  5. That is delicious. Why do people enjoy Dave being worked? That's as strange a case of schadenfreude that I've seen.
  6. MACW Halloween Havoc Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro North Carolina October 29th, 1983 Scott Casey & Dutch Mantell defeated Bob Bradley & Ben Alexander in an extended squash when Casey hit Bradley with the Bulldog while Mantell stomped Alexander in a tree of woe. The Tonga Kid & Blackjack Mulligan defeated The Vachons when Mulligan picked Butcher up for a big powerslam and while turning knocked Mad Dog out of the ring with Butcher's legs. Mulligan finished the slam and Kid came off the top with a headbutt for the 1-2-3. Tonga played face-in-peril and Mulligan had some fun moments with both Vachon brothers. Hector Guerrero defeated Terry Taylor with the Guerrero Clutch cradle. This started with an extended sequence where they traded quick moves like armdrags and dropkicks to show how evenly matched they were. After a flurry of close two counts, Guerrero offered a handshake out of respect. Taylor hesitated, but eventually accepted only to be hit with a knee to the gut. Guerrero continued the onslaught of cheap heel moves for much of the match, only for Taylor to begin making a comeback towards the end. Taylor got a very close two with a sitout gutwrench powerbomb and then went for his flying forearm, but Guerrero moved out of the way and pushed Taylor towards the ropes causing him to hit his neck on the top one. As he lay on the ground gasping for air, Guerrero slipped on a rolling stretch cradle for the 1-2-3. After the match he hit Taylor with a double underhook suplex and jumped to the top for a Frog Splash, but was then chased off by The Tonga Kid and Blackjack Mulligan. NWA WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Terry Gordy © defeated Curt Hennig with a powerbomb. The mutual respect between these two fan favorites was obvious as there was no cheap shots attempted even though the action became very fast and furious. The Greensboro crowd wasn't too familiar with Hennig, but his charisma and exciting style soon won them over. Hennig made Gordy look absolutely monstrous with some impressive bumps, but was able to give it back just as big with his own belly-to-belly suplex getting a very close near fall. Gordy attempted a back suplex, but Hennig flipped out and hit an inverted atomic drop followed by a perfect dropkick for another close near fall. At the end Hennig climbed up Gordy's shoulders to attempt a victory roll, but Gordy was able to block him and turn him around and hit a big powerbomb to retain the belt. Both me shook hands after the match and Gordy raised Hennig's hand as a show of respect. David Schultz defeated Nikolai Volkoff with a piledriver. This was a surprisingly quick match as Schultz attacked Volkoff as soon as he entered the ring, tossing him through the ropes to the outside and continuing the beating at ringside. He sent Volkoff up and over a guardrail and as Volkoff made his way back, hit him again with a backdrop on the floor. Before throwing him back in, Schultz sent him into a ringpost busting him open. Back in the ring the bleeding Russian hit a desperation low-blow and began choking Schultz out with his wrist tape. The referee finally noticed and made Volkoff break the hold, so he went to grab his Russian flag, but before he could use it Schultz kicked it out of his hands and hit with him a hard clothesline. From there it was all over as Schultz hit his flying corkscrew elbow and a piledriver for the revenge victory. Before leaving the ring Schultz draped Volkoff with his own Russian flag and yelled to the crowd about how he would be getting his title back. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Freebirds (Hayes & Roberts) defeated The Russians (Kruschev & Markoff) © to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles when Hayes pinned Markoff with a DDT. The Freebirds were all business here and continued Gordy's winning ways (and Volkoff's losing) by finally winning the titles. This was ten minutes of quick tags and fast action, only slowing down when Roberts was briefly stuck in the opposing corner and The Russians took turns clubbing him on the back. At the end Markoff held Hayes up for Lenin's Tomb, but as Kruschev hit the ropes, Roberts was there to pull them down sending him up and over to the outside allowing Hayes to hit the