  1. Tiger beats Mando putting Los Guerreros final score at 1 win 2 losses. Orton shows Brickhouse why he's the Ace. "Hollywood" Jack is good but he was facing "Simply the best" The Brigade is charging headfirst into their big opportunity. B.Adams falls to the numbers game. The Snowbirds vs The Bomb Squad sounds like a good workrate tag. Bubba wins what must've been a slugfest to retain the TV Title.
  2. Such interesting teams for Survivor Series. My eye is on the battle of the Dungeon graduates (& the Rockers)
  3. OMG just cannot be stopped. Iron & Steel put the Dog (Pound) to sleep. Busick's Spinebuster may just be the most protected finisher in the game. Steamboat with a win over the veteran Guerrero. Badd Company breaks their losing streak...with a draw. The Odd Couple give The MXE a run for their money. As humorous as the idea of OMG skulking is, it begs the question. Have Buddy Rose & Percy Pringle reached a deal?
  4. Simmons & Hansen are send ver physical messages to each other. Yamada/Guerrero sounds like a tapetraders dream. Bigelow rounds up the Outlaw. Can he send the Avenger packing. Black Gold scores a big win but they better have eyes in the back of their heads with Easy Ed & Finley are THAT happy after a loss.
  5. Goddammit i wish Thatcher & RPG would stop beating around the bush and tell us who the World Champion is! Good to see Scott back. He & Steve are sure to be favorites in the tag team battle royal. Monday night could be HUGE for the Starr Corporation. I was wondering where Bruno was during the last few Desperado matches. Luckily he still had Mighty Goliath's number. Stacked card for Huntsville. How George not so Straight! LOL! Also Madril's explanation as why he couldn't be behind the bounty was perfection. Slick's Stable sets the record straight. Monday could be a banner night for these guys. Taylor is looking great racking up a string of main event wins.
  6. Lightfoot vs El Jefe brings back such happy, violent memories. Bring on the six man gimmick! Sabu is on a rampage! Mad Dog & the Maniac thrive on chaos. No surprise they emerge with the win. Simpson's temper costs The Glamor Boys the third fall. I can't imagine The Highwaymen mind how they got the win. The Fabulous Blondes blow another shot at the tag straps. But the countout gives them "justification" for another rematch. Battle of the Bay was the gloriously chaotic mess we were all hoping for. I wonder if Akbar will be mad at Kazaharu for not waiting until the four corners match to attack Regal. Backlund snaps but then...apologies for it? But the headlines will be all about the new Florida Heavyweight Champion Hercules Hernandez! Not that Duggan needed another reason to after him of course.
  7. Always nice to see Vin Man eat shit. Kinda surprised to see Colon retreating but if I'm being honest if I had Ricky Steamboat coming after me with a kendo stick I'd bail to. Canek beats the big man but a giant awaits at SuperClash. Snuka & Hayes with another wild one. But what everyone is going to be talking about the next day is that stacked 8 man tag. Idol is reminded that his dirty tricks are a double edged sword.
  8. I like the idea of mixing people from different eras. Could make for some serious dreammatches.
  9. MACW Live @ "Old" Charlotte Coluseam in Charlotte NC 11/13/1986 Radiance (Gary Royal & Paul Roma) defeat Spartanburg Vice (Jerry Bryant & "Big" Lou Winston) when Roma pinned Bryant with his feet on the ropes. "Hangman" Bobby Jagers defeats Savanah Jack with a running elbowdrop. Falls count anywhere "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala w/JR Foley & Friday defeats Mad Dog Vachon with "Air Africa" off the ring apron to the floor! ""The Missouri Tiger" Jeff Gaylord defeats Missing Link w/Kevin Sullivan by DQ when Sullivan entered the ring & attacked Gaylord in front of the referee. They delivered a 2-1 beatdown until the Renegade Warriors ran down with baseball bats sending the 2 madmen into retreat. Chris then grabbed the house mic and informed everyone that he & his brother had just signed up for Wargames! Black Bart defeats The Assassin with the "Texas Trash Compacter" 'The Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs Norvell Austin ends in a Double C.O "British Magician" Steve Wright & Harts Afire (Bruce & Keith Hart) defeat The Commonwealth (George Barnes, Johnathan Boyd & Chris Benoit) w/JR Foley when Wright countered a Benoit German suplex attempt into a O'Connor roll with a bridge. 2-out-of-3 falls match. Winner challenges Butch Reed for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade. 1st fall: Randy Savage pins Tully Blanchard by countering the Slingshot suplex into a inside cradle. 2nd fall: Blanchard wins by c.o after Savage goes for a axehandle from the top rope to the floor but Blanchard moved out of the way sending Savage crashing into the guardrail. 3rd fall: Blanchard pinned Savage after Baby Doll slipped her "loaded" purse into the ring. Tully Blanchard is heading to Starrcade!
