Looks like we're getting a women's rumble
-
Any idea who AJ faces at the Rumble? They still probably will go with Nak down the line but I don't think they go in that direction now They could do a 3 way with KO and Zayn but I don't see them doing two three way title matches on the same show. Orton is probably who they go with
-
Btw, has anyone had a more strange year booking wise than Corbin? Constantly comes up short against Ambrose at the beginning of the year, wins mitb, then is completely buried while losing his cash in, then wins .US title only to lose it to a guy who never wins and has been around forever
-
I guess Dolph re-signed again
-
With Bryan involved I expect the main event will have tons of heat if nothing else. I think there is a good chance no one turns tonight and they stretch this out
-
Lots of interesting side stories here Due to them working together now something tells me .ESPN will be more supportive this time when they treated the XFL like a joke back in 2001. It's still going to take a massive pr plan to not have this treated with dismissive glee by the general media. But again they will have espn on their side which is huge. And yeah with Vince distracted from the core product this is going to be Hunter's chance to basically steer the ship creatively. And from the sound of it this will happen in the heart of mania season
-
Not unfair, really. The whole JeriKO -> New Face of America -> KO/Zayn storylines were a drag. The highlight of KO's last two years was the Festival of Friendship segment, and that's it. how did you feel about the Vince headbutting segment?

I'm digging the main event storyline on SD. I don't think it gets blown off on Sunday as yes this is clearly going all the way to mania. They could obvs. have Shane or Bryan turn but the wildcard might be an Orton turn. I don't want another Orton single main event run but him in a group with Owens and Sami might work out. He was most interesting he has been in while when he joined the Wyatts in late 2016/early 2017. I don't think they are going in that direction but I wouldn't be surprised
-
The "Yep Movement"! Kevin and Sami are great
-
Meltzer on WOR said the plan is Brock v Braun v Kane at the Rumble for the title as expected after last night
-
Looks like Brock v Braun v Kane at the Rumble. This way .Brock can go over without .Braun taking the fall
-
WWE just announced that the winner of Braun/Kane tonight will face Brock at Royal Rumble
-
yeah I remember that. Matt Hardy was supposed to take out Rey to write him off TV for awhile but Vince nixed it and gave it to Albert because Albert was a big guy and he felt Matt was too small too push. People online were pissed. And yeah Johnny somehow took the heat for that one
-
Smackdown in 03 had that never ending Vince v Stephanie angle that lasted for 6 months and was super creepy a lot of the time. It pretty much started when Heyman was fired from creative. Can't remember who took his place but it got way worse. Was it Lagana?

205 Live is going to start touring next month. Can't say I was expecting that
-
Remember early 2007 was when Hunter re-injured his quad and was gone for 8 months. This was the time when Cena unequivocally became the top guy in the company. No question about it. People really liked his program with Umaga and it got him over as a tough guy who could survive a fight The Trump stuff was panned at the time and obviously seems shameful in retrospect but it did record Mania business and got the company tons of mainstream coverage. Seems silly now but WWE felt like a red hot company in the first part of that year
-
Man I remember starting a thread here in early 2007 asking if WWE was close to another boom period that's how well the product was being received at the time. Agreed that it was a forgotten strong period for the company
-
Apparently WWE has released Jim Johnston https://twitter.com/ThemeTitan_ this is s shocker if true. Pretty sure he's been with the company since the mid 80s
-
I think you could make the case that until late 95/96 Shawn was *underpushed* in relation to how over he was. Obviously he was pushed strong from 96-98 and I would definitely agree there were lots of times he was pushed too strong post comeback. I always thought he should haven working with more undercard guys in those 8 years post back injury
-
Roman is doing the open challenge gimmick with the IC title on Raw. Real good idea as Raw doesn't have a PPV for 2 months and we are entering the slow holiday season now. Keeps things interesting.
-
Announced that Money in the Bank will be a co branded ppv next year. So that's 5
-
They are really teasing a .Bryan heel turn with him interrupting Shane and showing his look of disapproval and confusion when Shane left backstage. My guess it will be Shane is the one turning in the end. Or maybe they just pull the trigger with Bryan
-
AJ v Jinder for the title announced for Smackdown
-
Stephanie is going to fire Angle anyway isn't she? Sets up Hunter and Angle. They can involve Jordan as well obvs.
