title and the mask and do whatever it takes to walk about with both. Brady Boone vs Scott Casey -A good contest with Casey really looking strong over the recent weeks. Casey works over Boone pretty good and says that Wrestling II is going to lose his title. Casey works over the neck and skull and then he hits the Brainbuster on Boone for the 1…2…3! Ross and McMahon talk about Casey vs Wrestling II at the Superdome. Can Casey get his hands on the gold and put an end to Wrestling II’s reign? *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro returns with Vince putting over the card for the Superdome on February the 4th. MID SOUTH PRESENTS THE BATTLE FOR NEW ORLEANS Saturday February 4th 1984 NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP LOSER LEAVES TOWN FOR ONE YEAR ONLY THE WINNER CAN BRING HIM BACK EARLY! Junkyard Dog vs Ted Dibiase © NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Hacksaw Duggan vs Ric Flair © MID SOUTH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Wrestling II © vs Scott Casey MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics © vs The North South Connection Andre the Giant vs The Executioner Wahoo McDaniel vs King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart Bruiser Brody & Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard & Mystery Partner ThunderBolt Patterson & S.D. Jones vs Masked Superstar & Don Muraco w/ Paul Jones -Vince continues to put over all the big matches including King Kong Bundy taking on Wahoo McDaniel. He talks about this union between Bundy and the Executioner and puts it over as one of the most terrifying teams in all of wrestling. He says that this week on MSW we will see Bundy and the Executioner team up and they will take on The Junkyard Dog and Andre the Giant! Truly one of the biggest matches in the history of MSW television. We cut to the ring for Bundy and The Executioner in action… The Executioner & King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart vs El Bracero & Tom Zenk - A pretty good squash here as Zenk and Bracero have got some high flying skills but just nowhere near the power of Bundy and the Executioner. Jimmy Hart does a great job outside the ring putting Bundy over and Vince and Ross wonder if Hart will manage the Executioner down the line. In the end we see the Executioner pick up Zenk for a humungous body slam and then Bundy with a splash for the 1…2….3! The crowd is in awe of these two huge monsters and they will team up this week on MSW against the JYD and Andre the Giant in a match you can’t afford to miss! Plus Ric Flair will be in the building as we will be just days away from the Battle for New Orleans live from the Superdome! -

Continued success with Southeastern. Well done on the secondary show having angles to go along with the contests. I would have liked to have seen the six man on your main card with the Bodies and Armstrongs as they has been a nice addition to your card. You have also transformed Tommy Rich into one of the premiere players in this world of wrestling and he continues to be showcased in a strong way. -
I don't mean this to be negative but as feedback, but you've got a LOT going on with your shows. I get lost trying to keep up with everything and the font changes and the stuff. I don't know if it is a formatting thing or what, but the presentation is throwing me for a loop. All that said, huge roster, big angles, and some serious shit going on. The ending segment shows just how crazy things can get in Memphis and it is true to form. Your top 10 is a wishlist for anyone, but wouldn't Idol be out of the top 10 and the others be ranked in order by which they could challenge him? I
