  1. Another solid Rampage. Didn't like the Pac-Andrade finish even if it is the setup for Flair. Match was really good though. Trios match was fun and the main event was a bit rough, but the hometown hero won and celebrated with another hometown hero. The 1 hour format really works and makes for such an easy watch. And the head-to-heads with Henry before every main event rule.
  2. Haha, math was never my best subject. And how could I forget Ishii? Mr. G1 himself.
  3. As for Cage, he works best as a mid-card heel or tag worker. I enjoyed his work as a heel in LU.
  4. The last UFC ppv, Gane vs. Lewis, is estimated to have done about 400k. https://www.itnwwe.com/mma/ufc-265-ppv-buys-payouts-salaries/. That's about their average for a non-stacked card or a main event that doesn't have huge name value.
  5. I'm confident Page will be fine.
  6. Live reports were that the match was really good.
  7. Shame about Kaze Ni Nare, but what I was able to catch tonight was pretty damn good. I mean, Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson in the same ring together. That's like fantasy promotion stuff.
  8. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Dante Martin also for tonight. That should be a load of fun. Bryan also addresses the fans and Cole is supposed to be there too.
  9. Refreshing honesty. Also, I'm glad Gedo has seemingly so much faith in Shingo to not only give him a sustained title run but also hearing him out creative-wise.
  10. I'll probably still watch all of the usual suspects' matches (Okada, Ibushi, Tanahashi, Naito, Shingo, ZSJ) but that's probably it. I'm usually a completionist with the G1 but I skipped all but one match on the final day of the A block in 2018 the last two shows or so of last year's B block. This year will be even less, ha.
  11. Definitely one of the best I've ever seen.
  12. The Cole debut honestly surprised me. I knew he was coming, but the same night as Bryan? Fantastic.
  13. I was concerned that expectations were so high for this show that it would fail, but nope. It exceeded even my highest expectations.
  14. I think Matt's best singles match (Edge-Unforgiven) is better than any Christian singles match I've seen. But I think Christian has more volume, so I'll go with him.
  15. Two hours I think is the most ideal amount of time for a wrestling show, but I really love how brisk Rampage is at just one. AEW was going to do a second show at some point and I think doing just an hour rather than two makes everything that much easier to consume and digest.

Mox has always seemed incredibly motivated since leaving WWE. He's definitely not the best in-ring worker in AEW, but the only downright bad match I saw him have was that endless FCA match with Hager.
  17. I dunno, his match with pre-Vader Leon White is good.
  18. Shame they never crossed paths.
  19. I thought it was fine but it went too long and Kenny talked too much. My hope is that this means the Lucha Bros. are going over, but I certainly don't think Christian should.
  20. I still wonder about his chances of getting the book once Vince dies and the company gets sold to like Disney or something.
  21. Went from the heir apparently to likely being written out of the will. And while I don't really watch NXT and haven't in about 3 years, from the clips I've seen it's still miles better than the MR (incredibly, incredibly low bar I know). Can't imagine Vince will turn the ratings around, ha.
  22. Ooh, this is a tough one especially as I've been watching more Onita. Foley has higher peaks but I think Onita has more volume. Foley got great matches out of so-so to downright subpar opponents and yet Onita has killer matches with martial artists. My gut says Foley now but this could change.
  23. Step up from Dynamite. ME was whatever as an angle and Tay-Bunny was just fine, but the opening tag ruled and the Miro-Eddie-Fuego segment was awesome.
  24. Yeah that would be perfect.
  25. I forget where (maybe PWT?), but I read that building Page and then taking time off was the intended plan and was meant to build heat for an eventual match down the road. Not sure how true that is and I was initially anxious on postponing the match, but he's going to get a massive pop when he returns to challenge Kenny one last time.
