  1. HAHA….Yes!!!! The New Breed were awesome. Their squash matches on TBS were so entertaining. Right up there with the ME. I think they would have been huge if not for the car accident.
  2. I have a 5 or 6 disc comp of their entire run in World Class together and it is one of the most entertaining sets I have ever watched. They were just tremendous together. They were just perfect for each other. As Will pointed out, they were together for such a short time (a little over a year). It will probably hurt their ranking. They would be in my top 5 fav tag teams of all time. But greatest of all time? Probably top 20, they were that good.

    Harley Race

Harley Race was a fucking bad ass. I am stunned at the criticism of him. I guess I am just an old man (42). It has to be a generational thing,70s-83 he was amazing. The reason the NWA felt the need to put the belt on him is because they knew no one would shoot on him and take the title away back when things were WAY different back in the territory days. You can't explain how difficult it must have been being the traveling NWA champ back in Harleys day. He couldn't trust anyone and every promoter and wrestler was after you. He was on his own every night going into enemy territory and no one could have handled it better then him. The guy was mauled by the Zbyszko brothers Stanislaus and Wladek for his training. Harley Race might be arguably the toughest wrestler that ever lived and that is not hyperbole. The fact is like a bunch guys he is hurt by not having a ton of footage of him in his heyday which was the 70s.
  4. Terrible news. I have always had a great appreciation for Clawmaster considering he was an AWA and Chicago guy. Being a lifelong long resident of Chicago, I always loved reading his posts and results. A great loss to the online wrestling community. I have been reading his stuff for over 10+ years. His contributions to the wrestling sites can't be overstated. RIP Jim and my condolences to his family.

  13. Its actually in this video here. Not much of the footage but its in there. They used this video when Stomper was bought into to Memphis and Georgia. I love this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py8BvMPLN2A
  14. I found a couple more videos on on youtube. I just can't remember if we have this footage. It would be good to have for the DVDVR set. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY71wLPQWNM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTRrKX5cyfI
  15. The Bob Armstrong heel turn is on his shoot interview disc. The exact version that is posted above. I have that footage of his problems with Platt somewhere. Kris Z might have it as I lent out my Alabama footage for the DVDVR project. I think there might be a little bit more of Armstrong's heel run on the goldmine collection. I just can't remember off the top of my head. Southeastern is one of those territories I hope someday unearthed footage from 80-83 will just somehow magically show up one day. Very doubtful but one can at least hope.
  16. I have always been a huge fan of Southeastern/Continental. Its just great southern brawling wrestling. But as mentioned there is that 46 discs set and few other dvds and thats about it. Its missing huge gaps of what is said to be some of the great feuds of the territory. The Bob Armstrong heel run was supposedly fantastic and he had so much heat on him he couldn't even go out on public. Here he is as the ref during a Ron Fuller vs Ric Flair match as the special ref and turning heel. In 81/82 the Sheepherders were tearing up Alabama with great feuds against Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden and The Freebirds. The Sheepherders were also feuding with Austin Idol and on one show Idol showed up in the actual studio driving on to the set in a police car to pick up the Sheepherders. Problem is about zero footage of this exits. We do have the Hayes-Gordy cage match when the Sheepherders run in and attack Hayes and Gordy saves him. There is also Idol vs the Stud Stable feud Idol promo after being attacked at gas station Say what you will about Idol and he has the reputation of being a lazy worker at times and walking out on territories. I am a huge Idol fan. I am a big promo guy and Idol was hands down a top 10 promo guy of all time. He was always great in Alabama. Then there is Jimmy Golden and Robert Fuller. I think these guys maybe the single most under appreciated/underrated tag team of all time. They were phenomenal and are one of my fav tag teams. Man could they go and brawl and they were hilarious on he mic as well when they were heels.
  17. PS3 seems to be working a lot better today then the last couple of days. The chapters at the bottom for each match is great. It makes it so easy. They seem to be there on all of the WWE and ECW PPVs. There are even chapters on on the old ECW and WCCW shows also. Maybe they are gradually showing up. They are not on most of the old NWA shows as of yet. Hopefully they will show up on there also. I have been trying to watch Starracde 86 the last two days with not much luck. Its great they have the nearly 4 hour version on there.
  18. Yeah I have tried that and it just doesn't load. It goes back to the start screen.
  19. Have you or anybody else on here actually been able to watch something that is on the future schedule or from the searches that come up and that is not in the vault? I have attempted to watch the "upcoming" WCCW and ECW shows and to no avail. I searched Ric Flair matches and the Kerry Von Erich cage match is there in the results but it doesn't play. I am wondering if its just a first day issue or do they have to play on the network stream before being dumped into the vault to watch. Sorry if this sounds confusing. Just wondering if anybody else is running into the same thing.
  20. Just a correction on what I said earlier regarding the search function. Randy Savage is indeed in there just under "Macho Man Randy Savage".
  21. Can you simply fast forward / drag the scroll bar back to where you were? It would suck to watch 2 hours of a PPV, have to run out to do something else, comeback later (or the next day) and sit through the same dame 2 hours again. FWIW, I think some of the Olympics replay streaming was like that - no obvious scroll bar to drag / skip forward. You can scroll forward and back but the problem is there is no image when you are doing this like say when you are using the HBO GO app. Its kind of frustrating. I was watching WM 3 and scrolling forward and just guessing when to stop. This was while using Apple. But when I put it on Barely Legal on my PS3 it had chapters and everything. It was perfect. Each bookmark was a match and you could just use the controller to go to right to the particular matches you want to see. Then I put on Starrcade 86 on PS3 and it had no bookmarks. So I think its only on some and not all. My PS3 will barely do anything. Its been awful. Apple has been great loading and very minor buffering issues so far.
  22. I have been entering the names into the search button and its interesting what comes up. For instance I put in Terry Gordy and they have 19 different matches for him, most of them from WCCW from early 83 from what i can tell by the screen caps. But the matches won't load. I think it means they will be loaded in the very near future. If you use the search almost every wrestler name pops up like its ready when they have a match eventually loaded on the VOD. I mean everyone. Even jobbers like AJ Petruzzi and Raul Mata. Except for a couple that I tried…..Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo are nowhere in the search. I didn't try Chris Benoit because I don't care.
  23. The only complaint I have so far is say you are watching an old PPV like Wrestlemania 3 which is the first thing I picked. I watched a little stopped and went back to browsing. It does not pick up from where you stopped. You have to start it back over from the beginning. But overall I am pretty happy and really surprised at the video quality. My only hope is they add a lot more old school stuff like primetime, worldwide and anything from the territories. Also after using both Apple tv and PS3 I can say I like the Apple tv menu and navigation better and have had zero trouble getting anything to load and just minor buffer problem so far. But once you get a PPV to load on the PS3 which I have had a lot of trouble doing, its great on PS3 as you can go to particular points of the card just by using the controller. It has chapters on the bottom and which match is is and you can click on the controller and go right to what you want which is great. Apple does not do this.
  24. I tried for an hour and a half to sign up on my laptop and couldn't get past the billing page. I grabbed my iPad and was able to register and go thru. Have no idea if it makes a difference. Just worked for me. I am now watching Starrcade 86 and coming in great on Apple tv.
  25. So WWE.com put up a demonstration video here http://www.wwe.com/videos/wwe-network-demonstration-26174569 If you go to the 6:15 mark they show how you would go to the vault and it looks like they have some old school stuff. WCCW, ECW and more. I have checked my Apple tv and the app isn't on there yet. Maybe I should just do it thru my PS3.
