  1. As long as the guys were active in 1983-84, it should be okay. In regards to the Canada show, with your movement to Detroit, it would be safe to assume it is off... but I am sure someone else could pick it up if needed.
  2. RIP: The Grand Wizard Ernie Roth 8/30/26 – 10/12/83
  3. I was just thinking that this could be a good spot to post for those who have passed away in our game world. Maybe do just keep up on active and non active wrestlers and see where somebody is in case they didn't know if they had passed away. I believe right now, MidSouth is the only one who has lost somebody being the Grand Wizard. We could use this post to write up small obits or highlights from what that person has done since being introduced into the game possibly. We can then try and keep an updated list of individuals who have passed away on this thread. Does this work? The Grand Wizard Ernie Roth - 8/30/26 – 10/12/83 Vince McMahon Sr. - 7/6/1914 – 5/24/1984
  4. So is it safe to say that this is a go? Dexter can start operations as of today?
  5. I am going to go ahead and request Mascaras on November 2, 3, 4, and 5th to lead into the Showdown at the Superdome for whomever is taking over the booking for this month.
  6. Sounds good man, just checking.
  7. Just an odd question from this, are you going to continue with your Mascaras dates on 10/30 - Southwest & 10/31 - Southwest still then? Also, I posted on the November post, and if the new guy takes IWF, he would take over November's freelance booking. Are we going with this as we approach the new month?
  8. I think we give it a go. If someone wants to come in and run a promotion, it is beneficial for that person to run it the way that they want. Now moving to Michigan will be interesting and still leaves that big gap in the North East, but I think we can decipher that issue at another point in time due to us having a huge gap on the West Coast as well.
  9. All set.
  10. I hear ya, and I definitely see both sides of the story. I guess we could run with that for a while and see what it looks like. If you have 34 you have to do the drop/add... if you have less you can pick up with no drop. Seem good?
  11. You said drop the trade, would that mean ending the statute where you drop someone in order to add someone on the free agency wire?
  12. Mid South is like it was before going national, like the wwf was, simply an associate and not full member.
  13. How would that work if you only get so many people? Some of us may not be at the cap yet but wouldn't we want everyone on the same plain?
  14. Exactly. We could change the rule but since people voted on the cap, this kind of has to be in place.
  15. Yes, I believe we agreed on something along the lines of dropping someone to pick someone up fully. If it was simply to give the person work for a month, they would become a free agent once that month concludes. If you are indeed having them full time, a person would need to be dropped, regardless of the roster cap. Those "free adds" if you will come from the drafts.
  16. I like the output from Floria so far. Sullivan is a key component to the dark side. Hennig is an up and comer who will shed blood for the fans and the fate of his career. Then we have Dusty who will always be the top draw and the man by which the world turns. Some good additions with Mike Von Erich and Mike Shaw who will both be serviceable members of the roster while Mosca is turning into the biggest bully on the block. You put forth a lot of attention to the details which helps the product build and the fluidity by which it comes across will become more clear as time progresses. When Dusty has some free time and wants to come swipe up all the Superdome money, let me know, he is a highly valued commodity anywhere in the world and Mid South would love to do business with him.

  18. 10/19 - Mid South Wrestling Live- Shreveport, Louisiana - Irish McNeil Boys Club Mid South Wrestling is coming to you from the Civic Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Fox and its affiliates Fox 8 out of New Orleans, KLRT 16 out of Little Rock, WXXV 25 out of Jackson, KOKH 25 out of Oklahoma City, and KRIV 26 out of Houston. {Mid South Wrestling opens with footage of the big show from the Sam Houston Coliseum this past weekend. We then cut to the arena and before Watts and Ross can even get into it, here comes Adonis, Borne, and Bravo! Jim Ross: Now what in the world are you guys doing out here? Adrian Adonis: We aren’t out here for a fight Ross… we are out here to collect a check or an answer! Now where is that low down dirty dog!? {The crowd then pops as the JYD comes out but he isn’t alone! Wahoo McDaniel and Mr. Wrestling II join him… we also see some officials come out as Bill Watts walks in front of the broadcast booth…} Bill Watts: Well JYD… everyone wants to know… will you face Ted Dibiase on the 5th? JYD: Lemme tell you something Bill Watts… I looked at that check last week and I thought… $10,000 is a lotta money. That’s a lot of money that could be used to help a lot of people in Shreveport. So I got on the phone and I got a hold of the Boys and Girls right here in Shreveport and I cashed that check and gave them every single dime of that $10,000! {The crowd pops huge! Adonis and company aren’t happy at all with this announcement…} Adonis: So I take it you accept the match and are going to try to get your hands on another check huh? JYD: Adrian… I am going to take that match. I am going to once and for ALL get rid of Ted Dibiase. You found out first hand that I am the champion and there ain’t a man alive who can take it from me! {Dino Bravo then steps up and gets into the JYD’s face… Wahoo counters as we have got a big time showdown coming up. Bill Watts is in between em as Jim Ross announces a huge main event of Wahoo McDaniel taking on Dino Bravo here tonight!