Much edge, much lordship

I understand what people mean by the repeated coronations in the sense that he's never had that dominant championship run that most top guys get at one point or another. However, it's pretty clear that his booking is designed to get the reaction it receives and he's been really great on TV over the last few months. It is a hilarious irony that the segment of fans who think they're so much smarter than the average are the easiest portion of the audience to work.

I do agree that some of the Mania build has been lacklustre but they've made Shane vs AJ and Cena/Nikki vs Miz/Maryse seem like really hot matches and those were the bookings people were most critical of. Roman vs Undertaker hasn't had the most eventful build but the atmosphere for them will be electric on the night. I think it'll be a good show. I'd be more concerned that there is absolutely no hype for NXT this time around.
-
They should probably just wind up the company, right? Seems like they've got nothing going for them whatsoever.

30 and 31 were strong shows and Bryan winning the title finally was one of WWE's best genuine feelgood moments

It's not like they couldn't have just done Hunter getting his heat back next week either. And Seth is meant to be one of his guys. Imagine what he'd be like working someone he doesn't like. You mean like doing crotch chops to get the crowd to cheer him while he was supposed to be the heel in the feud with Roman? Exactly like that. It's amazing that lots of the sort of fan who would have hated him 10 years ago for pulling that sort of shit idolise him now.

Triple H having to get his heat back was annoying but expected. WWE should probably be more concerned with the fact that Seth Rollins got a very weak pop for his run-in.
-
Maybe he wants to put Undertaker against the opponent that would get the most reaction from the crowd.

Why there can't be seperate UFC and wrestling categories I don't know. I cringed majorly when Dave was on WOR comparing the McGregor vs Diaz 'feud' to Tanahashi vs Okada as if they're in any way the same thing. He may as well have The Rock as Best Box Office Draw and Trump vs Hillary as feud of the year if anything he writes about can basically just be lumped in together.

TNA doesn't draw money and their ratings are in decline so it makes no sense for them to offer big money contracts
-
The top rope doesn't add anything to the KO punch - he jumped from the second rope and got punched when he landed on his feat. That's a lot different to being thrown backwards and at an angle onto the back of your neck from the top rope.

Glad that the crowd were with Braun and Show. I thought the match was really good for the hoss fight it was supposed to be and it's heartening that even in 2017 when it seems like the rubicon has been crossed, WWE can still get fans into that sort of big man monster clash and get Strowman over as a star.
-
I mean, he is fucking terrible but his match was like 2 minutes so it hardly detracted from an overall good show
-
That segment basically buried everyone. Kalisto deserves so much better. Should have just done Dolph vs Lawler
-
I felt like they had an extra 5 minutes with a hot closing stretch in them so I hope the feud continues and they get another chance, even on a TV main event
-
I don't understand why Nattie and Nikki doesn't have a stipulation. They've had some pretty good brawls and the story has been heated so it makes sense to do a no DQ and would help work around any limitations work wise.
-
That would be a perfect role for Maryse after The Miz has one of his semi-frequent breakdowns on Talking Smack On another note, I wonder if any enterprising Dem senator will be itching to cut a promo on Linda McMahon ahead of her cabinet appointment hearing thing.

Why aren't 3-way and 4-way matches a bigger deal?
FMKK replied to rzombie1988's topic in Pro Wrestling
The only way I can imagine that makes sense is working it like a handicap match - two heels on a face or two faces on a monster heel - and then doing dissension between the pair and a finishing sequence. Otherwise it ends up clumsy and contrived with lots of lying around as you said or overly choreographed planned three-way spots. -
Dave for some reason is loathe to give Corbin any credit for improving. Seems like a bit of a weak match at this point for Cena though considering he was supposedly slated to work Undertaker. Cena beat him clean on TV a couple of weeks ago too. But I think they could do something surprisingly good.

Rollins has been presented as such a geek in this. Didn't look for HHH for months, was distracted by music and then actually stayed away when he was banned from the building. And the fact that he's basically angry that mummy and daddy won't help him cheat anymore
-
Surely there's no way Owens actually gets to Mania with the title.
-
The stupidest people on the wrestling internet aren't happy. What's new lol? It's funny how they all get so uproariously angry with the company and the booking when that's providing the exact reaction that the booking intended. So it's therefore good booking. That segment of the audience is even easier to work than the young kids at this point.

But when the modern fan seems to think that the only way you deserve a push is if you're over 40 or you've worker ROH, then they shouldn't pander to that mentality at all. And it seems clear they were using him knowing full well the reaction he would get, like they do with Cena sometimes.