distracted Markoff with a DDT (while still being held up in the bearhug position) for the win and the titles! The Russians threw a tantrum as Gordy came down with his Television title and all three Freebirds held up their three titles! NWA IRAN (UNITED STATES) CHAMPIONSHIP Dusty Rhodes defeated The Iron Sheik © by countout after David Schultz taunted Sheik at ringside causing him to get distracted and counted out. Rhodes was very popular with the Greensboro crowd and was able to feed off of that energy to come very close to winning the belt back for America. Sheik was hit with a number of elbows, both bionic and original variety and even came off the top with a flying crossbody to almost get the win. Sheik focused on Rhodes' back and torso with shots to the body and an extended abdominal stretch. He did strap on the Camel Clutch, but after Rhodes refused to quit, he let it go to jump up and down on his back. On the third jump, Rhodes turned over and hit a desperation knee to Sheik's midsection to double him over and allow Rhodes to begin to fire back. But Sheik was again able to cut Rhodes off with cheap shots behind the referee's back, including a toss over the top rope which led to Schultz coming out. As Sheik and Schultz jawed, Rhodes pulled Sheik out knocking him silly and allowing Rhodes to beat the count for the win, but not the title. . MAIN EVENT Ric Flair & Roddy Piper defeated Stan Hansen & Kevin Sullivan when Flair pinned Sullivan after he was accidentally hit with a lariat from Stan Hansen to win a title shot against NWA World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race. This was major league quality main event with Piper's return to Greensboro electrifying the crowd. Flair & Piper's chemistry was on point, but there were a few moments when it looked as if Piper might steal Flair's title shot for himself, including a close call where he had his sleeper on Sullivan. Flair debated breaking up the hold, but decided against it as Sullivan held his hand up on the third try regardless. Hansen was a total madman throughout the twenty seven minute contest and both Flair and Piper bumped handily for him. Sullivan got his licks in too, but was also used as a punching (and chopping) bag for Flair and Piper. Flair was hit with the lariat relatively early on, but had the presence of mind to roll out of the ring and luckily this time Piper was there to make sure he got back in before the ten count. Hansen got a couple of near falls with his back suplex and powerbomb (reminiscent of Terry Gordy), but each time Flair was able to kick out. At the end, with all four men in the ring, Hansen threw Flair over a turnbuckle, but Flair did his trademark flip and ran down the apron to the next turnbuckle and came off the top. Hansen moved back and Flair hit nothing. Hansen charged at Flair with the lariat, but Piper kneed Sullivan in the back, bumping him into Flair, which in turn moved Flair out of the way and allowed Sullivan to be knocked out with Hansen's Lariat. Piper moved to get the pin, but Flair beat him to it and Piper hit Hansen with a solid punch to the jaw allowing Flair the time to get the 3-count. Flair and Piper celebrated to the roar of the crowd while Hansen stormed to the back leaving Sullivan out cold in the middle of the ring.

  8. Saturday October 29th 1983 MACW TV Airing Bob and David start off by running down today's show, which will have a rundown of tonight's card for Halloween Havoc in Greensboro, David Schultz taking on Krusher Kruschev, The Freebirds facing The Vachons and a huge main event of Terry Gordy defending the NWA Television Title against Stan Hansen. They also make the major announcement that a number of the NWA's top wrestlers from Florida will be wrestling tonight in Greensboro and have sent in taped footage for the show today. They then reveal that Ric Flair did in fact, get counted out against Stan Hansen last week after sustaining a lariat on the apron. They wonder whether Flair has any chance to defeat Hansen and his yet to be revealed partner at Halloween Havoc. The Tonga Kid and Blackjack Mulligan defeated Tony Zane and Tiger Williams with a Rocket Launcher ending with a Kid flying headbutt on Zane. "Dr. D" David Schultz came out to introduce who he'd found to challenge The Iron Sheik for the NWA United States Title in Greensboro. A video played from "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, who