AWA @ The Roanne Fieldhouse, Memphis TN 11-14-86 Scott "Powerhouse" Putski defeated Spike Huber with a rolling reversal "Number One" Don Kernodle defeated Steve O with a reverse neckbreaker Gold Standard defeated "The Ace" Art Crews and "Diamond" Timothy Flowers w/The Vin Man- Gold Standard hurled Flowers into Vinnie (on the apron) then doubled clotheslined Crews for the pin. Carlos Colon defeated "Iron" Scott McGhee with a flying clothesline from the top rope. After the match, Colon grabbed a kendo stick and put McGhee in the camel clutch with the kendo stick under his chin. Colon is getting nuclear heat until the fans get up and cheer when RICKY STEAMBOAT hits the ring with a kendo stick of his own and whacks Colon's back! Steamboat gets in some hard shots until Colon frantically rolls out of the ring while Security enters the ring. Massive cheers for Steamboat! Intermission El Canek defeated Makhan Singh with a flying shoulder block followed by a senton. Makhan got in some hard hitting offense but Canek prevailed and is ready for his showdown with Giant Haystacks. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and Billy Jack Haynes w/ Ox Baker battled to a wild Double DQ. Ox tried to interfere but a jumping headbutt by Snuka stopped that. Snuka and Billy fought outside the ring for a few more minutes. Jerry "The King" Lawler, The Rock n Roll Express and "Lonestar" Brian Adias defeated National Champ Austin Idol, The Fabulous Ones and Curt Hennig- The fans get 45 minutes of thrilling action. The finish happens during a pier six brawl. Hennig and Adias are trading blows. The Ref is distracted by RnR and The Fabs battling on the outside. Idol brings a chair into the ring and goes towards Lawler. Lawler kicks Idol low, grabs the chair and whacks Idol over the head! Ref turns around and counts 1..2..3!

Tis the season for Starrcade! Nikita might be the most intimidating man in the NWA but an open challenge match might backfire. Savage vs. Tully, winner faces Reed at Starrcade for the NWA world title! I'm sold. OH SNAP! WarGames is back! This is absolutely the only way to end this well built feud. Flair vs. Race, one more time! To Charlotte, Radiance is building up some nice heat. Damn, an Air Africa from the apron! I think Kamala has put an end to Vachon. WarGames is heating up as the Renegade Warriors throw their name in the hat. Love the continuity from Amarillo. Wright works his magic and gets his team the win. I wish I could've seen Foley's face. Tully earns his world title shot the hard way by going 3 falls with Savage. The fans were lucky to witness a classic like this. Reed vs. Tully is very intriguing. Good job building up Starrcade.

Sawyer and Borne are so awesome together. The walkaway was great. Their match with Spoiler and Red is going to be brutal! Speaking of brutal. Islanders want more of the Cartel. I have a feeling this is going to be crazier than what went down in Texas. LOL! Tatum goes back to get a last crack at Gordon. What an arrogant jerk but so funny. Only the Fabulous Blondes could ruin Gordon doing the cabbage patch. The moment of awkward silence was hilarious. But in the end, mission accomplished as the Blondes get a title shot. Cartel get straight to the point and make their intentions known. They even slip Gordon a hundred dollar bill, maybe they're not such bad guys. Very creative idea for Battle of the Bay match. I hope Herc and Duggan are on the same team LOL. HAHAHA! We get the ultimate Bob Backlund tease! Keep us guessing Bleh. Bring on St. Petersburg!

Velvet is on the roll of a lifetime as she continues her reign as TV champ. Nice show of sportsmanship as well. Hot tag match with the cheaters prevailing. Oh man, I wonder what happened to Moretti? Clearly it took a toll as she drops the titles to Babyface. The dominant reign of Moretti ends. Looking forward to Babyface's run. Exciting show!