} *COMMERCIAL* -Mid South Wrestling returns with highlights from the Houston Wrestling event this past weekend. We see the encounter between the Fantastics and the German Destroyers. The Baron and Von Hess make their way down to the ring and run down the two pretty boys as they call em. Watts and Ross put both teams over as we cut to the ring. The Fantastics vs The Shadows (Red & Black) -Another fun tag team contest for the Fantastics. They work very well with the Shadows who bump around and feed them everything they need to look great in the ring. Fulton and Rogers have really begun to gel as a tag team and it shows tonight. Red and Black attempt to break things up but it is two much. A wheelbarrow tag team maneuver has got the crowd going wild. The Destroyers are outside the ring just running them through the dirt. A pair of double dropkicks and then a ROCKET LAUNCHER for the 1….2….3!!! Fulton and Rogers look out to the Destroyers and they are welcoming in another fight but nothing doing. The Destroyers walk to the back but out of nowhere Stan Hansen is here and he’s throwing quite the tantrum! Ross and Watts put over the tag title contest from Houston…. *COMMERCIAL* Jim Ross: Fans I am joined by Stan Hansen… Bill Watts has got to the back… we have something happening… Stan Hansen: You damn right something is happening! You better know that big dumb ape Andre the Giant is nowhere to be found! I am calling him out right now! Jim Ross: We know Andre the Giant is here but he isn’t scheduled… Stan Hansen: You write that big goof a letter and tell him Stan Hansen is here and he wants a fight! {Hansen walks away from Ross and gets into the ring and he is twirling around that bull rope! We have got pure chaos as Andre emerges from behind the curtain and Bill Watts is trying to hold him back but Andre pushes him to the ground! The Giant comes down to the ring and Hansen attempts to hit him with the cowbell but misses the first time and then cracks him the second! Andre is busted but it only makes him angrier! He grabs the rope and pulls Hansen over to the ropes and nails him with a big right hand! Andre is nailing him through the ropes as officials come down. They are trying to pull Andre off and Hansen breaks free and goes to the back! Watts is there with Andre and threatens to take him out and he says he wants Hansen! *COMMERCIAL* -Mid South Wrestling returns with Bill Watts in shambles thanks to Andre the Giant. He proclaims that Andre does want a match with Hansen in the Superdome on the 5th of November, but it will be Hansen who must decide if he accepts! Watts and Ross then officially announce that there will be a special showcase match on November the 5th from the Superdome as N.W.A. World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race will be taking on the Masked Superstar! Watts puts over how Superstar is one of the most dangerous men in wrestling and someone who could take the title from Race. Watts and Ross also put over the Midnight Express from Montreal and talk about them being here next week on Mid South Wrestling and what kind of impact they could have on the tag team division. They put over the recent issues with ThunderBolt Patterson and Tiger Chung Lee. Tonight ThunderBolt takes on Mr. Fuji in a rematch from last week, let’s take it to the ring! ThunderBolt Patterson vs Mr. Fuji w/ Tojo & Tiger Chung Lee -This one is chaos from the outset as Tiger won’t get out of the ring for the referee to start the match and now here comes Fuji and it is a double team! These two are wearing down ThunderBolt Patterson something awful as the crowd pops when S.D. Jones comes out! Watts and Ross put over S.D. as a buddy of ThunderBolt and he comes in for the save. We get some fun Texas Tornado action inside the ring before Fuji and Tiger are sent packing. S.D. & ThunderBolt look good here tonight as they work the crowd. We then cut to Watts and Ross who are standing by with the NEW Television Champion, the Magnificent Don Muraco and he isn’t alone! Jim Ross: Ladies and gentlemen we want to bring in the new television champion, Don Muraco and his new manager, Paul Jones. Gentlemen, this was pure chaos over the weekend in Houston and you came out on to… Don Muraco: I came out more than on top you goof. I came out as the unprecedented, undisputed, and undefeatable Television Champion! This title is just a symbol of what excellence is all about Ross! Now you look to my left and this is the man that helped me through that final match! Jim Ross: The “Incomparable” Paul Jones. You were perhaps the last man we expected to see show up in the Mid South area, especially with Don Muraco! Paul Jones: Well you and all these other country bumpkins need to realize that when you have a talent the likes of Don Muraco, you do what you need to make him happy. You see he was in a rut due to all the recent events and he needed to win the biggest match of his life this past week, and I was just the man to help him! Bill Watts: That was still not without controversy. How about Wrestling II flying over the top rope? How about Jones pushing your backside over and you then getting the pinfall? Don Muraco: Details Watts, details. Where is Wrestling II tonight huh? He is sitting in some hospital bed with a bum knee knowing he couldn’t hack it! He knows he couldn’t beat me on his best day and I want to tell the world out there and everyone in the Mid South territory that this title is Don Muraco’s and there is NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE who will take it from me! Bill Watts: Well don’t count your chikcens before they hatch Muraco, because I talked