  1. Maybe Seth is just lying his ass off, like he always does when towing the company line. At this point, he's got about as credibility as Brucie. Of course they are. TBH, whenever Meltz retires, I don't know what happens with pro-wrestling journalism. I mean, actual journalism, not vague people on Twitter with "connections". People doing actual journalist work. Kind of a scary thought actually. It seems crazy he still has to be so important to this day.
  2. Pull the plug on his Twitter, like, now. Then again, if he didn't make a speech, I guess he can be a whiny bitch on Twitter without contradicting himself. Gotta love the fact Meltz's extremely dry reply flies over the head of most people it seems.
  3. Considering Satin was all "This is a fuel issue" a few days ago, well... He pretty much was considered a joke anyway I believe. Might as well officially become one. Also I'm sure he'll get the respect of Seth Rollins as a journalist.
  4. This guy is gonna go down in history as one of the biggest stooge ever.
  5. Ok, now you've got me seriously hyped up about this one.
  6. Word. And so... Exactly. This guy has become the symbol of everything rotten with WWE culture. I mean, I'm sure we can find more qualities to Terry "World renowned stooge" Taylor at this point. Well, Taylor was a much, much better worker, for a start.
  7. Vomit. About the Saudi relationship. And about Seth Rollins. Vomit, vomit, vomit. Fuck these people and fuck Seth Rollins, the ultimate corporate sheep who's a proven failure and WWE's official social media little whining bitch.
  8. That really puts things in perspective indeed. I wonder what someone like Scarlett Bordeaux was making in IMPACT then, since she asked for her release because basically she couldn't make meets end. Damn, I was making twice as much hourly as a French teacher when I was in Paris (well, I was working very few hours a week, so I was earning zilch at the end of the month also, but that's another issue ).
  9. Terrific show. The undercard was stronger then usual thanks to cool junior matches involving the luchadors, then Naito & Taichii can have a very good match in their sleep, and the big matches all delivered. In a way, I thought the junior tag team league final was the lesser of the "main events", as it was indeed very good but nothing special. Hey, here's Jericho, this guy is on top everywhere. Also, Suzuki vs Takagi will be all kind of awesome. Ishii vs KENTA was just MOTYC material. Ishii is simply brillant and one of the greatest wrestler ever. KENTA has never looked better since he came back to Japan, it's kinda shocking to think he was that NXT guy. WWE is such a great company at killing talent. Bushi vs Ospreay wasn't great, but it was very *fun*, and I take that over some overlong, overthough, over toasted epic. The poison kiss was a stroke of genius. The post match with Hiromu was awesome in every way. Goti vs White was great. I'm all for a Goto vs KENTA match at WK now, as he really has delivered in big matches since the G1. It really looks like Shibata wants to do one more match, but after the G1, the talk was absolutely not, so who knows. Still pretty cool to see him interact. I'm intrigued about this two days WK. It has the potential to be crazy, because no one delivers great long cards without any dead times like NJ.

That's exactly where I'm at. I've listened to countless hours of Cornette during the shoot interview craze, all the stuff he did with Highspots, KC, his early podcast days. I was always a Cornette Head. And I've reached the point where he successfully has alienated me in the end. Agreed. It's too bad, he could actually have so much fun in the current landscape, where the new generation of workers seem to be bigger pro-wrestling geeks (and in effect, just like he is), than ever before. He would get crazy love at Starrcast if he only let his guard down and be more open minded. Great post BTW.

I also totally agree with this. Usually the guys crying about censorships are the guys whose opinions are actually making the most noise too. That's pretty sad, considering the two have been on a friendly rapport for decades. The guy is simply gonna end up isolated in his bubble of own little cult group of bitter, negative, hateful fanboys, instead of being a respected and loved (as he should) part of the pro-wrestling landscape. The fact he's boo booing an event like Starrcast for these reasons is pretty sad, as it seems like everybody have tons of fun there, and it's a gathering of real pro-wrestling lovers of all eras. Yeah, SAD is the only thing that comes to mind when I think of Corny in 2019.
  12. I for one truly hope that all the dirt will eventually come out. The tone of Meltz makes it sound pretty bad to me. Considering it's pro-wrestling, it probably won't though...
  13. Wow, that's spot on actually. This. This whole situation is ridiculous and unacceptable. The boss leaving his faithful troops behind and trying to twist the entire story is just disgusting. These people are awful human beings. You're the captain of the ship, you leave fucking last.
  14. From beautiful, progressive Pyongyang, here's Democratic People's Mania !!! Soon. Get Inoki over there. Need a booker for that one.
  15. Come on. "9/11 was like the attack on my family !". "Charity is the new PR". She's basically a sociopath.
  16. What a mess. This is embarrassing on all accounts. The talent should get together and make a statement against the company which has put them at risk and is now asking them to lie to cover for it, while the boss flew the fuck away. Sleep with dogs, wake up with flies. Karma is a bitch.
  17. MBS is AEW rumors incoming soon... All joking aside, yeah, I have no idea why anyone on the roster would agree to go back now. What is Vince gonna do ? Fire them ?