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-12-86 Lance Russell: Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of AWA Major League Wrestling. In action tonight will be, Nick Bockwinkle, Larry Zbyszko and Al Perez, Ron Garvin, Brian Adias, Richard Charland and Gino Brito Jr., Jimmy Snuka and Cabin Fever in 6 man action. 8 man tag match as The Olympians team with Lightning Strike to take on The Union and Karachi Vice. Vin Man's Kerry Brown will go head to head with Blackjack Mulligan. All that plus AWA World Champ Ricky Steamboat will be in the ring. Fans, SuperClash is just 2 weeks away and on that night you'll see Austin Idol defend the National title against Jerry Lawler with No DQ, No C.O. stipulations added. Right now I wanted to get a word with the National Champ himself, Austin Idol. "Do you want touch me" by Joan Jett blasts over the speakers. Idol stands in front of Lance and gives a double bicep pose to the camera. Idol's neck is still bandaged from the fireball incident a few weeks ago. Idol: You know something Lance, each and everyday, I have to look in the mirror and I'm reminded of what a sick animal Jerry "The Loser" Lawler is. Lance: Hold on just a second Idol, you were the one who brought the fire into the match in the first place. Lawler was just defending himself. Idol: Look at you Lance, always sticking up for your best friend Lawler. None of that matters anyways. Even though my neck is burnt, I'm still way better looking than that ugly Lawler. Nobody wants to see his ugly face here anymore. Oh and did you see the way I put a dent in his ugly face at the Rupp Arena last weekend? (laughs) Lance: Yea sure, I saw it and I saw the brass knuckles you used. Idol: There you go again Lance, always making excuses for golden boy Lawler. Lawler! That was nothing compared to what's coming... The fans go crazy as Lawler comes out in street clothes and tackles Idol in front of the podium! Lance gets out of there as Lawler punches away on Idol! Idol kicks Lawler off and tries to run but Lawler grabs him and hurls Idol into the ring. Lawler swings Idol to the ropes and back drops him. Idol staggers up and Lawler puts him down with a big right punch. Lawler swings Idol into the corner and charges but Idol sticks up his knees as Lawler hits them head on. Idol regroups and stomps away on Lawler. Idol hurls Lawler out of the ring. Idol swings Lawler towards the steel post but Lawler reverses it and swings Idol into it. Finally, officials come out to back Lawler off. Commercial Break "The Wrecking Machine" Richard Charland and Gino Brito Jr. vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Brito clotheslines Dutro down and tags in Charland. Charland finishes things off with an inverted piledriver. Boos as they head to ringside. Resnick: Ok, as everybody knows at SuperClash there will be a tag team battle royal. The winners will not only receive 100,000 dollars but will also get a world tag team title shot later that night. These two men standing with me will be in that battle royal. Brito: Resnick, first of all, you should be congratulating me on my triumphant return to the ring after some time away. But lets talk facts. You're looking at two men who will not only be a lot richer at SuperClash but will also be walking away with the world tag titles. And that my friend is a fact! As they walk away, Charland bumps Resnick. Commercial Break "Rugged" Ron Garvin vs. Trent Watkins Garvin wins the match with a KO right punch! Resnick: Ron Garvin, you made the challenge and Bockwinkle accepted. The two of you will meet at SuperClash. After watching you in the ring, I would say you're very well prepared to face one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Garvin: Nick Bockwinkle is one of the greatest and that's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to stepping in the ring with him at SuperClash. However, Bockwinkle has been running his mouth about the lack of competition here in the AWA. I told Bockwinkle we both have something to prove. I want a world title shot just as bad as he does and at SuperClash I'm going to prove I'm sufficient competition and I'm going to win the match. Commercial Break The Olympians and Lightning Strike vs. The Union and Karachi Vice It's hyped up on commentary that all 4 teams will be involved in the SuperClash Tag Team Battle Royal. Pretty fun and fast paced match with everybody showing their stuff. Lightning Strike brings the high octane offense. Kazmaier brings the power while Rheingans changes things up with his technical skills. Union come back with some high impact moves as well. Karachi Vice are the ruthless ones here. Of course things are going to get crazy in an 8 man tag. All 8 men end up in a pier six brawl. The Ref loses control and signals for the bell. A DOUBLE DQ. The fight doesn't stop as it goes into battle royal mode. Allen hits a flying press on Gama that sends them both over the top rope. Makhan clotheslines Horner from behind over the top rope. Makhan turns around and gets clotheslined over the top by Kaz. Ross sends Kaz over the top with a combat kick! Rheingans back drops Huber over the top. Ross charges at Rheingans and Rheingans back drops him over the top rope! Bodies are all over the outside as a commercial hits. Commercial Break Resnick: My goodness! After watching that, I can't imagine what the SuperClash tag team battle royal will look like. Switching gears. Fans, over the past couple months we've seen the two top teams in wrestling battle in a best of 7 series. I'm talking about the Rock n Roll Express and Fabulous Ones. After what happened at the Rupp Arena, that series is now tied at 3 apiece. The 7th match will take place at SuperClash. Please welcome out the Rock n Roll Express. Massive pop as RnR slap hands with the guys and hug the gals. Resnick; Ricky and Robert, you guys beat the odds and came back to tie it. I would think momentum is in your favor. Robert: Yea, it feels pretty good Ken. Now we're looking to put this away at SuperClash. Ricky: Oh yea baby! Never count RnR out! Fabs, you underestimated us and now we're even steven. Come SuperClash, Robert and myself are going to show you boys just who the better team is! WHOO! Commercial Break "Lonestar" Brian Adias vs. Todd Rooney Adias slams Rooney down, picks him up and hits a Russian Leg Sweep for the win! Resnick: Brian Adias, we all know the history between you and your former partner Curt Hennig. Will this get settled at SuperClash? Adias: You know last week, Hennig caught me with a low blow and got the pin on me. Hey, no excuses, at SuperClash I will settle this with my own flavor of Texas justice. Hennig! You can count on that! Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the glowing "SuperClash" sign then pans down to Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody and welcome to another SuperClash update hosted by yours truly. On November 26th at the St. Paul Civic Center, you will see 14 All-Star matches. Kicking off the event will be recording sensation Linda Ronstadt singing the National Anthem. I'm still wondering why I wasn't asked to do that but I'm sure she will do pretty good. One of the matches I wanted to focus on tonight is the Tornado handicap match as Jimmy Snuka and Cabin Fever, yuck, will take on Billy Jack, the Beasts of Burden and Ox Baker. Let's hear from Ox and his gang right now. Ox, Billy and The Beasts are standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Ox: Last week that Ape Jimmy Snuka and his goons Cabin Fever came back from the dead and violently attacked us! You boys want to get violent? We wrote the book on that! Don't forget it was us who put you out of commission! It was us who left you in a pool of your own blood! And it will be us who ends your careers at SuperClash! Britton: Oh my, those guys are scary. Snuka and Cabin Fever are doomed. Another match will be the battle of former AWA world tag team champions between Curt Hennig and Brian Adias. Let's hear from Curt. Curt is standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Hennig: Brian, I always knew you weren't as awesome as me and I think everyone else saw that as well. At SuperClash, you're going to be stepping in the ring with a man who makes no mistakes. A man who wont make an error. I'm a gifted wrestler and will show you and the world that at SuperClash. Britton: He's so cool. Another big match everybody is talking about is the tag team battle royal. I keep hearing all the buzz about Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami. You know, I have to say, does it really matter who wins? Sure they get 100 Grand but is that worth the embarrassment of being humiliated later on by the champs Priceless? I think not. Well, that does it for this week. I'll be back next week for one final update, until then, toooodles. Commercial Break Nick Bockwinkle vs. Sam Smith Bock gives Smith a wrestling lesson tonight and wins the match with an Indian Deathlock. Resnick: Nick, you saw Ron Garvin in action earlier. I'm sure you scouted him well. Bock: Everybody has been asking me if I'm taking Ron Garvin lightly and looking past him. One might think that. However, nothing could be further from the truth. I want nothing more than a world title shot and to do that I must defeat Ron Garvin. So right now, the order of business is to defeat Garvin and move on to bigger things. If that means I'm calling Mr. Garvin a stepping stone, so be it. Commercial Break Larry Z and Al Perez vs. Arnie Goldstein and Warren Coolidge Perez hits the Helicopter spin then tags in Larry, who finishes things off with a spinning neckbreaker. Resnick: It's now official, the two of you will face the Bruise Brothers at SuperClash in the tournament finals for the National Tag Team Titles. Perez: Get real Resnick, look at us. Do you really think those two chumps stand a chance? Larry: I couldn't of made a more valid point. Resnick, you and all these spudheads are looking at the National tag team champs. We're a well oiled machine. They're a team comprised of a no talented muscle head and a washed up has been with a bum knee. Those titles are ours. Commercial Break Jimmy "Superfly Snuka and Cabin Fever vs. Willam Hillman, Roy Glader and Clinton Stitch Grizzly mows Hillman and Glader down with a bulldozer shoulder block. Fernandez hits the flying burrito on Stich and Snuka follows with the Superfly Splash for the win! Snuka looks in the camera and says "Ox! We're coming for you brotha!" Commercial Break Blackjack Mulligan vs. "Pitbull" Kerry Brown w/Vin Man Nothing pretty as these guys just pound away on each other. Mulligan gets the upper hand and that's Vinnie's cue to hop on the apron. Mulligan grabs Vinnie by his collar and holds him in the air. Vinnie's legs are shaking as he pleads for mercy. Brown gets up and nails Mulligan with a high knee to the back. Brown controls the next segment with stomps, slams, elbow drops and choking. Brown swings Mulligan to the ropes but Mulligan ducks the clothesline, comes back and clotheslines Brown down. Mulligan is all over Brown. Mulligan picks up Brown and slams him down, the picks him up again and slams him down with authority! Vinnie stupidly gets on the apron again and Mulligan runs over and punches him off. Mulligan picks up Brown and swings him around but Brown's boot hits the Ref as Mulligan slams him down. Boos as Paul Jones and Dream Machine hit the ring with a bull rope (cowbell attached) Mulligan knocks Jones down but Dream nails Mulligan with the cowbell! Mulligan goes down and is bleeding. Dream picks up Mulligan. Jones staggers up. Him and Dream swing Mulligan to the ropes and clothesline him down with the bull rope! Mulligan is lying there in a bloody mess. Dream and Jones exit. Brown gets up and drops a big elbow on Mulligan as the Ref crawls over and counts 1..2..3! Vinnie staggers in and hugs Brown. Jones and Dream come back in. All 4 laugh and look down at Mulligan. They all put the boots to him. Wild cheers as JERRY BLACKWELL hits the ring with a chair! He swings away as everybody runs out of there. Blackwell manages to nail Brown across the back with the chair which sends Brown flying out of the ring. Blackwell checks on Mulligan. Vin helps Brown up as they glare up at Blackwell, who's glaring right back. Commercial Break AWA World Champ Ricky Steamboat vs. Chris Richards Steamboat looks great tonight as he takes Richards over with several arm drags. Steamboat hits a vertical suplex, then goes to the top rope. Richards staggers up as Steamboat hits the flying press for the win! Resnick: Ricky Steamboat, come on over. I know the last month has been an emotional ride for you. At SuperClash, you face Carlos Colon for the world title. You look physically ready, are you emotionally and mentally ready? Steamboat: If you told me a few months ago, all this with Carlos would be happening, I would of called you crazy. Carlos, at SuperClash... WHAM! Carlos nails Steamboat from behind with a kendo stick! Steamboat is on his knees as Colon whacks him again across the back. Resnick: What the hell is wrong with you Carlos?! Colon: (Rage in his eyes) You know how many times I was hit with one of these? You don't! It is to much to count! But did you ever ask how I was doing after being hit with this? No! Steamboat slowly gets back to his knees as Colon hits him again Colon snatches the mic from Resnick and looks down at Steamboat. Colon: At SuperClash, you and all these people will respect me! Colon hits Steamboat again with the kendo stick! Officials and wrestlers run out to stop this as the show goes off air. AWA presents SuperClash Friday, November 26th St. Paul Civic Center, also available on closed circuit TV National Anthem sung by Linda Ronstadt AWA World Title Bout Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (C) vs. Carlos Colon AWA World Tag Team Title Bout Priceless (C) vs. Winners of the Tag Team Battle Royal AWA National Title Bout- NO DQ, NO C.O. Yet another fun Mid Atlantic loop. Spartanburg Vice gets some payback on Red Tide for that time Red Tide beat them and buried the Russian flag on them. Barbarian better be ready because I'm sure Wahoo wont let that interference slide. DAMN! Savage and Race vs. Tully and Flair in the cage! Awesome! Now we're going to get Flair/Race! Gaylord picks up another big win, this time over Warlord. Posse win a round against Brutha's. Great heat filled match to end the night. Spivey vs. Link has the potential to be one crazy hard hitting feud. The fans get to see a wild match between Road Warriors and Spectral Hand.

