I don't want Rusev and Lana back either. Even if they put them back the crowd would still cheer for Lana and want her to turn face anyway. Summer Rae is quite underrated
-
Well we haven't had a wrestling wedding in awhile. I love Rusev and Summer together
-
Yeah that's exactly what I thought. The fact that Reigns was out there solidifies that they still view him as the heir apparent top babyface. And I do like the semi squash matches lately. Very Nitro like or something like Bret v Blake Beverly from Superstars in 1992. Always liked when they did stuff like that
-
Ha now Stephanie heels on New Day. Just after dancing with them a few weeks ago. Yup this Vince Russo meta parody crap
-
Stephanie a total babyface sucking up to the crowd but of course ends the promo as a heel. This is entering Vince Russo parody of wrasslin' tropes territory. Please end this crap
-
Jon Stewart was at the show tonight. Sitting next to Lance Storm and Don Callis!! Pro wrestling!

Dusty -----------------------> marketing "geniuses"

Apparently Cena's hiatus is not injury related. He asked for the time off over the summer
-
it may mean nothing and just being coincidental but it's not like top guys haven't done this in wrestling before. It would be pretty unique for Cena to do this I would admit. But the cynic wrestling fan in me can't completely overlook the convenient timeline
-
I don't think that's the only reason but it's funny it worked out that way. Ratings are at an all time low and he's taking time off. Hogan did the same thing in late 1998 when WCW started losing consistently to Raw
-
also probably need to note that Cena is taking time off during the height of football season and returning when it's nearing it's end. So when the numbers go up when he returns he can take credit. How Hollywood Hogan of him
-
yeah Cena will be gone from HIAC till December. I assume that means that he's dropping the US title to whoever he's working at the PPV. Let the speculation begin on the "personal issues". I was thinking more wellness than the total divas storyline with Dolph but maybe that's it.

a 2.33 rating? Did I miss the Billy Gunn v Jake Roberts main event? Or the Karate Fighters tournament? Maybe Livewire will be good again this Saturday

Lots of talk that that was the worst Raw of the year. Alvarez was basically saying such on twitter. I thought it was bad but no worse than usual. I guess people really hated that Kane/Rollins angle. Was it blatantly breaking kayfabe? Yeah but Kane is really great in this role. I hate that he is in the man event and I hate that I'm enjoying it but he's been hitting a homerun the last 2 weeks and Reigns looked like a pretty big star in the main event. Crowd was finally popping for the first time tonight. Best he's looked since Shield days

[1991-09-21-WWF-Superstars] Funeral Parlor: Ric Flair & Bobby Heenan
Strummer replied to Loss's topic in September 1991
was Pat Patterson telling Dave the company was worried about Hogan/Flair not drawing because their fans wouldn't know Flair legit or was it an excuse to not push the program hard because Vince didn't want to push a non creation of his? It seemed like a defeatist attitude to have before the start of potentially the biggest program ever. Six months later Vince didn't have any qualms pushing Sid to the main event even though in theory the typical WWF fan wouldn't know him either. It's like they didn't want Hogan/Flair to work from the beginning -
Alvarez said the other day that a source told him about 3 weeks ago that they have changed WM plans. Obviously this was before the injury to Sting. Brock/Taker was originally going to be at mania but Vince changed his mind. Rock/HHH seemed like a lock but with Rousey apparently out maybe they do Rollins/HHH, Brock/Rock and Taker/Cena. But then where does that leave Reigns? Reigns/Sheamus would be a disaster on that crowd

Meltz must have loved the women's match: Dave Meltzer @davemeltzerWON 2h2 hours ago The heel coming out isn't supposed to be saving the audience from bad writing 69 retweets 110 favorites

the women's match somehow ended with Stephanie looking like the biggest star. Some revolution we've got here
-
Rollins taps to the Scorpion Deathlock in like 6 seconds. I know a lot of people don't like him but he's been booked like crap
-
the way they are setting it up now it seems Hunter will be the babyface against heel Rollins. Turning Rollins face seems counterproductive after the last 15 months of pushing him as a chicken shit heel. There is really nothing good about this feud happening unless they do something like putting up Rollins belt v leadership of the Authority. Even then they won't keep any stips
-
this was the main event of Armageddon 2006 John Cena and Batista v Booker T and Finlay that's a good SD main event but this headlined a PPV
-
Just listening to an old show and Meltz mentioned talking to David Crockett backstage at a show once and Crockett told Dave something along the lines of "Why should we watch the WWF? We are so much better. What can we get from it?" Dave didn't say anything back but was rolling his eyes on the inside

Lana injured wrist. Out 4 months
-
Jericho on his show said what a lot here have been saying. The WWE divas can't keep up with the NXT girls and the matches are suffering as a result (he actually compared this to him, Eddy, Benoit and Malenko in WCW where the other guys couldn't hang with them in the ring). But he thinks the biggest problem was them introducing them all at once because it makes it a wash and no one can stand out character wise
-
PWI now saying that Kane was supposed to return tonight but they nixed that and he will be back next week Sting was not supposed to be on Raw tonight but now he is scheduled also rumors that Lana may have injured herself at one of the house shows over the weekend. They are never going to get to do that mixed tag, are they?
