Sheamus not having at least an one-off with Roman (and those two always had amazing chemistry) feels like a missed opportunity. He was white-hot, pun intended, after LOSING to Gunther. He still is over as hell. As for Triple H, he managed to book the women's division worse than whoever was planning the shows before him. Summerslam not having a match for Rhea AND no Trish vs Becky is so damn wack. Iyo has been treated like a chump after looking good during the build to MitB, Charlotte, Asuka and Bianca are running in circles. His most over NXT guy, Adam Cole, ran to the opposition and after a brief meh period and injuries, he's part of the hottest angle there. The top story in WWE right now, which is the Bloodline arc, is nearing its end, and started way before Trips took over. Where does WWE go after Summerslam, in terms of storylines, is the real question. Many stories are finishing. Brock vs Cody, Jey vs Roman, Shayna vs Ronda, Seth vs Finn hopefully.

I remember when she had some more high profile matches in WWE against Charlotte (which I am always suspicious of tbh) and she never really reached the same heights in terms of in-ring quality as those around her, specially Liv Morgan. Now, another thing which I found interesting is how Thunder Rosa was portrayed as a loner, or as someone who was indeed isolated. Seems to be coherent with what was going on at the time.

This is after she had a lengthy interview with Fightful regarding her time with AEW a while ago. My main takeaway from her interview, which talks about many problems with Ruby Soho, about the overall high-school feeling the locker room has, about casual xenophobia directed towards French-Canadians and about many other things, is that Jacques Rougeau must be the biggest asshole alive.

Double J just blasted the shit outta Grado with that punch. A worker's worker.

Michael Cole has honestly had an all time great run since they started doing those CWC and MYC specials. I distinctly recall him being really damn good for that UK tournament, too.

Wrestling is great when it allows itself to be wholesome. NXT has had two little great moments tonight.

MJF as a babyface act should have happened a long time ago. You keep the edgy tryhard bullshit to a minimum and play to his strengths which is crowd interaction(plus he won't fucking throw drinks at kids!). I dunno man, but I don't want heel/face dynamics when they eventually face each other down the road. Let Roddy be the Luger to Cole's Sting, in this case.

This is fucking fantastic.

They sold the shit out of this Ronda/Shayna angle. My goodness.

GUNTHER never misses. Holy shit.

Gunther vs Gable let's go

At least that battle royal is a sure fire way to get him a W at a PLE. And I mean, the dude was repping some sweet ALDI deals not long ago. He may just be TOO good at promoting stuff like that.

Ricochet vs Logan is a legit star making program for Rico.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Corbin as an opponent. He had terrific matches against Chad Gable, someone with the same background as Gable Stevenson, and the mat work worked great, and that's with Chag being considerably smaller. Besides, Dragunov and Melo got the biggest reactions of the night. You can make a star out of Ilja, but I'm not sure there's much you can do with Stevenson. Also, worth noting that Stevenson got a nice reaction in front of a much smaller crowd, and usually the Orland faithful are very much in agreement of what is presented to them, which is a nice thing. The problem is that in front of a larger capacity, his lack of charisma and obvious legal problems will be more of an issue.

WWE TV 07/24 - 07/30 Started the FIFA Women's World Cup on a high note!
KawadaSmile replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Give it time. IMO he'll be a top champ soon enough, just like he was in TNA, but even just holding the US belt would mean more TV time, more featured feuds and programs, and more PLE matches. Plus, it's an acknowledgement of his stardom. He's not at that Gunther/Seth/Cody/Roman/KOZayn level yet, but I can see him going over Big Sheamo next Friday.