Right now I believe every word Slick says. Slick Stable, what a name! Billy Joe might be in big trouble. Starr Corporation is back! Can you imagine looking across the ring and seeing Khan and Abby. When Dusty is low key, he's serious. Chicky better be ready. Starrcade! Can't wait! I think big things are in store for Doug Furnas. Oh no, Street has a bounty on his head. Former ally Stomper wants to collect. Sherri introduces Starr Power on the Fiesta Garden. Madril asking Lance if they've met cracked me up. I'm still laughing from the last time Lance was on the Fiesta Garden. I'm not sure Chicky is going to let the Starr name slide. Dirty White Boy returns and gets the lucky draw. Luck runs out as Taylor retains. Maybe the Great Gagne will sneak his name in LOL. Tommy is more pissed at his cousins than the Bullet. Johnny and Davey better watch their backs. Wild Bill reunites with his old Texas alumni and helps them beat the Nightmares. To the Expo Hall, I knew Tommy wouldn't waste any time. Thanks to him, Sherri's new team has a successful debut. It's going to be hard collecting the bounty on Street. Just ask Stomper. Jr. title match gets extended time and the champ prevails over a game Cobra. Good night for Sherri. Well, Brad gets the win but ends up on a stretcher. Brad needs eyes in the back of his head. Looks like Dundee has found a friend in Bullet. Thank goodness. Once again, Slick follows through on his words as Fuller and Golden defeat the Nightmares for the titles! Olympia and JYD win the battle but I'm sure Chicky isn't finished with the war. So much good stuff happening in Continental.

