so yeah on Tough Talk tonight Amanda accused Sara of being a ring rat. It was incredible. Bryan, Paige and Miz were stunned silent. Well Paige gasped. Clearly the production people and announcers had no idea what to do. I can't think of a more wtf, did this really happen moment on WWE programming in a long time. Sara looked like she was going to legitimately cry. Sara also wants her ring name to be "Smile". Holy crap this show has gotten good the last few weeks about 23 minutes in

Espn promoted Stewart hosting Summerslam. This is kinda surreal seeing them cover WWE like this
-
Well wasn't expecting that. So Brock has to be going over
-
Well Rollins has to win after that Cena promo, right? I mean he didn't even get to respond. Cena was real good though
-
That segment was great. Say what you want the crowds have been into this angle
-
I was just going to point that out. Becky went overboard with the fake bake tonight
-
Man Steph badly missed a cue in the opening segment by hyping Taker/Lesnar while the Cena/Rollins graphic was showing. But that was a pretty affective hype segment. They should do more of that stuff

Question if Reigns doesn't get hurt last September and as planned goes over Rollins in their feud and presumably helps the babyfaces get rid of the Authority at Survivor Series, does the crowd still turn on him at the Rumble? That's still factoring in Bryan returning. He just comes back from injury in January, squashes a few mid card geeks, then can't beat Big Show in multiple matches and then wins the Rumble like nothing and is supposed to be the guy all of a sudden.

If they really wanted to get ballsy have Stewart come out during Cena/Rollins and everyone thinks he's there to screw over Rollins and bam he turns on Cena and helps Rollins win. Next night he says he and Rollins made up after Seth showed respect to him by giving him the commemorative title and honoring his run on TDS. Stewart works a brief program as Seth's mouthpiece and then they do something at the September PPV to blow things off. Yeah not happening but it would fun

Calling it right now. Stewart and Steph/Hunter do a segment together arguing over who's in charge. Steph slaps Stewart and Hunter teases hitting him until Rock's music hits setting up the HHH//Rock mania match
-
WWE just announced that Jon Stewart will "host" Summerslam on Sunday. This must have been a last minute deal to announce this late. They could have promoted this while Stewart was wrapping up his run on the Daily Show
-
I've been critical of the booking like everyone else but I have to admit they've done a good job making Summerslam seem big this year. This year's card blows away last years and has been much better promoted. Other than Brock/Cena and Steph/Brie I can't remember anything being made to feel important last year. Remember Rollins/Ambrose was strangely buried despite being one of the hottest programs in the company at the time. Reigns/Orton was nothing much either. Much better job this year

Reigns has been doing some press lately and mentioned he found out about the mania finish right after the HOF ceremony on Saturday. And reading into his comments it seems as if the company was taken aback by the negative response to the Rumble more than we initially thought. They didn't see it coming

I've had several wrestling dreams over the past 30 years or so but the last one I vividly remember was around 2002 or so with Stephanie opening Raw with a promo and she starts to strip in the ring and Vince and HHH frantically run in to cover her with their sports jackets. A la Debra at Rock Bottom 98
-
And Jon Stewart earlier this year. He killed it
-
Amell was pretty great in that segment
-
Bryan will be Miz Tv tonight. So that's the angle. I guess they could go several directions
-
WWE has officially announced that Daniel Bryan will be on Raw tonight. I'll bet they won't be able to resist doing another Bryan/Stephanie segment. It seems like a prerequisite
-
Sasha will be on Jericho's podcast on Wednesday

NXT in Brooklyn has sold out. The company has now sold out three consecutive shows in the same venue. NXT, Summerslam and Raw. That is actually pretty impressive
-
btw I remember going to a house show in 2009 and there probably was not one single female fan over 18 or under 40 that wasn't wearing a DX shirt. Obviously a tad hyperbolic and anecdotal but in that sense the comeback worked
-
huge DX fan from Sept .97 until they turned babyface in May 98. I've mentioned this before but obscenity spewing face HHH is his best incarnation. I didn't even mind him in the two DX comebacks. BTW does anyone remember the RUN DMC DX music video in early 2000 with HHH, Steph, Road Dog, X-Pac and Tori trying to act all hip-hoppy? Pretty hilarious in retrospect

some moron fan in Victoria, BC last night through a replica MITB briefcase in the ring that hit Roman Reigns in the head. They called the police and the fan was arrested. Reigns was out of it for a few minutes http://wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2015/0809/599242/roman-reigns-attacked-by-fan-at-wwe-live-event-videos/

Scott Levy? young naive lovestruck kid in Memphis, obnoxious meat head in WCW in their light heavyweight division, preppy douche right out of a 1980s John Cusack movie in the WWF, getting to produce the WWF's secondary shows while an associate producer on RAW, a Kurt Cobain knockoff feuding with a kid he went to summer camp with in ECW with a former fat girl he went to the same camp with who is now a Penthouse Pet as his manager, WCW as an unmotivated rich kid cult leader, back to ECW where he teams with the guy he went to summer camp with, back to WWE as a whiny emo with a ninja for a manager, TNA as an overweight and pudgy cult leader, and uh briefly hosted his own talk show on the internet

any thoughts why Fit Finlay had such trouble getting over in WCW? His style was more conducive to the WCW fanbase but he never could get over to a large degree. He was much more over in WWE which would have been absurd to think back in 1998
