I'm not even a fan of his, I just think the idea that a commonly held opinion is science is ridiculous.

This isn't a very good set-up for a poor hivemind joke. You're a solid worker Parv but you should work on your feeding, can't rank you in my top 100 currently. Seriously. I give you the hot tag and the he no-sells your firey offense. SMH.

So I'm down to 75, which I'm kind of proud of at this point, including only 3 missing from my top 50. BTW, I had Trips at 34. I REGRET NOTHING!! *dodges trash being thrown in the ring*

Bigelow being that high just shows me how many ballots there are outside of the 'PWO bubble' because the idea he is one of the best big men ever has been thoroughly debunked around here. How the fuck do you debunk an opinion? This isn't Mythbusters.

I'm actually surprised there hasn't been that much Sting blowback at this point. He seems like a ripe candidate for "WTF IS HE STILL DOING OUT THERE?!" hysteria.

Hulk Hogan is the biggest star the industry ever produced. Did you really expect him not to rank in the top 125?

Everybody's getting a little tense. Maybe we should bring the Jerry Saggs Fiasco in to play a couple of tunes, loosen people up.

It's not about footage availability, it's about what people took the time to watch and more importantly, what they follow. I am an American wrestling fan who for the sake of this project took time to look at a number of candidates outside my normal viewing pattern, but what I got to was a fraction off what I wanted to. I did not rank Villano III (or most luchadores) because I didn't have time to get to it. I voted for HHH. Does that mean I think HHH is a better wrestler than Villano III? No. It means I don't have the ability to make that comparison, so the guy I *have* seen gets my vote. Once this project got beyond about 50 ballots it stopped becoming about what a select handful of really intense fans thought and became more about a big picture look at what wrestlers are at the top of their particular genre. I think people really need to stop looking at where a guy fell in the overall and focus more on where they fell compared to their true peers, because that's going to ulitmately be the more telling ranking.

So I'm 19 soldiers down and can't say as though I'm surprised by any of them.

Because I am stupid. I asked him to this morning so I could make some edits and do an update. We just didn't synch up in time.

Tarred and feathered, Memphis style.

New proposal: Guy whose ballot finishes with the most combined points gets his old avatar back.
-
I get that. Part of me wants to wind up with as many top 100 guys on my ballot too, even though I didn't construct it with that in mind. As for the elitst thing, I never mentioned names (nor would I), in part because everybody on here has at some point written something that really made me think and/or opened my eyes to something about wrestling I had missed or overlooked, so no need to shit on them here. That said, many of those same people generate a LOT of eyerolls from me with the way they present their opinions, and this project is bringing that out in spades. It's all part of the overall entertainment PWO provides. I wouldn't have it any other way.
-
Oh, I'm not. That's precisely my point. I'm enjoying the fuck out of the bitching and moaning. I'd be participating more if not for the fact that I set fire to my ballot about 2 days after I submitted it so nothing is really coming as a surprise to me at this point.
-
Of course there are other factors. And most people are handling it just fine. I'm just enjoying the outrage from the elitist minority who seem to take it as a personal affront to their tastes that the list isn't falling in their favor, especially when you consider the list isn't falling in ANYONE'S favor. We're all losing people we hoped would do better. Some of us are just enjoying the diversity more than others.
-
I'm actually enjoying it. The hue and cry of "NOOOO! MY FAVORITES ARE DROPPING AND SO TOO IS MY OVER-INFLATED SENSE OF HOW MUCH MY OPINION MATTERS!" is really quite spectacular. I've gone from dreading being the high vote on Triple H to kinda hoping I am just so I can bask in the knowledge that my vote has just as much value as the guys who seem to think that their bias is somehow more justified. Carry on, gents!

I'm officially on board with Tye Dillinger as the NXT gatekeeper. His promo last night was tremendous, especially when he popped in to give the interview the "3". Guy entertains me thoroughly even though I have no real desire to see him pushed more than he is.

Somewhere out there Michael Elgin is lurking.

Is Kevin Owens the first wrestler in history to be "removed from the building" who didn't actually return? Or did I imagine the whole thing?
