The 2016 vote is what introduced me to this site. Can't wait to participate in this year's.

I hated him 2017-2018 because of how often he relied on constant interference and "hide the weapon" spots during his matches. Seriously, a good chunk of Suzuki-gun around this time was essentially what House of Torture is now. Then around the 2019 G1 he started wrestling more traditional matches and I thought to myself "Huh, maybe there IS something there." From 2020-onwards he pretty much dropped the bullshit entirely and proved he was actually pretty good all along. Not a guy who will make my list but someone who ended up genuinely surprising me.

He definitely won't make my list but I love Yano. Tremendous comedy wrestler even if his schtick generally works better in shorter matches. But he's also a solid mat-based wrestler given his collegiate background and his more "serious" matches with guys like Tanahashi are pretty good.

My #7. While I would still put the other pillars ahead of Taue as I think they have higher singles peaks, I could never wrap my head around the idea that he was always some also-ran. He's right there in the thick of things and dare I say often the glue of those classic tag matches. Not to mention a terrific big man wrestler who actually wasn't especially big to begin with.

You mean he DIDN'T want to lead a stable with Lexis King?

Nick will rank exactly one spot higher than Matt for me for pretty much the same reason. He's the high spot guy.

He will make my top 50. His AEW run has only added to an already pretty sizable resume.

Just slightly outside the top 50 for me. Was already one of the best in the world pre-WWE and her output has remained fairly consistent since.

Top 50 for me. The Dump matches are incredible spectacles and I love the bruiser she would become in the 90's.

I felt that way with Cena, Shawn, and to a certain extent, Bret.

This kinda sums Bret up for me as well. Really good at what he did especially given the position he was in. But for a top 10 or even top 20 candidate, I feel you should have a huge laundry list of great matches and I don't think Bret quite has that. And while his peaks are high, I feel there are others who have even higher ones.

Curious what other WWE matches folks might recommend apart from Zayn and this recent A.J. match. I'm largely of the belief that his WWE run really hurts his case even if he did have a solid argument for best in the world during the first half of the 2010's. Feels more like a top 150-200 candidate to me.

So not only are EVIL, Finlay, Maloney, Conners, and Kidd likely on their way out, supposedly Hiromu is as well. Supposedly NJPW wanted him to move to heavyweight but he declined, which seems odd.
