I second this.
-
I agree especially if I have to give up Vince McMahon Jr now that we are re-incarnating the WWF. If that were the case I would drop Watts and open up the WWF with Vince and my roster and then we wouldn't have the North East problem.
-
A just as a frame of reference, I currently have 34 active wrestlers, 3 managers (Soon to be 2) and then 1 announcer from the draft, not counting my home grown ones. So if it were to be voted on to have one of the lower caps, I would already be having to cut people right?
-
I will state it again, I don't want a massive roster, but even the other day I was looking at doing a double booking with the current crop and I had to jump out for Freelance work. This is my concern to work around, not the groups. I have no problem sitting into the mindset that we all have to be the same size, it is not overly kosher with me, but writing and story line will out due any of those concerns. Whatever the max cap that one person sees fit to put in a poll is, it has my vote for all intensive purposes.
-
I am not overly big on the cap... I have stated from the beginning that vertical expansion is one thing I'd like to accomplish but having more limitations on my product being able to grow would be difficult. Perhaps if the cap was bigger, then I'd be fine, more as a place holder, but not something that is going to limit me from being able to build my product. And yes, I know I cans till have trades and such, but home grown guys are always important. If the cap were more like 40-45, I feel that those are barriers I could work around. Just an opinion.

So Solie is half and half with Florida and Georgia?? No quarrel on my behalf just wondering how that worked.
-
I don't really want to stir the pot with this question but I think it's something that should be answered... But who does Gordon Solie work for? For all intensive purposes Florida is in NWA territory however he is also over on southeastern which is AWA territory. Anyone else see this is a conflict? If you guys have an agreement that's awesome I just thought it was interesting how that dynamic was working out.
-
The question is not if someone wants him but what it takes to get him. I'd reopen talks if there was a chance.
-
For your dummy promotions that "stay alive" and hold people, perhaps the top 5 or 6, those could be freelanced until someone picks up the promotion.
-
I see. I was just hoping that individuals wouldn't just pass on the vote as it is an option.
-
Why is there an option to pass, isn't that counter-productive to what we are trying to achieve through this poll?
-
If someone new comes in, they would have an expansion draft from current writers. If we really want new people to come in and take part we will have to be willing to sacrifice pieces of our pie for them. I have to put it over again, for the purpose of roster size, it is entirely your choice how many people you draft or if you draft at all. This bloated argument is all in the hands of the individual promotions.
-
But it is a good point that YOU have complete control over your roster size. No one is forcing you to make selections in the draft, right? If you want to try and run 40+, it is your choice. The kicking people out thing is atrocious especially due to you being one of the pioneers of saying 30 days of inactivity and someone is gone. If you stance has changed, then that is fine. I don't want to kick people out either, but a specific protocol needs to be put in place and the merger thing, in my opinion is outdated at this point. This is another good point. I want to be able to work with those who are active. Right now Peach and I have an ongoing roster deal for the month, if he drops, those plans could go down the drain and that hurts my promotion especially with my top guy gone. I think everyone is looking for individuals who will be active and we just have to answer the question to how long an individual can be inactive and hold on to valuable commodities (workers or cities).
-
If there is a draft, you don't have to select people do you?
-
I think you were only allowed one merger in the original proposal. It's either Stampede or (if peachchaos is dropping out) AWA who gets the merger this time. But at this point we might as well just reassess how to proceed with this. Agreed even though those of us who haven't gotten a merger kind of get stuck, the overall change will be beneficial.
-
I am good for rain getting a shot at stampede if goc is correct. I have to stand against wahoo picking up iwf though. I believe goc said he couldnt get a second merger on top of the fact he said he's been busy and hasn't been able to post.
-
Well IWF would go to Vancouver who has been absent and then to stampede. Let's see if someone jumps in and then go from there.
-
With grimmas' development, the initial trade was Murdoch and Fuchi for Wahoo but that will be effect immediatly if grimmas bows out.
-
No reason to throw dirt on it... everyone has a life and sometimes reality rules over fantasy wrestling.

I think he wants Mil for Oct. 13-15, but also thought it was Oct. 10-13, 14, 15 at first. Yep 10 as in October sorry for the confusion. October 13-15 is the request.
-
Can Mid South have Mil Mascaras on 10 - 13, 14, and 15th?
-
Terry Taylor goes to MACW Tommy Rogers goes to Mid South
-
No I hear you, I simply forgot about it and with all the other conversations, it just didn't jump the the top of my list. I will try to keep it updated on here when things go through.
-
Yep, just like the Murdoch trade. My roster page on the promotions page is updated. I guess that my main concern is to keep my own roster up to date. If we have to announce everything it kind of takes away from things. Given the trade was 9 days old, I think we will be okay with adding it, but if it has to be as SOON as it happens... I will try to do better by you goc.

It is inherently a flawed system with the amount of moves that take place. You can only do your best with it, it can't be the GO TO for people though. If anything it is a guide to direct them to the next step of finding the information they are interested in.
