  1. Mid South Wrestling is coming to you from the Irish McNeil Boy’s Club in Shreveport, Louisiana {Mid South Wrestling opens this week with footage of the Superdome show this past weekend with Ted Dibiase losing his North American title and his job to the JYD. We also see the tag team title win by Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen. We cut to the arena with Jim Ross and Bill Watts standing by…} Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to Mid South Wrestling! I am Jim Ross alongside Cowboy Bill Watts and we are coming off one of the biggest shows in the history of Mid South Wrestling Jim. Last week from the Superdome, we saw the scope of this company change and perhaps the scope of the business. Bill Watts: I have helped put together a number of Superdome cards Jim Ross, but never before have I seen anything like this Boyd Pierce: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest is scheduled for 1 fall with a 15-minute time limit. Introducing first, from Havanna, Cuba, Raul Castro. His opponent, from Atlanta, Georgia, ThunderBolt Patterson! ThunderBolt Patterson vs Raul Castro {A great little opener tonight with ThunderBolt Patterson really coming off well for this Shreveport crowd. They are 100% behind him and he really brings a fun fight. Castro is a hated heel that does everything he can to break down the ThunderBolt but he’s got more in the tank. The crowd explodes when ThunderBolt ducks the clothesline and then gets Raul for a SPINEBUSTER and the 1…2…3! ThunderBolt works the crowd and lets the people know what its all about. He is still in the hunt for the television championship as we cut to results from last night’s event from Houston…} IRONMAN TV TITLE TOURNAMENT Tiger Chung Lee w/ Tojo defeated Don Muraco via count out @ 9:43 when Muraco tried to get back in the ring but Tojo grabbed his foot and he couldn’t make the 10 count! Tiger Chung Lee received 15 points for the tournament IRONMAN TV TITLE TOURNAMENT Mr. Wrestling II and ThunderBolt Patterson went to a 20-minute draw. Both Wrestling II and ThunderBolt Patterson received 5 points for the tournament. *COMMERCIAL* -Watts and Ross put over the television tournament. They say that it is anyone's ball game at this point as they run through the point totals. Point totals Mr. Wrestling II 25 points, Tiger Chung Lee 15 points, Don Muraco 10 points, & ThunderBolt Patterson 5 points. -Watts and Ross then discuss the Tonga Kid and put him over as a potential challenger down the line. They talk about all the title hunts in Mid South and how they will culminate before our very eyes over the next couple of weeks. Boyd Pierce: Ladies and gentlemen our next contest is a six-man extravaganza. Introducing first, lead by Tojo Yammamoto, the team of Tiger Chung Lee and the German Destoryers, Kurt Von Hess and Baron Von Raschke! Their opponents, The Tonga Kid, Burrhead Jones, and Sweet Daddy Siki! The Tonga Kid, Sweet Daddy Siki & Burrhead Jones vs Tiger Chung Lee & The German Destroyers {This is a great, fast paced contest. The Tonga Kid is so over right now with the crowd as Watts and Ross put him through the roof. Tiger Chung Lee is just pining at the bit to get involved. These guys don’t have a ton of time so the pace continues to quicken. It is actually some double-teaming from the Germans that lead to a hot finish. Tonga and Tiger take their fight outside the ring and are throwing some huge bombs. Inside the ring, Von Hess and the Baron nail a double kick to the skull of Jones sending him out. They grab Siki who makes a fight but The Germans toss him into the ring post three times before setting him for a spike piledriver and the 1….2….3! This isn’t over though. Tonga and Tiger are still fighting before Von Hess and The Baron attack him from behind. Watts and Ross are going nuts as Tiger Chung Lee with some huge shots and then he grabs a wooden chair and just DESTROYS it over the head of the Tonga Kid. He is left laying with blood coming from his head. This is pure destruction… The Germans and the Japanese are on the same page and this could spell some serious trouble for Mid South Wrestling! We then cut to a fun promo with the Fantastics saying that they will be showing up in Mid South Wrestling next week and are looking forward to showing the fans what their made of!