AWA @ The Market Square Arena, Indianapolis IN 9-25-86 Lightning Strike (Tim Horner and Jerry Allen) defeated The Masked Gladiators with a double suplex followed by stereo elbow drops. Al Perez accompanied by Larry Zbyszko defeated Steve O with the helicopter spin. Afterwards Larry and Al shook hands. The next match was originally scheduled to be The Dream Machine vs. Wahoo McDaniel- It's announced that Wahoo has left the AWA. Dream and Jones are celebrating the forfeit win. However, there will be a substitution. Dream and Jones are throwing a tantrum and yelling at the Ref. Things get worse when BLACKJACK MULLIGAN is announced as the sub. Dream and Jones are still berating the Ref. He shrugs them off and signals for the bell. Dream and Jones turn around and get double clotheslined by Mulligan. Mulligan drops a big elbow on Dream 1..2..3! The fans go nuts! Blackjack Mulligan has arrived! Taped Fist Match "Rugged" Ron Garvin vs. "The Wrecking Machine" Richard Charland w/Gino Brito Jr. This one is a straight up slugfest. Both men just hammer and pound away on each other. Brito takes his shots on Garvin as well. Both men are bleeding but continue to go toe to toe. Brito once again gets on the apron but Garvin ducks a wild swing by Charland, hoists him up and atomic drops him into Brito. Charland staggers around and Garvin nails him with a KO right punch to get the win! Match 1 of the Best of 7 series The Rock n Roll Express vs. The Fabulous Ones These teams go all out for 30 minutes. Nothing but back and forth edge of your seat action. Several double team maneuvers and near falls by both teams. The finish sees all 4 men in the ring. An RnR double back drop sends Keirn bumping out of the ring. RnR swing Lane to the ropes and double hip toss him over. The Ref guides Morton back to his corner. Gibson goes to the top rope but Keirn runs over and pushes him off. Lane hits a knee drop to the back of Gibson's head 1..2..3! Morton is a second to late. The Fabs take a 1-0 lead. Iceman Parsons defeats Rene Goulet with the booty bump! Parsons really electrified the crowd. AWA World Tag Team Title Bout Cabin Fever (C) vs. Priceless Cabin Fever are on their A game tonight as they pretty much steamroll over Priceless in the opening minutes. Priceless comes back with some solid heel tactics and double teaming but it doesn't last long. Manny is really working Wells over when Morrow charges in but Boone is all over him. During the pier six brawl the Ref takes a nasty bump and fly's back and down. Boone picks up Morrow and powerslams him over. Manny swings Wells to the ropes and hits the flying burrito! Priceless are down but so is the Ref. Wait a minute! The Beasts of Burden hit the ring in street clothes! They're all over Cabin Fever. Ox Baker is on the outside and throws a couple chairs into the ring. Morgan stomps away on Boone in the corner then holds a chair in front of his face. Nord charges in with a big boot to the chair! A bloody face Boone just collapses. Nord slams Manny down on a chair. Nord holds Manny's head on the chair as Morgan hits a leg drop on Manny's head! Now Manny is a bloody mess. Ox smiles and escorts his Beasts out of there as fans boo and throw trash at them. Morrow slowly rolls over and covers Manny. Wells gets the Ref and tosses him over. The Ref slowly counts 1..2..3! Unbelievable! BOOOOOOOOO! The Winners of the match and NEW AWA World tag team champions- Priceless! Get the champagne ready! AWA World Title Bout Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (C) vs. Nick Bockwinkle Big time feel to this one. We get an epic stare down during introductions that really sets the tone. This one's nothing short of a classic. The opening minutes is all technical with neither man gaining an advantage. The fans can't believe how evenly matched these two are. Bock turns things up with a knee to Steamboat's gut during a break. Bock works in some body slams and suplexes before Steamboat comes back with the fire. Steamboat hits his trademark hip tosses, dropkicks and arm drags. Steamboat slows things down as he works over Bock with an armbar. Bock eventually gets to the ropes, then rolls out of the ring for a breather. Bock gets back in the ring. They go to lock up but Bock kicks Steamboat and follows with a gut wrench suplex but doesn't put Steamboat away. Bock executes a headlock takeover and wrenches away on Steamboat with a headlock. Steamboat eventually gets to his feet and hits a back suplex to get out of the headlock. Steamboat controls the next segment with slams, suplexes, double axehandles and brain chops (from the top rope) and of course some chops thrown in. The tide turns once again when Steamboat charges in the corner but Bock moves. Bock slides under the ropes, grabs Steamboat's leg and slams his knee into the steel post. The next segment is all Bock as he works over Steamboat's knee. He drops several elbows on the knee then applies a spinning toe hold. Bock turns that into an Indian Deathlock! Bock wrenches away as Steamboat grimaces in pain. Steamboat uses all his strength and grabs the ropes. Bock keeps applying the pressure until the 5 count. Bock releases and kicks Steamboat a few times in the knee. Bock sets Steamboat's leg in the bottom rope and goes for a bomb's away on it but Steamboat moves and rolls out of the ring. Bock goes out after him. They both end up back on the apron. Bock hits Steamboat with forearms as Steamboat comes back with chops. Steamboat then hip tosses Bock over the rope and back into the ring. Bock staggers up as Steamboat slingshots himself into the ring and nails Bock with a shoulder dive. Both men are reeling. It's announced that 55 minutes has gone by and only 5 remain. Both men stagger up. Bock grabs Steamboat and goes for a vertical suplex but Steamboat blocks it and suplexes Bock 1..2..Kick out! Steamboat picks up Bock and swings him towards the corner but Bock reverses it and swings Steamboat hard into the corner. Bock charges in but Steamboat moves. Bock hits hard and falls back and down. Steamboat quickly goes out to the apron and hits the slingshot splash 1..2..3! Huge POP! Steamboat won at the 58 minute mark! Steamboat limps around but still manages to smile and hold his title high as a disappointed Bock sits against the turnbuckles staring at him. Winner of the match and still AWA World Champ- Ricky Steamboat!