said that in a strange turn of events, this time the doctor was calling him. He was excited to take on that no-good rascal, that damn dirty Iron Sheik and promised to give Schultz a rematch as soon as possible if he won tonight. Krusher Kruschev defeated David Schultz after Schultz was hit with a chair from behind by Nikolai Volkoff, knocking him right into a Russian Sickle by Kruschev. Kruschev, Volkoff, and Markoff continued to attack Schultz after the match, ending with a Lenin's Tomb by Kruschev/Markoff and Volkoff laying the Soviet flag over a prone Schultz before heading to the back. Hector Guerrero stopped by the announce table to vent about the past month and his current issues with Terry Taylor. He claimed that growing up as a member of the Guerrero family, he was taught to be a warrior in the ring, to be intense and show how much you want it. He said Taylor was an "iceman" and that their car rides from town to town were as dull as anything Hector ever experienced. Hector knew that to achieve success and gold in the NWA, you need to be willing to do anything, even skirt outside the rules from time to time, but as it was obvious Taylor never wanted the tag titles as much as Hector did, it was time to drop the dead weight and find someone with the same level of fire. At this Taylor came out to confront Guerrero, but before he could open his mouth, Hector slapped him in the face and ran away before Taylor could react. Bob Caudle asked him for a response and Taylor merely said he'd let his actions in the ring speak for themselves. Terry Taylor defeated Ben Alexander with the flying forearm. The Freebirds came out for some interview time before their matches against The Vachons and Hansen. Hayes started things off to reiterate that he and brother Buddy Jack would soon join Bam Bam in the champions circle after they beat The Russians once and for all in Greensboro. He mentioned that The Russians usually enjoy the same advantage as The Freebirds in having three wrestlers to fill two slots, but that because Nikolai Volkoff is signed to face David Schultz, he and Roberts were able to prepare to face Krusher Kruschev and Chris Markoff. Gordy joined in to voice his support and then asked David Crockett who his opponent would be at Halloween Havoc. Crockett revealed that his brother had been in talks with many of the NWA promotions and had determined that none other than Florida's Curt Hennig would receive the title shot in Greensboro, but only if Gordy can get by Stan Hansen today. If Stan Hansen were to win the TV title, Gordy would still face Hennig to determine his number one contender. The Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts) defeated Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon when Hayes pinned Butcher following a DDT. Scott Casey and Dutch Mantell came out in preparation for their match against frequent Casey foes, Joe Lightfoot and Billy Two Eagles, but stopped at the booth to say that they feel they've more than proven their worth and once they defeat those damn injuns again, they should be looking at a future NWA World Tag Team Titles shot very soon. Casey also took the time to run down David Schultz, The Freebirds, and Terry Taylor, claiming he's embarrassed to be in a promotion where they are thought of as "tough guys". Mantell threw in a few words about Ric Flair, only for Casey to angrily cut him off and yell about how he doesn't want to hear anything about that "pretty boy", especially after he used his pull with the Crocketts to ensure he got an unfair win of Casey two weeks ago. Scott Casey and Dutch Mantell defeated Joe Lightfoot and Billy Two Eagles after Mantell distracted the referee and Eagles allowing Casey to nail Lightfoot from behind with a low blow to set up a bulldog for the pin. The Southerners tossed the losing team out of the ring after the match to the jeers of the crowd. Rogers Corner - On a special videotaped episode, Buddy Rogers is joined by Harley Race and Stan Hansen for the reveal of who Flair's final opponent will be. They talk about how Hansen defeated Flair with ease last week on TV and yet Flair must get a pin or submission in his match against Hansen and his partner in order to get that final title shot at NWA World Champion Harley Race. With that Rogers introduces none other than Kevin Sullivan as Hansen's partner! Sullivan shakes each man's hand and expresses