  1. Is there any newcomers left or should we figure out Georgia & WWF situation?
  2. Awesome. That leaves Georgia and WWF if anybody new is coming in?
  3. Yeah I need to to know also, because if Georgia doesn't get picked up, I'll be running those towns. Also who would Memphis now fall too? Memphis to ICW? Well, WWF would do what it did in real life, it would run Toronto. Unless a new person wants to take over the company? Like I said though, I would only take over the WWF if dispersal draft makes it worthwhile. There are certain guys I want to continue with and want their stories to continue. I'm only suggesting this for two reasons. One if WWF closes I would probably be the one running MSG and using the Maple Leaf name in MSG seems strange. Two if Maple Leaf closes then the WWF was supposed to take them over based on the old system.
  4. If the two people want Florida, does either have a second option? I can to a random drawing for Florida, but what are your other options? We will deal with WWF, Gerogia and Memphis (minus the other picked up) once this is decided. Would love for this to be solved this weekend, because it really affects where I am running shows. How many guys can you keep off a roster when it is dispersed out? If I am the one who is going to have to run Madison Square Gardens monthly, would it make sense to do it under the WWF and maybe just take over the WWF and then disband Toronto? On the loop Will made, WWF gets Toronto if it dies. I love my Toronto roster, so if I am keeping enough I may do this.
  5. Maple Leaf Wrestling presents Wrestling Night in Canada September 25, 1983 at Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario The opening video package of Wrestling Night in Canada opens the show featuring clips of: Greg Valentine, Wahoo McDaniel, Stephen Petipas, Jesse Ventura, Ivan Koloff, Leo Burke, Rocky Johnson and ends with a clip of Rick Martel being awarded the NWA Canadian Title. Billy Red Lyons and Jesse "The Body" Ventura welcome us to the show where they immediately go into hype for Tuesday's show in Maple Leaf Gardens. The card is: Main Event for the NWA Canadian Title: Champion Rick Martel vs Riki Choshu Lumberjack Grudge Match: Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs Wahoo McDaniel Toronto Death Match with Bobby Bass locked in a Shark Cage: Cuban Assassin & Chicky Starr vs Stephen Petipas & Rocky Johnson NWA World LP Champion Little Tokyo vs Haiti Kid Dick Murdoch vs Evil Machine Jerry Brisco vs Joel Deaton Killer Khan in action They talk about the upcoming rematch between Koloff and Burke, but after the break we will be back with Andre the Giant in action! Commercial #1 1. Bobby Bass, Chicky Starr & Cuban Assassin vs Andre the Giant, Stephen Petipas & Rocky Johnson The Cubans cheating like crazy and tried to avoid Andre at all costs. Rocky was busted open again from the ongoing wound from the fireball. After a beat down on him he made the hot tag to Andre who easily disposed of Bass for the win. Winners - Andre the Giant, Stephen Petipas & Rocky Johnson @ 9:05 Commercial #2 We are backstage with Nick McMan who is with Greg Valentine and Don Carson. They don't know who this fake "Super Russian" is, but that is besides the point. Wahoo McDaniel will have to show up in Toronto, no matter his condition and fight Valentine one on one. With lumberjacks at ringside there is nowhere to hide and Valentine will finally put an end to Wahoo. He then proclaimed himself the #1 contender for the NWA Canadian Title after his eventually victory. Commercial #3 2. "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff w/ Don Carson vs Leo Burke After a quick start by Burke, Koloff gained the advantage with help from Carson. Koloff went right to work on the back of Burke using a variety of stomps, kneedrops and submissions. They spilled to the outside and Burke was rammed back first into the ring post. Commercial #4 Back from the break and Koloff is playing king of the mountain and is trying for the countout. He finally used the distraction of punching Carson to get back in the ring, but Koloff cut him off and went back to work on the back. After a little while an irish whip by Koloff was received by a leg lariat by Burke. Both men are down. Commercial #5 Burke finally has the advantage and he tries to unload on Koloff, but his back his really hampering his offence. During this moment we get a promo by Rick Martel in the upper corner of the screen talking about facing his toughest challenge in Maple Leaf Gardens against the man who beat him Riki Choshu. He then told Valentine if he wanted a title shot he had to go to the Championship Committee and not just make declarations. As Martel's promo ends Koloff ducks a cross body and Burke flies to the floor. Commercial #6 It looks to be a count out victory for Koloff, but Burke rolls into the ring at the 9 count. After some vicious stomps Koloff clamps on the Bear Hug which seems to signal the end of this great match. Burke seems to be passing out and his arm is raised twice and it falls. On the third time, it barley stays up and Burke using some forearm shots to escape. Koloff was able to nail him with a backbreaker though and then goes to the top for a flying knee drop. However Burke rolls out of the way. An inside cradle by Burke gets two and we are sent into our final commercial break. Commercial #7 Coming out of commercial both men are down and being counted out. At the ten count both men get to their feet and they are apart to go at it again as the bell rings. The time limit expires as the announcers talk about this great match and try to hype the Maple Leaf Gardens show as it goes off the air. 7. We'll cross that bridge if we have to.
  8. http://placetobenation.com/super-extreme-vault-ecw-cyberslam-99/ Steven, Glenn and Marc are back to enter the ECW arena to talk about ECW’s yearly internet fan convention of Cyberslam ’99! Lots of fun wrestling on this show as this is a massive switch from hardcore wrestling to high spot wrestling. The bottom of the card is all about Tajiri, Jerry Lynn, Super Crazy, Taka Michinoku, etc.. We also see the return of Too Cold Scorpio and the debut of Big Vito! Some really good matches from unsuspected performers. Also, The Undertaker talk returns as we discuss the concept of his gimmick being put on the line in matches. Also, seriously is Taz a heel or a face? Another ridiculous conversation which is veiled in a review of Cyberslam ’99. Join in on the fun here!
  9. I think you are doing the WWF till October 1st?
  10. I watched the entire AWA set in 6 weeks, nobody needs a year.
  11. Nothing was more annoying than WrestleMania 25 being called the 25th anniversary. That still irks me.
  12. WWF, Florida, Memphis and Georgia are open. First crack goes to current players who want to switch promotions. Speak up now. If you switch than your previous promotion is open. New players then can select based on when they expressed interest. Let's get this settled so we can be up and running in October.
  13. What would you suggest they do in cases like Mania 18? The crowd's interest peaked for Rock/Hogan, they mostly didn't give a shit about the world title match. That's happened a few times now. A rare time, sure. Almost every single year that is a big issue. As I said above, in most cases that is a huge problem not all cases.

  16. Doug somers
  17. Martel is continuing his round the world tour as Canadian Champion!
  18. You have a warped sense of wrestling if you think that.
  19. I'd say, make it Steamboat and Briscos?
  20. There is a big area there with Pennsylvania and New York, who would run it? Somebody has to run in New York.
  21. You should take over the WWF, leaving Montreal to be run by the very capable Jack Tunney! Think of Ivan Koloff & Greg Valentine main eventing against the Rougeaus in Montreal!
  22. So is it only Gerogia and WWF or did Florida officially die too? Is that all of them? I think anyone currently in the game can switch promotions to those three, leaving theirs to be picked up by the new guys?
  23. Perfect! I like Ventura as my Bobby Heenan comedy but legitimate guy.
  24. The thing is, World Class would not fail now. Somebody would take it over, because we have people waiting to join the game. Also people can switch around. I'm sure someone booking Vancouver would be more than happy to switch to World Class if it died, then Vancouver dies and it's no big deal.
  25. The problem lies for promotions to grow others have to die. There is a limited talent pool out there. What other options are there>?