} *COMMERCIAL* -Watts and Ross put over the injuries from the Destroyers and Lee. They talk about a potential super group but discuss how the Fantastics will be here next week. They put over how great they have been live but how much better it will be when they are here for the television crowd. They put over the young talent and talk about an uprising of sorts but how there are some veterans who won't stand for change as we cut to our next contest.... Boyd Pierce: Ladies and gentlemen, our next contest is a one-fall match with a 15-minute time limit. Introducing first, from Honolulu, Hawaii, accompanied by the Grand Wizard, The Magnificent Muraco! And his is opponent, from El Paso, Texas. El Bracero! El Bracero vs Don Muraco w/ The Grand Wizard {Another solid contest with two guys who have different fortunes in Mid South Wrestling. Muraco is a true pro and looks to break every rule in the book. We see the Grand Wizard help his cause but in a surprising turn of events, El Bracero just looks STRONG tonight. Muraco gives him the opportunity and this guy turns it on in a big way. He is able to fly around the ring and Muraco sells for him but in the end it is a nasty spot that finishes El Bracero. He leaps for a cross body but Muraco grabs him and falls backwards with Bracero nailing the top rope with his throat and gasping for air as Muraco finishes him for the 1…2…3! Muraco puts the boots to Bracero and walks off looking as smug as ever.} *COMMERCIAL* -We return to Mid South with Watts and Ross putting over the Junkyard Dog who joins them on commentary. The JYD talks about Ted Dibiase and says he was one of the greatest competitors in his career but he knows that on that day the better man won. JYD says he owes it all to his fans and says his friends like Brody and Hansen have helped him get to this point and he will do whatever it takes to keep the gold! Boyd Pierce: Ladies and gentlemen, our next contest is a one-fall match for the Mid South tag team championship with a 60-minute time limit. Introducing first, the challengers, The Sheik & Abdullah the Butcher! Their opponents... the champions... Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen! MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen © vs The Sheik & Abdullah the Butcher {A big time main event with four of the premiere athletes in the world of wrestling. We all know Abby and Sheik were working for Dibiase the entire time. We know they came in to take out the Dog but they bit off more than they could chew with Brody and Hansen. We have got limited television time remaining here tonight and this one is a wild brawl from start to finish. Brody and Hansen do work well enough together which helps their cause while Sheik and Abby focus on the chaos of the event. The JYD points out that he sees each of these men being contenders for his North American Title and would be proud to defend it against any of them. Things are beginning to wind down as Ross and Watts say we have just minutes left. The crowd then stirs and it can’t be… TED DIBIASE IS HERE! He is in the crowd and he is showing off a ticket as he is calling out the Dog. We’ve got pure chaos with limited time left! Now the Wild Samoans run down to the ring! Hansen with a LARIAT on Abdullah taking him down but the Samoans pull Hansen out of the ring. Sheik and Brody are fighting but Dibiase distracts Brody long enough for the Sheik to THROW A FIREBALL! Brody has been blinded! Security is ushering Dibiase out of the arena. JYD is over checking on Brody who is obviously hurt. The Samoans have laid out Hansen. Watts and Ross have gone completely insane. This is Mid South Wrestling and we’ll see you next week!}
  2. The way it was sold is that Andre was part of the wwf. I know that there is a deal on the table for Andre and his use as an attraction throughout the world with a home promotion worked well already and shouldn't have to change.
  3. As soon as Dawho posts his list, Mid South's October tour starts for me too.
  4. This seems good to me since you aren't involved and don't have too much of a stake. You have held up your end of the deal as someone we can all work with for sure.
  5. But if vince or gorilla aren't picked they are put in the draft right??
  6. I concur. It will make for an interesting mix of talent.
  7. For the promotion mergers, tonight we should have the rosters from Boon and Dawho right? Then are we having someone outside the project (Kriz Z maybe?) do a quick draft order randomizer and start this thing up within the next 24 hours? I really don't want to be pushy, but I think as most of us can say, an influx of some of these possible talents could really change the scope of early October stuff and longer term booking.
