Hey, look, don't feel bad. I'm sorry if I came across as smug or anything while I only wanted to make sure that you'd be able to work better with UWF. But if you feel you're up to the task with World Class, then go for it, man. Myself, spaldoni and dawho can help you out in the NWA to maximize your potential. In the end, we're all here to help each other out. You can PM me anytime if there's something you wanna talk about. :)

WWE TV 08/20 - 08/26 THE BIG DOG IS THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION

Jesus Christ. -
It wasn't a matter of disrespect to you, miz. We recommended for you to take over UWF first because it would've been easier for you to perfect your writing style without giving you the burden of booking massive talents like the NWA World Heavyweight & World Tag Team Champions. But in the end, that's your call.
-
I think that dawho posted a YouTube video of a Fire Match in the preceding page.

I agree with LowBlow that given the circumstances, UWF is definitely the best fit for you, especially given the fact you're new here. But since you'll now be officially a member of the NWA, it'll be our pleasure to help you out with bookings and everything.
-
Yeah, we proceeded in private to book several NWA Champions (NWA World, NWA Tag Team & National Tag Team Champions). I'm fine with proceeding in the open on this board to make navigation easier.
-
Well, I'm glad that this is resolved and we can turn a new leaf. I love working with you guys and while, as evidently seen in another part of the Armchair Booking thread there's still another project coming up which I'm beyond thrilled to get started, this project was what brought me to this board in the first place. So I'm looking forward to resume my writing - I have a couple of shows that I'll need to re-shuffle due to catching up and the WCCW & UWF roster freezes but it should be feasible. I'll start getting back on track next week due to some personal stuff that I also need to take care of @Crazymax Jack I'll check again which deals I have pending but most of them if not the totality of them is with the AWA and it has yet to kick in. I'll get back to you with an updated roster by Sunday at the latest.

That always sucks to hear. Obviously the Villanos were a key part of lucha libre many years ago so it's a somewhat sizeable part of lucha libre history that died today.
-
I agree. The Atrocious Alliance is a cooperative steamroller in GAEA. It's their tournament to lose!
-
That whole segment with Savage holding Heenan hostage was BRILLIANT. The last visual with the beagles in the end is hilarious. And how cool of a mega-match it was to have Hogan & Savage vs Arn & Tully? Dream match if there ever was one!

Another great card on the island! Was it frequent though for people to pelt the ring with garbage in Porto Rico when the heels got over that way to draw heat?

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling TV LIVE! August 16th, 1986 Latulipe, QC Quick and dirty results -The show starts with footage from last night when Jimmy Garvin captured the NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Championship from Don Kernodle after controversial interference from notably Jacques Rougeau. NWA Enforcer Bruno Sammartino is brought to the broadcast booth and say that while the decision will stand, the fact of the matter is that Jacques Rougeau broke the conditions of his probation with Don Kernodle and the NWA is strongly considering additional disciplinary sanctions against Jacques. In the meantime, Jimmy Garvin will make his first title defense next Friday in Calgary, Alberta. Afterwards, the broadcast team hypes the presence of Japanese stars Akira Maeda & Antonio Inoki on this week's show. BattleBowl entry: Prince Alofa Fatu beat his fellow NWA Canadian International Tag Team Champion Kokina Maximus in 11:46 after interference from One Man Gang and Floyd Creatchman. Paul E. Dangerously is seething at ringside afterwards and motions for the Blond Outlaws to attack One Man Gang. However, AUSTIN IDOL makes the save to chase off the Dangerous Alliance. Who is this masked man??? À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT! -
Dusty Finish is always effective, no matter which promotion you use it. Eventually, someone will get their hands on Cornette and it won't be pretty. And he's gonna have more than Slater to deal with now that he cost Brad Armstrong & Jeff Jarrett the UWF Tag Titles!

Another great show here. The feud between Luger and Sid is heating up!

The controversy emerged first when referee Luigi Macera was knocked in the corner by Jimmy Garvin. Garvin attempted a piledriver but Eric Embry ran in, took Kernodle's title and knocked Garvin out! Embry fled the scene and Precious got into the ring, trying to revive Garvin. Seeing that Kernodle was back on his feet, Precious grabbed a bag of powder. However, Jacques Rougeau ran in to stop Precious and snatch the powder bag from her. After they exchange a few words, Precious slapped Jacques! Jacques retrieved the powder from the bag and throws it in Precious direction....BUT NAILED KERNODLE WITH IT!!! Rougeau is stunned as he gets out of the ring while Jimmy Garvin comes back to and rolls up a blinded Kernodle to score the victory! The show ends with Jimmy Garvin & Precious celebrating together while Jacques retreats backstage, realizing what he had just done.... - TITLE CHANGE!!! -
No problem. So far, I love that card. And the writing style is simple and easy to read while providing enough key material for the reader.

I thought they did a fantastic job with the 3-part vignettes to hype Daniel Bryan vs The Miz this Sunday. We can shit all over WWE for many things but when it comes to video packages like this, they're often untouchable. Imagine now that they hired the guy who did that job for Impact Wrestling/TNA.
-
Was there a mistake in the winners of the opening match? You listed the Villanos as the winners but the way I read it, it looks like Chono/Hase/Sasaki won it.
-
I just love how much Ron Starr got pretty much beaten at his own game by a wrestler who could pull the exact same tactics like Arthur J. Crews did. I thought this made for a very interesting dynamic for the main event and it also made for something special given the rarity of outside titles being defended on the island!
-
No worries. To be honest, I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. I don't know a whole lot about Grizzly Boone but you've been building him very nicely. He's gonna become a staple of your territory in the upcoming months for sure.

That's because it's the name he used in Europe and Quebec when he first started (in reference to French singer & songwriter Leo Ferré)...When he started in the US, a promoter decided to call him Andre the Giant instead. -

Andre was amazingly over in Lutte back then. He actually owned a share of the promotion before he headed to WWF (Lutte was owned under the entity Promotions Varoussac - Va = Valois, Rouss = Roussimoff - Andre's real last name, Ac = Acocella - Gino Brito's real last name). Eventually, Andre and Frank Valois sold their share to Dino Bravo & Rick Martel. -
Your tag division is absolutely loaded. You can put any team in contention for any titles and it gets the job done. Tag team wrestling truly is the staple of your territory and I'm looking forward to what the future will bring in that aspect. As for the final segment, I just love the turnaround in Buddy Landell's character. It's also great to see Baby Doll unable to get under Buddy's skin and it seems like Jack Brisco's influence is paying off already. I think Buddy is more than ready to beat Lex Luger now!

Great match for the Lightweight Championship here as the Owen vs Santana feud continues. Huge opportunity for Mercenario 2 in the main event against Carlitos Colon. That cartwheel always popped the crowd down there!
