  1. Anyway, there's no need to follow a touring schedule exactly like it was IRL. Glad to see that this got resolved quickly and without any controversy. However, perhaps the best course of action for miz this time should've been to talk with rain in private about Portland specifically although in those circumstances, Kevin was of great help with other venues in the Pacific Northwest. All's well that ends well.
  2. NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling TV LIVE! August 9th, 1986 CNE Coliseum, Toronto, ON Quick and dirty results -The show starts with Jimmy Garvin being interviewed at the broadcast booth and requesting once again a title match against Don Kernodle. Kernodle comes out and says that he didn't hold his end of the bargain in regards to Matt Borne so the deal is off. Jimmy Garvin says that was Eric Embry's fault, not his if they didn't get the job done so he shouldn't be paying for Embry's shortcomings. Kernodle reiterates that until Borne is taken care of, he's not getting anything. Garvin vows to take care of this before the end of the night. -NWA Canadian International Tag Team Champion Kokina Maximus (w/Paul E. Dangerously) beat Bruce Hart in 11:01. After the match, Paul E joins the broadcast booth and still claims that the Dangerous Alliance will rule the National Wrestling Alliance sooner rather than later. In fact, Paul E says that he's so good that he could take any random team or any random man, and lead them to victory in any way, shape or form. Paul E pitches a concept called BattleBowl, in which teams are randomly put together and winners advance to a battle royal with the winner getting a major amount of money. Next week, he's gonna have a match to get the first entrant in it. The broadcast team says Paul E is getting ahead of himself but he doesn't seem to care.... -The Zambuie Express defeated Hot Property when Elijah Akeem pinned Billy Joe Travis -The Rougeaus were scheduled to face the Blond Outlaws in the next match but Paul E. Dangerously says there is a change of plan as Hiro Saito has come down with an illness. Therefore, Paul E introduces Tatsutoshi Goto's partner for the night....GINO BRITO. The Rougeaus are appalled and stunned at the sight of an expressionless Gino Brito walking to the ring? What has the Dangerous Alliance done to him? -Gino Brito & Tatsutoshi Goto (w/Paul E. Dangerously) beat the Rougeau Brothers when Goto pinned Jacques after the Backdrop Suplex. After the match, Brito reluctantly attacked Jacques! -Keith Hart scores the upset by pinning Rick Martel with a small package in 29:27....The broadcast team mentions that Martel really needs some time off. After the match, Keith tries to attack Martel some more but Bruce Hart makes the save. Bruce takes the chair away from Keith and Keith walks off... -Iceman King Parsons beat Ken Wayne in 15:46 -In the main event, Team Lutte Internationale (Chris Candido, NWA Canadian International TV Champion Matt Borne & Los Infernales) beat Team Portland (Brady Boone, Billy Jack Haynes, Mike Graham & Tim Horner). The story of the match though is Jimmy Garvin running in the arena and attacking Matt Borne after Precious hit Borne with a loaded purse. Jimmy Garvin went as far as piledriving Borne on the floor, causing the EMTs to rush to the scene and stretcher Borne by precaution while Garvin was escorted out of the building...Will Jimmy Garvin finally get what he wanted? À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT!
  3. I think we're not too far away from Paul Orndorff being the top babyface in Mid-Atlantic - if he isn't already. I think an Orndorff vs Dibiase showdown is inevitable!
  4. I'm pretty sure that LeDuc vs Abdullah happened IRL, but I don't remember if it happened in Montreal or Porto Rico. But either way, it's a money match here for the territory!
  5. I must say that I love the concept of multiple battle royals to determine possible next contenders for Barry Windham. Gives the title even more prestige!
  6. See....the little things with Adias & Sunny. They must watch their backs so often for one another that they can't seem to focus properly when time comes for bigger opportunities.
  7. Beth is definitely feeling more comfortable in her role. If they eventually offer her a permanent position to do color commentary, I'd seriously think about it if I were her.
  8. Yeah, in hindsight, maybe I should've switched the Road Warriors and Gilles Poisson matches but I didn't want to finish the show with 3 multi-men matches so I thought placing it there was the best spot I could put it in.