Its so good to see MACW back in Greensboro! Russians are so much fun to write for. Uncle Ivan finds himself a great partner in Soldat. OUCH! Spartanburg Vice took a hit tonight as the Russians get over big time. Jaggers gets a nice win over Roosevelt. Nice seeing Whatley consoling his friend. The Foley army and Hart feud is just getting warmed up. Whatley and Roosevelt look'n out for each other but so is Bart, Jaggers, Slater and Dirty Rhodes. Whatley needs more friends and fast. Speaking of people looking out for each other, Pretty Boy and Gorgeous help Embry retain his title. Love all the craziness going on here. Radiance! Oh man I think JJ's shoes need to be banned from the matches. Rockers get robbed. As expected, Tully and Savage tear the house down. Liz gets props for hanging in there with Baby Doll. Savage wins round 1 but I'm sure they've only just begun. And now the big news of the night. Ric Flair regains the Mid Atlantic title!!!! WHOOOOOOO! Hawk was a fun change of pace but it was only a matter of time before the Nature Boy got his belt back. The Horsemen are stronger than ever.

Casey and Sunshine give a fired up promo. Sunshine and Precious are heading for some explosive catfights. The Freebirds know how to play the numbers game and they do just that on Casey. Watts manages to piss off both Brody and Bart LOL. Tojo and his man Kendo are making progress here. Murdoch gets the best of the Masked Yankee and even Strong takes notice. I like that the Yankees have been working with some top names. I'm enjoying this duo. Putting Steel down with the DDT shows how devastating that move is. Bad Bad Leroy Brown has returned with Ladd. Ladd has one bad stable. As always looking forward to Ladd's next promo. On the flip side, Soul Man has a pretty good friend in Murdoch. The Sam Houston fans get to let loose as TERRY GORDY returns! What a moment! We get this plus a Precious/Sunshine catfight. Fans got their money's worth with this match. Masked Superstars are back on track with a solid title defense. To bad Steel had to sub earlier. Reed gets a satisfying win. LOL, Adnan chooses the money over LeDuc. After all the craziness, we get a 45 minute classic between Magnum and Dibiase. I'll let Dibiase slide on the questionable tactics since it was for all the marbles. Looks like Magnum felt the same.

I like the visuals used to set the supercard scene. Super hot tag title match kicks off the show. Even though Richter is more concerned with a world title shot, her and Peggy make a damn good team. Maybe Richter should ride this wave for awhile and enjoy it. Only a wild 8 woman match could follow that opener. Great story here with Medusa teaming with unlikely partners to battle the monsters. The draw keeps things wide open. Medusa owes her partners for protecting her from another beatdown. Ok, this battle royal was so well written. I've never been able to write up a good battle royal so I took notes. You captured all the excitement and chaos while keeping it easy to follow. Fan favorite Combs wins it and probably earns herself another title shot. Well, Winona gave it her all but Moretti capitalizes on the hesitation and gets the decisive win to retain. Moretti is on such a hot streak, I don't think anyone can stop her right now. Awesome show!

I know the MACW fans are ready for the return to Greensboro. Without a doubt, the NWA is going to rock at Halloween Havoc! The Assassins are back. I cant wait for a Hamilton promo. The Horsemen are riding high. Flair vs. Hawk, Tully vs. Savage, Rockers vs. Andersons. Busy night in Greensboro for the Horsemen. Will Flair regain the title? I'm buying a ticket for sure. Nothing gets a monster over like a handicap squash. Foley intends on taking over Mid Atlantic. He just might do it with that faction. Nice win for "Downtown" Savage cuts another intense promo. Tully vs. Savage could be the feud of the year. Wahoo is making his presence known. Chopping opponents down, one by one. My goodness look at that Greensboro card! Action packed and chaotic main event. Luger gets the win but suffers a beatdown. I love that image of Sullivan standing there as the show ends.

