  1. Sleaze is the only one I see talk up this match. It's Misawa's first title defense after the great as ever Kobashi win, and it's a strong feather if you're arguing either Misawa or Death as best of that year. It's a great Selling match, both selling within character the whole 30 minutes. Doc's punch drunk empty eyes are theatrical and look like genuine reactions to some of Misawa's hardest ever elbows. The way he's absentmindedly pawing at his hair for the last half makes it feel like he was asking what time they went on backstage, after. It's got a great story of Misawa outlasting a tiring Death and I found the visibly tiring Death to be an excellent role. The way he would lash out turned more desperate and his gradual slowdown was incredibly paced. I like that this didn't have a cleanly escalating build to the finish. It might have hurt the crowd noise, but I found myself drawn in by the story told. A great Misawa match, a great example of Doc's '97 versatility. Maybe Taue was better that year, but that's it.
  2. They're working a Rikio/Takayama 2003 NOAH match and it got better the longer they did that
  3. That match was a let down
  4. Was going to make the same joke. Needs more 3M or Roshfrans.
  5. Bad choice having such a long heat segment on Lita. Things got instantly better once Trish tagged in.
  6. Logan Paul is an incredible pro wrestler.
  7. I haven't seen a WWE show since Elimination Chamber but I'm doing a live blog. The tag match was good. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2023/04/wwe-wrestlemania-39-night-one-live-blog.html
  8. Theory is one of the all time weirdest pushed guys
  9. I'm doing a Live Blog over at Segunda Caida Live Blog Live! I'm really excited for how excited people are for this show.
  10. I'm doing a live blog at Segunda Caida. I haven't watched a current WWE show since last year's WrestleMania. 15 entrants in, it looks like the roster hasn't changed since 2021. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2023/01/wwe-royal-rumble-12823-live-blog.html

    Survivor Series 2021

I'm sure McAfee just doesn't actually NEED this gig and is more ungovernable for it. I think he's the only good WWE announcer of the past several years.

I thought Andrade almost always made it look good. Charlotte makes it look like George Costanza running through pigeons.

    Survivor Series 2021

I think I am generally more positive than negative, but I don't think it's hyperbole to say this is one of the most difficult eras to be Actually Excited About WWE. They keep getting rid of some of my favorite guys in needlessly mean ways, and it's hard to keep enjoying that kind of company. I don't know much of this card as I haven't been even skimming a lot of their TV for a couple months, BUT...as always I hope for a good show: https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2021/11/wwe-survivor-series-live-blog-112121.html
  14. Sheamus/Big E had a great wild violent garbage brawl last year
  15. Opener and tag match were good, but didn't hit the levels they could have. Jey Uso and Montez Ford looked great, and Lashley looked like a beast in the opener.
  16. I thought Carmella looked pretty great in the pre-show match, but Liv's work has been a bit off. Going into this show mostly blind. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2021/09/wwe-extreme-rules-92621-live-blog.html
  17. I thought large stretches of Rhea/Charlotte were terrible, and Charlotte continued to look bad. This might have been the best they've worked together, and they show almost no chemistry. Surprised at how much people seemed to like this.
  18. I don't see any problem presenting Lashley as a champ capable of running someone over. Few on the roster are as bulletproof as Kofi. He'll get just as good a reaction in his next title challenge.
  19. AJ looks as good as ever
  20. This is bad. People started disappearing for 5+ minutes at a time less than 2 minutes into the match. Brutal shit.
  21. Was expecting more out of Mysterios/Usos. Match sounds premier on paper but didn't connect with me much until the end. I've missed a lot of TV building this show so not sure how any of it will connect with me, but we'll see: https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2021/07/wwe-money-in-bank-71821.html
  22. I thought Mandy Rose/Natalya was really good. This is one of those twice a year good Natalya matches. The women have been making things feel more personal in matches lately and it's been great. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2021/06/wwe-hell-in-cell-62021.html
  23. Great Knight performance in that match, made me interested in a match gimmick that hasn't interested me in a long time.
  24. I hate that there is no rewind on Peacock live shows. I came in towards the beginning of the Legado del Fantasma trios and loved it. Li/Martinez was a great pace and a great length. I think that's the best Li has looked, impressed with both. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2021/06/nxt-takeover-in-your-house-61321.html
  25. I still need to watch Sheamus/Ricochet and the women's three way, but I thought this was a really good show. The Dawgs/Mysterios tag was great, the heavyweight three way hit hard, so did the main, Belair/Bayley was a good follow up to Belair's excellent Mania win. I can't believe people even hate the zombie stuff. No way the match is better if they just worked a serious match, and it made the PPV flow much better.