  9. August 8th, 1986 Golden, BC -NWA Canadian International Tag Team Champion Prince Alofa Fatu (w/Paul E. Dangerously) beat Armand Rougeau in 17:26 -Before the next match, we're told that Jacques Rougeau was attacked backstage by Jimmy Garvin, Eric Embry & Precious and won't be able to team with his brother Raymond tonight. However, someone has stepped up to replace him: TV Champion Matt Borne! Furthermore, they requested that this match now be a 2-on-3 Handicap Match with Precious involved in the match!!! -Professor Brad Rheingans beat Chris Candido in 13:53 NWA World Tag Team Championship Falls Count Anywhere: The Road Warriors beat NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Champion Don "The Pride of" Kernodle & "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers in 11:28 to retain after the Road Warriors pinned Somers after the Doomsday Device -MS-1 beat Joe Savoldi in 11:42 -Tatsutoshi Goto (w/Paul E. Dangerously) beat Sunny War Cloud in 10:08 with the Backdrop Suplex -NWA World 6-Men Tag Team Champions The Fabulous Freebirds beat The Nightmares in 19:10 after Michael PS Hayes pinned Ken Wayne with a swinging neckbreaker -Gilles "The Fish" Poisson beat Brian Adias in 11:16 2-on-3 Handicap Match: NWA Canadian International TV Champion "Maniac" Matt Borne & Raymond Rougeau beat "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin, "Flamboyant" Eric Embry & Precious in 51:48 after Matt Borne pinned Eric Embry when Precious accidentally sprayed Embry in the eyes!
  10. I guess the all-inevitable Glamour Girls vs Jumping Bomb Angels is inevitable. And why wouldn't it? :)
  11. Great main event here between Benoit/Bigelow and Invader 3/Ayala. Great mix of styles in both teams and they seemingly gelled very well. Also, I can't even imagine how much fun you must have writing the Chicky's Sports Shop segments.
  12. Well, The Rockers tore the house down with the Brainbusters a few times and I remember a match with the Orient Express being very enjoyable. But I agree that the Rockers would've hardly broken the top 10.
  13. Actually, take a look at this, this makes things even more intriguing:
  14. Loved the Country Whippin' match as well as the main event. Very interested into what Chris Chavis will do as the Warhorse in your ECW!
  15. Big fan of Bobby Jaggers and Dutch Mantell getting the main event slot here. Their feud has been so hot everywhere in the Project that I'm glad they're getting their moment to shine here!
  16. I like that this week you went a bit slowly here after everything that went down in last week's episode. Focusing this time on progressing the road to the title matches and Summer Gold. Always important to slow it down a bit once in a while to let the reader breath and brace himself for what's coming up.
  17. Damn, I should've waited for that announcement before announcing my acquisition of Hot Property lol By the way, once my final trade is announced (must wait a bit), I'll definitely update my roster because there were MANY moving parts on my end in the past few weeks.
  18. I like the pairing of Freddie Blassie with Baron Von Raschke. Exactly the type of wrestler he'd have under his tutelage. Also digging Gene Anderson being announced as special referee. He certainly can keep some order in such a huge match.
  19. WHOA. NEW US TAG CHAMPS! Dibiase's crew is really dominating right now in Mid-Atlantic. Honestly, I don't know who'll be able to beat the Awesome Twosome!
  20. I can't even begin to imagine how wild and crazy must've been Dr. D vs Jimmy Jack Funk. Chaotic would be putting it mildly. And I definitely love Terry Funk showing all of his guts and audacity with that challenge against the Freebirds. I got no idea where this is going but this will be a highly emotional contest to say the least!
  21. Also effective immediately: Lutte trades The Great Samu to UWF for Jimmy Garvin & Precious.
  22. War Games were so awesome to watch. Very few of them have been disappointing historically. Probably only the last ones in WCW sucked.
  23. Hey, let's talk about Sean Royal is going places right now. He's getting some really good showings here in UWF. And of course, loved the Cage match between HTM and Jerry Lawler. Fantastic cards top to bottom!
  24. Nice to have you back all caught up again. Can't wait to see where everything goes forward!