Big main event as the Olympians return to action and will square off against Vin Man's team of Art Crews and Timothy Flowers. I wonder what their excuse will be when I knock Charland out again! Boos as Brito comes out. Brito: Garvin! You're soft and you know It was a sucker punch and now it's our turn to get even. Garvin hears a commotion and looks behind him. Charland (with taped fists) nails Garvin with a right punch! Garvin goes down. Brito: You see that Resnick. Garvin doesn't stand a chance against the Wrecking Machine! Charland bumps Resnick on his way out. Commercial Break Priceless vs. Vic Dutro and Gary Williams Priceless are as arrogant as ever as they stroll to the ring wearing fedora hats, sunglasses and suits. They each have a champagne bottle and set them on the table. Solid squash as Wells hits a flying shoulder block on Dutro then tags in Morrow. Morrow executes a jaw breaker for the win. Resnick: Opportunity of a lifetime for these two gentlemen. This Saturday at the Market Square Arena, you two will wrestle Cabin Fever for the AWA world tag team titles. Priceless enter the scene and hold up their champagne bottles. Morrow: De titles are as good as ours. Now Resnick, please join us in a celebration toast. Wells: Come on Resnick. Celebrate with us. Resnick: You both know I can't do that. And for the record, you have not won the titles yet. Wells: You really know how to spoil a party don't you. Morrow: Dat was your last chance Resnick. When we do win de titles I know just de person who will indulge us. We are done with you. Wells: Resnick, you really are a square. Commercial Break Highlights are shown of the Colon/Singh match from the Rupp Arena. Resnick: Fans at the Rupp Arena witnessed a bloodbath between Colon and Singh. After a year and a half Carlos Colon has finally won the war. He's on a well deserved vacation back home in Puerto Rico. Colon has gone through hell and I'm glad it's over. We'll see you soon Carlos. Switching gears, I want to remind everybody that on November 26th at the St. Paul Civic Center, the AWA will present its next closed circuit extravaganza, SuperClash! I know Jerry Jarrett and Verne Gagne have been working very hard on putting this huge event together. We'll be talking a lot more about SuperClash in the weeks to come. Here's something I can announce. There will be an 8 team tournament to crown new AWA National tag team champs. The tournament matches will be shown on TV throughout October and November with the finals taking place at SuperClash. Big news indeed. More action when we come back. Commercial Break Scott "Powerhouse" Putski vs. "El Jefe" Jose Estrada On the way to the ring, Estrada takes a big puff on his cigar and blows it in Resnick's face. The bell rings and Estrada starts badmouthing Putski. Estrada goes to kick Putski low but Putski grabs his leg, spins him around and atomic drops him into the turnbuckles. Estrada hits hard as Putski grabs him and sends him flying with an overhead back suplex. Estrada staggers up as Putski swings off the ropes and hits a cross body block 1..2..Kick Out. Putski swings Estrada to the ropes and puts him down with a dropkick. Putski swings off the ropes and crashes down with a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Estrada quickly slides out of the ring to regroup. Estrada stumbles around before finally getting on the apron. Putski grabs him but Estrada rakes his eyes then snaps his head on the top rope. Estrada grabs Putski's legs and pulls him to the outside. Estrada slams Putski's head on the apron and follows with a body slam on the concrete. Estrada hurls Putski back in the ring. Estrada picks up Putski and delivers a rib breaker. Estrada once again picks up Putski and delivers another rib breaker 1..2..3! Estrada picks up Putski and delivers yet another rib breaker. Estrada pushes the Ref out if the way, picks up Putski and hurls him out of the ring. Estrada goes to the table, grabs his cigar and grinds it in Putski's face as the fans boo. On the way out Estrada gives Resnick a dirty look. Commercial Break Resnick: That was a disgusting act by Jose Estrada. I'm not sure what his problem is. Fans, we're set for a tag team match but I understand Keven Kelly has an introduction to make. Go ahead Kevin. Kelly: Ken Resnick, as you know my partner Dan Spivey has left the AWA. Fear not because I made a call to an old friend and with the National tag title tournament coming up, the timing couldn't be better. Introducing my Gold Standard partner Nick Kiniski! Gold Standard vs. Todd Rooney and Ray Glader Kelly and Kiniski enter the ring wearing gold tank tops, gold trunks with gold kneepads and boots. They take off their tank tops and throw them out to the crowd. Kelly and Kiniski haven't missed a beat as they look in synch tonight. Kelly hits a backbreaker on Glader and holds him as Kiniski comes off the middle ropes with an elbow drop to the chest for the impressive win. Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the glowing pink 'Beauty Shop' sign then pans down to Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody and welcome to the number one rated segment in wrestling, the Beauty Shop. Now, I've got some bad news and I've got some great news. First the bad, unfortunately there will be no guests tonight. However, the great news is I have a big announcement. As I've said a million times but since I know you dumb fans don't have very much of an attention span (BOOOOOOOOS) Hey there's no need for that. As I was saying, everything happens on the Beauty Shop. Next week on this very show, Curt Hennig has invited Brian Adias to come out here for a man to man conversation. That's right, the former AWA world tag team champs, the Awesome Twosome will be right here on my show. I can't wait! So until then toooodles! Commercial Break The Fabulous Ones vs. Clinton Stitch and Javier Gutierrez Fabs are aggressive tonight. Lane nails Gutierrez with a karate kick as Keirn grabs him and executes a back suplex for the win. Resnick: Last week Jerry Jarrett announced that the two of you will face the Rock n Roll Express in a best of 7 series. Match one takes place this Saturday at the Market Square Arena. Keirn: Jarrett's happy, those Fab wannabes are happy but guess what? So are we! Lane: That's right! We get to beat up those imposters 4 straight times! Resnick gives a puzzled look. Keirn: What? Do you really think those punks can get a win on us? Lane: No way! We have the endurance, stamina, strength and teamwork. We finally get to prove to the world what we have known all along. Keirn: That we're the better team! Case closed! Commercial Break Footage from the Rupp Arena is shown as Idol gets DQed for hitting Lawler with his title belt. Resnick: Joining me now is the AWA National Champion, Austin Idol. "Do you want to touch me" by Joan Jett blasts over the speakers. Idol steps in front of the camera with his belt on his shoulder and gives the viewers a bicep pose. Idol: Oh darling, the Universal Heartthrob is on cloud nine tonight. Do you know why? Resnick: I'm afraid I don't. Idol: Of course you don't! Just look at me baby. Can you name anybody in the AWA that suits this title better than me? Of course you can't! I've defended this title against the best and I've beaten the best. I mean nobody has come close. Resnick: I would say Jerry Lawler came close if not for you... Idol: Whoa! Wait a minute! Who walked out as champion? That's right, I did! As for Jerry Lawler, his ship has sailed. He tried but failed! Face facts Lawler, you're just a loser and you never will measure up to a man like me. I'm the champ and I say Lawler never gets another shot at MY title. You got that darling? Man, it's great to be me! The fans boo as Idol gives another bicep pose and wink. Commercial Break The Olympians vs. "Diamond" Timothy Flowers and "The Ace" Art Crews w/The Vin Man Fun match as the Olympians use their combination of Rheingan's technical wrestling and Bill's sheer power to frustrate Crews and Flowers. The tide turns as Vin Man trips Rheingans and he stumbles into a clothesline by Flowers. Flowers and Crews get it together and take control for a few minutes with constant double teaming. Bill finally has enough, charges in and puts Crews and Flowers down with a double clothesline! Rheingans eventually makes the hot tag and Bill cleans house, slamming Crews and Flowers all over the ring. Rheingans comes in and all 4 men are fighting. Massive boos as The Union comes to ringside. Ross is waving his flag as Huber holds up his sledgehammer. Before they know it, the Olympians run outside and put the fists to the Union! The Ref counts as the Olympians pummel the Union. The Ref hits 10. Vinnie runs in the ring and celebrates with his team like they won the SuperBowl. Olympians have no idea what happened as they continue to pound away on the Union until a bunch of prelim wrestlers come out to try and stop this. While that is going on, Vinnie runs up to Resnick and says "Book my team in the National tag tournament! Vin Man...Yea!" Commercial Break Giant Haystacks is standing by a cliff with ocean waves in the background. Haystacks: Last week was a message! A message for you El Canek! Resnick: This Saturday, Market Square Arena, Ricky Steamboat defends the AWA world title against this man, Nick Bockwinkle. Bock: From day one, my goal has been to reclaim what's rightfully mine, that is the AWA world title. I had to spill blood with Wahoo McDaniel to get here and I accomplished that. Mr. Steamboat, you're the only man who stands in my way. I assure you, I will stop at nothing to win the world title. I can also assure you that I have the intestinal fortitude to do just that. I don't think I can say the same about you. I will go as far to say, I guarantee victory. Resnick: It all goes down this weekend at the Market Square Arena. Fans, you wont want to miss it. Until next week, so long. OMG sends a message to Pacific! Simmons gets an impressive win over Deaton as he works his way back to Hansen. Brian Adams gets the fall but irritates Chris and Gary. I wonder what's going on here? What a way for Black Tiger to debut. Teams with St. Clair to get a big win over Finlay and champ Rose. Doesn't get better than that. Rose might be on borrowed time with a game St. Clair closing in. WHOA! Masked Avenger beats down Bam Bam and costs him the TV title! Bigelow will be out for some serious payback. Props to Bigelow on an outstanding TV title reign. I'm now looking forward to a Big Bubba run.
-
I liked that you used SD's real name, Roosevelt. I did the same a couple years ago. I just love that name. Can Am Express show they're a tough team by going toe to toe with the POP. Luger gives the fans a huge surprise as WAHOO returns to mid Atlantic! It's awesome seeing Wahoo get right into the mix. Kamala will do big things here especially under Foley's guidance. HMMMM, Bad Bad Leroy Brown helping out Whatley. Very interesting. Nice counter by Herc. I bet Foley relished that win over the Harts. Ivan and Stevens show the kids how it's done. Vachon gets a most satisfying submission win on Armand. I have to say, the tag team division is stacked! Blockbuster main event as the Horsemen get the tainted win. However, JJ suffers dearly.
