That was a show, I guess. Opened strong and then the rest of the show after the 6 man tag sure sounded like they were using fake crowd noise and it was just a typical boring WWE show. definitely not tuning in next week or for lol Raw.

It very clearly was just a thin piece of plywood AEW has got to do something about either working with TNT or changing their match formats because commercial breaks are fucking brutal and it's almost every match on the show. In fact it might actually be every match on the show has an ad break. PIP bullshit does not help at all. Also these mfs really missed the shot of the first Sting misses Stinger Splash on guard rail spot on Turner Television in 20+ years.

He's been in his prime for like....16-17 years, minus the injury and retirement years. He has multiple peaks, but I really think he's been in his prime since like 2005 and has yet to fall out of it.

1. Cornette/Russo are far more similar than they are different and I believe that's the main reason they hate each other so much. 2. A heel saying something like that after a fan jump the railing is not something to read the riot act over, imo. Especially as AEW has actually done worked angles with fans throwing shit or trying to attack MJF previously, I wouldn't at all be surprised if it was a plant this time a well.

I can't think of too many examples of that beyond Hogan, Piper, and Bret. I'm sure there are others, but I think we can agree those are pretty unique situations and talents. I also do not at all see how Bobby Heenan fits into Ruthless Aggression era WWE other than some lol cameos or doing Confidential with Mean Gene.

But....Brain did come back for multiple appearances after WCW was bought. Including multiple WM appearances. I'm sure he would have made more appearances if his health had been better.

There's no way Hogan was off the gas by 1988-1989. He had noticeably dropped size and bloat between Rumble 1992 and WM 8 and was way lighter when he came back in 1993 and his WCW, but definitely was still on gear in 1988-1991. He also got pretty big again by the end of his WCW run and was definitely back on something in his WWE return but was working and eating better so he didn't have the huge puffiness to him that he had during his peak Hulkamania run. I personally would really doubt he ever was fully off anything.