Simmons takes down Orton as he prepares for Hansen. With a title shot coming up, Gator and Mega Man look more than ready. Damn! Wild Bulls send a message to Iron and Steel by sending the Thundercats out of Pacific. Big Bubba has looked unstoppable. I hope Rose is compensating Easy Ed for all the punishment he's been taking. I have a bad feeling about Bigelow. Wow, Brian put Chris down hard. Hart's are looking solid while Badd Co. needs to get their mojo back. Pillman and Owen are in synch but Smothers and Hollywood Jack are not. Candido and Snow might of had enough.

AWA takes JT Southern and drop out

Precious found out that Watts always gets to the bottom of things. RPMs continue to get the heat. LOL! Classic Ladd paying his fine in pennies. This cracked me up. What can I say, Butch Reed is the man! I'm still enjoying the Yankees gimmicks. Champion pays the price of trying to go at it alone. Man, Ladd must of cleaned the bank out of their pennies. It took a chair shot and a fast count by Fergie to put Casey down but the Freebirds get the W. Andersons retain. I have a feeling there's going to be some friction between Dibiase and Williams. Didn't see that ending coming as Reed helps Murdoch get the title shot. Even though they're both fan favorites, Reed and Murdoch will give the fans a fight.

The fans in Raleigh got their money's worth with that action packed tournament. I liked that all the teams are so evenly matched. I was pulling for the Brutha's in Arms but it's all good because their storyline with the Hangmen continues. Commonwealth and Rockers make it to the finals. I thought the Rockers would pull it out but thanks to Foley, the Commonwealth are now US tag champs. How fitting LOL. Foley is really going to rub it in now. Speaking of Foley, doesn't look like Wright is to keen on him. What a brawl between Luger and friends vs. Spectral Hand. I hope we get a gimmick match at Starrcade. Good job AD!

