  1. This is the hottest main event program I can remember in a while and my head hurts from reading so much "Roman sucks/#LOLROMANWINS" on other sites. It's like the crowds that try to go into business for themselves are the very posters who are driving me bonkers. Too busy trying to be cool to enjoy a man who is doing the best work of his career right now.

    WWE Payback

I enjoyed the heck out of the show. Didn't like the screwjob finish and don't really dig Jericho or Ambrose either one but everything else was good. Really liked the main event, overbooking and all.
  3. I saw this... Unsure on whether or not I want to listen to Flair ramble though. Have you watched it?

    NXT talk

I maintain that one hour is the perfect length for a weekly wrestling show.
  5. Really good segment. I wasn't expecting profanity at all so I can say it had its intended effect I guess.
  6. We did cover arachnids in my entomology class in college, so I guess it CAN fit in there (the joys of a conservation degree). Anyway, I got a good enough laugh out of this rap.
  7. For some reason I wasn't terribly into this match. Maybe I just couldn't buy Zenk as a threat to Flair. The action itself wasn't too bad but for whatever reason it's not a match I really have the desire to watch again.
  8. Just saw this for the first time. Wow, is that crowd something else or what? Really fun match. I'm going to have to find some more Buzz Sawyer stuff as this and the match with Arn are the first I can recall seeing of him and he's impressed me the most so far. Really enjoyed this one and if I were watching it live I'd be sold on the cage match by this point.
  9. Solid enough match. I didn't like this one quite as much as the Arn/Muta match but it wasn't bad by any means. I did like the post-match as it built towards the Clash.
  10. I've decided to start working my way through the NWA stuff and I'll just get this out of the way up front: as I've gotten older, Arn Anderson has more and more become my favorite wrestler. I can't imagine 6 year old me ever saying that, but I digress. I enjoyed this match. It's not the best I've seen by any means but I can say it was worth the 15 or so minutes I spent watching it and ultimately that's what counts.
  11. That's an interesting approach I hadn't thought about taking.
  12. This is pretty much exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for. Thank you so much.
  13. Looking around the forums, I've seen various beginner's guides to different styles of wrestling and they are immensely useful. That got me to wondering if there's some sort of guide to watching wrestling analytically somewhere around. I'm a pretty much lifelong wrestling fan but I don't really have much experience in analyzing what I'm watching. Is there something someone could point me to that gives some tips on getting started in that process? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!
  14. I don't really consider myself knowledgeable enough to make a list but if I did I have to believe Arn would be on there. I've always enjoyed watching him and I can't remember ever seeing a bad Arn match.
  15. Great idea. I've considered doing something similar before and might give it a try myself.
  16. This match wasn't as good as I remembered it being up rewatching it. Pillman was pretty sloppy and it just didn't seem to flow for me. As to Mongo, perhaps I had expectations so low that he managed to meet them. I'm not saying he was by any means good, but he wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting if that makes sense.
  17. Man, I had forgotten all about Pastamania until I watched this last night.
  18. I quite enjoyed Xavier's antics at ringside there.
  19. Pretty good opener in my book. Seemed like it went a little long for me but nothing too bad.
  20. I always try to go into things cautiously optimistic and tonight is no different. I'm looking forward to Cena-Owens and Lesnar-Rollins for sure.
  21. Hey guys, I'm Tyler. I'm a 25 year old guy who grew up as a loyal WCW follower as much as my parents would let me. I've had an in-and-out relationship with wrestling throughout most of my life that leans far more towards the "in" period. I've recently started to branch out and discover more than just the main American wrestling I grew up on and from what I've seen from this board and heard on the podcasts associated with PWO I'm certainly in the right place.