I totally agree with this. This is unbearable. And I totally agree with Obama too, a thousand percent, great clip. That being said, forget the bullshit controversy, Corny is just doing himself no favors by the way he's acting on social media in the way it reflects his employers. MLW looked bad. Then now NWA looks bad. As far as Corny not giving a fuck, I don't know. He also seems to me like this guy is just eaten up from the inside with anger and negativity and is doing himself no favor as far as quality of life goes. Then again, maybe it's all a gimmick. And the fact the whole Sami Callihan bashing *was* a work, well, maybe it all is after all. And this is where Corny lost me, after years and years of defending him when really it wasn't in fashion, which it seems to be now, maybe not on this board, but he has a whole lot more "followers" (gotta love that word BTW, think about it) than say ten years ago. Corny lost me because for the first time, he came off to me like an old carny making white noise to try and stay relevant in some fashion. Like say, Vince Russo at one point. And today, I find the whole Cornette thingy to be sad, because either he's got irrational anger, either he's just a con man. Meanwhile, Schiavone is a delight to listen to with his love of what is happening now in pro-wrestling, Ricky Morton has no issue whatsoever working for Joey Ryan or AEW, Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard are doing some of the coolest thing ever together. And Corny is making white noise as a hateful old man, only to make money from his podcast. In a better world, Corny would show up in AEW and exchange promos with Cody and Janella and it would be great for pro-wrestling. As it is, what became of Jim Cornette is just sad to witness for someone who's been a huge fan of him for ever.
  19. So that was his plan when he closed down his school a few weeks ago. Interesting. Well, he was certainly a good trainer. As far as producing goes, who knows...
  20. That I agree. Pretty seldom does that ever not look bad.
  21. Yeah, like the last few big shows, there's nothing too exciting about this one. I can absolutely take another Naito vs Taiichi match, as I'm a fan of both, KENTA vs Ishii could and should be the best KENTA match in NJPW yet. Ospreay vs Bushi should be quite good thanks to Will, but it's not a super exciting match-up. Ditto White vs Goto, which will be as good as White will make it to be. It's odd, I love the G1 more than seemingly anything else each year, but apart from this and a few big shows, I really am not that interested in following week to week NJPW. There's definitely some staleness to it. Huge peaks, better peaks than anyone, but long valleys too. They really need to mix it up, and EVIL & SANADA aren't the answers as showed by the last big show.
  22. Oh, wow, I was not aware of that one. Crazy to think they would go back after that.
  23. I am not sure about the first thing you are refering to (care to elaborate ?), but yeah, the Ashley Massaro rape thingy really should have been investigated a whole lot more seriously than it apparently was. I'm still baffled these kind of things are so easily swiped under the rug, especially when the girl ended up killing herself.
  24. Even as a lover and daily purveyor of terrible jokes, may I show you the door, sir. With Meltz bitching about a whole lot about this week's show (the lights out stip, Halloween cosplay, women match going too long and whatnot), I wonder if idiots on Twitter are gonna keep on calling him an AEW shill... Also, people complaining about Adam Page doing too much moves in 2019 is comical to me. Look Marty, we're in 1986 ! "Hey, that big ole cowboy looking dude is working way too fast. Cowboys are supposed to be bruisers doing the Claw, not fancy stuff like that dangerous second rope suplex or flying lariats, it's movez for the sake of movez, it's not good workin' like back in the days of his father." Anyway, the Buckshot lariat is one of the best move today, it looks awesome when the timing is right, you can work teases around it, it's spectacular and stiff at the same time. Cowboy shit is my new favourite chant of the week.
  25. Agreed. Tributes to the Troops shows, that appeared to be extremely safe for talent, especially women...