  10. MACW TV 11/12/1986 On Commentary:Bob Caudle & Tony Schiavone Ring Announcer:David Crockett Airing on WTBS Channel 17 from the Memorial Auditorium in Greenville SC (The show opens with footage from last weeks show in Raleigh. We see highlights showing The Midnight Rockers & The Commonwealth's path to the finals before seeing The Commonwealth winning with the help of JR Foley becoming the new NWA United States Tag Team Champions. We then cut to the opening montage set to "The Hit" by Richard Myhill before going to Caudle & Schiavone ringside) BC:Wrestling fans welcome to another episode of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, professional wrestling's most exciting hour sanctioned by the National Wrestling Alliance. I'm Bob Caudle alongside Tony Schiavone and Tony we're a bit over 2 weeks away from the NWA's Thanksgiving Extravaganza, Starrcade. TS: That's right Bob and what a event it's shaping up to be. All 3 NWA World titles will be defended as well as each territory making their own contributions and you better believe the head of each territory is determined to make sure they're the ones making the best match on the card. Tonight the Mid-Atlantic portion will begin to take shape as Nikita Koloff will be out here with a announcement regarding his NWA United States Championship. Also Mid-Atlantic has been granted the honor of sending one of our own to challenge the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion "Hacksaw" Butch Reed, we'll tell you how the challenger will be determined later this broadcast. BC: That's some exciting news Tony but before we get to far ahead of ourselves we've got a great night of wrestling in store for you tonight and it's time to head to the ring for our first match. "British Magician" Steve Wright defeats The Executioner with the "Octopus Hold" Commercial-Bob Caudle runs down the MACW House Shows for the coming week (We return to see Caudle joined by the entire Red Tide) BC: Wrestling fans my guests at this time (Nikita snatches the mic away mid-sentence) NK: No introductions necessary Comrade Caudle, even the most ignorant American can recognize the superior Russian athletes of The Red Tide. Perhaps you think having Botch Reed as your Champion means the NWA World Heavyweight Championship is safe from Nikita...but is not so. Botch Reed can only deny inevitable. Nikita WILL be NWA World Heavyweight Champion once again. But now Nikita wishes to talk about Starrcade to be held on most disgusting of American holiday, Thanksgiving. While countless spoiled Americans gather in their decadent homes, gorging themselves on the fruits of others labor, patting themselves on the back for how your ancestors stole land from the very people who saved their wretched lives. Nikita will be in the Omni in the pathetic American city of Atlanta issuing a open challenge to anyone in the entire National Wrestling Alliance who thinks they can take the United States of America Championship from Nikita. Who answers matters not as none can take this title from Nikita just as none can halt the rising of The Red Tide as Uncle Ivan & Comrade Ustinov shall demonstrate. The Red Tide defeat The Interns with a double Russian Legsweep on Intern #2 Commercial for Halloween Havoc 86 coming soon from NWA Home Video (We return to footage from Halloween Havoc showing Randy Savage & Tully Blanchard's quarterfinal match ending in a double c.o. We then cut to Caudle joined by Randy Savage & Ms Elizabeth) BC: Wrestling fans as you just saw my guest at this time "Macho Man" Randy Savage met with his fierce rival Tully Blanchard in the quarterfinals of the tournament at Halloween Havoc where tensions boiled over leading to a double c.o. Well Randy, tomorrow night in Charlotte it's you & Tully one more time but this time it's 2-out-of-3 falls with the winner challenging Butch Reed for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade. RS: You know Bob Caudle. Ever since Tully Blanchard arrived & joined up with the Horsemen he's made it his mission in life to be the thorn in the Macho Man's side yeah, been bound & determined to keep the Macho Man from reaching the mountaintop ain't ya? Well let explain something to