AWA @ The Rupp Arena, Lexington KY 11-6-86 "The British Bomber" Dave Taylor defeated A Local Talent with a running forearm smash off the ropes. Lightning Strike (Tim Horner and Jerry Allen) defeated The Thunderfoots when Horner atomic dropped Thunderfoot #2 into a missile dropkick from Allen "Number One" Don Kernodle defeated Steve O with a reverse neckbreaker The Olympians and The Union battled to a Double C.O. "The Wrecking Machine" Richard Charland w/Gino Brito Jr. defeated "Iron" Scott McGhee when Brito raked McGhee's eyes and he stumbled into an inverted piledriver by Charland National Champ Austin Idol, Nick Bockwinkle and The Dream Machine w/Paul Jones defeated Jerry "The King" Lawler, Blackjack Mulligan and "Rugged" Ron Garvin- These guys give the fans 20 minutes of hard hitting action. Wild pier six brawl ensues. Mulligan and Dream fight on the outside as Jones attacks Mulligan with the bull rope. Garvin chops away on Bock in the corner with the Ref watching them. Idol nails Lawler with a pair of brass knuckles. The Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOO Match 6 of the best of 7 series- Fabs lead 3-2 Rock n Roll Express vs. The Fabulous Ones Another tag team classic with the tide turning several times. At the 45 minute mark, the Ref is guiding Morton back to the corner while Gibson has Lane in a cradle. Keirn runs in and reverses the cradle. The Ref sees Keirn and guides him back while Morton runs in and reverses Lane's cradle. The Ref turns around and counts 1..2..3! Huge pop! Keirn charges in but Morton tackles him and unloads with punches. Lane gets up and goes after Morton but Gibson tackles him and punches away. They give the fans another few minutes of brawling before wrestlers come out to break it up. The Series is tied 3-3! Match 7 will take place at SuperClash!