-
Tyree Pride has become quite a gem in this game. Adrian Street is back! Luscious gets the win thanks to Man. This feud has so much potential it's scary LOL. HAHAHAHA! Embry goes from crybaby to cheater. Poor guy can't catch a break. The most hated team in the game is once again wearing gold. I'm sure the fans are going to give the Rich's a lot of love. Once again, I have to say, it's amazing how the Rich's are still getting this much heat. Dusty gets triple teamed but Magnum shuts that down quick with a baseball bat! Bad night for Sherri. First Budro gets one over on Adonis as Sherri takes a bump. Then without Sherri, the Super Destroyers come up short against NWA champs Dibiase and Williams. Looking forward to what Sherri does next. Hot main event for the NWA title. Stubbs gives Magnum a real run but the belly to belly prevails. The handshake was a pleasant surprise. Night of Champions delivers!
-
You guys in the NWA are doing an incredible job with the Jr. division. Santo earns the shot but pays dearly as Embry shows him who's he's dealing with. Luger battling it out with the crazies is a lot of fun. Rockers pull it off and earn themselves a shot at the Andersons. LOL, Nice touch with a pissed off Ole. Big time main event as the Horsemen eke out a tainted win over the Road Warriors. Show ends on a high note with the Macho Man! Savage vs. Tully...OOOHHH YEA!
-
LOL! What a way to open the show. Poor Stubbs finally gets his world title shot only to be bothered by the disappearance of RPG. Budro claims he's innocent. I'm sure there will be more to come. Embry says he's the best in the world but Prichard might make him cry this Monday. It seems Gordy is falling out of favor with Woman and Luscious. Hmmmmm, I wonder who this man coming to the PleasureDome is? I'm loving what's going on in the Jr. division. Nightmares are coming back. They always had good runs in Continental. The American Dream cuts one of his classic promos and follows with an energetic win. However, everything get spoiled as Khan really does a number on him. Halloween Havoc! Bring it on! The Fiesta Garden returns! Oh how the game has missed Alberto. I hope Brenda Britton didn't see this LOL. I have to give a shout out to straight man Slinker. His presence adds quite a bit to the scene. Alberto, Slinker, Sherri, Super Ds, Adonis and Budro, all in the same place! What a coming home party for the Fiesta Garden. Alberto's right, that sold tickets. Did I catch a little attitude from Taylor? Another wild and chaotic scene to end the show. Oh man, the Rich's really bloodied up Bullet and Steve! Then Luscious does a number on Scott. After that, Scott might not make it back in 30 days. That was one heat filled ending. Awesome week Gene! Can't wait for Night of Champions!

AWA releases Tiger Jeet Singh, George Takano, Earthquake Ferris and Joe Savoldi AWA picks up Tatsumi Fujinami, Don Kernodle, Nick Kiniski and Gama Singh
-
Kendo makes quite the debut with his visual display. Tojo will be a lot of fun here. I'm sure he'll be another headache for Watts. The Mighty Yankees has been an entertaining mid card act. Nice job on giving everybody something to do. Rufus gives Jake some problems but in the end falls to the DDT. When you interfere in somebody's match, expect some payback. Brody and Bart go toe to toe. Gotta love that cage match. Ladd and Allen are in total control until Dick Murdoch spoils their party. I know the Mid South fans were going nuts when Murdoch came out. Oh yea, and the Soul Man wins the Mid South title! Rocky has had a great year in this game. HMMMMMMM, I've got my eye on Fergie. Garvin is back as a Freebird! All is well until Casey and Sunshine arrive! Another great moment for the fans tonight. This defiantly sets up Casey as a top guy. Looking forward to the inevitable Sunshine/Precious confrontation.

The fans start chanting "Carlos! Carlos! Carlos!" Singh uses all his strength while pulling his sword back. Colon is almost out but clenches his fists. In an unbelievable moment, Colon reaches deep down and starts rising. Singh wrenches away as Colon stands up while Singh is on his back. Colon runs backwards and rams Singh hard into the steel post! I can totally hear Bob Caudle's voice as I read. Bob is a class act. Spartanburg Vice make their long awaited in ring debut. I'm expecting big things from these guys. I also have to mention the Cruel Connection LOL, brings back old WTBS TV memories. Luger is wasting no time in taking care of this Lucifer business. However, he better watch out for POP and Kabuki. LOL, that explanation by Uncle Ivan was classic. Nikita gives a heated promo as well. I believe him when he says he's keeping the US belt hostage. Huge opportunity for the Midnight Rockers but huge task in beating both Andersons in singles matches. "Crybaby" Embry doesn't seem to worried about the winner of the gauntlet match. I would love to see an Embry/Denny Brown match. Speaking of the Jr. division, Benoit is coming on strong under the tutelage of Foley. Love that you're using the "Hart's Afire" name. All is right in MACW as the Horsemen are united. Their promos during this time were so damn good. WOW! Nikita looks like a beast as he literally takes out MACW legend Mr. Wrestling 2. Talk about serious heat. Great show! Can't wait for Raleigh.