ya Blanchard, You may tell yourself you're some kinda gatekeeper deciding who gets to hold the gold but all you really are is just something in the Macho Man's way YEAH so what's gonna happen tomorrow night is real simple, The Macho Man is gonna beat your ass 2 straight then it's on to bigger & better things. Butch Reed you better believe that the Macho Man has all the respect in the world for you. No question you earned the right to lift the ten pounds of gold after giving one of the greatest performance the Macho Man has ever seen. But make no mistake, if beating you is what it takes to become NWA World Heavyweight Champion then all the respect in the world don't mean a damn thing. I will defeat Tully Blanchard, I will become NWA World Heavyweight Champion & if have ANY doubts watch what the Macho Man does to this chump in the ring "Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Ms Elizabeth defeats Mick Foley with the "Savage Elbow" Commercial+Promo for Starrcade 86 from the Omni in Atlanta. BC:Wrestling fans welcome back and my guest at this time...woah woah you're not scheduled to be out here! (Kevin Sullivan grabs the mic from Caudle and throws him a glare that quits any further decent) KS: I don't have time to argue with you Cawdle I'm on a devine mission. Ya see i was prepared to draw this out till it ceased to amuse me but the higher powers had different plans. I received a vision. Abudadeen appeared before me, The lady with the third eye on his left & the Snake Master on his right. They have decreed it is time to end this insignificant conflict and move on to more worthy challenges. So Luger, McDaniel, Spivey grab any 2 sacrificial lambs you can find and bring them to Starrcade for that has been determined to be the site of the final battle as we lay all our enemies low (Sullivan pauses before breaking out in a smile far too big for his face) in WARGAMES!!! (Sullivan walks away cackling madly while a shaken Caudle can barely be heard sending us to the ring for our next match) The Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) defeat Cruel Connection with a double dropkick on Cruel Connection #1 Commercial-Bob Caudle runs down the card for tomorrow night in Charlotte NC Radiance (Gary Royal & Paul Roma) vs Spartanburg Vice (Jerry Bryant & "Big" Lou Winston) "Hangman" Bobby Jagers vs Savanah Jack Falls count anywhere match "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala w/JR Foley & Friday vs Mad Dog Vachon "The Missouri Tiger" Jeff Gaylord vs Missing Link w/Kevin Sullivan The Assassin vs Black Bart "The Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs Norvell Austin "British Magician" Steve Wright & Harts Afire (Bruce & Keith Hart) vs The Commonwealth (George Barnes, Johnathan Boyd & Chris Benoit) w/JR Foley 2-out-of-3 falls match. Winner faces Butch Reed for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade. "Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Ms Elizabeth vs Tully Blanchard w/Baby Doll Bell time 7pm. Tickets still available! (Before the main event gets underway Caudle informs the fans that due to pinning Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair during a tag match in Hampton Virginia during last weeks tour Harley Race will challenge for that title next week in Norfolk) "Handsome" Harley Race defeats "Dandy" Don Bass with a piledriver.
  11. Mad Dog & the Maniac ain't backing down from nobody! One of my favorite Texas All-star feuds is starting up again. Cocoa Samoa vs El Jefe now with The Cartel & Siva Afi along for the ride. Estrada' promo really sold the "I'm in charge" vibe you need from a guy calling himself El Jefe. Of course he's sending his flunkies into battle first. Tatum takes some time to partake in his favorite hobby, being a dick. Nice touch having Good and Plenty Plenty admit they probably would've lost without The Glamor Boys getting involved. So pissed at The Hollywood Blondes interrupting Gordon's big moment, although their reason for "deserving" a rematch was hilarious. Big night in St Petersburg! Especially like the layout of the Battle of the Bay. Backlund is NOT gonna be happy about not getting a chance to "educate" the people of Florida.