What a way to kick things off as Woman, Man and Luscious have arrived in Florida! Oh man I know Gordon must be thrilled LOL. This is going to be to much fun. Glamour Boys proved they can fight fire with fire against the Highwaymen. 2 out of 3 falls...YES! Another blockbuster surprise as the one and only "El Jefe" is back in good hands. Tremendous segment as Estrada buys out Humperdink and then instructs the Cartel to break Perez's arm. The Cartel is back and Florida better watch out! The Sabu build has been fantastic. The presence of Akbar and Sheik does so much. Akbar is the best at explanations. Maybe Duggan is clumsier than we thought. Tom Zenk comes in with an impressive debut. Battle at the Bay! Whatever the details are, I know it's going to be epic. I'm so excited for more Spoiler/Texas Red- Sawyer/Borne matches. I can't imagine what's next. Oh snap! Bob Backlund is coming to Florida! Are we getting All-American wrestler Bob or crazy insane Mr. Backlund??? Next week is a must see. Keep on rock'n Bleh!
-
The fans get a nice Halloween Havoc recap. Back before pay per view, I couldn't wait for the follow up TV show from a huge card to see what happened. Awesome promo from the Andersons. I like how Arn put over the US titles. Radiance wants some gold. Roma is such a good fit here. Link and Sullivan were meant for each other. Interesting scenario with Foley, Wright and Benoit. Spivey's powerbomb is devastating! The US tag tournament is stacked! I have to admit, I'm pulling for Whatley and Conway. WOW, nice win for Spartanburg Vice over Powers of Pain. Another great week in MACW. Looking forward to Starrcade!
-
Velvet's stock has really gone up during her TV title run. She'll get even more attention aligning with Medusa to go after the Monsters. The Medusa/Monsters storyline has been outstanding. Episodic television at its best. Nasty Girls up their game and after that outing might be in title contention. Nice booking with the 6 woman main event. Faces send the fans home happy. I knew Richter would be pissed at Kai LOL.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-5-86 Lance Russell: Hello again everybody and welcome to another edition of AWA Major League Wrestling. SuperClash is upon us and Brenda Britton will host another update. National Tag Team Title tournament semi final match as the Bruise Brothers take on Karachi Vice. Also in action will be Ox Baker's Beasts of Burden and Billy Jack Haynes, Scott Putski, The Dream Machine, El Canek, Jerry Lawler and Carlos Colon. Big main event as Vin Man's Family teams with Curt Hennig to take on Brian Adias, Gold Standard and Crusher Blackwell. That and so much more, so lets go to the ring as the King kicks things off. Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Todd Rooney Lawler gets the fans up and cheering as he bounces up and down on the middle ropes and crashes down with a fist drop for the win! Resnick: Jerry Lawler, at SuperClash, it's you and Austin Idol in a NO DQ, NO C.O. match for the National title. I know it was a long road but here you are. Lawler: Idol threw everything he could at me including a fireball but he failed miserably. With these stipulations, I can do whatever I want to Idol and he can't run away and take the easy way out. At SuperClash, Idol's going down and the National title is going around my waist. Commercial Break The Thunderfoots vs. Jay Ricketts and Ernie Ellis It's announced during commentary that the Thunderfoots will be competing in the SuperClash tag team battle royal. Thunderfoot #1 loads his boot as Thunderfoot #2 body slams Ricketts. Thunderfoot #2 tags in #1. Ricketts gets to his knees as Thunderfoot #1 kicks him in the head with the loaded boot for the pin! Commercial Break Scott "Powerhouse" Putski vs. Vic Dutro Putski gets things done and wins the match with a powerslam! Resnick: Scott Putski, tremendous opportunity at SuperClash when you meet Greg Gagne for the TV title. You've already scored a pin and c.o. victories over him so you must be feeling pretty good. Putski: I'm feeling great Ken and I can tell you I've never been more focused in my life... Boos as Gagne and Johnny V stroll out. Gagne is decked out in his best golf clothes with sweater around his neck along with his Gatsby hat. Johnny: Listen up Punkski! My main man has come out here to give you a reality check. Gagne: (holds up his TV title) This right here proves that I am the greatest wrestler on TV. Yea, you must be on cloud 9 right now. I mean you got a couple fluke wins over the Great Gagne. Hey, anybody would want to brag about that unbelievable accomplishment. But let me clue you in on something Punkski. When this title is on the line, when it really matters, the Great Gagne will prevail. I'm the legend here and you're still a green horned punk, who still has a lot to learn. But you hang in there kid. Gagne gives Putski a couple light slaps on the cheek. Putski pushes Gagne and Gagne falls backwards as the fans cheer and laugh. Johnny V is stunned and goes to help Gagne up and take him out of there. Putski looks at the ground and picks up Gagne's Gatsby hat. Putski puts it on and pumps his fist to the cheering crowd. Commercial Break National Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final Match The Bruise Brothers vs. Karachi Vice Things get hard hitting pretty quick when Karachi Vice attacks the Bruise Brothers at the bell. The Ref shows a lot of leniency as both teams go toe to toe. Snowman slams Gama to the mat with authority. Makhan picks up Cash for a body slam. Snowman pushes Cash's back as Makhan staggers and falls over Gama with Cash on top 1..2..3! WOW! Huge pop! The Bruise Brothers advance to the finals at SuperClash! Commercial Break Billy Jack and The Beasts of Burden w/Ox Baker vs. Sam Smith, Willie Lopez and Ray Glader Total destruction! Beasts clothesline Glader and Lopez off the apron. They swing Smith to the ropes and hit stereo big boots to the head! Billy Jack picks up Smith and clamps on the full nelson as the Ref quickly signals for the bell. Billy continues to hold Smith as Ox gets in the ring. Ox puts Smith down with the heart punch! Ox tells Billy to pick him up again. The Ref is warning him but the Beasts shove the Ref down. The crowd explodes as Jimmy Snuka and Cabin Fever hit the ring! Fists are flying! Snuka grabs Billy and Ox and knocks their heads together. Both men tumble through the ropes. Grizzly sends Nord through the ropes with a running shoulder block. Manny sends Morgan bouncing out of the ring with the flying burrito! The fans are on their feet cheering as Snuka and Cabin Fever stand tall. Commercial Break Resnick: My goodness that was something else. Snuka and Cabin Fever look to be more than ready for their handicap tornado match at SuperClash! Switching gears, as you all know the Rock n Roll Express and Fabulous Ones have been involved in a best of 7 series. The Fabs now hold a 3-2 lead. Match 6 takes place this weekend at the Rupp Arena. Coming out now are the Fabulous Ones. Keirn: Resnick! You and all these people can rest assured the Fabs are putting this series away this weekend! Resnick: I'm not so sure. The Rock n Roll Express have been hanging tough and... Lane: Stop right there! The Fabs don't choke. Those Fab wannabes might think they can come back but we've always been one step ahead. Keirn: Resnick, if you're smarter than you look you better bet on the Fabs. Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the glowing "SuperClash" sign then pans down to Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody and welcome to another SuperClash update with yours truly. Oh my SuperClash is the talk of the wrestling world and I would have to say, I'm a large part of that. I mean I'm the one bringing you all the biggest scoops. For instance, last week I'm the one who announced the huge signing of Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami. Who by the way will be competing in the 100,000 dollar tag team battle royal. The winners will also receive a world tag title shot later that night. I think the winners will have to be satisfied with the money because my favorite team Priceless is walking out of SuperClash with the titles. Speaking of the champs, let's hear from them right now. I believe they're on location at one of Gerry's private beaches. Priceless are sitting on the beach wearing sunglasses and being massaged by some beautiful woman. There's a beach attendant in front of them shining their tag team titles. Wells: Gerry, I wonder what all the poor people are doing today? Morrow: Hahahaha! Who cares. George, you know what strikes me funny? At SuperClash all those inferior teams will fight it out for a shot at our prestigious titles. Wells: As if they have a chance. Morrow: Exactly. While they are fighting we can just sit back and relax. Dis will be de easiest money we've ever made. Enough about dat. Morrow snaps his fingers and tells one of the woman to break open a bottle of champagne. The segment ends with Priceless toasting to a SuperClash victory. Britton: (Smiling) I love those guys! Another match signed for SuperClash is the special challenge match between Iceman Parsons and Don Kernodle. Last week we heard Number One's reasons on why he challenged Parsons. Right now lets here from the Iceman. Parsons is standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Parsons: Don Kernodle, I have no idea what your problem is with me but brother I am more than willing to settle whatever dispute you have in the ring. I heard you call'n me a clown and a dancing fool. Yea, I like to bring the energy and have a good time but when that bell rings I'm all business. At SuperClash you're going to find that out! Britton: We'll see who's the better man come SuperClash. It all goes down on Friday November 26th from the St. Paul Civic Center. And don't forget, singing the national anthem will be a star almost as big as me, Linda Ronstadt. What a night it will be. Until next week toooodles. Commercial Break El Canek vs. Arnie Goldstein Canek amazes the fans with both his technical skills and high flying maneuvers. Canek then shows off his power as he presses Goldstein over his head and into a backbreaker for the win! There's a commotion as Giant Haystacks walks out. Haystacks walks around the ring staring up at Canek. Canek pumps his fists and invites Haystacks in the ring. Haystacks slowly climbs the steps and enters the ring. The fans cheer as Canek and Haystacks stare each other down. Haystacks lets out a roar and charges! Both men throw bombs at each other. Several officials and prelim wrestlers hit the ring to break it up. Both Haystacks and Canek are tossing bodies around. They start hitting each other again. More wrestlers and security hit the ring. A commercial hits while bodies are flying everywhere. Commercial Break Austin Idol is standing in front of a SuperClash banner with the National title on his shoulder. His neck is bandaged up. Idol: Lawler! I will never forgive you for what you did! Look at my neck! At SuperClash I'm going to pull out every dirty trick I have and unleash it on you! You don't have the advantage here! I do! I'm going to make sure you never show your ugly face in the AWA again! The Dream Machine w/Paul Jones vs. Neil Jordan Dream puts Jordan down with a back elbow smash and follows with a jumping elbow drop for the win! Jones tosses Dream the bull rope. Dream wraps it around Jordan's neck and chokes him. Jones runs in and gives Jordan a few kicks for the fun of it. Resnick: Paul Jones, Dream Machine. Why do that? What's the point? Jones: The point, you idiot is to give Blackjack Mulligan a message! That old washed up fool thinks he's going to beat Dream in the bull rope match and get a 5 minute bull rope match with me! That will never happen Mulligan! Never! Never! Never! Resnick: Ok, calm down. Dream: Shut up Resnick! Mulligan, no way in hell you're getting through me at SuperClash! You saw what I'm capable of doing with this here bull rope and at SuperClash I'm going to beat you at your own game. That's a fact babay! Don't worry about a thing Paul. Commercial Break Crusher Blackwell, Gold Standard and "Lonestar" Brian Adias vs. "Diamond" Tim Flowers, "Ace" Art Crews, "Pitbull" Kerry Brown and Curt Hennig w/Vin Man Wild 8 man tag that goes back and forth several times. Chaos ensues as Brown and Blackwell fight on the outside. Kelly and Crews fight in the corner. Kiniski and Flowers fight in the opposite corner. Adias back drops Hennig. Vinnie gets on the apron and rakes Kiniski's eyes. Adias runs over and knocks Vinnie off the apron. Hennig sneaks up from behind and lowblows Adias, then cradles him as the Ref turns around, runs over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOO! Commercial Break Carlos Colon vs. William Hillman Colon is very aggressive tonight and gives Hillman a beating. Colon wins the match with a flying clothesline from the top rope. Massive boos for Colon. Resnick: Carlos Colon, tensions are at an all time high as SuperClash approaches. You and Ricky Steamboat for the AWA world title. I should point out that Ricky Steamboat is back on track and will be in action next week. Colon: How dare you! This is my time and you bring up Ricky Steamboat! Maybe I should teach you a lesson in respect that your parents never taught. Colon walks angrily towards Resnick. Resnick sets the mic on the apron and takes off. Colon grabs the mic. Colon: Steamboat! Look into my eyes! I have never been more focused in my life. I told you that I have learned if you want something around here you just have to take it. I want the AWA world title and at SuperClash I will take it! You can't stop me Steamboat! You don't have what it takes. The past two years I have fought wars with the most vicious savages in the world. I am ready! You can not handle what is coming. You have no idea what your dealing with. You will be defeated! Fun set of spot shows. These were the perfect places for guys like Furnas, Starr and New Breed to showcase themselves. Big win for Taylor over Bass to retain his TV title. However, Slick continues to prove his worth as he helps Dutch beat the TV champ in a non title match. Johnny and Davey continue to be thorns for Wildfire. Even though they came up short, always good seeing the Grapplers in action.