I'm loving the Medusa storyline. She's so obsessed that she's willing to go at it alone against all the monsters. I've said this before but I really like the tag division you've built up. We're guaranteed a solid tag match every week. Well, Medusa's actions come back to bite her. Winona takes advantage and scores the upset.

I believe I've come up with a plan to prove who the better team is. You and the Fabs will compete in a best of 7 series. The first match will be next week at the Market Square Arena. I truly believe this will settle things once and for all. I wish both teams the best of luck. Jarrett exits. Resnick: You guys heard it. Best of 7 series with the Fabulous Ones. Your thoughts? Gibson: You know for some reason the Fabs started all this and put me out of action for a month. I couldn't think of a better way to shut their mouths than this series. Morton: Fabulous Ones! Last week you asked if we were willing to do anything to prove who the better team is. Well boys, you get to see us do just that and multiple times in arenas all over the AWA. Oh baby, RnR is fired up now! This is gonna be a lot of fun! Commercial Break "Jump'n" Joe Savoldi and Earthquake Ferris vs. "Diamond" Timothy Flowers and "The Ace" Art Crews w/The Vin Man After what happened last week, Savoldi went looking for a partner and found someone (Ferris) who has a bit of unfinished business with Vin Man's Family. Footage from The Roanne Fieldhouse is shown as Garvin swings Charland around and puts him down with a knockout punch! Resnick: (smiling) we just saw... Brito: (interrupts) What you just saw was a spineless coward sucker punch his way to a cheap win. Garvin! Let's see how tough you are in a face to face fight. The Wrecking Machine challenges you to a taped fist match, next week at the Market Square Arena. Do you have the intestinal fortitude? I think not. Resnick: AWA world champs Cabin Fever! You guys are on the roll of a lifetime. Next week at the Market Square Arena, you'll be defending the titles against Priceless. It seems they're already celebrating a title win. Manny: Ken Resnick, you know as well as we do that we thrive on taking down arrogant and over confident opponents. Why do you think we're holding the world titles daddy?! Boone: Priceless! You're going down! Resnick: Ok, Cabin Fever looks more than ready for their upcoming title defense. Fans, you're about to see some highlights of El Canek. Lets take a look. Highlights are shown of El Canek, who's currently on tour in Mexico. Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as Billy Jack Haynes attacks Jimmy Snuka, clamps on the full nelson and costs him his match with Dream Machine. Billy Jack Haynes w/Ox Baker vs. Arnie Goldstein Billy attacks at the bell and never eases up. He clamps on the full nelson and it's all over. Billy holds Arnie as Ox puts him down with the heart punch! Resnick: I don't know why Ox Baker needs to do that. Something needs to be done. Well here they come. Billy Jack Haynes, Ox Baker, what was your reasoning attacking Jimmy Snuka last week? Ox: Resnick! Are you some kind of idiot? That stupid savage costed my man Billy Jack the AWA world title on Labor Day. He stuck his nose in our business and by doing that he made a grave mistake! Billy: Snuka! This weekend at the Rupp Arena, I'm finishing the job! Bet on it! Commercial Break Giant Haystacks vs. The Cobra We've got a true contrast of styles match. Haystacks charges but Cobra ducks him. Haystacks turns around and Cobra dropkicks him several times but can't get him off his feet. Haystacks rakes Cobra's eyes, swings him to the ropes but misses a clothesline. Cobra swings back with a spinning wheel kick but still cant get Haystacks off his feet. Cobra goes to the top rope. Haystacks turns around and Cobra hits a flying press but Haystacks catches him! Haystacks walks around with his arms raised as the fans boo. OH NO! Haystacks takes a couple steps and drops another elbow on Cobra! Several trainees run out and attend to Cobra. The fans are in a stunned silence as Cobra is eventually stretchered out. Wait a minute! Haystacks walks over and tips the stretcher over! What a sickening display! The trainees frantically help Cobra while Haystacks yells out a big roar. Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the glowing pink "Beauty Shop" sign then pans down to Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody and welcome to the number one rated segment in wrestling, the Beauty Shop. My goodness, I'm so happy tonight because I single handedly got rid of both stupid Scott Casey and his woman of the night Rainy. Let this be a lesson, don't mess with me or you'll pay dearly. Now, you all know that this is where it all happens. Tonight is no different because making his very first appearance in the AWA, on my show, none other than Iceman Parsons! "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang blasts over the speakers as the fans are up and cheering. Iceman comes out dancing and feeling good. Britton: Welcome to the AWA and wow you have some serious energy don't you? Parsons: Oh Brenda, the Iceman is feeling good tonight. Have mercy! Britton: So what brings you to the AWA? I hope you plan on taking the world title off that paper champ Ricky Steamboat. Or maybe, beat up that dumb Jerry Lawler. Or shutting up that dope Wahoo McDaniel. Parsons: Brenda, of course my goal is to get some gold but those men you just mentioned are friends of mine so no need for name calling. Let's keep it professional. As far as the gold, I know I have to work my way up, so first goal is going for the TV title. Britton: First of all, if you consider those jerks friends then you're going to have a bumpy ride in the AWA. Next up, what makes you think you're even in the same league as the Great Gagne? Parsons: What's with all the hostility? Tonight