great joy in being able to play a part in the final downfall of Ric Flair. The four men laugh as the tape ends. MAIN EVENT NWA Television Title - Terry Gordy and Stan Hansen battled to a double disqualification after almost fifteen minutes of non-stop action. It started with an intense staredown as the announcers built this up as Terry Gordy's greatest challenge of his entire career. Hansen controlled the early portion, overwhelming the less experienced Freebird with punches and kicks without rest. However, Gordy was able to take everything Hansen threw at him and return in kind, eventually knocking the Texan for a loop with his own big clothesline. From there on, the two giants traded suplexes and slams, neither getting more than a two count. In the end, Hansen was able to backdrop Gordy out of a powerbomb attempt, only for Gordy to duck when attempting his lariat. The two monsters went at it with fists flying everywhere and ended up knocking the ref clear out of the ring for a Double DQ. Officials and Hayes & Roberts all came down to break the match up, with Gordy staying champion and Hansen still looking unstoppable going into Halloween Havoc. The show ended with Tony Schiavone in the ring to run down Halloween Havoc's lineup, only for David Crockett to interrupt him in order to play a video message that had just been dropped off to the studio, courtesy of Ric Flair. In the video, Ric Flair spoke of how he realized his match in Greensboro may be the most important of his life and that he had to find someone he could trust to both be a strong partner as well as allow him to get the final pin or submission. With that said, he introduced his old friend Roddy Piper as his choice of partner with Piper coming on screen for a big handshake. Piper told Flair that he's with him 100 percent and that he can't wait to knock Stan Hansen silly, but that Flair knows better than anyone that once that bell rings, anything can happen so there are no promises about who gets the pinfall. Flair said he understood, but that'd he have to warn Piper that any funny business will lead to a major problem between the two of them. Piper laughed it off and said either way, he's ready for a fight. Back to the studio, Tony Schiavone was able to run down the full card for Greensboro. Halloween Havoc October 29th, 1983 Ric Flair/Roddy Piper vs. Stan Hansen/Kevin Sullivan If Ric Flair gets the pinfall or submission, he gets a title shot at Harley Race. Otherwise, he never gets a shot ever again. NWA United States (Iran) Title - The Iron Sheik vs. Dusty Rhodes NWA Television Title - Terry Gordy vs. Curt Hennig NWA World Tag Team Titles - The Russians (Kruschev/Markoff) vs. The Freebirds (Hayes/Roberts) "Dr. D" David Schultz vs. Nikolai Volkoff Terry Taylor vs. Hector Guerrero The Tonga Kid/Blackjack Mulligan vs. The Vachons Scott Casey/Dutch Mantell in action

  10. Beast

    A Proposal

    Absolutely.
  11. Good thing he went to the trouble of creating a super in-depth 5 part Flair podcast huh?
  12. Yeah this is shit. If you're going to be upset over others' opinions being different (even if less "informed"), you shouldn't be doing a cooperative GWE list anyways. Just print out your own personal list and hang it up as "The Definitive GWE List so says "whoever". I don't know any behind the scenes stuff, but I hate that anyone would skip participating because it's not perfect.
  13. Edited the show a little because I realized I had messed up dates with Race being in AJPW during the Greensboro show. I had originally booked Flair/Partner vs. Hansen/Partner, but I must have lost something in the process because I accidentally said it would be Flair/Partner vs Hansen/Race. Segment was retaped to air Saturday correctly.
  14. Saturday October 22nd 1983 MACW TV Airing Bob and David start off by running down today's show, which will have the Freebirds in action, a TV title match, a US title match, and the reveal of Harley Race's next Gauntlet opponent for Ric Flair on Rogers' Corner. Terry Taylor, The Tonga Kid, and Blackjack Mulligan defeated Hector Guerrero, Mad Dog Vachon, and Butcher Vachon when Guerrero rolled out of the ring and was counted out following a Taylor flying forearm. Mulligan and Kid looked impressive against the Vachons with Kid almost getting a pin on Butcher following a Rocket Launcher. Taylor stopped by the announce table on his way to the back and declared that