Looking forward to seeing what the British Magician can do in Mid Atlantic. Good seeing Bassarab racking up wins. I enjoyed writing for him and loved his work in Stampede. Renegade Warriors continue their hot streak. Posse get the best of the Brutha's this round. Bart and Link is one hell of a fight! Luger found the right partner with Wahoo to battle the Spectral Hand.

I knew Cobra would give Prichard some trouble. Maybe next time we'll get an extended time limit. Damn, Billy Joe starts things off by whacking Brad over the head with his guitar. He's started something big here, messing with the Armstrong's. Things get more interesting as Madril interferes and takes out Street. Grappler gets the shot. Madril is pretty good with those brass knuckles as he gets his money back. Cooley makes the most of the axe handle and puts down Jason. Well, Tommy tried but couldn't dodge the Bullet tonight. Cousin Rich's get some payback as does Bullet. Can't wait to see what Wildfire does next. They don't call him Dirty Dutch for nothing. I'm sure Dundee will find some friends quick. Madril tries again but Street puts a stop to it as Olympia DDTs his way over Grappler. Sherri doesn't like to lose! Another big Continental swerve! Slick is a mastermind. The new Stud Stable is going to rule Continental. I can't wait for more Landel/Slick conversations. Pure Gold! It amazes me that you can put out huge cards like this week after week.