is about having some fun. You need to lighten up. To answer your question, I'll be making my AWA in ring debut next week at the Market Square Arena. Then you'll see that Iceman Parsons can get down with the best of them! Britton: Well I have to say, I was expecting more tonight. What a let down. Until next week, toooodles. Ross is waving the American flag as Huber holds up his sledgehammer. Huber powerslams Smith and tags in Ross. Huber holds up Smith as Ross puts him down with the combat kick for the win. Resnick: Union, you have a lot to answer to. Why in the world did you assault the Olympians like that? Both men are still recuperating. Huber: If you ask me, the Olympians were let off easy. Tell them Ranger. Ross: I can't believe what's going on here. Those dirty commie Russians attacked us numerous times. We finally get some payback and those commie loving Olympians ruin everything and interfere. And we're the bad guys? Resnick: I think they were just trying to keep you guys from getting suspended. I mean you beat the Russians down with that flag and that sledgehammer. Huber: So what! We were standing up for ourselves and this country! Ross: Exactly right! We're the types of people who built this country. We're the backbone. People like the Olympians are what brings this country down. Oh yea, they come out here dressed in red white and blue with smiles on their faces but when it comes time to spill blood and sweat they're just not up for the task. Huber: Olympians! Bring it on! Anytime! Anyplace! Commercial Break AWA National Champ "The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol vs. Gary Williams Idol showboats his way to another victory with the Las Vegas leglock. Resnick: Austin Idol, this weekend at the Rupp Arena, you'll be defending the National title against Jerry Lawler. He says the two of you have unfinished business. Idol: Oh darling, if me beating him up and leaving him laid out is unfinished business well then I guess we do. I mean how many times do I have to beat him before he gives up? Lawler! Keep dreaming if you think you're going to beat me and get this here title. I'm better looking than you. I have the better physique, that's a no brainer. And I'm defiantly more charismatic than you. Bottom line baby, I have the credentials to be champion and you simply don't! Idol gives the camera a wink and bicep pose before leaving. Commercial Break A music video to AC/DC's "For those about to rock" is shown with highlights of the Carlos Colon/Tiger Jeet Singh feud. Pre recorded promos Singh: Carlos Colon! The time has come! I have been waiting for a year and a half for this moment! It all ends on Saturday! I will make you bleed! I will make you suffer! Anything goes! Falls count anywhere! That means you're at my mercy. I can do whatever I want to you. I will relish every second of this. Your time is up Carlos Colon! I bid you a bloody fare well. Colon: The past year and a half has been a nightmare. Gagne is still laid out. The Ref puts it on his chest as the fans boo. Commercial Break Lance: Well fans, clearly Tim Horner had the TV title within his grasp. Sometimes that's the way it goes in the heat of action. I'm sure that young man will get another chance in the future. This weekend at the Rupp Arena, Carlos Colon and Tiger Jeet Singh will settle everything in a falls count anywhere loser leaves AWA match. This match is over a year in the making. Also, Austin Idol defends his National title against Jerry Lawler. You wont want to miss that show. Next week. I hope to have an update on the condition of the Cobra. That was hard to watch. Also next week, I'll have a special announcement regarding the National tag team titles. Switching gears, next week at the Market Square Arena, Ricky Steamboat will defend the AWA world title against Nick Bockwinkle. Please welcome out the AWA world champ Ricky Steamboat. Massive cheers as Steamboat comes out waving and smiling. He looks slick in his black slacks and white collard shirt. Lance: Ricky, since April you've been nothing but a fighting champion. The schedule never slows down as you know. Next up is Nick Bockwinkle. Steamboat: You're right Lance. It's one thing to win this title but it's another thing to hold onto it. Night after night, I face the very best the AWA has to offer. Now last week, Nick said I was in for the wrestling experience of a lifetime and he's walking out with the title. Nick, no doubt about it, you're one of the very best to set foot in that ring. However, don't make the mistake of underestimating me. There's a reason I'm still holding onto this title. I'm going to prove that to you next week at the Market Square Arena. So Nick, get ready for the match of your life!

To Vancouver, Bomb Squad are off to a great start. Straight from the vault we get the lost Hitman vs. Mega Man match LOL. Mega Man looks like a million bucks and scores the huge upset. Busick vs. Avenger is a Pacific dream match for me and after that finish, I'm hoping for more. I think Hall sealed the deal for him and Mega Man to get a G.S. tag title shot. Hansen has been devastating with his lariat. I agree, Pillman and Hector was a show stealer. Could the Midnight's arrogance soon cost them their titles? Playboy is one lucky dude to have an enforcer like Finlay. St. Clair vs. Finlay is coming soon. Kelowna, Rotunda keeps racking up wins. OMG is going to be a force in Pacific! The Odd Couple keep rising the tag ranks. Chaos at its best as Iron & Steel go chairs to chairs with the Wild Bulls. I hope this feud lasts forever. Nice resurgence going on with Chris Adams. Masked Avenger certainly isn't making any friends. Not that he wants to. Black Gold is another young team gunning for a title run. Smothers once again retains the CA title. Man, I'm enjoying his reign. Pacific is looking to end 1986 on a hot note!
