  1. Just watched the WarGames set this weekend. I think you're fine cutting everything before Hennig joins Flair at ringside.
  2. Love that Jeremy Wyatt made your list. One of my favorite dudes in the world.
  3. I dug the hell out of the show. The only match I couldn't get into was Future Shock/Machines. I don't think Lethal/Edwards was a good match, but I think you had me expecting the absolute worst, and I spend most of my weekends at shows with far worse than that. And as corny as the irish whip spot was, it got a chuckle out of me as a response to Eddie's spot earlier in the match. I thought the DGUSA tag was fantastic. What they do isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I think those four are just about the best at that style. Other random thoughts: Paul London really isn't made for that type of match. I love Chuck Taylor unconditionally. Fuck Roderick Strong. I am very happy that Drake is done with that kind of stuff. The salt spot was horrifying. I thought he was dead off of that Awesome Bomb.
  4. Pretty sure he doesn't have to worry about that.
  5. I can't stand Lethal. I like Eddie more than you, but I'm not expecting anything watchable.
  6. Uh oh, I am about to put that one on myself. Going in with lowered expectations, even knowing that I enjoy some of this stuff more than you do.
  7. And Pro Wrestling Blitz out of Chicago.
  8. Metro Pro is great. I usually work as timekeeper on their shows. Other groups from the midwest worth following: 3XWrestling, Magnum Pro, AAW, Dreamwave, St. Louis Anarchy

I also missed most of the main event because game 7 of the Stanley Cup was busy being apeshit. I'm guessing I'm not alone.
  10. Damn. I knew it was a bad relationship, but that's gotta be rough.

I know PWI is $10 an issue.
  12. Well, Quack has basically spread the burden of promotion for Chikara into a wider base of promoters, while still maintaining creative control and keeping regular bookings for his guys. There's a lot to this that hasn't come out yet.

  14. the baseball slide uppercut and the rocking horse > everything
  15. Who was the dude that called East/West vs High Flyers? Screaming "I'm running out of wind!" at somebody off mic 20 minutes in was glorious.
  16. In that specific example, I think it has as much to do with there's more of a debate to be had over the Flair/Hart statement, where Kane fans know that it's a minority opinion and are fine with being called weird, because being a big Kane fan is a fucking weird thing.

  18. It's gonna be harder to do with guys that streaky, but I'd say the best of it was the WWF stuff in the early 00s, though I don't remember it that well.
  19. Bossman has always been one of my favorites. I'd have to sit down and do a little digging, but I liked a lot of his last WWF run. He'd gotten in damn good shape, though he was mostly used with guys that weren't great.
  20. Everyone absolutely has a prime. It may not have been great, but there will always be some time & place where a given worker was doing his best work.
  21. That could be a thing.
  22. I don't know what else they could do with Punk that wouldn't be completely dropping him down the card. Maybe something with Bryan?
  23. for shits & gigs I added up guys mentioned so far... 01. Ric Flair (21) 02. Terry Funk (19) 03. Stan Hansen (18) 04. Randy Savage (16) 05. Jerry Lawler/Eddy Guerrero (15) 06. Rey Misterio (14) 07. Ricky Steamboat (10) 08. Vader (9) 09. Buddy Rose/Nick Bockwinkel/Barry Windham (8) 10. Steve Austin (7) 11. Dick Murdoch/Shawn Michaels (6) 12. Arn Anderson/Ricky Morton (5) 13. Tully Blanchard (4) 14. Daniel Bryan/CM Punk/Terry Gordy (3) 15. Bobby Eaton/The Undertaker/Bob Backlund (2)
  24. Jerry Lawler Randy Savage Ricky Steamboat Stan Hansen Terry Funk Ric Flair Vader Arn Anderson Bob Backlund Eddy Guerrero
  25. It's related to my last statement, "There is no lagging for people that disappear; i.e. when Heath Slater wrestled Sid on RAW, Sid was still at his old high WWF value. " It also means that when Backlund returned, when Steamboat returned, when Nash returned and when Golga (Tenta) returned, they retained their old ELO rating. The reality is that it probably make sense to: I. start driving numbers down due to inactivity (i.e. Piper vs O'Haire is a lot different than Piper vs Hogan) and II. consider resetting numbers all together for new gimmicks (should Tensai get Albert's old numbers? What about Kane and Isaac Yankem?) My suggestion would be something like 20-25% drop for every year not appearing.
