  1. Random draw, just like the original draft? I'll randomize one as soon as we're ready. Or we can just have goodhelmet do a random order since he's impartial. Using random.org list randomizer?
  2. Since it's not time sensitive (at least until August 1st), shouldn't we just start the draft now and have a really long limit? Like 24 hours for each pick?
  3. Sounds good.
  4. Also JCP would like Brody and Hansen Tuesday 7/26.
  5. Hence the dark match. And the beatdown after. And the dominating performance on the tv show coming up. Like a Starrcade '93 finish. Brody is being taken care of in MACW and he's understanding that it helps to have the NWA President on his side. Bigger plans for him coming in down the line. Just a dark match for the fans.
  6. Thanks Kris. I'm really excited about where LowBlow and I are going. Just so hard to sit on plans to be posted one day at a time.
  7. Updated to include all previous requests.
  8. Someone drafted Dean Malenko in round 6 of a 1982 draft so I can't take it seriously.
  9. I'd reckon there should be a random draw for this first batch. Promoters in line would have the option to pick or pass. If you pick you are at the back of the line for the next month or two, if you pass you get an early chance at September's month's new wrestlers. Then repeat random drawing every three months or so.
  10. Sorry, I overlooked this. Only figured it out when I noticed Bockwinkel had your belt along with the WWF one. Agreed on the writing style, so good. And I'm biased but the Flair match was amazing. Very interested to see where this promotion is headed.
  11. Disappointing....in the sense that those guys aren't going to be available. But yeah unless someone serious pops in in the next month, you should take over Portland. Until then, Portland guys should be freelancers? Maybe even for that it should be a random draft where people get first dibs on a worker or two and some dates.
  12. If Dylan is unlikely to return AND Matt is only doing it to keep the roster warm, we should put that roster into a special draft. It can happen in the last week of July and new additions to the rosters are implemented August 1. Random drawing.
  13. Piper-Sullivan is a great idea. Interested to see where Dusty will fit in.
  14. Can't wait to listen. Love the Live Watch Party idea, going to pull that match up and watch it for the first time since '96.
  15. Heart sank when that was announced as the first round.
  16. What a crazy podcast. Flair just really doesn't give a shit anymore. Drinking opened up the floodgates for this particular show, but there's nothing better than hearing Flair just go off on whatever he wants. Conrad being there to keep things on track to an extent is perfect. I had no expectations for this podcast, but I've listened to every episode in the past couple of weeks and there's not a wrestler-led show I look forward to more. As long as he continues to have wrestlers as guests, I can't see this falling in quality anytime soon.
  17. First 2 shows were in 95/96, local Connecticut shows. Can remember absolutely nothing other than buying an Italian Stallion autograph and seeing in the program that "Cactus Jack and Terry Funk may take their feud to New England in the coming months". This is the show where Shawn and Bret got into a fight backstage and neither were on the show. I'm also on TV briefly when the camera pans up the aisle to Sable selling a T-Shirt. 11 year old boy's eyes have never looked so big. WWF @ Hartford, CT - Civic Center - June 9, 1997 (7,164) Nick Barberry defeated Tony Roy Raw is War - featured Vince McMahon conducting an in-ring interview with WWF Tag Team Champion Steve Austin, during which they showed footage of Austin attacking Brian Pillman the night before as part of the King of the Ring and dunking Pillman's head in the toilet; Austin then talked about facing Pillman later in the show, with McMahon then bringing up the Hart Foundation's challenge for a 5-on-5 match at Canadian Stampede and Austin accepting the challenge of being one of those five men to face the Harts: The Legion of Doom & Ahmed Johnson defeated Farooq, Crush, & Savio Vega at 5:30 WWF European Champion Davey Boy Smith fought Goldust (w/ Marlena) to a double count-out at 7:30; after the bout, Ken Shamrock made the save for the challenger (Best of Raw Vol. 6) The Headbangers defeated Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon at 3:38 Rob Van Dam defeated Flash Funk at 4:24 Psycho Sid pinned WWF IC Champion Owen Hart (w/ Jim Neidhart) in a non-title match with the chokeslam at 4:11; Ken Shamrock did guest commentary for the bout and, late in the contest, hit a belly to belly suplex on Neidhart on the floor (Best of Raw Vol. 6) Rockabilly defeated Bart Gunn at 2:52 Mankind (sub. for WWF Tag Team Champion Steve Austin) defeated Brian Pillman via disqualification at 5:00 when WWF IC Champion Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart, & WWF European Champion Davey Boy Smith interfered as Mankind called for the Mandible Claw; during Austin's entrance, he was attacked in the aisle by Owen, Neidhart, & Smith, with Mankind making the save as several referees came out to send the Hart Foundation backstage; after the bout, Austin came out to fight off the Hart Foundation, with Ken Shamrock following close behind; after the Hart Foundation was cleared from the ring, Austin dropped Shamrock with the Stunner (Best of Raw Vol. 6) Shotgun - 6/14/97 - hosted by Jim Ross & Brian Pillman, who joined the show after the first match had already started; featured Vince McMahon conducting an in-ring interview with Ahmed Johnson, discussing his match teaming with the Undertaker this Monday on Raw against the new Nation of Domination; Undertaker & Paul Bearer also came out, with Bearer cutting off Taker from speaking and telling Ahmed he would be in charge of the team; Ahmed attempted to reason with Taker to try and leave Bearer, that he and the fans didn't care what the secret was, but Taker left the ring when Bearer told him to but shook Ahmed's hand before he left; featured highlights from last Saturday's ECW Wrestlepalooza show, where Jerry Lawler, Rob Van Dam, & Sabu attacked the ECW roster: Jim Neidhart (w/ Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith) pinned Jesse Jammes at 6:27 with a powerslam; during the bout, Brian Pillman threw water on Jammes while at the announce table and after the bout, came into the ring to celebrate, spilled more water on Jammes and threw the empty bottle at the referee Rob Van Dam & Jerry Lawler fought the Headbangers to a no contest at around the 8-minute mark after Tommy Dreamer interfered and attacked RVD, with everyone then brawling in the ring as referees attempted to separate them; Paul E. Dangerously appeared with Dreamer at ringside Henry Godwinn (w/ Phinneas Godwinn) pinned Salvatore Sincere at 3:02 with the Slop Drop Scott Taylor pinned Steve Ramsey at 3:19 after jumping off the top and ramming Ramsey's head into the mat Dark match after the show: WWF World Champion the Undertaker, Psycho Sid, & Ken Shamrock defeated Jim Neidhart, WWF IC Chamion Owen Hart, & WWF European Champion Davey Boy Smith
  18. Just a friendly reminder for Portland to post their first shows soon. Really interested to see how that roster is going to be laid out in the beginning.
  19. I'll just say that if it stays at Starrcade, it will be markedly different than the cage match with Kiniski.
  20. MACW runs Greensboro 1-2 times a month so it doesn't necessarily have to happen on Thanksgiving, but yes that's the lead contender right now. That could turn into a Flair defense easily though. I'll discuss it with you all here, with my booker Lowblowpodcast, and with the NWA Vice-Presidents before finalizing anything.
  21. Majority has been reached.
  22. Voting ends in 9 1/2 hours El Boricua, Dylan Waco, Wahoo's Leg, Grimmas, peachchaos, JHawk, and lowblowpodcast still need to vote.
  23. Same with ITunes. Ended up just listening to it through the link here.
  24. Good deal. Thanks! Very interested to see where you're heading with GCW.
