Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
rovert replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Can only think of how hideous some of Velvet Sky's earliest pics were. Veronica Lane from is probably the most conventionally pretty woman in Wrestling since Torrie Wilson. -
I was going to like by default as it has Becky Lynch involved but I loved this WWE.com video. References the Beatles and the Monkees and is something that might have aired on OVW or Memphis TV:

The whole interview is pretty riverting: -

Yep for the same reasons as AJ Styles and they are both excellent at PR, social media and they have their media agent. -

Kazarian gave a pretty candid interview here which he confirms the obvious about the state of p(l)ay: http://www.betweentheropes.com/2014/05/20/frankie-kazarian-parting-ways-tna-wrestling-bad-influence-whats-next/ -
Love the song choice for ICW's Fergal's Last Stand video Devitt is WWE bound obviously and ICW is like a Glasgow, Scotland version of ECW - which is expanding into England soon.

WWE posted this. Pre-RAW in terms of the storyline chronology:

I think he was just speaking socially on that one rather than being completely literal. -

Love hearing stuff like that. I have your Adrian Street piece in the new FSM beside me. Looking forward to reading it over the weekend. -
How can wrestling appeal to educated people with money?

Does modern CHIKARA do this? -
Ok Okada vs Tanahashi makes sense as the cool thing.

I'd assume Christopher Daniels. Devitt wrestles in London Sunday afternoon so it can't be him.

Christ you have to ask this. I know way too much from just reading my Twitter timeline There's no NXT people in the main roster version of the Rosebuds. The girls at least on Raw were made up of mostly girls who WWE looked at during the December Performance Centre tryouts. Mostly unknowns - Melika Francis is one . WWE seem to want a core group under contract. On Raw included in the group Wrestler wise was Shanna - a female wrestler from Portugal who worked some matches with TNA and another indy worker called Barracuda Britney. ROH's Scarlett Bordeaux was among the troupe during Rose's pre-debut house show loop. I know they are doing Tough Enough but WWE is signing and looking at a near inconceivable amount of girls at the moment along having another all female tryout in June. Just this week they signed four of them: Leyvonna Zakari, Dani Jackson, Dasha Kuret/Gonzalez and Lina Fanene. Lina seems like a close relation to The Rock. She is a slightly younger and bigger version of Tamina too.

Not sure what JTG does - all I know is he has a young child and the anniversary of his 7th year under contract comes next week. Yoshi Tatsu trains at NXT and does night classes to improve his English. Curt Hawkins is seemingly allowed to have his own Wrestling school - Create A Pro which he runs with ex-WWE developmental stalwart Pat Buck. Don't think either three are flown in to be part of the "catering crew" like a Zack Ryder often is.

Yeah I remember Evan Bourne working on his OVW(?) deal on the main roster for the longest time. Maxine quit in part because of the same thing.
-
They weren't released they took time off and WWE wanted them BADLY for Total Divas - I assume as they were the most vampy Reality TV bait Divas they had contact with. Yeah that was definitely reported in places for sure.

Kevin Sullivan's 1995 Guest Booker had Sullivan saying that essentially The Dungeon of Doom was essentially Kevin's way of getting Hulk to have confidence in Kevin so that Kevin could what he wanted to do with Hulk without Hulk using his veto power.

Botchamania vs RF Video seems to be the story of the day: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=789545167723205&set=a.139116242766104.24987.115215825156146&type=1 RF Video sent Maffew/Botchamania a cease and desist on using RF stuff in his videos.

Matt D in 2014 to the new/current generation of fans EVERYTHING is a dirtsheet not just the Observer and Torch - newzsites, Bleacher Report or similar, blogs etc. Kids most likely were tweeting Sheamus endlessly about it after reading it on Wrestlezone of whatever. Sheamus likely didn't see the original report or reads the Observer. For whatever it is worth Sheamus when he was in Ireland at least wasn't the type that was reading Newsletters or watching ROH DVDs. I don't think he is that sophisticated himself in regards to Wrestling journalism.
-
Sheamus opened some Shaywisers on Twitter: Yeah Sheamus has no background at all. When was in Ireland there two Wrestling schools one that was formed by a bunch of guys who went over to UK Hammerlock for Summer who brought back that curriculum of British shoot with small S Wrestling and other School was essentially self thought guys. Sheamus was part of the latter. Never fanced himself as a hard man just some who wanted to go WWE as an entertainer with no pretences.
-
Randy Orton told that story on a radio interview. It was over a protein shaker, Tatsu kicked his butt and locked him out of the house they shared with others. I know two other fights Sheamus was involved in in Ireland were he was bested. One result in a kitchenette being destroyed at a training school. Major scandal in Irish Wrestling at the time.