  12. The Universal Heartthrob & The King start us off with a wild brawl. Brito reenters the ring so he & the Wrecking Machine can win the title shot & the 100k. I like the minimalist build for Bockwinkel/Garvin. A crazy 8 man tag previews the big battle royal at SuperClash. Looking forward to seeing Henning get some Texas justice. Brenda & I don't agree on much but one thing we have in common is our fear of Ox & crew. You can always count on Larry Z to rile a crowd up. Dream Machine & Paul Jones help the Vin Man's Pitbull get a w on Mulligan. If only Blackwell had been quicker. Colon gives Steamboat a simple choice, show me some respect or I'll show you how much damage a kendo stick can do!
  13. McIntyre keeps on rolling. Might this be a new direction for Lady Apache. The Nasty Girls are making quite the case for that title match. In the span of 2 matches Moretti goes from 3 belts to no belts! Congratulations to Babyface Nellie.
  14. Furnas is off to a Strong start! Get it?... *crickets* I'll show myself out. Tommy starts paying his "cousins" back by screwing them against Starr Power. Street withstands Stomper but I got a feeling he's gonna have a lot more to deal with considering 10k is at stake. Cobra takes the champ into the deep water but Prichard is too devious & escapes with the gold. Armstrong silences Travis but once again runs afoul of El Cabong! Good thing The Bullet was around to give Dundee a helping hand against the Slick Stable. Speaking of whom, Fuller & Golden win the tag titles! I'll never doubt the Slickster again. JYD delivers the Thump to Killer Khan! Now there's a show-ending visual.
  15. MACW Live @ Asheville Civic Center in Asheville NC 11/9/1986 "The Electrifying" Ben Bassarab defeats a local talent with a Flying Bodypress. The Hangmen (Bobby Jagers & Dirty Rhodes) defeat Radiance (Gary Royal & Paul Roma) The Assassin defeats Mad Dog Vachon with a loaded headbutt. "Dangerous" Dan Spivey & Missing Link fought to a double DQ. The Red Tide (Ivan Koloff & Soldat Ustinov) defeat The Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) when Koloff hit Michaels with the chain behind the referee's back. The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/"Precious" Paul Ellering defeat Spectral Hand (Kevin Sullivan & The Great Kabuki) with the "Doomsday Device" on Kabuki.
  16. MACW House Show results for 11/7/1986 MACW Live @ Hampton Roads Coluseam in Hampton VA "Dandy" Don Bass defeats a local talent with a lariat. Rocky King defeats Savanah Jack with a DDT. The Barbarian defeats Billy Two Eagles with a big boot. Spartanburg Vice (Jerry Bryant & "Big" Lou Winston) defeat The Red Tide (Ivan Koloff & Soldat Ustinov) with the "Spartanburg Special" to Ustinov. Missing Link defeats "Chief" Wahoo McDaniel following interference from The Barbarian. Road Warrior Animal defeats "Prince of Australia" George Barnes (no Foley) with a powerslam. Steel cage match "Handsome" Harley Race & "Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Ms Elizabeth defeat Four Horsemen (Ric Flair & Tully Blanchard) w/JJ Dillon & Baby Doll when Race countered a figure four attempt into a inside cradle! After the bell Race grabbed the house mic and challenged Flair to a match for the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship! MACW Live @ Civic Center in Roanoke VA Mike "Action" Jackson & Mick Foley wrestle to a 10 minute time limit draw. Dirty Rhodes defeats "Pretty" Paul Roma with a "Bionic Elbow" "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala w/JR Foley & Friday defeats George South with "Air Africa" "The Missouri Tiger" Jeff Gaylord defeats The Warlord with a spear. Kevin Sullivan defeats "Downtown" Denny Brown with the "Devil Stomp" The Posse (Dick Slater, Black Bart & Bobby Jagers) defeat Brutha's in Arms (Shaska Whatley, Tiger Conway Jr & Norvell Austin) when Bart pinned Conway with the "Texas Trash Compacter"
  17. Slick's Stable makes a successful debut & promise more gold in the near future. Brad is ready to teach Billy Joe a lesson. Starr Corporation is back with a vengeance! Speaking of vengeance, Dusty clearly has it on his mind. So Madril wins a 10k wager match then that exact amount is offered as a bounty on Adrian Street who's been messing with Madril for weeks...who could be responsible for this? Starr Power sounds like a team Sherri would manage. Might wanna keep Lance away from Madril though. Mobile is in for a treat on Monday. Taylor's run as tv champ continues with a win over the DWB. Who the hell would want to team with Tommy Rich? "Wild" Bill makes the perfect Desperado. Between them & the post match attack by Fuller & Golden The Nightmares had a rough night.