he wouldn't rest until he pinned Guerrero in the middle of the ring 1-2-3 and that he had signed to face him in Greensboro next Saturday night. The Iron Sheik came out for his title defense but first stopped to show off his NWA Iran Title, run down America, and insult former champion David Schultz, claiming he ran him out of MACW. NWA Iran (United States) Title - The Iron Sheik defeated Billy Two Eagles by making him submit to the Camel Clutch. As Sheik posed to the cameras, David Schultz ran in and nailed Sheik from behind with a clothesline knocking him up and over the top rope to the floor. Sheik stumbled to the dressing room while referees Tommy Young and Sonny Fargo, as well as enhancement talent Bob Bradley and Ben Alexander, held Schultz back. David Schultz, still full of pent-up rage and frustration, stopped by the announce table to cut a promo on Sheik and the Russians, ranting about how he was tired of these damn foreign powers keeping the NWA titles hostage. He claimed Sheik was ducking him and refusing to grant him a rematch so he'd he'd been on the phone to Florida and that he'd found the perfect opponent for Sheik. In the meantime, he'd "settle" for Volkoff, Markoff, or Kruschev in Greensboro. Buddy Roberts & Michael Hayes defeated Tony Zane & Tiger Williams with stereo DDT's and a double pin by each Freebird. All three Freebirds joined Bob & David to build up their matches in Greensboro for Halloween Havoc. Hayes started by agreeing with "Dr. D" that the Russians and Iron Sheik need to be stopped but reminded him that the Freebirds had reservations on at least two of the Russians and their tag belts at the big show. He and his brothers had been in many matches with the Russians in the past four months and promised those belts would end up where they belong next Saturday night. Gordy joined in to voice his support and then reiterated his open challenge from a few weeks ago. He said he was about to step in the ring with that "devil" Jeff Sword, but provided he got through that with his title intact, he still had no opponent for Greensboro. At this, David Crockett stepped in and revealed his brother had heard Gordy's request for competition and had used his position as NWA President to begin talks with other promotions around the country, looking for a youngster who deserves a chance at glory. He mentioned Rick Martel from Toronto, Curt Hennig from Florida, Koko B Ware from Chicago, and Tito Santana from Dallas as possible TV title challengers, with the final decision revealed next week. NWA Television Title - Terry Gordy defeated Jeff Sword with ease pinning him with a powerbomb. Scott Casey and Dutch Mantell came out rant and rave about Flair's "fluke" win over Casey last week. Apparently Flair was a yellow coward who let the referees do his fighting for him, as evidenced by Tommy Young kicking Casey last week at the end of the match. Casey said he thought about filing a complaint, but decided that a real man doesn't whine and that he'd instead focus on getting revenge on that "dirty dog" Ric Flair down the line. Mantell added that as far as he's concerned, they are both still undefeated and would remain so until someone pinned either of them clean in the middle of the ring without any "shenanigans". In the meantime, they'd continue to prove why they are the toughest wrestlers in the NWA. Scott Casey and Dutch Mantell defeated Bob Bradley and Ben Alexander when Casey pinned Bradley after a bulldog. Bob and David ran down the weekend's major matches with Ric Flair and Terry Gordy teaming to take on the Russians in a non-title contest in Greenville, South Carolina the night of Saturday the 22nd and Flair teaming with the other members of the Freebirds, Hayes and Roberts to take on Krusher Kruschev and The Vachons in Columbia, South Carolina on the 23rd. Also announced were two big matches for next week's TV, David Schultz vs. Krusher Kruschev and The Freebirds vs. The Vachons. Rogers Corner - Buddy Rogers was bursting with excitement and could barely wait to reveal Harley Race's next handpicked opponent for Ric Flair, but was willing to wait until Flair himself joined him. Flair came out a bit more subdued than usual and invited Rogers to bring out the next guy, whoever it may be. Flair reminded Rogers that he'd taken down Terry Funk and Greg Valentine already, plus held pinfall victories over The Iron Sheik and Scott Casey, and