I have had 3 conversations with random posters who love the microscope. I think it is my favorite forum as well. I also have had emails of guys picking up yearbooks just so they can participate in the yearbook forum. after tomorrow, I hope the AWA podcast generates interest and we'll see how PWORadio works out when we figure out the format we are going to use.

Corino discusses his weight gain in either a podcast (Cabana's?) or a shoot interview. He was told to gain weight to get a push in Zero One. he started eating to put on the pounds but when Hashimoto died, so did the idea he would be brought in regularly. I am sure a pro nerd can check the timeline to see if that is accurate.

The only person who came to mind for too many TV matches with little or no quality was Kane. Not saying Kane doesn't have decent TV matches. Saying the ratio isn't good. All the weird creepy Kane fans can let this go or put it in the Kane thread. It is totally unfair that you can get away with saying things like "weird creepy Kane fans" when everyone thinks I'm breathing fire when I am anything less than a perfect gentleman. "Oh, that Will, so funny." "Jeez, why is Loss getting so bent out of shape?" Who called you out for getting bent out of shape? Why does it matter? I didn't get away with anything because obviously it bothered you enough to comment on it. Nobody even said my comment was funny. If they wanted to address it, they were welcome to take it to the Kane thread where I would simply ignore it because I don't want to discuss Kane. I have Regal, Lawler and AWA matches to discuss!!! Pretty sad that you hate the board right now because I have heard nothing but high praise on how it has operated the last month. I have had a blast posting here lately.

I don't know about his work as Honky Tonk Man but I have enjoyed plenty of Blonde Bomber era Ferris.

Exposer, I wasn't talking about main event matches. I was specifically talking about matches that were given time to develop. When given the time, I feel Regal produced. I was wondering why we were arguing because i know you are a Regal fan.

No it doesn't. The talking point is as old as "Brody was a great brawle"r or "HBK was a first ballot Hall of Famer" etc. If Regal doesn't do the things you want a wrestler to do in PPV matches or Main Event matches, then maybe he isn't the wrestler for you. I know some people that don't like his style of wrestling. They don't think he could sustain that style for more than 15 minutes. I have loved most of the 20+ minute Regal matches I have seen. I have detailed here and elsewhere why I feel that way.

People are going to get edgy. We can all be assholes but I prefer heated discussion to a nice warm campfire kumbaya.

Over the last couple of weeks I have talked to several people who are really happy with the way PWO is shaping up. Lots of love for the microscope and the yearbook folders are as active as ever. Here's a chance to sound off on your compliments and criticisms of the board. If you make a suggestion, we will discuss it but it doesn't guarantee we will necessarily make the changes you prefer. You have a voice... USE IT!!!

Which is strange because Phil has already reviewed several legitimately great/epic matches for his REGAL OF THE DAY at Segunda Caida. The "Regal wasn't good at big matches" talking point isn't a valid one.

I think that sometimes the brutality of the match is the story.

I have not seen much of Regal in WWE, but this is something I tend to agree with. He's so good at the mechanics and filling his matches with cool stuff not often seen with other US workers that it tends to hide or overshadow some of his shortcomings in other areas. I just saw the Arn match and while the work was good, the match felt somewhat disjointed. I think Regal was probably better suited for shorter 10-12 TV matches than 20+ minute main events because he seemed to struggle filling time while connecting different parts of a match. Couldn't disagree more. Phil and I were never bored or not entertained by what these guys were doing for the entire 30 minutes. I think the Hash match went long as well in 1995 and I don't think there were any gaps that indicated Regal couldn't work long.

I was always under the impression that he wasn't in the HOF because of Bruiser Brody. Being that the WO is a very Brody friendly environment, the guy who helped cover up his murder isn't going to get lots of votes. There have been podcasts where Colon was mentioned and people have indicated they would not vote for him because of the Brody murder. Am I wrong?
