EI-P it seems you really just dislike Jim Cornette and what you believe he did to ROH (which wouldnt be around today or since 2009 without him, a fact few seem to remember when slagging off his work there) and anything you perceive he represents that falls into those categories in the show you perceive as Corny's fingerprints all over the product. I personally enjoyed this week's episode and thought less was more and made it an easy hour to watch. If I wanted to watch a ton of angles and stuff jammed into a wrestling show there are plenty out there doing that. I do agree having Aries go so even with an unknown in his big redebut was foolish and his look is not very flattering (despite his vegan diet I thought he looked particularly emaciated compared to his last appearances in IMPACT). I enjoyed seeing the old style brawl in the main event and didn't see a big issue with it as it helped build towards next week's big title match with Fatu and Lawlor. It was exactly what it needed to be. If what you preferred was the luchadors and Konnan then you can't expect a guy like Konnan to be available all the time with his workload in so many different companies. Also MLW still has new luchadors coming in and LA Park returning. Not every week is going to feature the same crew which is what I like about MLW. If it's jumped the shark for you that's fine but to rant and rave about it like it's all Cornette' s doing is silly, at the end of the day he's only a part time executive and final says lies elsewhere. I don't believe these perceived changes will hurt MLW at all and is a smart way to go in today's climate where all the available established talent is being snapped up.

Is there any way to go through your guys new found footage blogs chronologically on the site? I've tried searching a few different ways but haven't had success in getting a straight forward list of them so I must be doing something wrong. I really enjoy them and would like to go back and check out any I've missed.

I'm with you, I see nothing in the Sheik and while I like Simon Gotch, I don't think he should be anywhere near the top of the card. Fatu is money though and should be protected and kept elevated at all costs. This last episode was pretty lackluster to watch, not much happening in the ring but understandable with how many weeks of TV they've been milking from "Mania weekend. Next coule weeks once they get some more tapings done should pick up.

I take it as if it's not a big deal she's gay then it shouldn't be a big deal if she wants to wear the rainbow flag with her gear, she's not beating anyone over the head about it just like some talent wear their countries flag on their gear or guys like Punk or Batista incorporating Gracie Jiu-Jitsu logos on their gear, it's just a nod to something that's important to her and a part of the fanbase. If anyone wants to get all in a tizzy about it then they obviously have something more going on with their viewpoint of seeing it as something more noteworthy than it really is. Nobody watching WWE who doesn't already have extreme views is going to be too offended or distracted by a rainbow hanky.

I foolishly got really excited for 'Mania this year after seeing the Ronda/Becky build a few months back and hanging onto the hope we'd get Joe vs Cena since neither had anything seemingly going on heading in. Now not only am I just hating how they've turned the Becky/Ronda build into Russo-esque work shoot horse shit nonsense (adding Charlotte wasn't what I wanted to see but I wasn't too broken up over it until the Twitter nonsense between Ronda and Becky), I'm also really bummed that it's Joe vs Rey of all people when it makes no sense to me to do and Cena is still without a match. I never thought that 15 years after being the stereotypical Cena sucks awful "smart" fan that I'd be pissed he's being left without an important match on 'Mania but here I am and I am really really disappointed although I should've known not to get my hopes up for anything WWE because stuff rarely happens or makes sense when it comes to their booking. I'm also sad that Angle's alleged retirement match with be against Baron Corbin of all people and that Kofi, despite how a lot of fans are behind him, is getting the WWE title match against Bryan when I don't see Kofi as a main event guy and if he wins it'll just reek of giving a popular guy the top title as career achievement award rather than it being a statement this is the top guy in our company who will be the face of the brand. Between the WWE title and the Universal title, neither of WWE's supposed top prizes mean much of anything which I've never seen before really as usually one of WWE's world titles were protected and meant something. I'll still be tuning in live watching with my cousin and friends which helps combat the long slog WWE PPVs have become but outside of AJ vs Orton and Batista and Triple H I don't really have high interest or hope for anything else on the card. How WWE can have a more talented roster every year and yet still put gradually worse 'Mania cards baffles me.

Love his Japan work and very saddened to hear this. Truly heard nothing but nice things about him from those who met him. RIP.

I agree with you on them being on the side of the cage way too long, I just got frustrated after a while and lost all interest. Shame that Lawler and Ki's 2 big matches have both been very underwhelming considering how I enjoyed both guys in their other MLW work. Overall I enjoyed the show though.

Nice, I haven't got around to watching that one but heard his interview there was leagues ahead if the one Highspots got out of him. I really need to find a copy and check it out.

I know I've said this previously, but thank you again BAHU for all the work you put into these. I enjoy watching and learning all this FMW history and it's such a wonderful escape from all the bs of day to day life. I found your site back in the mid 2000's and was amazed to learn more about FMW after all I'd ever saw previously was the Backyard Dogs movie from my local Video Rental Place and a couple clips online of Hayabusa and exploding rings. I would spend hours at my desk job(one of the few sites that flew under the site restrictions of our company Internet) reading the bios you wrote over and over and just amazed at how much there was to learn about FMW. To have this series all these years later make me relive and enjoy some of my favorite years of discovery as a fan.

I know I've said it before Bahu but I love this podcast and all the work you put into it including adding the video clips because that must take some time and effort. Thank you so much for all the hard work.

Okay thank you, I never knew Bix worked with Figure 4 although I do remember listening to old clips of Bix on the old Observer live show calling in and usually knocking something like 'Mania 17 in once I recall. Shame Bix has this kinda grudge since I really enjoy his articles and him on Between the Sheets. Don't know why wrestling journalists have to feud with each other since the pool of them is small enough as is, doesn't make sense to me but I'm no journalist so what do I know?

What is Bix's issue with Dave? I've seen them have twitter spats here and there but I've never really known Bix's work and who he was until I joined this site. Could anyone give an overview?
