  1. La Sombra vs Atlantis Mask vs Mask, La Sombra vs Volador Jr, and La Sombra vs Shinsuke Nakamura at Kizuna Road 2013 are probably his best matches outside of WWE.
  2. Suzuki and Shingo would be my top picks.
  3. It's all going wrong for New Japan atm. It must be a pretty serious injury if he's vacating the title.

My interest in Jericho fell off a cliff after his title reign. The same goes for Cody.
  5. Went on excursion to the UK but the Indies have been shut down pretty much the entire time he's been here
  6. Genuinely stunned as to how bad their response has been. Even countries like the UK and US who have completely bungled the pandemic up to this point have had strong vaccine roll-outs.
  7. https://www.njpw1972.com/96789 Officially postponing both shows.
  8. Welp https://www.njpw1972.com/96759. With Japan surging in cases, there's a possibility the dome show is in jeopardy, especially if Okada is one of those positive tests
  9. Despite being overly long (surprise surprise) Tanahashi vs Jay White was a very good, well-built main event. And speaking of overly long, Taichi vs Tama Tonga went 27 minutes and there is no way I am watching that.
  10. Isn't Daniel Rose Matt Riddle's lawyer as well?
  11. Tremendous main event and Roman's new theme is so great.
  12. Wasn't Alberto charged with kidnapping? Whatever happened to that? Either way, incredibly stupid of Andrade (and by Kalisto tbh).
  13. Samoa Joe talking about his tailbone injury https://mobile.twitter.com/SamoaJoe/status/1384650019148640257
  14. Peyton Royce is gone now. Didn't they split up The Iiconics because they wanted to push Peyon?
  15. AJ Styles Vs Kota Ibushi at Invasion Attack 2015. The match itself is great, but the drama with Kenny Omega and THAT finish (which I won't spoil for anyone who hasn't seen it) make it stick out in my mind. There's also Bash At The beach 1996, which was a decent match completely elevated by the reveal.
  16. Makes his dream move and then gets perpetually injured. Madrid's physios have got to be the worst of any top team right?
  17. What's people's verdict on Ibushi's reign? Lots of people were down on it but I thoroughly enjoyed it, unification notwithstanding. Every match was at least good, and the match with White was a MOTYC. I'd say it's the best title reign since Okada's.
  18. I was just on my way over here. The match was great, a shade below their G1 29 match but better than their WK match. The last few minutes were complete insanity.
  19. Opening the forbidden door...
  20. I wouldn't say the gates are much cause for alarm really, they ran a weak card that was only announced a week after their previous major event, while STARDOM had been hyping up their Budokan show for ages and had a stacked card, even bringing in Yoshiko and Nanae Takahashi (not sure how hyped NOAH's build was). The booking is definitely a cause for concern though, between the silly gimmicks, the Ospreay/Priestly thing, and the weird lack of momentum for certain wrestlers. The EVIL de-push baffles me frankly; even though I'm not a fan of it AFAIK the Japanese fans were really into the LIJ break-up angle.
  21. Awful looking belt. Co-sign what Boss Rock said, why get rid of a title that looks so incredible.
  22. I'd say his match with AJ at the rumble was his worst, it wasn't good at all, but one bad match in a three year run is incredible. He's my number 1 US wrestler for sure and top 5 overall.
  23. General question, are bookers responsible for how long a match goes, or is it completely down to the wrestlers?
  24. Ospreay vs Shingo was indeed great, but Ospreay has lost something for me since turning HW though I can't really put my finger on what it is. As for Gedo, he seems to be forgetting why New Japan exploded recently, and that's cause it was completely different from what we were seeing in the West. Having talented wrestlers and putting them in gimmicks like Master Wato and Great-O-Khan is the exact opposite of what people want.
  25. Shingo is the best wrestler in the world atm and I honestly don't think it's close. Another great match today against KENTA.
