  3. I would be surprised at this point if Patera doesnt get the 10% of voter support to stay on the ballot. Your research should really be commended Dylan on people turning the corner on him.

  5. Matt D trying to goad me and shoe into another Perez debate? I think he would have been a fine tv champion that could have been carried with some good fiery babyfaces.
  6. I take it Hammer went to Mid Atlantic after this?

  8. We have an RSS feed and are just waiting on approval from itunes, I will make a new post when it is available.
  9. Pretty great tag match. The thing I liked the most was how this was very mat based but would mix in spurts of flourishes displaying the athleticism and exuberance of the competitors involved. The work over Muto was very well done and made his eventual hot tag satisfactory. Awesome ending that made all of them look better coming out of the match.
  10. Awesome Superstar, I definitely took into account some of your reviews while making the brackets (Pushed for the Islanders to get good placement). I totally agree with your 1994 assessment. The January is really chocked full of awesome tags of short lived teams. Really the Quebeccers were not even together near as long as you would think which is a shame. I knew your thoughts on teams like Demo's/Harts etc and also had a general feeling of where Scotts/Justin's taste would lead them and knew there would be some contrast. I loved Tully/Arn but I do think the Hardyz got jobbed and I was kind of hopping for a Hardyz/Rockers final when looking at the complete bracket. I am also pleased to say that in addition to myself, Charles (Loss) and Peter (PeteF) will be joining the show on Wednesday night.
  11. Very good match although I agree with the criticism that it didn't feel very desperate for each person to win to keep their mask. it mostly felt like an entertaining showcase which escalated into some crazy bumps.
  12. Interesting to see a Wargames like this. PIllman looked a little off to me and light in his segments in this match. I don't know if it was the suit or what. Shockingly my favorite guy in this was One Man Gang clubbing people from behind and being a general dick all around. The camera and action was hard to follow at times which makes me think that War Games may not be the best live experience but eventually the faces get the win on a prone Sullivan. Fun find.
  13. Lord Al and Gorilla on the call, yikes. Gorilla immediately calls the steps steel when he is 2 feet away and they are clearly wooden. This match was fun as hell. Warrior had sort of found a template, high octane match he could be serviceable in and showed some fire. Taker/Bearer feel really connected to their characters now and are still put over strong. Finish was a cool visual.
  14. WWF feels really stale after the Desert Storm match and this is about the only thing really clicking with the company. Even the Garden as Brutus struts out with his awful haircut feels lackadaisical. Savage is amazing in this segment and spells out his intentions to marry Elizabeth.
  15. I didn't get this either as WCW is a real mess right now. The action figures were cool though and 1991 may be one of WCW's best merchandising years until the NWO era.
  16. Those cards were awesome and I had a good bit of both sets and still do. The WWF ones from around this period were also top notch. Rap sucked and 14 days out, were still promoting Flair.
  17. They do at least mention the Bash but I still don't get these or understand the purpose.
  18. Leatherface is about to be proclaimed my biggest shock of 1991. SOmething so fucking stupid on the surface has been treated with logical sense and care. I don't know if I have been this surprised by a character since Tatum's changed man. Sadly, it does feel like the Lawler vs. Embry and Texas vs. Tennessee feud is heading to a breaking point fairly quickly.
  19. A match that had to be on for yearbook consideration but must be taken in the right frame of mind to be enjoyed. As a piece of wrestlecrap, this was pretty top end stuff with a Volcano wrestling and Dave Brown and Michael St. John treating it like a true main event.
  20. Leatherface and crazy Embry continue to be a great pairing together. I have really liked Embry on the mic in 1991. I think I would put Gilbert's strongest 1990 work ahead of it but that is no slouch on what Embry is crafting.
  21. They packed a good bit of action and storyline into this for 8 minutes. Good to see the under card get fleshed out with characters like Danny Davis and early Sabu even if I do wish we could have seen some more Pritchard vs. Jarrett. Tar and feather came off well.
  22. That is one of my dark horse picks for top 50 if I get my ass in gear and start this. Loss putting together those youtube links really helped me out in getting motivated.

  24. just watched this again recently and talked about it on my Michinoku Pro show last week. We described it as non-stop smiles. Yep I was pleased as punch that was one of the matches the you and Dean discussed. Another one I thought about was Rockers vs. Powers of Pain 1/15/90
  25. Lawler was really harping on Vader in this segment and it feels like they already are treating him as an afterthought main player even with the Shamrock match on the horizon. Speaking of, Ken still gives a terrible promo saying the match will be in March instead of May.