had Race ready to submit back in August, so there was no one alive in the wrestling world today who could stop Flair from taking back that belt. With a huge smile, Buddy Rogers announced that Race was willing to meet Flair halfway in Greensboro, challenging him to a tag team match where if Flair got a pinfall or submission victory over either of his opponents, he would finally receive a single title shot. However, if Flair was unable to pick up the victory himself, he would never get a title shot ever again, as long as Race was NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Flair welcomed the opportunity and asked who the partners would be. Rogers shared that Flair would be able to choose anyone he wanted because no matter who it was, they'd be no help against the first half of Race's handpicked team, Stan Hansen! With that, Stan Hansen stormed onto the set, swinging his bull rope, knocking chairs and tables over, and got straight in Flair's face, almost pushing him backward due to his intensity. But Flair pushed right back and yelled about not wanting to wait, challenging Hansen to match right now. MAIN EVENT Ric Flair and Stan Hansen battled to a no-contest as the show ran out of time without a winner being named. During the match, Flair tried valiantly to give anything Hansen threw at him right back, Hansen's power and seemingly superhuman stamina and toughness eventually proved to be too much, peppering Flair with one hard punch after enough. He took Flair down with a big back suplex, followed by a DDT for a very close two count, before hitting a big powerbomb which didn't get the win only because Flair had the presence of mind to roll outside. Bob Caudle noted that Hansen had just used some of the Freebirds' favorite moves and wondered if they'd have anything to say about that. Flair took his time getting back in the ring and was able to hit Hansen with a low blow before being hit again. Flair hit Hansen with one chop after another, driving him back to the corner, but Hansen pushed Flair off causing him to take a bump. Flair got back up and chopblocked Hansen in the back of his right leg, causing the big Texan to fall to one knee and Flair was able to take him down with a snapmare. Flair worked on the leg for a while, but when going for the FIgure-Four, Hansen was able to push him off with force. Flair ran right back and hit a big running knee drop to Hansen's forehead, but that only got two. Near the end, Flair went up top but was thrown off to the mat below. However, when Hansen ran towards Flair, Flair was able to duck and hit a quick backdrop knocking Hansen over the top to the floor. The referee declared it unintentional and let the match continue, but Flair was so worn out he was unable to take advantage of Hansen being outside, instead choosing to regain his energy. Back in, the men exchanged punches and chops with Flair somehow able to back Hansen into the corner again. He tried whipping him towards the opposing corner, but Hansen reversed sending Flair up and over the turnbuckle, landing on his feet on the apron. As Flair ran towards Hansen, Hansen ran right back and nailed Flair with a huge Lariat, almost causing him to do a backward flip as he fell to the arena floor. With Hansen himself down to one knee and Flair knocked for a loop on the floor, the referee began to count, but the show went off the air with him only up to 5 as Bob & David thanked the fans for watching and promised to show whatever happens on next week's show.
  15. Um, pretty sure you still need to drop someone as this isn't connected to the roster cap or anything, it's a Free Agent exchange. On the other hand, I don't care one way or another so if we decide to allow this now, I'm fine with it.

  17. Updated, plus removed dead promotion dates.
  18. Should be updated, including the removal of Stampede and WWF. Do Memphis and Florida want to keep the dates previously assigned to their past owners? Does WWA have possession of Race for all of the non-booked out dates? Or is Race a man without a home?
  19. Can the guys just do a live watch on those matches anyway? Would be very interesting.
  20. Yeah, I made the decision Casey will be losing, but only to the tip-top names and only in a way that is going to further his story. Believe me when I say the loss to Flair (and whomever else he loses to before 1984) will play a big role in his placement next year.
