    CM Punk Fired

I suppose hyperbole doesn't come through well in text format. My bad. I do feel like the "performative outrage" is on both sides if it is there at all. I don't really see a lot of outrage just differing opinions that are sometimes right and sometimes wrong.

    CM Punk Fired

I'm reading through this thread and stuff like this is just amazing at this point. If you want to strengthen your argument you shouldn't be comparing Punk to a rapist and someone who made life hell by all accounts from a lot of people involved in all of those films. Saying they should have kept Punk is deeply selfish and shows a lack of interest in anyone else in the entire AEW company. This isn't meant as a call out to you specifically but most of or at least half of this board has become deeply pro-Punk for really no apparent reason besides liking his "wrestling philosophy." Going through his MANY scandals and backstage difficulties this board could always be relied upon say that everything that made Punk look bad was a work and everything that made him look good was a shoot and those goddamn elite are the worst human beings this side of Franco. AEW existed and was succeeding. Punk came in. Problems began and increased in magnitude and frequency. It's never been clearer that a problem needed to be excised and TK probably should have done it sooner. Watching AEW was actively difficult whenever Punk was on screen even though I did tend to appreciate his in-ring style. What a smug, difficult, rotten bastard. I'm glad he's gone and can't attempt to kill another coworker.
  3. I don't know if its trying to add heat anymore. That's been the theory on here for a bit now but every time a report comes out its mostly true. All the Sammy Guevara stuff, the CM Punk stuff and more I don't remember. There's just bad vibes in that locker room
  4. I've really loved Kiyomiya's G1. His match with Kidd today was awesome and his work has been maybe the strongest consistently across the G1.
  5. Komander and Claudio are like a dream match made in heaven.
  6. Another counterpoint. No way to be sure Punk has reached out after the fact, as when he returned he immediately put down the Elite in a promo and his previous inability to reach out was the reason he became such a sour-puss that he tried to burn crucial parts of the company down.
  7. MJF saying he's a big fan of Vince McMahon left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Instead of mentioning like "Papa H", he endorses the now-proven rapist to get boos. Obviously the rapist part wasn't what Max was talking about but its too bad that as a community most wrestlers/fans have already if not forgiven then easily forgotten Vince's many, many sins. Even after he got ousted for them, now that he's back people are returning to business as usual. Too bad.
  8. Agree with everyone here this was a great Dynamite. Claudio/Fenix was a great opener and Fenix continually does some of the coolest things I've seen in wrestling. I like Garcia more than a lot of people here and I thought the Orange match was great. However, I do agree with some of the presentation critiques. When he was the Red Death, his performances were more animalistic and guttural and when he wrestled his presence along with his weird styles of movement provided a really unique perspective to me. The sports entertainment gimmick has muted his more unique aspects and made him more regular. Besides those opening matches, loved the Christian promo, think it's a great presentation change to have the House of Black matches in a blacked-out arena, and the main event was fantastic.
  9. You have seemingly adjusted what I have to believe was your once normal and well-adjusted life to being against "outrage" which I must believe you associate with wokeness and the liberal mob. From reading through page 143 of this specific forum, I have seen brain rot take place right before my very eyes. You are defending the WWE from the Auschwitz Memorial. At one point you say that if this is offensive for the WWE to use, then Auschwitz should not be represented in any media. How does that make any sense? This was stock footage for a dumb video package about a wrestling storyline. Some Holocaust media honestly intends to educate and represent what is one of the greatest tragedies of human history. Another point you made I have quoted here. You seem to suggest that the Auschwitz Memorial is calling out the WWE for nefarious purposes in order to promote their business. Once again, how does that make any sense? This is one of the most celebrated memorials in the world. This memorial has honestly tried to uphold the memory of all who were lost in the Holocaust for decades now. The last point that you made that bothered me was that it was more distasteful that individuals were even allowed to take pictures if they visited Auschwitz as opposed to the billion dollar company either mistakenly or purposefully putting stock footage of a photo of Auschwitz in their video package for how Rey Mysterio's son was in the U.S. penal system. Lastly, how does that make any sense? What people do when they visit memorials is up to them to decide as I'm sure you would agree since I can almost fully bet you're a libertarian (unless you'll admit you're more right-wing than that). And if you won't agree that people should be able to remember a place that is incredibly important in 21st century history through photographic images, then maybe you can admit that you should have the same issue with the WWE using a photo as you do with regular people taking one. But obviously, it's much more vital for you and easy to blame individuals as opposed to corporations. If I had your mindset when viewing the world it would drive me crazy. If I really believed that everything had a second side, that maybe the sexual abuser was right every time some new person was "cancelled", that maybe the Auschwitz Memorial was an evil empire propped up by countries to get into twitter beefs to keep the Holocaust "relevant", I would honestly lose my mind. I'm trying to communicate to you that you don't need to take the other side on every issue. Sometimes things are black and white. And your efforts to fight "outrage" and "wokeness" are really just defending people and things that should be held accountable for their behavior or actions. You don't need to run defense all the time. If you waited for issues that really did have a second side, not only would when you choose to post things on this board would they matter more and be taken more seriously but your life could be more full not choosing to wake every morning in an attempt to trigger the woke libs.
  10. Well it's not only Jericho who Punk has issues with. Punk has problems with all the top guys in the company. The dude is just a straight-up locker room cancer.
  11. Danielson vs. Bandido was incredible.
  12. As a fellow RYMer this is an L take. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, and R.E.M. all released some of the best music ever in the 90s.

    AEW TV 12/21-23

Well at least Aleister can wrestle but the spooky shit is pretty mid.
  14. Dude I hate to say this but you don't have to keep watching. AEW is clearly causing you stress.
  15. All of AEW's ppvs since Revolution 2021 have gotten over 100,000 ppv buys while TNA topped out at about 60,000. Already much more successful than TNA was.
