WWE TV - 7/17 - 7/21 - Three Men Stand In My Way, Three Men Get Dropped
KawadaSmile replied to Timbo Slice's topic in WWE
Whose game is it? It's funny because when he was in NXT, I believe by the time he feuded with Grayson Waller, it sounded like Austin or The Rock were making their entrances based on the pop he would get every single time. -

I'm not even getting into the exploitative side of the business, as BPJ had that feud with Max which featured edgelord bullshit, I'm just saying he sucks ass. -

I mean, he did have actually nice tag runs with Ambrose, Murphy, Braun not long ago. He is a good tag worker. Also, Trips wanting to sign BPJ is sickening. -
Andrew "Test" Martin only had one TNA match - Hard Justice 2007. He main evented tagging with Sting and Abyss vs AJ Styles, Christian and Tomko.

Seth Rollins better hold on to that theme song. His match against Balor was actually the weakest one at MitB despite a good build - he is a good TV wrestler but there is no way he can be a top guy. Even prior to the all-time blunder of booking him to be shrieking and cowering in fear of the fucking Fiend, he stunk the place when it came to big time matches, most notably the Ironman match against Ziggler which he complained about the crowd on Twitter afterward. But yeah, LA Knight is actually miles better than Ken Kennedy. Let's be for real here. -

It's how the division has been booked ever since she debuted. It's Charlotte and friends, and always will be. It took THREE FUCKING YEARS for Rhea to get her win back. Asuka lost to her at that one Wrestlemania and fucking bent the knee to acknowledge her. -

Jey Uso is a star -
Drama is as essential to professional wrestling as body slams. Shit, Terry Funk is possibly the greatest of all time because he's the most melodramatic wrestler out there. Kobashi is also another great whose emotions and exaggerated expressions are all over his work and enhance his matches. So far, The Bloodline arc hasn't crossed that "I'm sorry, I love you" line where it just becomes bad theatrics, mostly because Roman and Jey are better actors than most in the WWE setting. However, there were instances where the melodrama crossed that line and actually made a feud/match worse, the most telling one being the Gargano/Ciampa feud. It even became somewhat of a meme with the "Why am I so violent" line. Another good example I can think of is Ultimate Warrior vs Macho Man at WMVII. I believe @strobogohad a pretty nifty review on his website, mentioning how Warrior was having a crisis of faith in the middle of a match. It was done very well and that match still holds up.

How did the buckle bomb become the most dangerous move in our sport

Big Bill is kinda awesome and I do think his tag with Cage is by far the best one in this tournament.
-
Would this be Kota's first match since falling out with NJPW?
-
He was actually a good big wrestler but was saddled with possibly the worst gimmick of the New Generation.
-
I'd think they would be doing it right now if the results were decent. Or maybe they are doing it but WWE verbiage is so ahead of its time that we didn't notice?

Roman Reigns. The draw of this generation. Acknowledge him! -
Yup. Besides, he is able to get amazing reactions by doing less and less - just look at how him stacking the Usos up managed to get the crowd heated, and how he sold them kicking out. While the matches indeed have slower paced early portions, he is still able to control the crowd masterfully through storytelling and reactions and character work. I think his Tribal Chief run is actually what solidifies him as a top tier worker in this generation, even. Him being a great in-ring wrestler in terms of workrate hasn't been in question since his 2014 match against Orton, but people really tricked themselves into booing him, thinking he sucked. He managed to get them on their side during his fantastic 2015-2017 run by busting out moves and bumps, and now he gets them to react the way he intends just by trash talking and gesturing. It's dope. Also, I enjoyed the match he had against Rollins, and thought he had a small banger with Xavier Woods too, despite that turning out to be not really fruitful for either of them.

Indus Sher getting a "COMING SOON" vignette. They already came! More than once! -
Yeah, the spot where Yuta/Mox/Bryan do it in stereo fucking suuuuuucks. Danielson can lay it in when needed, as made evident by him stomping Lesnar's face in some years ago (it's a better spot, too), but Mox never had good strikes and Yuta is even worse, so when they do that it's really bad.

I was SHOCKED to learn that Chuck Wepner is still alive. Not only that, he's an absolute unit of a man, at 6ft5. Didn't look that small when up against Andre, that's for sure. You'd expect someone whose nickname came from the fact he took a lot of punches to the head would be not with us anymore, but he's still kicking!