  8. 9/30 Mid South Wrestling Live from The Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas El Bracero defeated Don Kent The German Destroyers defeated Sweet Daddy Siki & Burrhead Jones The Fantastics defeated The Wild Samoans via DQ when the Samoans went into business for themselves and took to weapons and throwing the Fantastics into the crowd! IRONMAN TV TITLE TOURNAMENT Tiger Chung Lee w/ Tojo defeated Don Muraco via count out @ 9:43 when Muraco tried to get back in the ring but Tojo grabbed his foot and he couldn’t make the 10 count! Tiger Chung Lee received 15 points for the tournament IRONMAN TV TITLE TOURNAMENT Mr. Wrestling II and ThunderBolt Patterson went to a 20-minute draw. Both Wrestling II and ThunderBolt Patterson received 5 points for the tournament. TEXAS DEATH MATCH Stan Hansen defeated The Sheik when he couldn’t make the 10 count. Hansen attempted to hang Sheik with the bull rope but finished him off with a Lariat on the cement floor! MAIN EVENT NORTH AMERICAN TITLE The Junkyard Dog defeated Dick Slater in a bloody 15-minute war. Slater was a surprise for the contest as it was announced that Ted Dibiase had hired someone to come in and take the title and hurt JYD.
  9. I agree. Let's take a look at what the list looks like when all is said and done from the mergers. Then we will have a more clear idea of who would be available and how these rules would look.
  10. Something like that yea. But if the time limit was up and no one else was interested in using him then you could keep doing it until someone else put in a claim. I am on board for that. The other catalyst could be that if you drop someone to pick them up, there would be no time limit? So a regular booking pick up could be a month. If you wanted to do a full booking pick up, you would drop someone to take his place.
  11. I am a little fuzzy on the second part there. Would it be me picking someone from that list and having them for only like 1 month or something along those lines? I think the guideline of only getting to pick one person a week should stay in for sure.
  12. I updated the free agency thread. I think it is safe we put things on hold until we decide if we want to change the rule and make it so that you don't have to drop someone to pick someone up. I am okay with this move, and would say that if you disagree just state it here. I think the list may grow over the next couple of months and all those talents not absorbed in the potential mergers would be added.
  13. 9/29 Mid South Wrestling Live from The Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson, Mississippi Sika defeated Tommy Rogers The Sheik defeated El Bracero Afa defeated Bobby Fulton The Tonga Kid defeated Tiger Chung Lee Don Muraco w/ the Grand Wizard defeated ThunderBolt Patterson MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen defeated The German Destroyers by DQ when the Shiek interfered! MAIN EVENT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP The Junkyard Dog defeated Abdullah the Butcher
  14. N.W.O, B.W.O, or L.W.O for me...
  15. Okay. I will take the guys from there to update free agency then. Just wanted to check with Brian,El, and Boon still on there unless it wasn't updated.
  16. Any updates on this or the October draft??

  18. Technically yes, you should take Trav's spot in the draft. Since he has already passed, I am sure someone else will make a ruling on if you can draft from those left in October. The same could be said and SuperFan taking Kris' spot, even though that has been modified. For November, you would have the first pick for fresh talent then. In terms of Reese, it appears he was added to the draft because of being a free agent. I don't think anyone will be picking him, so he should be yours free and clear. We can modify how Free Agency works when we have our next monthly draft and hold off on the Free Agency piece until the draft is complete.
  19. Rain said his buddy wasn't around. Are we ready for DaWho and Boon to give us their drop lists for the draft then? If we could get it done before too long and then figure out the town stuff, I am sure it would make things easier.
