We Don't Know Wrestling SUPERTHREAD!

I agree with Dylan, another member of the panel that isn't WWE centric would help Sam out a lot. Loved the show though, Sam being the highlight with him getting closer and closer to the edge. -
We Don't Know Wrestling SUPERTHREAD!

So excited for this, last year it was show of the year! -
Chapter Three. "Where are We?" The cries of pain were deafening. The commotion was out of control. Dr. Wagner Jr. was originally confused, like everybody else, but here we are hours later and Wagner Jr. was enjoying sitting around the camp fire and telling stories with comrades. He was never friends with Lizmark, Octagon, or Villano III, but it was nice to have them here. However, this peaceful telling of stories was quickly interrupted. What was strange was once Wagner approached the scene he instinctively knew what to do. He walked over to the fallen wrestler, some kind of cat character he didn't recognize, and put his hands on his bleeding ankle. Words came to his mind and he said them under his breath. Power surged through him, a feeling he had never felt before however it felt right. Wagner was healing this man. Wagner was a true Doctor here on the Moon. As the patient thanked him, Wagner made out his name as Battle Cat, a few of the English words he understood. Looking around, everybody seemed to be in shock. What was happening on the moon? Where are we? Wagner didn't completely understand. He seemed to have healing powers, he was in a weird place with others seemingly from different times, yet he didn't phase him. Strolling back to the camp fire he sat down next to Villano III and said "Can you believe those gringos?". This is how it is now, they should accept it was Wagner's mind frame. The stories around the camp fire continued long into the night as Wagner was more content then any other time in his career. That was until these weirdly tall and skinny group of children in odd dresses walked by pointing and smiling....

Isn't that Islanders-Harts match awesome? I think Haku-Tama got mixed up quite a lot early on. The announcers were pretty weird about that stuff. Remember Jesse always used to pretend he got the Rougeaus mixed up.

I don't know, Stardom? It's been enjoyable all year. CWF Mid-Atl. Does NXT count by itself or do you have to include WWE?
-
I think Kairi Sane would had been my number one if the four way at Takeover was a MOTYC, but it wasn't so she is in the top 5. Outside of that, I've been all over the place with watching. Like I have the WWE ppvs and NXT, but outside of that, I have two months of one promotion, 4 months of another, 3 of another, it's all over the place. Can I call the Usos as co-workers of the year or Cesaro and Sheamus?

Should had happened 2 years ago. He should have beaten Jay Lethal for the TV Title 2 years ago and then won the World Title a year ago. But I think we're on the same page. He is by far the biggest star in the promotion and he should have the belt. Completely. I saw him live and overall the first time against Liger and was blown away. He's special and should had been treated as such from the beginning. We'll see if it's too late to mean anything. However, with Mayu (my favourite wrestler not named Becky Lynch) is coming in, how should I watch ROH?

Brad Shepard 🤘🏻 @TheBradShepard EXCLUSIVE: Vince McMahon is looking to bring back the XFL and may announce it on January 25th, 2018. 4:38 PM - 15 Dec 2017 Kris Zellner said he heard this as well. WTF is even happening?

I rewatched a couple of years ago when I watched all the Rumble stuff to make that list. I'm not a fan of longer matches, and it felt really off too.

Part two finally, I was sick. prowrestlingsuperblog.wordpress.com/2017/12/10/top-100-bret-hart-matches-part-2-75-51/

Why not? Historical memory is fickle and largely outside the control of the wrestlers. It's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of things that were cool at the time. If you are forgotten 5 years later, then you probably don't belong.

Dave addressed this in the HOF issue. He said that workrate candidates have to go in early because their legacies tend to be forgotten as years go by (he specifically mentioned Kiyoshi Tamura and Red Bastien as victims of this tendency). On the other hand, guys who won lots of titles tend to do better as the years pass. This seems like an inherent issue without a structural fix. Anyway, looking at the lucha candidates, Los Misioneros, Ultimo Guerrero, Villano III, Cien Caras, LA Park, Karloff Lagarde, Dr. Wagner Jr., and Blue Panther all received between 40 and 60 percent of the vote. There seems to be a serious collective action problem with Mexico voters. They need to coalesce around a couple of candidates to break the logjam. If they are forgetting, then they don't belong in the HOF.
-
Fuck why do they insist on voting on people during their prime? It's mind boggling.

Chapter two is up, this is fun to write. By the way, everybody's stuff looks great, sorry I've been so busy I haven't commented. Life is HECTIC right now.

Chapter Two. "Prey on the Moon" Skinner had been given the same speech that everybody else had and has finally awaken to an open door. Although he'd spent years as a Fabulous One with a proper name, Steve Keirn, those were not pressing memories to him anymore. What concerned Skinner, the great alligator hunter, is finding something to hunt on the Moon. During his time the Moon was not habitable, so there was no prey, but time's have changed. Skinner slowly sneaked his way out of his room and saw a long empty corridor, leading to a huge open door. Making his way down the hall, being careful not to startle anything, Skinner entered the huge door to enter an extraordinary large area. It was bigger than the Pontiac Silverdome, however it wasn't really a stadium, it had a little of everything. Gardens, wooded areas, a gym, seats, and even a wrestling ring. It was clear to Skinner that it was everyone for themselves now, as he took off to the wooded area. What shocked Skinner was that it was littered with fruits and veggies, but there was no animals. No foxes, no deer, and certainly no alligators to hunt. Luckily he could survive, but is it really surviving without prey? From his hiding spot atop a tree, Skinner caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye. It seemed to be some kind of vicious cat. His eyes light up with joy, as his purpose seems to be fulfilled. The hunt was finally on. Skinner quickly found the trail and followed the "beast" towards a body of water, where there it was before his eye, drinking from this lake, it was a rare and elusive BattleKat. Skinner had seen this Kat in action for a short period of time in the WWF, but never had the urge he had now. This Kat was his prey and he was going to capture it. As BattleKat retreated from the water towards the woody area again, Skinner started to work on a trap. Gathering bits and pieces from vines, and trees, as he tracked. Time had passed, but Skinner had no idea how much, before the trap was ready. By this time, BattleKat has worked his way towards the gym and others. He didn't really recognize anyone else, but he wasn't really looking, his focus was on the hunt. BattleKat seemed to have some friends here and was having a good work out, but Skinner sat and waited. He was diligent and keen. Finally everything was set into motion, as the prey wondered away from the others to the woods again. A huge "SNAP" went off and BattleKat was caught and from the sound of the scream in great pain. Skinner approached his prey with knife in hand, when a group of wrestlers ran over and blocked his path. Skinner sneaked away, but kept close enough. He looked down with dismay as BattleKat was released from his trap. It turns out he had wounded the beast, but the beast was still free. The hunt continues.

I think my issue is that there is no logical way people from different times can be in the same promotion, so I needed some kind of hook to make it make sense to me.
-
I'm doing about 15 chapters with three shows in their somewhere or 2 bigger matches, then one final show.
-
I'm not doing weekly tv, if that helps.
