great debut for the Wyatts. Baltimore always has shitty crowds

news from Meltz via Rajah on the current product Vince and Hunter are responsible for the McMahon family angle which is going to be "huge" and will "explode" after Summerslam. The plan is for it to dominate TV all the way to WM 30 (Good God). David Kreizman is merely interfacing and keeping in touch with the writers Hunter did not punish Bryan for blowing up at him backstage. Vince backed him. They were mad at Punk for tweeting about the Stanley Cup finals during RAW. Some blamed him for the bad rating.

Cornette is reaching Tom Zenk levels for me now. Repeating the same points over and over. Angy and bitter. He's an all time great and I'm not saying he doesn't have valid arguments but he's really getting tough to listen to

The tag title match at MITB will be on the Youtube pre-show. Uh oh.

I can remember the few female posters at TSM going crazy when his ponytail fell out during that Benoit match. Anyway I was a big fan from about 96-98 but his last few years in ECW were defined by a lot masturbatory matches and spots. His matches were too long and they went overboard on commentary talking about how great he was. His WWE stuff was fun in 01 and 02 but anything past that he clearly didn't give a shit anymore. He seemed kind of whiny during this time also. Kind of like Joe became after his initial push in TNA. I think he can have a few fun programs when he returns but I doubt they will ever push him to the top again because of his age and his propensity to get in legal trouble

I'm bummed about the Bryan news. I know many will disagree but Hunter having power will probably at least help him in the short term. It sucks that Vince is still stuck in the "seeing a wrestler in the airport" mindset but I think with Hunter having say it will at least give him a chance. According to Meltz (through rajah) the Bellas will be involved in the Bryan/Cena buildup. I'm actually looking forward to that.

Jesus, it was less than two years ago that Miz and Truth were working on top as an "outsider" tag team. Insane.
-
I was pretty okay with the Bryan thing but this? Yikes. I mean I think Ambrose is winning the world title MITB match and Reigns and Rollins will obviously go over at the PPV, but still... Christian got the pinfall on Ambrose. Still questionable but I guess could have been worse

Meltzer said that report is total BS. Heyman had his standard input into the Punk and Brock stuff but Mantell had no input anywhere. I was so hoping that was true. a bunch of news from Meltz on the current angles The McMahon family being on TV was a direct order from the USA Network to help the ratings Dave thinks the final angle will be Hunter taking full control from Vince (didn't this already happen two years ago?) Bryan was supposed to get a title shot at Money in the Bank but they switched it to Henry and Cena/Bryan will happen at Summerslam The HHH/Axel program has been dropped They thought about pairing RVD and Heyman but with the pop the return video received they nixed it
-
a poster at TSM posted that. Not sure where it was from. Hope it's true

RAW this week was apparently written by Vince, Heyman and Dutch Mantell. Keep doing this!

Great show that built up the summer programs quite nicely. Maybe a top 20 RAW of all time. Henry segment was incredible. So Stephanie has insinuated the last three weeks that she doesn't care about her husband or children yet she implied AJ was a horrible role model for girls

Years ago I was chastised at a board (not DVDVR) for saying that I found Torrie Wilson attractive. It's not just DVDVR, it happens at a lot of boards and I've never understood it. It's totally weird

This seems strange with Cena as champion but with all the relatively new faces getting spots now the company seems rejuvenated to a degree. They are doing double turns, slow build turns, a wacky soap opera angle and bringing back name faces. I'm not saying it will all work but RAW has been so boring lately that it could ignite a flicker of fire into the product for the summer months
-
man they are really stretching out this Orton heel turn. I'm all for a slow build but this is borderline trolling.
-
He was so over around January/February. There was the match against Ziggler (I think) on Main Event around that time when the crowd was going insane for him (and Ricardo). Yeah as soon as they started the Swagger stuff it was a slow death. and Dave called Punk/Jericho a near MOTY
-
sucks they took the belt of Dolph so quickly. At this point he's dead as a heel working on top. If they turn him face he might be salvageable
-
In regards to his athleticism, much like Shawn in 92/93, I think he was kind of chunky and borderline out of shape late in his heel push around 91 or so. He looked bloated and had the classic symptoms of someone who was a coke enthusiast (runny nose, dilated pupils) He also seemed to have an "HGH gut". It's also noticeable in his 1993 babyface run. Compare this to his AWA run where he was a brick shithouse and had amazing cardio.

When Steve Carell was on Letterman promoting Burt Wonderstone a few months back he admitted his appearance on Pawn Stars was completely scripted. I mean it's obvious to anyone watching but it's rare for that to come out I guess.

Oh man Celebrity rehab was so terrible at this in their last couple seasons. Totally embarrassing. It took me right out of the show

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3

2:20 is probably the hardest I've ever laughed at anything in wrestling -
smackdown spoilers are on the free main site now? When did this happen? It's been years

[1991-11-23-WWF-Superstars] Randy Savage and Jake Roberts
Strummer replied to Loss's topic in November 1991
Just a theory but maybe parents were forbidding their children to watch or attend wrestling since the WWF was steering towards an adult direction with their storylines in late 91/early 92. It's a shame it flopped because they ditched the more "adult" direction by the end of 92 or so. The company was receiving a lot of threats from parental groups around this time and Vince will eventually cave into that stuff- 24 replies

They were supposed to kick of the Rock/Brock angle tonight to lead to next year's Mania. I assume it will be a 3 way for the title since Henry didn't get pinned and went over at Mania. Shield v Taker/Kane/Bryan should be fun but we all know who's taking the fall for the face team
-
Other than the placeholder match against Taker in April he really didn't do much from January to summertime when they started the angle where he wanted to be Austin's partner