  20. Updated. Will add on October draft guys when finished over there.
  21. I know it is kind of weird things, and how much people take into account what the name means when it comes to expanding or something like that. It wouldn't make sense for Mid South wrestling to run in Los Angeles if you were just going by the name but even with what the current WWE is done you rarely hear World Wrestling Entertainment it is just WWE it could be the same way for MSW. The idea of changing over to the UWF would not be for a while and wouldn't come until my roster had at least 15 more people so that it wouldn't kind of seemed like a universal thing rather than just a ploy to try and expand the namesake of my company by changing up the words.
  22. I know it seems a little crazy I just wanted to ask a question. Not a big deal.
  23. It is merely a conversation piece, I do like the territory that I have with Oklahoma Louisiana and Houston. The conversation I was just bringing up would be would it be possible for a promotion to come in for to say we are no longer going to be MidSouth I'm going to change my name to Eastern Championship Wrestling and move my product into the Eastern Market. Or if I were to say I was going to dissolve MidSouth in turn it into West Coast Wrestling and run California in all of those areas.
  24. Honestly, if WWF dies then Maple Leaf is changing it's name and running Boston Gardens, Spectrum, MSG and Joe Louis arena. If somebody else wants to run there, we will talk. I guess I have that question with the name change thing. Do we have free reign over that with our promotion? Could Mid South become the UWF at some point or could I upend it and move things around and have it become a whole new promotion? I have a specific question in regards to like ECW... not Extreme but Eastern Championship Wrestling. Is it illegal for me to uproot Mid South and become something like that? I'd like more than a yes or no if possible and this is just a discussion question and not a plan of mine, just wanted to see what the protocol would be on this kind of a situation.
  25. WWF Live @ the Meadowlands Arena - Tuesday September 27th 1983 {Gary Michael Cappetta announces the arrival of Gorilla Monsoon and he’s joined by Superstar Billy Graham!!} -Gorilla and Superstar open up tonight’s action running down the card and the hot crowd here in the Meadowlands. They put over what we saw here a month ago with the breaking of Terry Funk’s leg, the big NWA Championship Match, and the WWF title match with Nick Bockwinkel & Dusty Rhodes. They put over the two big tag team contests this evening along with the two title matches. They say that tonight is the night that Bob Backlund FINALLY gets his hands on Nick Bockwinkel! FLAG MATCH The Fantastics vs Tiger Chung Lee & Mr. Fuji {A great opening contest tonight as the crowd is white hot for the Fantastics. Fulton and Rogers have been on a hot streak like no other recently and without a doubt they could be a force in the WWF. The rules of this one are that both teams came out with a Flag, the winning team’s flag would be raised when that team wins. This one is a fun 15-minute opener with both teams getting some nice offense in. Lee and Fuji have found a way to slow the pace down one more time but you can tell there is something brewing with the Fantastics and they pick up the pace to a break neck level. Fuji and Lee finally break and some great tandem moves take the two Orientals down! A couple of double clotheslines, double dropkicks, and even Tiger Chung Lee takes a big double back body drop! Fuji with a double bodyslam and then a ROCKET LAUNCHER and without a doubt 1….2….3!! The Fantastics have won it! The crowd pops pretty good here then the flag is raised and the eruption is great.} -Gorilla and Superstar put this through the roof. They talk about the Fantastics possibly being in line for the tag team titles down the line. They discuss the former tag team champion, Brisco Brothers, and the issues they had with the Funks. They put over how these two could wrestle in any kind of match but tonight is the 2/3 falls contest as we head to the ring! 2/3 FALLS Jack Brisco vs Dory Funk {The hits keep coming with these two and we get some amazing wrestling to get things going here. Dory and Jack work so fluidly together and go move for move with no wasted motion. Gorilla and Superstar say this could be the end if one of these guys can get a deciding fall over the other. We do see what some could say is a fluke, but Jack Brisco counters Dory and ties him up and somehow locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock and Dory submits in a matter of seconds as he was