  18. First Vancouver. Simmons spears The Cowboy for a win in the opener. Guerrero outsmarts Double J. The Brigade score a big win over Los Guerreros on route to their tag title shot. R.I.P Thundercats. Bubba wins a slugfest to retain his belt. Ya know, sooner or later "Easy Ed" is gonna get tired of his Buddy leaving him high and dry. On to Kelowna. Severn chokes out Hito in a mask style opening. Masked Avenger shows Douglas he has a way to go before he's the "Franchise" The surprising team of Adams & Steamboat get one over on Gary Hart International. Missy Hyatt is seriously doing her clients a disservice. Candido must've been thanking God for that time limit expiring. Everyone else may be caught up in Smothers & Victory's catfights but my eye is on the Bomb Squad.
  19. MACW takes Jerry Sags and drops out l.
  20. Nice recap of Halloween Havoc. Watts puts in work to start the show. Congratulating the new champions, announcing 2 massive matches for Houston & resolving the bounty situation. I wish I could've heard Reed's promo on being the first black World Champion. Rock n Roll RPM's are turning into serious heat magnets. It's only natural they start something with Robert's brother. The Patriots lack of cohesion cost them the titles & 50k. I like the thing with Ladd & the pennies. Fast Count Fergie strikes again! The Andersons retain after some quick thinking by Double A. Hope DiBiase & Williams can regroup. Murdoch wins what is essentially a 2-1 handicap match to get a shot at the man who helped him win it. I hope the sportsmanship displayed in the promo carries over to the match.
  21. The British Bomber arrives with a boom. Lighting Strikes The Thunderfoots. Kernodle shows Steve O why he's Number 1. I wonder what Paul Jones thinks of him using that name? Another wild one between The Olympians & The Union. Charland wrecks "Iron" McGee...with a little help from Brito. Idol shows Lawler the kind of tricks he'll have to deal with at SuperClash. And it's 3-3! As if SuperClash wasn't stacked enough now we're getting the tiebreaker between Rock n Roll & The Fabs!