  21. Awesome stuff JHawk.
  22. Saturday October 15th 1983 MACW TV Airing Bob and David start off by sadly introducing the new United States Champion, The Iron Sheik! NWA United States Title - The Iron Sheik squashes Bob Bradley and makes him submit to the Camel Clutch Buddy Rogers comes out with Volkoff, Markoff, & Kruschev to officially announce that the Iron Sheik has rechristened his title, the NWA Iran Championship. All five men make a huge deal of "presenting" Sheik with the belt. The belt has a picture of the Iranian flag taped over the front. Sheik says he proved Schultz was a prime of example of all Americans, in that when the going got tough, he rolled over and played dead. Blackjack Mulligan made his return to the Mid-Atlantic area and explained that he had heard Jim Crockett Promotions was where "the big boys play" and figured he might as well join in against the best competition in the wrestling world, including his longtime pal Ric Flair. But he said his first focus was helping a mighty impressive youngster, the Tonga Kid, in his battles against a couple of wimpy boys playing dress up as cowboys, Scott Casey and Dutch Mantell. Tonga Kid & Blackjack Mulligan defeated Tony Zane & Tiger Williams when Mulligan pinned Williams following a diving headbutt from Tonga Kid on Williams with a big splash. Dutch Mantell & Scott Casey briefly made fun of the "washed up" Mr. Wrestling II before mentioning that the overweight slob of a tramp Blackjack Mulligan fell in that category too. Mantell then wildly proclaimed that Casey would continue his winning streak today against Ric Flair. Dutch Mantell defeated Rudy Diamond with a roll-up full of tights. Following the match he kicked Diamond in the head and left him laying. NWA Television Title - Terry Gordy defeated Butcher Vachon with a high angle back suplex. Vachon had a hard time with the even bigger Gordy and Gordy's power moves looked crisp and smooth against the big veteran. Rogers Corner - Buddy Rogers welcomed Hector Guerrero to congratulate him on making the best decision of his career last week when he turned on Terry Taylor. Guerrero's cockiness was turned up a notch as he ran down Taylor for being a piece of dead weight he was almost able to drag to a major national championship before realizing he could do better. Rogers ran down the history of the Guerrero name, mentioning his father Gory and brothers Mando and Chavo, making sure to mention how impressed he and World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race were with Chavo's title challenge a month ago. Hector said his family is made up of warriors and conquerors and that it's time to show what he can really do. Hector Guerrero defeated Ben Alexander with the Frog Splash. Bob and David went nuts over seeing the move for the second week in the row, but chastised Guerrero for drawing out the beating he gave Alexander and for his arrogant nature. After the match, Hector picked up Alexander and put him in the Gory Special backbreaker, but quickly dropped him and ran off as Terry Taylor ran in for the save. Terry Taylor gave a quick promo declaring revenge on Guerrero. NWA World Tag Team Titles - The Russians (Volkoff & Kruschev) defeated The Devil's Duo (Jeff Sword & Doug Vines) when Kruschev pinned Vines with Lenin's Tomb. All three Russians again gave congratulations to their ally, the Iron Sheik and Volkoff in particular, said some insulting words about David Schultz. Kruschev added that with all three Russians laying claim to the titles, there was no way the Freebirds would stand a chance in Greensboro at Halloween Havoc. Bob and David ran down the weekend's major matches with Ric Flair taking on rising star Hector Guerrero in Hampton, Virginia the night of Saturday the 15th and Iron Sheik defending his new belt against Terry Gordy in Roanoke, Virginia on Sunday the 16th. Also announced was a big six-man tag for next week with Terry Taylor, Tonga Kid, and Blackjack Mulligan taking on Hector Guerrero and The Vachons. Ric Flair came out for a brief pre-match promo declaring that Scott Casey had finally drawn the short straw. He also added that he was getting impatient waiting to find out who was next in Rogers and Race's Gauntlet, hypothesizing that perhaps they'd run out of challengers and were just trying to delay the inevitable title change. At this, Buddy Rogers came out and yelled that he'd be bringing the next man next week and that he would be the last because there is no way Flair will be able to get by him. MAIN EVENT Ric Flair defeated Scott Casey by making him submit to the Figure-Four leglock. Casey tried to intimidate Flair as the match began, but Flair wasted no time in laying him out with chops. Casey did look mighty impressive throughout most of the match, really taking it to Flair with hard punches and almost getting the victory with a surprise high knee (stolen from Mr. Wrestling II?), but once Flair kicked out, the tide started to change. At the end, Flair dodged Casey's bulldog, letting him fall to the mat on his back and quickly slapped on the Figure-Four. Mantell tried grabbing Casey's arms to bring him to the ropes, but Tommy Young kicked his hands away, leaving Casey to submit after thirty seconds for his first televised loss The show went off the air with Dutch and Casey almost in tears as Flair triumphantly walked to the back.
  23. Awesome, thank you very much.
  24. Hansen wasn't in Japan during this month, but wasn't retired or anything so I'd hope he's available for bookings. I'd like him 1/12-1/14 please.
  25. I think that's fine.