so far from the ropes. Superstar says it was the smart move as Dory is outside the ring shaking out his leg. Jack brings the fight outside the ring and things really get fishy here. Dory uses some of that Texas mean outside the ring and he works Jack over pretty well. These guys jump back in the ring and do some more catch wrestling as Dory controls the contest but Jack fights back knowing he is one move away. Dory really starts to work over the leg and things take a turn for the worse when he pulls Jack outside the ring and starts pounding his leg on the ring post! The referee looks to stop it but Dory pushes him to the ground! Wait a second… Dory grabs a steel chair and he CRACKS IT on Jack’s LEG! The crowd can’t believe it. Debris is flying in from all over the arena! Officials come out as this one has broken loose. Dory walks off with the chair high in the air, as Jack’s leg is a mess. He is holding on tightly to that knee as there may be some serious injury here.} -Gorilla and Superstar put this over and Superstar is ready to jump down there. They put over the feud and wonder what Jack Brisco will be able to do and what the extent of the injury will be. They turn their attention to the Intercontinental Championship and this blood feud between Steamboat and Savage. They talk about tonight being a make or break night for Savage, as this could be his last chance to get his hands on the title. WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Ricky Steamboat © vs Randy Savage {The crowd is still WHITE HOT from that previous contest and they are really giving Savage the business! Steamboat comes out to an amazing ovation. This one once again goes the distance. These two guys put everything they’ve got out there and the crowd eats it up. Gorilla and Superstar put it through the roof as we see Savage hold the pace in the beginning to see Steamboat come back with all his might. He is chopping Savage down to nothing but the Macho Man has got more in the tank and he keeps coming. These guys fight all over the ring and outside throwing the rulebook out the window. The big moment happens when Steamboat goes for a big chop off the top rope but Savage pulls the referee in the way and he goes down hard! We get a couple more moments of action before another referee comes out to the ring as Steamboat and Savage get into a series and then Savage goes up top but Steambaot catches him for a back suplex and both men go down for the 11…22…33!!! Wait a moment! Dick Woehrle was knocked out but still counting. Dick Kroll came out to the ring and he counted. Kroll raises Savage’s hand! GMC is unsure what to announce as he says Savage is the champion but then Woehrle comes over and raises Steamboat’s arm and GMC says he is STILL the champion! We have complete chaos as Savage grabs the belt and he CRACKS Steamboat before leaving with the title! Gorilla and Superstar are stunned and put this over… who is the real IC Champion?!?} *15-MINUTE INTERMISSION* -Gorilla and Superstar come back from intermission and discuss the IC title issue. They wonder what will be done and who can make a decision on the matter. They put over the tag team titles and the reign of Ole and Arn Anderson and what they mean to the division. They talk about possible contenders and put over Billy Robinson but wonder who will join him in this fight against the Andersons… Billy Robinson vs Ole Anderson w/ Arn Anderson {We get a fun one to come back from intermission. This one is a nice back and forth with some really stiff shots. Ole is no slouch as he and Robinson put it all together. Gorilla puts over a young up and comer named Bret Hart who could come in and join Robinson, but Superstar says that the Andersons would find a way to take him out. Double A is outside the ring and he is making his presence known here and there but nothing crazy yet. Billy is able to turn the tide and really get things going his way and this is when Double A makes his mark. He attempts to go for Robinson who causes a nice collision between Ole and Arn before rolling up Ole for the 1…2…3! This victory doesn’t last long though as Arn jumps in the ring and it is a 2 on 1 beatdown! Billy fights his way out but nothing doing. Gorilla says this has to stop and then we get silence before we see Superstar Graham in the ring and he’s fighting off the Andersons! It is Robinson and Graham and the fans are going NUTS! The champions back off but this one is FAR from over.