  1. They are supposed to get heat, but I don't at all think the gimmick is terrible raps you boo because they're bad. It's not Miz and Morrison.
  2. Disagree on the Cena raps, but it was a different era. They're utterly childish, homophobic, embarrassing trash, not unlike Caster's whole deal today.
  3. Raw is pure death, SD mostly sucks, too from what I've seen. NXT being better than those shows when the main narrative about NXT for almost it's entire existence is "it's better than the main roster shows" isn't particularly impressive these days. There's just no energy from the crowd or the talent even if there are still good matches. AEW even during the no fans period still had more energy and life most of the time, and now that they're back to full crowds it is a complete blow out. NXT has and has had for quite some time that same stale death and lack of enthusiasm feeling from the talent that Raw/SD has had for ages.
  4. The death of Dusty was definitely the start of a NXT losing its way. It was more than just booking. It was the promos and character work and Dusty's general presence had such a massive impact on the talent that has not been replicated by anyone they've brought in since. There was definitely a very clear change from mostly developing talent to bringing in and focusing on established outside talent that was starting to become a more regular thing in the 6 months or so before Dusty died, but accelerated almost immediately upon his passing. It's not just the loss of Dusty, but also becoming big enough that they couldn't just kind of be off in the corner doing their own stuff that people might or might not see. To me, NXT really starts to get cold around the 3rd Takeover in a row headlined by Ciampa vs Gargano, which was concurrently happening with the start of Shayna's death reign that just sucked the air out of every event when she'd cleanly choke out whoever was super popular and hot for the next year and a half. Then you get to the USA era, which has the double whammy of keeping people who should have moved on long ago on the show (Gargano, Ciampa, all of TUE guys) and also moving to two hours. THEN the pandemic on top of all of that. The aesthetic also fucking sucks. That shitty fight club bullshit mixed with terrible metal and HHH's love of skulls.
  5. HHH smart for a wrestler who politicked into the office. Not smart in a legitimate corporate environment with true corporate sharks.
  6. Tbh I could see Khan just straight up getting rid of HHH all together in the event Vince retires or sells and puts him in charge.
  7. Sounds like she's still booked as a mid card comedy character and having the title is part of the Charlotte/Rhea story, not hers
  8. The Nikki Cross thing just seems like a harmless mid card comedy character not unlike The Hurricane. From what I've seen, by far the most annoying part of it is the announcers insisting on saying "A.S.H" after her name every single time.
  9. Is Ole in any condition to be wheeled out somewhere for a full blown Four Horsemen reunion on Turner Networks. Last I heard, Flair and Arn aren't even on speaking terms and Ole hasn't been on speaking terms with any of them since the mid 90s. Don't know what Tully's dynamics are with Flair and/or Ole.
  10. He's certainly in a great spot because WWE will absolutely throw the bag at him to keep him from AEW and AEW will likely make a very sizable offer as well.
  11. They had one real good match at New Years Revolution 2006 and other than that I literally can't remember any singles matches between them over those 20 years.
  12. There's a track that's been played dozens of times per judo event in the Olympics and it sounds like it is ripped straight from one of the AKI games and I love it. Need to find it out what it is.
  13. Some people really were into that shit. I think ALL of the Fiend and Alexa stuff has been some of the absolute worst and most embarrassing shit I have ever seen in wrestling, any company, any era. And I've only seen it in highlight packages at PPVs where they make it look the best it can possibly look.
  14. What a truly hilarious turn of events
  15. Saw on Reddit that the starter of the original sleaze thread was a poster named....Coach Tony K. Lol. I was reading through it (although I remember the CZW Fans version more than the DVDVR one) and actually a lot of it seemed to be true and a number of things in that thread ended up getting DSOTR episodes. Just want to believe that Tony Khan actually was the starter of the Sleaze Thread.
  16. I'm sure she's also being harassed by weirdos who for some reason blame her for stealing his gimmick or something
  17. I think about half of the releases make sense as they were people who had been around forever and long ago hit their ceiling and they weren't going to be used for anything important ever again (if they ever were at all). Breezango, IIconics, Lana, Chelsea Greene, even Ruby Riott to some degree (although I think that was a bad cut as the women's division very much needs someone as solid as her right now) all make sense as cuts to me. Murphy, Black, Braun, Andrade definitely do not.
  18. If he was prepping a return and they were already advertising him, then it definitely feels like a "fuck it he's worked once in 8 months and we have Bliss doing his gimmick anyway" decision.
  19. Seems like Brodie's death really fucked him up. I'm sure he's a guy WWE will always welcome back with open arms when he's ready to come back if they actually did release him.
  20. I did. I was just pointing out his MACW squashes are top tier beat the fuck out of jobbers territory
  21. I think a Sarge deep dive is incomplete without watching him beat the ever loving dogshit out of jobbers on Mid Atlantic TV in 1981-1982
  22. Honestly it's amazing how good of a job they've done with Page considering at the start of AEW he was clearly the least cared about member of The Elite by a large margin and very clearly was not ready for the spot they were trying to plug him into. Two years of a slow burn on him and now people are talking about how crazy it is to pass him up for Bryan and Punk. Britt Baker's turn around is the only thing that compares really, although since she's actually had the title it's been real sketchy. There's been a LOT of stuff in AEW that just feels like one off or meaningless or just treading water for weeks/months, so I really hope they stick the landing with Page.
  23. I feel like Page's story can still be stretched out a bit and reach the proper crescendo, but not too much longer. Anymore big profile losses regardless of circumstances going forward I think will only get a negative reaction and get people losing interest. Full Gear is in early November and I don't think they can push it past that no matter what is going on with Kenny/Punk/Bryan in the meantime.
  24. Juiced to the tits Viking Brock in freakshow fights in Asia sounds a million times better than another WWE run
