As was I. Honestly the best show I've ever seen live. Riddle/Strong was the best match I've ever seen live. Darby Allyn getting back body dropped to the floor was the most psychotic bump I've ever seen live. Chuck Taylor becoming a watchable wrestler was the biggest miracle I've ever seen live. Just a great day to reward my faith in pro wrestling Darby is gonna end up in a wheelchair before too long. Besides that nutty back body drop, on both nights he did a trust fall dive off the turnbuckle to the floor, which was just as crazy.

Did anyone catch the Beyond Wrestling iPPV that was on WWN before Evolve 65? A lot of the same talent is working both shows Cedric Alexander-Tommaso Ciampa was kinda meh. Never seen Ciampa before, but he was a little too jokey for me in this, bantering with crowd, etc.

There have been quite a few of them according to Wikipedia, so it's a pretty common homophone pun.

Matt Riddle v Roderick Strong was as great as you'd expect. What more is there to say about Riddle? Dude is amazing. And hopefully we get to see more of Roddy in Evolve.

Evolve 64 on now. Cedric Alexander and Johnny Gargano had a heck of match to open things up, really fast-paced. I wish they'd rely less on the slap the thigh kicks on offense, but what are you going to do? It's 2016.

The Ibushi/Maluta match was good too, even if I didn't really buy that Ibushi was ever going to lose. Really interested in Ibushi/Cedric Alexander in the next round, should be a lot of fun.

Bryan has been great so far, the sports-y feel to the show fits him. The Metalik/Saez match was a lot of fun. Never seen Metalik before, has he done that springboard middle rope running dive before? That was nutty.

Thanks brother!

If OP (or anyone else) would like to, feel free to DM me the channel names of those Mid-South episodes.

Man. Pretty much thought Brock was going to get smoked by Hunt. Especially in round 2, he looked gassed. Brock is one of the most remarkable athletes ever.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
...TG replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
This was certainly remarkable. I don't know if it's necessarily *good*. If I were a smarter, better writer I'd try to outline some parallels between this and the SyFy movie/Sharknado cheapo horror movie aesthetic. Wrestling is always been campy to an extent but I think this is something different I think. -
There's no clear analogue to Shane in the Cowboys universe, though. Both Jerry's sons are heavily involved in the Cowboys organization - Stephen is the personnel guy while Jerry Jr. works on the business end. So there's no HHH either, unless Charlotte's husband is much more involved than I'm aware of.

Looks like it isn't him, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet. Apparently his wife's account is fake as well. It got the blue "verified" check, and had plenty of WWE employees tweeting him. It's too bad, as Twitter would be perfect for him.

6:05 Superpodcast Episode #31: That's Not My Dad
...TG replied to Bix's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Finally finished this. Loved the Polish Joe interview - sounds like working for the AWA in the 80s, while not financially lucrative, was an absolute blast. (My god, to be Curt Hennig in the Twin Cities in the 80s!) Also love hearing from older guys in the business who aren't super-bitter about the way wrestling changed in the post-territory days. Also an interesting perspective on Verne, who usually gets dumped on in shoot interviews and even in Dave's Observer obituary, as a person. -
Right, and Dave is saying that she's very marketable on the main roster right now because of her unique look and gimmick, and they're squandering that potential by keeping her in NXT. But because Dave is Dave and Twitter is Twitter, his point is poorly made and poorly understood.

I'm sure they'll be able to draw 300 fans around central Florida, but without big names, willl they still be able to sell out (or close to it) in Indianapolis or Milwaukee?

Yeah, this has been going on for like two hours and I think it's time to log off wrestling twitter for a while.

Dave said on his podcast that WWE knew before the PPV that he'd be suspended today. That makes booking him on Battleground in a three-way more than a little bizarre.

Is there some sort of clause in Owens' and Zayn's contracts that they have to feud with each other? They have good chemistry but come on.
