  1. It was an unreasonable request. Warn them that if they missed the show that there would be repercussions. If they make the show, perform the best they can then no harm, no foul. The only thing that TNA should have done was say that the blizzard may prevent them from making the show and if that happens, they would lose their jobs. There is no reason to play big brother. Those guys are adults. They def. showed more class than Hardy or Waltman by honoring BOTH of their commitments.
  2. They didn't miss the show. There should be no punishment.
  3. It is the complete version from Barnett's raw footage.
  4. Actually, nevermind... since my comps pick up where those leave off except for the first disc.
  5. Hell, kind of makes my NWA 80s comps obsolete.
  6. I have heard of them. Never saw them though
  7. I am not going to judge your star rating because all of us have grown in the last three years but there is no way that is only a 3 star match. That is easy **** territory.
  8. I am making some NWA Comps for DA. However, I did not plan on keeping them. If enough people are interested in them, or get ahold of me before I send them to DA, I will make copies. Let me know. 9. Rock N Roll Express vs. Ivan Koloff and Kruscher Kruschev 7-9-85 Tim kept pimping this match to me and I was always too busy to just sit back and watch it. Well, I took the time to watch it.... twice. I had a longer review worked out but I need to structure it better. Still, lets just say this is one of the best tag matches of the 1980s and probably in my Top 10 NWA matches.
  10. I remember a "What are you watching" thread and I had the exact same thoughts. The match was nothing but the commentary was compelling. It was almost as if Vader and Bret knew Shawn would be burying them so why bother? One of my few regrets with this set was the inability to pick up a high quality version of It's Time. Oh well, maybe next time.
  11. Mort, JR did suck and did need to go.... but that was more of a reflection of being burned out and having to get over a shitty product more than it had to do with him not being capable. Also, it isn't that JR left but rather how he left.
  12. To be fair, Tenay would shill the shittiest of shit that WCW would throw out on TV each week. He could become a whore to McMahon's pimp without much coaching. As for Styles, I don't care for him my self but the biggest problem I have noticed with the announce team is how crowded it is. Maybe if Styles was allowed to be play by play man with someone doing color, the vibe would be different. However, you can bet your ass that Lawler and Coach are going for the throat on this one because if the company can trash JR on the way out, they know they wouldn't hesitate to do it to them.

  16. Fair enough. If you read the 100? 150? 200? thread, I almost stated word for word your exact thoughts on the number of wrestlers being included.
  17. No one said you had to participate. I just threw out the offer.
  18. I agree about the phrasing of the poll. In fact, I had a 2 page argument over it. However, lists like this can be fun and it''s an open invite to participate.
  19. I think we have quite a few knowledgeableposters here so, if you are interested, go sign up over at Smarkschoice and take part in the greatest Wrestlers poll. Ask Famous Mortimer or Rob Edwards to sign you up. http://www.smarkschoice.com/forum/
  20. I have been thinking about it for a week and the sad thing is I would have no finisher because I would be like the Mulkeys, looking up at the lights everytime... except for that one time when a Gladiator tripped over his partner and they scored the fluke win. THat would be my finisher... the fluke win.
  21. I watched parts of RAW the past couple of weeks and the PPVs up until Survivor Series the last couple of weeks and I want to know where you get these "half the audience" is booing Cena. It is undeniable that a large vocal group is booing him but I wouldn't say half. It isnt like the height of the nWo where an entire crowd would be cheering for the nWo. I hear a loud vocal minority booing him, not half the audience.
  22. I would have to get the Dusty set just to see the original Wargames on DVD. PLus, he really does have a fascinating story. For the 2nd Flair set, I can see them planning for a Christmas release to capitalize on holiday sales since the first one did so well. I think a Roddy Piper set would only be worth it if it includes Portland footage. You can almost guarantee the dog collar amtch will be on there but that is already out on DVD. I am really shocked they would do a Pillman disc before an Owen disc set. I think it would be the 2nd time that Bret would work with Vince to insure that OWen's memory wasn't messed with either.
  23. Does WWE have the brackets already listed or just the matches? Also, I am pretty sure Shane O Mac or Vince will cost HBK the victory.
  24. I dunno, I wouldn't fear a Michinoku Driver, it's just a bodyslam with the person delivering the move sitting on his ass. I'd fear TAKA not being able to lift me with his 12 year old girl arms, but the actual move wouldn't be bad. Then you have never seen the move executed properly because the Michinoku Driver is a devastating finishing move. It may be a bodyslam in the No Mercy game but it is actually a head spike into a pinning combo.
  25. Speaking of which, I started a thread and abandoned it awhile back about Vince and his stupidity. It may now be time to run a new thread that chronicles the insanity.
