It's no fake hip. It's a worked hip.
-
It is an escalation year on year, after the Shane match he left his gloves in the ring. Vs roman he left his hat, coat and gloves I don't want to know what he leaves this year. His artificial hip.

*yawn* (I hope we never get any "great" sendoff at Mania after this if he does come back, it's ridiculous. Stick to it or don't do it.)
-
And realistically, women's wrestling being taken seriously in a "major" US promotion in the modern era began in 2007 with TNA when Dutch Mantell decided he wanted to showcase the girls and they signed Amazing Kong to feud with Gail Kim. But that's beside the point. The fact WWE can't stand people getting over on their own is immensely stupid and a big part of what's wrong with them. That was the point of the whole business. "Go get over !".

I wonder if he's giving the management the old "This doesn't work for me brotha." in his deep voice...

Emma's music was boss. Of course they have to get rid of that. Funny that people seem to be all excited by the Mae Young (burp) Classic when in fact the women's division(s) have been booked like shit for seemingly forever now. Killing off Bayley. Fucking up Sasha at every corner. Making Charlotte a useless babyface for no good reason. The Lana debacle (and don't get me wrong, I liked Lana as Iron Mike Sharpe). I only like the fact they're pushing Bliss, because she's really cool. The less said about Jaxx the better. I kinda dread Asuka's main roster stint too, considering they did such a great job with Nak...

Jeff is turning into Jerry !!! (and yeah, shoot > angle, pro-wrestling in a nutshell)
-
He was fucking awful both as a character and as a worker. The American Badass is the worst Taker era ever, even worst than Corporate Ministry. Taker gets a pass for a whole lot of shit, really, because of how cool the gimmick had been before and was again when he became the Mania Vintagetm Undertaker again.

Plus, if you consider the facts that 1/he thought WCW was doomed from day 1 after he got back from WWF 2/he considers Russo as a friend as he was always good to him it does makes sense. (and he did shit on the Russo style-booking in the PPVs they reviewed in the past) -
You japanese fan, you.

Because it has pretty much been reported as a fact by various sources and that Rosemary's statement online doesn't exactly screams "shoot-angle !" either (much like the the reactions of other workers from different companies on Twitter supporting her, including Road Dog & Cody Rhodes, who really have no business interest in AAA). That too I guess. It's not like Star had the greatest reputation before.
-
So, Sexy Star is very officialy a complete bitch. I wasn't crazy about her in LU, although they did the best job possible with her storyline of getting the title, but this shit completely kills whatever tolerance I had for this girl. Hopefully she isn't part of the cast if they ever do a fourth season.
-
Which will get shit on. Again. And Cena will remain the Man in the company, no matter what.
-
It's an old gang sign, isn't it ? Actually, Prichard said Hall got it from Bret Hart who got it from some people in Europe.
-
Funny how because it's WWE and Cena, shit like this gets a pass. Stuff about "turning heel", burying Taker in the process, this is WCW 1999 garbage, a mix of Russo shooty-shooty stupidity and Hoganesque counterproductive ego-wanking. The fact they are hotshotting Cena vs Reigns is also WCWesque. And really, Sasha Banks... Ok, no one should give a fuck about her, message well received. They do such a great, great job of killing every babyface, it's crazy. Yeah, can't wait to see that great Asuka main roster stint already… They are 20 "Hollywood writers" to produce this shit ? Really. WCW 1999 at best.
-
Wow, I was never aware of that ! I thought it never went further than "Oh, he was a roadie of Motley Crüe (a parangon of hip pop culture in 1998, mind you), so he's doing the mic tests before the gigs"... Stupid name for someone you'd want to build as a star anyway.
-
Russo thinking he was better than Kevin Nash is quite another case of hilarity. That said, and don't ask me why I remember this to this day, I know even before he debuted he was pimped on Byte This, the internet radio show they were doing back in 98 (yeah, you thought you invented podcasting you damn millenials ?), as a mix between Sid and Shawn Micheals. Some of this is true... Test biggest claim to fame is dating both Stacey Keibler and Kelly Kelly. Kinda sad also to think looking like he did while being, if you believe the various sources, both an asshole and a dumbfuck (and a mediocre talent at the very best, but he sure looked like he loved his syringes) was enough to date both Stacy Keibler and Kelly Kelly. Also, who the fuck thought "Test" was a good name ?

Only watched Asuka vs Ember Moon, since that's the only thing that interested me. Best Asuka match since she came in WWE without a doubt. It's a fitting end to her stint, finally delivering what she was supposed to but never quite did until now. Props to Ember Moon too. Love her work, she's got a great crazy look too. That twisting Stunner was, well, stunning. I'd go so far to say it was better than the 4-way at SummerSlam. Terrific match.
-
Nope, I enjoy them a lot. I actually think this is a case of the whole being better than the sum of the parts (although I really like Shelley).
-
Ouch. Maybe it's best for me to take a break after that Bound for Glory 07 show then. (although I recon the Knockouts glory years came just afterward that point and I'm interested in this)
-
Phrased that way, I would agree. And it's true that those "This is awesome", "finishers kick-out galore = great work", "Omega deserves 7 stars next time" fans are what's going on today, so.
-
I don't care about Twitter feuds and Facebook comments. The Young Bucks (for instance) would show up tomorrow on GFW and they would all turn that into an angle anyway. (it's better not to go into the "islamophobia" stuff on this board, although yeah he made some stupid comments in the past (I haven't listened to his podcast in forever), but I would not use the big words either, plus it's a way too complex issue to debate here when talking about Corny and pro-wrestling) Corny is Corny. He's not gonna change at this point. But with his track record and historian work, to say he's more maligned than Russo today is ridiculous. He's got a lot of heat, yes.
-
Ridiculous statement, but whatever. He's back in ? Well, good. You got Mantell, Corny & Prichard in the same company. That's not that bad, all things considered.
