1. Soup does all tie breakers between Parv and You on WTBBP go to you for now on? 2. I never thought Phil would ever be near the top of group think, and I mean that in a good way . Must of been because Killer Kahn wasn't on the set. You know I will be using this to my advantage, Shoe. I am really surprised that I was closest to the pin since only 12 out of the top 20 was in my own top 20.

I agree that the end product of the top 20 had me nodding in agreement throughout the pod. I just love the Hansen vs. Vader match an irrational amount.
-
Ill just say that listening to the show the two things I was most disappointed about was that neither Hennig vs. Bockwinkel from 3/87 or Hansen vs. Leon White were in the top 20. I will hold off until Mookie posts the numbers but I do wish I kind of would have put Hansen vs. Leon at #2 because it is the match I have gone back and watched the most from a sheer entertainment standpoint.

Yeah that kicked that period into high gear Parv, I guess because from the guilt of sending The Giant plummeting from Cobo Hall. The next month is when he burned the observer.

Loved hearing about all the people in the crowd but when I tried watching Rose vs. Piper last night, I was too distracted by them. Great show and good debut for Superstar Sleeze (Martin). I have talked about this some recently but the discovery and looking back at old footage has become my favorite thing in wrestling.

I refuse to go back and listen to these shows from an audio quality/ analysis quality standpoint.

Thank you Karl and Pete. Welcome to the board Karl. MX in 1990 really feels like one of the better extended team runs that went out on a hot period.

I got to witness this touching fairy tale live.

Incredible post Devon. My hometown indy story is very similar growing up in the West Georgia area. The thing that reminds me the most of watching indies around this part of the country is the juxtaposition of everything. You would hope that people are in on the "act", but there is still that glimmer of doubt with folks. Both the patrons and the performers usually lead fairly uninspired and unsuccessful lives based on parameters set by society, yet for a three hour span they feel like a part of something. The cards are filled with a grab bag of raffles, contests, charity handouts, and even offering plates being passed around. There is a smell of concession food that makes me nostalgic and dream of running to nowhere as a kid. It really is an experience unlike any other in life I can think of.

I liked this a good deal. At the onset I was expecting a quick brutal match but in the end we got a slow draining match that evolved around the arm work on Vader. I really enjoyed seeing two of my favorites mixing it up. This may not be the absolute classic I was hoping for but it was a very good match overall.

One of the more unintentional funny PSA's you will see on any issue. Vince cant even believe the shit he is spewing out.

The main event of SummerSlam is made to not exactly much of a pop. Sid gets a little better reaction and scurries off Slaughter and company.

This was a shitty way to end a PPV. The highlight is Murdoch taking a swing at someone on the outside. This PPV is pretty bad but I look forward to watching it in full for the podcast as I don't if it will be the worst ever.

This felt like it had all the makings of an important and good match. Luger was motivated, the finish was an integral moment, and Luger/Windham match up well on paper. It just didn't come together with the crowd and the motivation of Windham. Really disappointing but fascinating match to watch.

Just get the finish here. Finish for a chain match is not that awful and a little closer than most of these are. Still bizarre to see Sting eat the fall.

I don't say this often but I think people not enjoying this match don't really get what made the RNR Express great. They were never really a team about the high flying, high arsenal offense like the Rockers and Furnas/Krofatt. They were more about building up sympathy and playing face in peril before showing big fire in the comeback. They displayed that match here. This match didn't lack intensity to me as Morton was really focused on the leg throughout and was masterful in trying to build up sympathy. The crowd was shit but I stand by the fact that the work in the ring was very good. I also love the analogy that originates with Phil that this was essentially a Flair style match. This match may just save this show from worst ever status.

Opening for the PPV is actually not half bad and we get a Dennis Stamp cameo. Them calling this Skywalkers 2 is our first in a long line of LOL moments from this show. Second comes immediately afterwards with PN NEWS attire. Taylor/Austin feels like a completely random duo together and I have no clue if there is a rivalry with these guys or not because last I knew, News was fighting with Salt N Pepper. Someone has a sign in the crowd for Lady Blossom giving away their hotel number. I appreciate the camera angle with the scaffold point of view because you can see all the empty seats by the entranceway. This match is probably one of the worst I have seen. I had no idea that bobby won but I guess he did. The action after they climb down is insanely more heated than them staring at each other on top of the scaffold.

I love that they keep showing the heavyweight belt itself considering what Lex is presented with. The hype for this match is fairly generic. Ross brought up them being tag team partners and I agree that would have been a nice touch to add in.

Luger gave his darndest to put over the Bash even though what he says sounds really hollow. Feel bad that Luger's big moment is about to become under these circumstances.