} -Just Gorilla now and he’s putting over the chaotic turn of events. He says that on Superstars we will get word on what is going on with the IC title and this issue with Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat. He turns his attention to a week ago and the brawl with Andre/Mascaras and Brody/Hansen. He says tonight all four men are going to be in the ring with extra security and referees around. He doesn’t know what will happen! TEXAS TORNADO MATCH Andre the Giant & Mil Mascaras vs Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen {Wild only begins to explain what happens here with four of the top wrestlers in the world. With all four men in the ring, the security outside of the ring plays their part. Hansen and Andre take the fight outside the ring and the fans scatter when Andre clotheslines Hansen over the guardrail to the floor. Brody and Mascaras do work inside the ring and when Brody gets control… he puts Mascaras down and then goes outside the ring and jumps on Andre’s back! It is a two on one fight as Hansen is still outside the guardrail throwing punches! The crowd explodes when Mascaras goes to the ropes and he FLIES off the apron on Brody! Gorilla says that the Texas Tornado rules for this match simply added to the chaos. These guys continue to brawl outside the ring as a lul occurs, Andre and Mascaras get back inside the ring and welcome Brody and Hansen in. Brody tosses a chair at Andre and hits his leg before Andre goes out of the ring as Brody and Hansen retreat to the back. This is pure chaos as the bell sounds… Mascaras and Andre are awarded the contest via count out. Mascaras looks happy but Andre looks like he wants more!} -Gorilla continues to put over the action and wonders if even a steel cage could hold these guys in the ring. He wonders who will be next in line for the tag team titles if there is ever a winner from that feud. He puts over all the action tonight and says it has come to this moment. MAIN EVENT WWF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Bob Backlund vs Nick Bockwinkel © w/ Bobby Heenan {It has come to this. The tension in the arena is just insane with so much riding on this contest. Backlund comes out to a great ovation from the crowd and Gorilla puts him through the roof as the top man to take the title from Bockwinkel. Bockwinkel and Bobby Heenan then come out and Blackjack Lanza joins them. There is a ton of security flooding the arena and the fans are rabid against Heenan and Bock right now with debris being thrown in their direction. Heenan is giving it back to the fans and then we see WWF officials come out and they are escorting Lanza to the back! The crowd pops for that. Before the match starts we then see the referee checking Bockwinkel for objects and he is leaving nothing to the imagination and Bock and Heenan are pissed. Once the bell rings, we get into a great 24-minute war. Bock and Backlund get into a great series. The match begins with Bockwinkel doing everything he can to stay out of Backlund’s grasp! The crowd just builds and builds till the moment that it happens and Bockwinkel has nowhere to run or hide. Backlund is throwing everything he’s got at Bock and you can feel that the title could be changing hands tonight. Heenan is doing everything he can outside the ring to get involved but he gets a big right hand for his pleasure. Bockwinkel runs and nails Backlund in the back with a high knee and Backlund’s head hits the turnbuckle. Heenan gets up there and he undoes the turnbuckle and the steel is exposed. Bockwinkel comes back over and he is going to ram Backlund’s head but he blocks it and Backlund backs up Bock and they go at it. The referee is unaware of the turnbuckle. Backlund is looking to finish Bock off and he is going to CATAPULT him into the turnbuckle but Heenan jumps up there and sacrifices his body as Bock nails him! We have pandemonium right now. Backlund goes over and nails Heenan again and Bock comes and grabs Backlund’s head and RAMS him into the steel exposed turnbuckle! He does it again! Backlund is busted wide open. The referee now sees the exposed steel and he calls for the bell! Heenan is out of it but here comes Lanza! Lanza jumps in the ring and he nails the referee. Then Bock and Lanza pick up Backlund and a SPIKE PILEDRIVER! OH MY! Backlund is laid out. Debris is filling the ring. Bock grabs his belt as Lanza and Heenan walk out. This is pure chaos.} -It has been a pleasure running the WWF for the month. I know some of us feel weird about a WWF-less wrestling world but this could be a great dynamic to take into account to see who will become the leaders throughout the time of this project without the WWF brand. If Rain's friend does pick up the WWF, this should be a good show to build from. If the WWF goes down, hopefully this did it justice and you could see what it could look like in the future.