-
I always look forward to your post Supercard shows because I know we're going to get some some hot new angles. Brickhouse gets the win but Hollywood Jack gets the last laugh. Bomb Squad looking to make an impact. I'll say this, if I was a young wrestler, Pacific is where I would want to go. Are we going to get an Adams alliance? I hope so. Another fresh match up as Gilbert and Cowboy Bob battle to a double co. I could watch these great workers go at it every night. Watch out Pacific! OMG has arrived!
-
Kev's right, your Dawn of War memory is most impressive! I love that you're keeping Whatley's WSW momentum going. Looking forward to seeing what Foley's Commonwealth can do here. Harley vs. Ivan is a straight up old school MACW main event. A masked man name Lucifer sounds pretty scary. Him aligning with the Powers of Pain is even scarier. Texas Red gets a huge win over Herc. That catapulted him up the rankings. Great seeing the Rougeau's in action. Slater and Tully going 45 minutes! Oh yea!
-
Pride brings his WSW momentum to Continental. Since taking out Fujinami, Khan has been on a roll. Goto, Sato and some salt get the street fight win over the Dirty White Boys. Thanks to Scott Armstrong, Prichard walks out of the PleasureDome with a win. LOL, Poffo has a classic meltdown. YES! I knew sooner or later the masked Bullet would return! I cracked up when Tommy almost gave himself away as a Medic. Crowd pleasing win for the Armstrong's. After a lot of wild chaos, Cooley ends up on top and sends Myers packing. Budro and Stubbs are heading for an explosive showdown. Super D's battle the champs to a double co. I know Sherri will get her team a rematch. Great main event as The American Dream takes the Southeastern title from the Outlaw! That's how you send the fans home happy.
-
The Rich's are riding high but I have a feeling the Armstrong's have something up their sleeve. Stubbs makes it clear he wants an NWA title shot. I'm pretty sure Magnum will give him one. Prichard arrives in CCW and immediately has a date in the PleasureDome. Doesn't sound like he knows what he's getting himself into. Cooley's had enough of Myers and is set to send him packing. Alright, Sherri is on the scene and immediately gets her Super Destroyers a title shot. Very persuasive indeed. Classic Dusty promo as he gets ready for a shot at Bass. Just watch out for Miss Betsy. Khan gets in a good squash. I wonder who Humperdink has his eyes on? Budro talks the talk and walks the walk as he puts down the Spoiler. Fun TV main event.
-
Black Bart's got some serious guts challenging Brody. LOL, I can imagine Tatum's facial expressions when US Steel got a hold of him. Both Yankees are causing a lot of problems. Mike George just experienced this. Ron lives up to his rotten moniker with that cheap attack on Gibson. Crybaby Embry retains. Santana gets physically beaten by Jimmy Jam then gets verbally abused by Precious. Rough night. Williams and Dibiase retain over the Freebirds but the story here is the purse. The plot thickens. I'm ok with the Allen/Johnson double co because now we're going to get an awesome cage match. Hot main event that keeps the fans on the edge of their seats. Fergie gets into his Ref role but it costs Peterson the match. Jake gets a nice little bonus from Adnan. Heels send the fans home with a downer but like you said, tomorrow's another day.

"Rugged" Ron Garvin defeated "The Wrecking Machine" Richard Charland w/Gino Brito Jr.- The bell rang and Brito was arguing with the Ref from the apron. Charland walked over and started berating the Ref. Garvin swung Charland around and knocked him out with a punch to get the 1..2..3! Huge Pop for Garvin! "The Ace" Art Crews and "Diamond" Timothy Flowers w/The Vin Man defeated Jerry "Alright" Allen and Scott "Powerhouse" Putski- Vinnie hit Putski with a forearm blast from the apron and Crews and Flowers followed with a double DDT for the win. Chief Wahoo McDaniel defeated Larry Zbyszko by C.O.- Wahoo frustrated Larry so much that he simply walked away. Jerry "The King" Lawler and The Rock n Roll Express defeated National Champ Austin Idol and The Fabulous Ones- After nearly an hour of non stop action, Lawler pinned Idol with a roll up during a pier six brawl.

Hmmmm, I wonder what's up with JR Foley and Benoit. Just who is this masked man causing all this chaos??? Crippler still has some fuel in the tank as he puts Bugsy down with the piledriver. Props to the Rockers for taking the Andersons to the limit. I would say this earns them a title shot. Road Warriors haven't lost a step. WOW! Nikita loses the NWA title but quickly rebounds by answering Kerry's challenge and winning the US title! Always liked Nikita's US title runs. OH MAN! I knew Flair was confident going into his match with Savage and now I know why. Tully fills the spot and the 4 Horsemen are born! The Norfolk fans got some thrills tonight. I like where all this is going.