  22. MACW Live @ Dorton Arena in Raleigh NC 11/6/1986 NWA United States Tag Team Championship Tournament First Round matches. The Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) defeat The Assassins with a double dropkick to Assassin #1 The Red Tide (Ivan Koloff & Soldat Ustinov) defeat Spartanburg Vice (Jerry Bryant & "Big" Lou Winston) when Koloff entered the ring illegally & hit Bryant with the "Russian Sickle" while the ref was escorting Winston out of the ring. Harts Afire (Bruce & Keith Hart) defeat Brutha's in Arms (Shaska Whatley & Tiger Conway Jr) Conway tried to introduce the ring bell but Dirty Rhodes came down to ringside & took it from him. As Conway was arguing with Rhodes Keith came up behind him & performed a O'Connor roll for the win. The Commonwealth (George Barnes & Jonathan Boyd) w/JR Foley defeat The Hangmen (Bobby Jagers & Dirty Rhodes) following a distraction caused by Whatley & Conway trying to rush the ring. "British Magician" Steve Wright & Chris Benoit w/JR Foley wrestled to a 20 minute time limit draw. Fans noticed that Foley was unusually restrained in performance, limiting his involvement to shouting instructions & encouragement to his man. The result is a highly technical match that the fans enthralled by the end. After the result was announced Wright offered Benoit a handshake which was begrudgingly accepted. When Foley extended his hand however Wright simply shook his head & left alone. tournament semifinals The Midnight Rockers defeat The Red Tide when Michaels pinned Ustinov off a "superkick" The Commonwealth w/JR Foley defeat Harts Afire when Foley passed Boyd a foreign object which he hit Bruce with as Foley distracted the ref. "Total Package" Lex Luger vs Missing Link w/Kevin Sullivan never got started as Link & Sullivan attacked Luger as soon as he entered the ring. Over the next few minutes The Great Kabuki, The Powers of Pain, Dan Spivey, Wahoo McDaniel & The Renegade Warriors all entered the ring for a pull apart brawl that took the entire security detail to break up. Tournament Finals The Commonwealth w/JR Foley defeat The Midnight Rockers. Towards the end Jannetty had Barnes pinned off a cross-body off the top but the referee was trying to separate Michaels & Boyd who were brawling in the corner. As this was happening Foley entered the ring, struck Jannetty with his army helmet, rolled Barnes on top of Jannetty & exited the ring just as Boyd & Michaels spilled through the ropes allowing the ref to turn around & count the 1...2...3!!! Winners and NEW NWA United States Tag Team Champions: The Commonwealth!
  23. Luscious Lanny, Woman & Man arrive in Florida! Gordy must've been so thrilled! Glamor Boys vs Highwaymen 2 out 3 falls in St Petersburg? I'm sold! El Jefe rolls up & the first thing he does is pay 5k just to break somebody's arm! Now THAT'S how you debut a heel faction! Another week, another banging Solie/Akbar exchange. The event in St Petersburg is shaping up well. Curious about "The Battle at the Bay" Spoiler & Texas Red throw the gauntlet down, No dq, no count outs in St Petersburg! Solie throws out one hell of a hook for next week. What IS Bob Backlund doing in Florida?
  24. MACW TV Friday November 5th 1986 On Commentary:Bob Caudle & Tony Schiavone Ring Announcer:David Crockett Airing from the Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg SC. (We see a series of still shots showing the highlights of Halloween Havoc. We see shots of all the champions holding up their titles finishing on Butch Reed raising the NWA World Heavyweight Championship high. We then see the opening montage set to "The Hit" by Richard Myhill before going to Caudle & Schiavone) BC:Wrestling fans welcome to another episode of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, professional wrestling's most exciting hour sanctioned by the National Wrestling Alliance. I'm Bob Caudle alongside Tony Schiavone and Tony people cannot stop talking about the amazing night of action we had at Halloween Havoc. TS: And i can't blame them Bob. Halloween Havoc was on of the greatest nights of wrestling i for one ever had the privilege to witness. We here at Mid-Atlantic send our heartfelt congratulations to the NEW NWA World Heavyweight Champion "Hacksaw" Butch Reed! We'll be looking forward to having him visit the MACW area as soon as his schedule permits. But fans who you won't have to see is the NEW NWA World Tag Team Champions The Minnesota Wrecking Crew they'll be here later tonight, no doubt they'll have a lot to say. BC: That they will i have no doubt plus a big announcement regarding the NWA United States Tag Team Titles they currently hold. But before we get to all that let's head to the ring for our opening contest. "British Magician" Steve Wright defeats Mick Foley with a modified