with Wrestling II. He will be here next week and to go along with that, on the 5th in the Superdome, he is going to get his rematch with you and that title is going to be ON THE LINE! Paul Jones: Bill Watts, if you want to be the man who helps end the career of Mr. Wrestling II, that is your single-mindedness… but understand this… on November the 5th, not only will Don Muraco walk out with the gold, but he may walk out with Wrestling II’s dignity and end his career… mark my words! Jim Ross: Well be that as it may folks, we have got a huge main event coming up next, we’ll be right back! *COMMERCIAL* -Watts and Ross return for Mid South Wrestling putting over that big Superdome Extravaganza on November the 5th. They expect more matches to be signed next week, but with JYD vs Dibiase and Muraco vs Wrestling II on the card, but a possibly showdown of Andre and Hansen, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest cards in the history of Mid South! They discuss the big title win of the Samoans again and say that next week we will see a number one contenders one night tournament with the Fantastics taking on the German Destroyers and ThunderBolt Patterson & S.D. Jones taking on Fuji & Tiger Chung Lee. The winners of those matches will face off with the winner going on to face the Samoans in the Superdome! We see Bravo coming out to the ring now…and of course he isn’t alone! Wahoo walks out but he isn’t alone either! He is joined by the JYD but he has someone else… THAT’S BLACKJACK LANZA! Things are heating up as this is an impromptu lumberjack match! MAIN EVENT Wahoo McDaniel vs Dino Bravo -Just a fun back and forth contest with two of the baddest dudes on the block. Bravo and Wahoo try to chop each other down piece by piece! The crowd is hot for Wahoo who has gotten a great ovation from the beginning. He and Bravo do well with the power v power and of course, with Borne and Adonis outside the ring, they are getting some great heat. Watts and Ross wonder what Lanza’s motives are but they say he’s close to Dog and Wahoo. This one has got limited television time remaining and these two guys are pushing every limit to take the other out before the bell rings. Wahoo picks up the pace and he is looking to put Bravo away. We see Adonis try to get involved but then Lanza grabs him but comes crashing down pretty awkwardly and he is grasping his knee! The crowd is in shock right now as JYD comes over and CRACKS Adonis! On the other side of the ring though, Matt Borne has got a roll of quarters in his hand and he just NAILS Wahoo McDaniel and he falls backwards. Bravo covers for the 1…2….3! The camera shot sees Wahoo’s face just COVERED in blood. JYD is checking on him while we have medics checking on Lanza. This doesn’t look good for the Blackjack as he just got out here and now it appears he could be done before he even started! Borne, Bravo, and Adonis all seem pleased. The Road to the Superdome has started, who else will be added to this MONSTER card on November the 5th?! MID SOUTH WRESTLING Presents: Superdome Extraveganza! Live on Saturday November 5th, 1983 from the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP The Junkyard Dog © vs Ted Dibiase NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Harley Race © vs Masked Superstar MID SOUTH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Wrestling II vs Don Muraco © w/ Paul Jones
  19. Awesome stuff from the WWA. I like the big build to the Race vs Guerrero contest. I am also big on the Orton and Slater tag team. They are two solid workers who could put on some special stuff. The Sarge vs Bockwinkel is a great hidden match with two prime time players and of course with Bobby Heenan making his presence known. I also liked to see conclusion of the Funk vs Brisco contest. It was fun to write about in WWF so it was great to see it conclude here. So much talent and some great stuff, keep doing work.
  20. A ton of great contests from the AWA over the last couple of days. Hogan's reign is going to be filled with some big competitors, with an emphasis on the BIG. I have really enjoyed the build of the Road Warriors and without a doubt, they have been sky rocketed to the top, especially in Main Events over Hogan. I also liked the inclusion of Jerry Lawler for his little run. He and Hogan have got some history so this is a nice way to showcase two of the big stars in wrestling right now.
  21. I like the faster pace television show. Easier to read and somewhat easier to understand. You've got a ton of foundational pieces set. My only gripe would be Casey going down clean, but he's going down to Flair, which isn't a bad thing at all. Casey is a commodity right now and he's on the edge of becoming something more than he's ever been in MACW, I am interested to see how you develop him more in the future. Plus we've got the Iron Sheik coming up and like you said for JYD, Flair has got a lot of great competitors coming up.
  22. A couple of pretty big matches here. Bravo has had a nice little cup of coffee so far in Montreal, should be fun to see if he has more in the tank. I did want to put over the format of your shows and the timing. This is a good attention to detail that some of us don't add and it gives you an edge.
  23. Continued success in Montreal with some amazing tag team action. At some point we are going to see the separation and a couple of teams rise to the top while others falter. My bet is obviously on the Express and Rougeuasbut I am not discounting the Can Am and Tongan Terrors.
  24. A simple showcase highlighting some big moments in the week of wrestling. A great piece to set a foundation for the NWA's joint production moving forward.
  25. Jack Carson & Steve King move on from Mid South.