Thank you Pacific for signing a personal dream match with St. Clair vs. Muta at Battleground. TNT is taking Pacific by storm! Owen and Snow get a chance to showcase all their talent and give the fans a classic. With that win over the Guerreros, the Odd Couple defiantly have the momentum. Windham looks focused and ready for Rose. Windham vs. Rose has potential to be a match of the year candidate.

I couldn't wait for this show and man did it deliver! The AWA has Linda Ronstadt coming in and tonight the NWA scores a young Whitney. Nice touch. That 1st round was filled with the best of the best. Reed defeating Dibiase and Flair winning the battle of the Nature Boys were highlights. That Savage/Snake match is ring psychology at its best. Tully gets over on Harley, thanks to Baby Doll. Bad News and Murdoch eliminate each other. Olympia defeats fellow fan favorite BA and a handshake follows. Nikita with a devastating finish on Taylor. And of course that hated Tommy Rich advances. STARRCADE is coming! A Thanksgiving tradition. Savage and Tully are out. Tommy is bringing the heat. OH SNAP! Reed takes down tournament favorite Ric Flair! Pretty Paul helps his man Embry retain. Downtown is going to want some payback. Reed is on a roll! Damn, he took out Nikita. Tommy gets a heel heated bye. What a classy guy giving the fans a heartfelt promo like that. Andersons are the new NWA World Champs! They backed up all the talk. Bad night for Dibiase. I wonder if there will be friction between him and Williams after that finish. Reed vs. Rich for all the marbles. I loved this because Reed is one of the most loved and over faces in the game while Tommy has got to be the most hated and despised heel in the game. 3 spears later and Reed is the NEW NWA world champ! That is one satisfying ending. Reed deserves this and I can't wait to watch his run. Congratulations Butch Reed! Awesome job NWA!

I wish Madril a speedy recovery but hey we're going to get the Exotic Garden tonight. Dundee and Dutch promise one more match with the Stud Stable before moving on. Speaking of the Stud Stable, Col Slick has arrived and is totally all up in his new gimmick. Fullers and Golden's reactions were priceless. This is going to be so entertaining! YES!!!! The New Breed is coming! I got chills hearing the Beastie Boys. Man, this brings back memories. 2002 baby! Grappler promises to win the 4 corners match and take down Olympia. Once again, that is the best 1st round matches I've ever seen lined up in a tournament. Bullet thinks he has the advantage over Wildfire but Tommy always has a plan. Sherri says her Super Ds will be champs and Prichard will retain. IDK, Prichard will have his hands full with Cobra and never underestimate the Nightmares. LOL! Well it looks like Madril has some serious competition. Street and Linda were gold and Tommy Rich made all this even better. Tommy Rich winning the NWA world title would be the run of a lifetime in this game. I could only imagine. These Doug Furnas packages have been damn good. LOL, it doesn't get better than Landel and Slick bantering. I have no idea where this is all going but I'm going to enjoy the ride. Stomper made Taylor earn that win. Will Taylor have enough left for the tournament? Halloween Havoc is upon us!

Highwaymen kick things off with a stern warning for the Glamor Boys. Beach Boy's win streak continues but will it remain when he hooks up with Kazaharu? "Hollywood" Tatum debuts and we're talk'n Hollywood California LOL. He's going to be such a heat magnet in Florida. Tatum also had the best facial expressions. Solie apologizing afterwards gets this over even more. WOW! Sawyer and Borne may have finally met their match. Spoiler and Texas Red are together again! Good and Plenty are having a good time and want the belts. Poor Bucky Blevins didn't stand a chance. Herc tunes up for Duggan as these two will meet in a chain match! OK, here we go! Highwaymen cheat their way to the finals. I'm sure they savored that win over their long time rivals. Good and Plenty give the fans something to cheer about as they advance over the ever so popular Fabulous Blondes. Well, Beach Boy had a good streak going until Kaz put him to sleep. Whoa, Spoiler throwing the table on Sawyer's head might be the visual of the night! What a brawl! I'm sure the fans loved Tatum's win over Special Delivery. Islanders win the special challenge match. In the end, Santana chooses his partner over Humperdink. Duggan and Herc was the fight I thought it would be and more. This was hard hitting! How did I not see this coming as Akbar comes out and helps Herc get the win. I think we're just getting warmed up. The night couldn't of ended on a better note. Glamor Boys get some serious payback and help Good and Plenty win the titles! Highwaymen are going to be so pissed. This adds yet another layer to this epic feud. So now do we get to see Solie dance with the new champs? Amazing week Bleh!

Really good go home show. Love the picture additions. Sullivan's new henchman Missing Link has an impressive debut. LOL, Flair and Tully on the golf course is Horsemen arrogance at its best. Macho Man cuts an intense promo and is ready to win the tournament. Gary Royal has taken a liking to Pretty Paul. Looks like the start of something. I like how you give your lower card guys something to do. Good way to build future stars. Man that Ole just knows how to get under people's skin. Things almost get physical which builds more tension. Good job with the battle royal. Kamala went on a terror and I thought he was going all the way. In the end, Jake slithers his way into the tournament. Halloween Havoc is all set!

Nice touch with the newspaper headline. It took literally everything to put Reed down. I liked Reed's reaction as he knows he needs to focus on the NWA world title tournament.