abdominal stretch that Caudle called a "Octopus Hold" -Bob Caudle runs down the MACW House Shows for the coming week. BC:Wrestling fans welcome back to Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and my guests at this time are the new NWA World Tag Team champions, Arn & Ole Anderson, The Minnesota Wrecking Crew! (The Andersons come out each holding a NWA World Tag Title in one hand & a NWA United States Tag Title in the other. They seem to be absolutely relishing the boos from the crowd) BC: Gentlemen congratulations are certainly in order... OA: You're damn right they are Caudle! Week after week The Andersons came out here and told you exactly what we'd do as soon as we got a shot at this belts. We told you it was just a matter of time before we took our rightful place at the top of the tag division and we did exactly that! These belts make it official that Arn & I are the greatest tag team on planet earth so all you nobodies here in (Ole pauses as if trying to recall something, complete with snapping his fingers) tiny little noname town had better start showing us & the rest of the Horsemen the respect we're due! BC: Well I hate to rain on your parade but there's the matter of the NWA United States Tag Team Titles. AA: I'm gonna stop you right there Caudle because we know precisely what you're getting at. Ya see folks, these aren't called WORLD titles because it's great for marketing. These belts come with commitments. Ole & myself have to be ready to fly from here to England to Mexico to Japan & back at a moments notice. So as proud as we are to hold these titles we have no choice but give them up. OA: And to whoever wins the tournament they've set up tomorrow night in Raleigh just understand, you've got the biggest boots in wrestling to fill. Now if you'll excuse us Caudle The Horsemen ain't done celebrating! (The Andersons leave to massive heat) Radiance (Gary Royal & Paul Roma) defeat The Gladiators with double neckbreaker on Gladiator #1 Commercial )Caudle is joined by Royal & Roma. Royal says the moment he saw Roma he knew he'd be a perfect fit for Radiance & Embry & Somers couldn't agree more. Roma says he's relieved to finally find men he can call peers in this business.Says it's just a matter of time till he & Gary bring even more gold to Radiance & prove they're not just the best looking group in wrestling they're also the most talented) Missing Link w/Kevin Sullivan defeats "Stray Cat" Brodie Chase with a jumping headbutt. Commercial (Caudle is joined by Jr Foley. Foley says he was thrilled to see a proper British wrestler earlier in Steve Wright. Says Wright would be a perfect fit for his army but he anticipated that Wright would require proof that it was worth the trouble. So that's why tomorrow night in Raleigh he's taken the liberty to arrange a match between Wright & his prodigy Chris Benoit. He's confident that his leadership shall lead Benoit to victory & that Wright will make the obvious choice afterwards. "Dangerous" Dan Spivey defeats The Shadow (Norvell Austin in a mask) with a powerbomb. Commercial-Bob Caudle runs down the card for tomorrow night in Raleigh. NWA United States Tag Team Championship Tournament First Round The Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) vs The Assassins (1&2) Spartanburg Vice (Jerry Bryant & "Big" Lou Winston) vs The Red Tide (Ivan Koloff & Soldat Ustinov) Harts Afire (Bruce & Keith) vs Brutha's in Arms (Shaska Whatley & Tiger Conway Jr) The Hangmen (Bobby Jagers & Dirty Rhodes) vs The Commonwealth (George Barnes & Jonathan Boyd) w/JR Foley Non tournament matches "British Magician" Steve Wright vs Chris Benoit w/JR Foley "Total Package" Lex Luger vs Missing Link w/Kevin Sullivan Bell time 7pm. Tickets on sale now! Spartanburg Vice (Jerry Bryant & "Big" Lou Winston) defeat Powers of Pain (The Barbarian & The Warlord) when Winston pulled Warlord into a backslide with a dropkick assist from Bryant.
  25. The King is ready for his National title match but with no rules Idol could have anything in store. A successful debut for The Thunderfoots. Putski stands up for himself well enough but can he get it done when it counts? Bruise Brothers are going to SuperClash! Snuka & Cabin Fever save 3 lives but can they withstand the onslaught at SuperClash? The Fabs are still confident despite recent setbacks. A couple of solid promos during Britton's update. I especially like Priceless sending theirs in from the beach. Canek & Haystacks don't wanna wait until SuperClash! Frankly I don't either. Idol is sure milking that injury. Jones certainly is nervous, you'd almost think he didn't have faith in Dream Machine. Family friend Henning secures the win in the 8 man tag. Colon sends us off with a dire warning to the champion. Damn SuperClash is stacked to the damn ceiling.
